Such a gorgeous friendly restaurant and with a amazing 50% offer on Sunday til Thursday…we have been four times now amd never been disappointed

Went tonight as felt like a nice authentic Italian pasta. Atmosphere was nice, draught beer was lovely. Then the food arrived 10 mins after ordering. Mussels with cream sauce arrived Luke warm at best. Sent back and were heated in microwave. Cream sauce was bland and I wish I'd just sent back. Meatballs were dry and also microwaved. Next comes the carbonara, bland and far from the standards I've had in other Italians and to.top it off parmesan was not fresh and definitely processed which Is shocking in an Italian. To top the lot they'd thrown 2 courses down and we were in and out in 45 mins max clearly microwave most meals unless pizza and my recommendation would be to stay away unless you want to pay for overpriced bland food that the chef clearly hadn't tasted before serving.wont be returning.

I would just like to thank all the staff for making my mums 77th Birthday such a lovely evening. The food was amazing and the ambience is the best. Highly recommend.

Went at 4.30 pm on Thursday evening. 1 table with people on & 2 people at the bar. Was shown to a 2 seater table we asked can we have a bigger table we were told no as other tables set up for 4 people. The place was empty.! We intended to get number of small plates, a bottle of wine & water for the table. I don’t know where they expected us to put all this. Maybe on the floor. Won’t be going back & certainly couldn’t recommend in all good conscience. Travelled from Liverpool to eat there as was recommended by friends. Searched google for other local restaurants. Found 1 that was more than happy to seat us at a larger table & take our £60.

My daughter wanted to go to an Italian restaurant as it was her 14th birthday and we decided to visit here. I can easily say we was not left disappointed at all!! The food was lovely and plentiful even the starters were massive portions. The level of service was second to none!! Nothing was too much hassle even down to bringing a birthday cake in for my daughter and balloons also. We was constantly asked if everything was ok and if we needed anymore drinks so we was never without one waiting for someone to approach us or us trying to get the attention from someone. The meat in the lamb kebabs and other lamb dish just melted in your mouth and wasn’t overcooked, the lasagna was throughly enjoyed by my nan and the pasta went down well for 3 of our other guests apart from 1 small mention of there being a bit too much pepper on but it wasn’t that bad to send back or make a complaint about. We didn’t take full use of the 50% off pasta and pizza for everyone due to wanting different dishes but even paying full price for the other meals was worth every penny. Usually my daughter asks to go to another ‘Italian’ that serves small portions….im sure you know where….but as my husband and I don’t like it as everything just taste the same we came across this restaurant without realising it existed when I only live in the town next to it and some family who joined us live in the same town! So from now on when Italian food is suggested we will be heading straight here!! The complimentary limoncello went down a treat and cleansed our palates! We skipped desserts due to the portion sizes and my daughter’s birthday cake of which when they brought out to her they played happy birthday and with it being a smaller intimate restaurant other diners also joined in. The hallway to the toilets also need a special mention to how it has been decorated and has lovely ‘insta worthy’ features as you can see in my photos.

Wow what an experience, i came here with my colleague and our client and we had starter garlic bread, absolute amazing by the way. We then had our mains which I ordered the Spaghetti Bolognaise 🍝 mmm 😋 😋 and then came desert a Italian cheese cake mmmm 😋. This place is definitely under-rated. We've just been for my Daughter's 13th Birthday. From when we walked in we were made to feel very welcome. The staff were really friendly. They let my 10yr old have her pic taken with them. The food was absolutely beautiful, fresh and so tasty. We knew about the service charge before we went as it does state on the website. And for 5 off us and a take away order. with starters, mains 2 lots of drinks and dessert for the Birthday Girl who they also made a fuss off, put a candle on her cake played Happy Birthday for her and made her feel special. It's definitely the little things. Nothing was too much trouble. The service charge was well worth paying as we would have left about the same for a tip anyway. We will be back again without a doubt. Another fabulous meal at one of my favourite restaurants in Widnes, the 50% off the pizza and pasta deal is amazing and means we can visit more often. The food is delicious and the staff are so lovely, so helpful and friendly. This restaurant never disappoints and we always come away satisfied.

Food was ok nothing special. I was very disappointed when I checked my receipt to discover the restaurant had charged me £4.01 service charge on my £40.05 bill … I was always under the impression tipping was at the customer own digression? Apparently not at San Marinos… won’t be going again … just be aware if you are eating here…. DON’T TIP THEY WILL ADD ON 10% THEMSELVES … Cheek….

Why haven’t we been here before! It’s a great little Italian restaurant offering great food and drinks and served by lovely staff. The portion size is generous and the food is tasty and authentic. The place has a nice atmosphere and I’m glad to say there wasn’t any loud music making the diners shout to be heard. All in all it’s a real gem and now we know it’s there - we will be back.

Starters we had the bread platter and marinated Green olives. For mains - I ordered the Risotto and it was delicious, really tasty with lots of flavours! My wife’s chicken and broccoli Alfredo was nice but very bland. Portion sizes was more than we could manage but this was probably my down to the plenty of bread and olives we’d eaten. The only real let down was the price of the drinks - 4 drinks was equal to half the price of the bill. All in all - not a bad experience.

Nice welcome, warm and inviting, quite busy on a Saturday night so glad we booked. Good menu, the food was delicious, plentiful and well priced. Nice choice of wines, the Gavi was good excellent - would definitely go again.

San Marino offers beautiful food, friendly staff and an excellent atmosphere! It is my favourite local restaurant and the service is always second to none! You can tell that the food is lovingly prepared by the chefs and that both passion and pride goes into the quality dishes they produce. A must visit place if you are in the area!

Mid week pizza treat and visit to the cinema. We really loved the pizza here, the service was quick and friendly. We had the mid week 1/2 price deal, which is fantastic value for money. Pizza arrived very quickly and both of them tasted absolutely gorgeous. Favourite pizza!

San Marino is a really nice place for Italian food and pizza and pasta is 50% off I think Mon - Thurs(happy to be corrected). The place is very clean and we were promptly acknowledged and served. Firstly for drinks and we ordered a pizza each. These were really tasty, nice and hot and very well presented. I had the cheesecake for dessert which was really well presented and very tasty. We went there quite early afternoon and it does seem to get very busy as the day goes on. Our waitress was very pleasant, friendly and efficient. I would recommend San Marino for a very pleasant dining experience.

We came for a meal to celebrate my daughter's birthday. There were 7 of us - no problems with fitting us in, very accommodating. Lovely food, excellent service and very reasonably priced. Will definitely be returning.

Very welcome atmosphere with great service and beautiful house made pizza you can taste the freshness we had meatballs starter and you can tell they also house made so tasty as main I can recommend steak as that’s what I had my other friend had salmon fillet and he was over the moon with roasted pots it was delicious ended up with very tasty lemon cheesecake we will be back in short time very nice place to spend evening thank you

Have eaten here before and the food has been amazing, ordered on line this time and had to collect which wasn't a problem, ended up waiting around for a further 10 /15 minutes again wasn't a problem, once home (which was a 5 minute trip if that) starter was cold, Mains lukewarm and sides the same, considering I had to wait for the food to be finished cooking i would have expected the food to be piping hot, not a cheap takeaway either little disappointed, did try to ring but every time I rang the restaurant it was engaged or no one answering, was really busy when I picked up our order.
