A bit shambolic ordered through Deliveroo really disappointed in terms of food, packaging and soggy food - salad tasted like fairy liquid - terrible

The service and restaurant was amazing! So friendly and accommodating! 10/10! The food was ok, the salads were nice but my soup was cold and quite bland (they warmed it up again for me with no problem and gave me a small salad to compensate which I thought was really lovely). I would definitely go again

Had falafel take away. The food was ok but cold. I would have preferred the bread and the falafels to be at least warm. Portions also were particularly small considering the price.

Most likely, the best humus in London. For a humus-head like me - this is quite a statement. Would qualify Sami’s as a destination good place, it’s an easy decision to make to head there early lunch time or for an evening meal. Chicken soup is 6 stars, one can tell that the chief was not short of time, neither he was short of chicken bones when cooking. Large yellow oval shaped forms on the surface confirm the above statement. Chicken liver dish was a serious winner. I am slowly working my way through the menu to expecting only the best for the best. For food, service and ambience it wins five stars all around. Thank you!

Ignores by two waitresses who decided to serve two other tables that arrived after us. Plenty of other places to go with far better service!!!

Fun place to eat but food a bit too greasy.

First of all the waitress was exceptional. I mentioned that we would like peas with our salt beef , in Blooms it was often served thus, so she went out to buy some! Snap with heimishe cucumbers. Unbelievable ! But the food itself, no. Chicken soup much too thin and the salt beef was reminiscent of pressed beef from kosher school lunches 50 yrs ago. Anyone who has tasted real salt beef, brisket delivered steaming from the kitchen and sliced thickly is going to be disappointed. At school dinners we had to eat the stuff because our mothers were volunteers, here we didn't want to upset the waitress, who is as good as Jesus used to be at Le Caprice!

Went with 2 friends for dinner. We ordered one mixed grill, one lamb cutlet w/chips and one chicken liver/onions with mashed potato. Lamb was chewy, fatty and tasteless... quite inedible. Mashed Potato was hard, cold, lumpy and tasteless. Waitress asked how the food was.. I answered "Awful and inedible". She said she'd tell the 'chef' and never came back. Lady (the mashgiha) who came to get our payment asked how the food was.. I answered "Awful and inedible". She said that she's sorry and she'll tell the owner but that he'd stepped out at that moment. Paid and left.. Frustrated, hungry, disappointed and angry. Don't go to Sami's...

I was really disappointed, we ordered cooked food and it wasn't good. I had to return the dish of Liver and onions. They gave me a Chicken thigh on the grill instead, but I didn't feel the price was worth it. I don't think I'll be going back there ever.

Everything about this place is hard to swallow. Poor food quality, really poor service and insane prices! Go elsewhere.

Honestly, the service was awful, waitress got two orders wrong, one I managed to correct as I heard her give it to kitchen staff. I was given no cutlery other than a spoon until I asked for knife & fork. The hummus was okay, the Israeli salad ok, but the lamb skewer was a rip off at £21 ... tiny portion, with burned onion rings and a drab cabbage salad. Total bill £48 which I had to wait ages for, and eventually got up and went to the til (in a half full restaurant?) for 2 small bowls of salad, hummus with falafel (I only wanted pita, not falafel - wouldn't correct order! and a tiiiiiiiny lamb skewer. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. Wouldn't even give one star if that was an option :((((

Great food and great prices! Took a very long time for food to come and staff was rather rude but.

Our return flight to Miami was canceled, so American Airlines put us up the Radisson Blu, near Heathrow airport. We had no kosher for dinner with us, and we were too far away for Uber Eats to deliver from Golders Green. So we hopped in an Uber and had the most delicious Yemenite soup, Israeli salad, and a big fat homemade double patty burger with a beer. Just what we needed, some comfort food after a lot of traveling stress.

I went to Samis over Pesach this year. The restaurant was heaving with people and they had placed so many tables in the restaurant that it was virtually impossible to move around. Our table ordered 3 plates of chicken soup and kneidlach a small plate of salad chips and 2 drinks and the bill came to £55.00 !! Come on ! A totally average and unexciting level of food exploiting the "privilege " of eating out during Pesach . I'm never going there again .

We made an order for the soup, the plastic boxes were broken, we also ordered a pita and a laffa, only pita arrived and with sauce on it, after we talked to them, they send us laffa, also the laffa came with sauce, look like Shwarma sauce on it.

Good, easy food and very good service

The worst resturant in Golders Green by a mile..... We got a shawarma wrap with chips and a shawarma with fried rice. The food was dry and borderline warm, it tasted like it was microwaved after its been in the fridge for a few days. The chips were extremely soggy. The only decent thing on the plate was the salad and tea. Furthermore, the portions was a rip off for the price we paid. £21 for half a plate. We will not recommend this restaurant, there are other far better kosher resturants near by. I am extremely baffled how they are charging so much for so little.

Quality of the Schwarma not up to its usual Standard

We went for a tasty supper, only 1 other table was taken, and there was no take away business I ordered liver and onions and a glass of red wine. The liver and onions were tasty but tepid, the wine was cold from the fridge!! My partner ordered shawarma and chips, which arrived when I had finished mine. The meat was inedible and cold. No one came to ask if it was ok, if we wanted something else or to bring the bill. When we were paying the manager asked if we had enjoyed the meal. I told him as written above. He shrugged and wished us a nice evening. Terrible food, wine, attitude and non existent service. I want to give no stars, but it appears that this is a field to fill in!

בתור שומרי כשרות, חזרנו לאכול אצל סמי מספר פעמים לאחר שניסינו עוד מסעדות כשרות בסגנונות שונים באזור. הזמנו המבורגר בצלחת, לאפה , ציפס , שניצל, שווארמה וכו. מחיר המנה תאם את גודלה, היה משביע וטעים. המסעדה הייתה נקייה. השירות היה מהיר וטוב.

My friend wanted a typical, decent Jewish food and atmosphere experience... and so we went to Sami's. It was a quiet Monday night for them and they were attentive for the 3 hours we sat there. Good and interesting food.... Who knew what a Moroccan Cigar was and how tasty. Recommended.

Visited this restaurant a couple of times while working in the local area and staying in a hotel close by. Both meals I had were delicious. The staff were polite and welcoming also.

We ate Hamburger that was very tasty. The place is clean. The service was great.

First time visitor here, I only came in because they have tandoori chicken kebabs in a Laffa Iraqi bread which I've had before elsewhere. The food was very good, properly cooked, properly flavoured, and it was a good size portion. I also ordered an Israeli salad, an aubergine salad, and I also received some chips which I hadn't ordered... So, would I come here again? I won't keep you in suspense... YES I WOULD. Why? Because it was peaceful, lacking other customers actually as I was literally the only customer in here after 8pm! But I enjoy peace and quiet actually. But for a food business to be this quiet they must be struggling. I can see why though. If Gordon Ramsay came in here in sure he would point out the decor is in need of an update as it looks very... 70's Indian restaurant mixed with modern touches which, for me, just doesn't work. If you can ignore the interior decor and just come for the food then you'll be very pleased. I haven't mentioned the constantly flickering lights right above my head which I found incredibly annoying. However, I would come back at some point because the food is good.

Zero stars! Dreadful food...avoid! Chopped liver was like sloppy pate, no egg etc in it served with 3 little crackers and zero presentation! I suggest they go to the Kosher butcher and deli down the road and ask them how to make chopped liver. The Chicken soup was like flavoured luke warm water! I have also been ill for the last few days! Never again!

Workers all wear masks and gloves when preparing food. Hygiene is very good. The owners take a lot of care with their kashrut standards. Food is excellent. Prices reasonable.

It's quite hit or miss with what you order. Can be really nice but they can also mess up the schwarmas often!

Very disappointed and surprised too. Was asked to move because a group of twelve were arriving but restaurant was pretty empty. Order two lamb kebabs but it was off the because they had marinated them enough. The third and fourth orders were salt beef which was also off. Good news though. The overpriced coke and beer was available. Their standards have slipped. And they looked at us incredulously as we walked out.

15 pounds half salad, only cucumber and tomato, bread was raw, Im very disappointed. Any other kebab restaurant is better than that.

It was justifiably very busy because the pricing is fair, the quantities are fair and the food is good.

The food was excellent, from the chicken soups and vegetable soups through the main courses to the desserts. And the service was friendly, helpful and efficient. The ambience was less good, not least because on a cold night there was insufficient shielding from the effects of the front door being opened from time to time. All in all, it was Excellent

I asked for a coke which was served warm, no ice offered. I ordered the beef burger which came served in a dry stale bun. It was supposed to have pickles with it. These consisted of 4 very thin tiny slices of pickled gherkin. A salad was also part of this meal. This came in a bowl with large pieces of lettuce and very small pieces of cucumber and tomato. The chips were nice. My overall impression was of an uninspired meal, eye wateringly expensive and if it was possible to rate this minus 5 stars l would

This was not our first visit here, and we were delighted with the unexpected facelift - the previously garish decor has gone, replaced with modern elegance and pretty tableware. Our food was delicious and the staff could not have been nicer. In the bustling restaurant, all the diners looked happy! A special shout-out to our very sweet waitress, and to the excellent manager. Thank you Sami's :)

Rubbish, branch in Hendon is 10x better.

Sami’s used to be a great, delicious restaurant however, it is now much worse. The service is slow and the waiters are rude and unhelpful. The food is average however not worth the price or the long wait. Overall, i would not recommend. If you need a good kosher meat restaurant in the area, i would recommend going to Hummus Bar or Pita.

This is my first review for a restaurant as the experience my table had there was so bad, it merited warning others. My issues: Price... this place is a rip off. £18 for a plate of schwarma that would be considered a kids portion in other restaurants. I know kosher meat is more expensive but the overall quality of the meat seemed cheap. My cousin had to spit out several pieces from his goulash as they were just chunks of fat. Service... the staff were abrasive and not particularly polite. One person was rather nice but only because we... Found an insect in the hummus... yes. The hummus shakshuka had an insect in it. The man we told was kind enough to take it away and make another. Overall... both the food and the water were lukewarm. The only thing that was as hot as it should be was the freshly remade hummus shakshuka. I genuinely do not know how this place is still in business when they over charge, serve lower quality food, had an insect in food and had staff who would rather not be there. I will not be going there again. Be warned for anyone who is, spend your money elsewhere.

Very nice meat kosher restaurant last night I visited samis golfers green nw11 also has one at Hendon nw4 also edgeware and finchley 4 meat kosher rest open till late closes Friday night and all day Saturday for shabbat and 10 days of passover this year which is April 20 till 30th April inclusive

Over charged and wrong order first and last time I will go there

We booked a table for seven which was ready for us when we arrived and menus and drinks were promptly offered. All of the first courses were good except the bean soup which was more tomato than bean however it was quickly changed and not on the bill. All the mains were excellent, large portions well cooked and enjoyable. The restaurant looked spotless and any dishes from the kitchen were covered in clingfilm the sign of good hygiene. Excellent kosher food, good service, one to visit again.

Good food at a reasonable price. Friendly staff

The food was not very hot (as in heat) and had to be sent back. They forgot part of the order-which is disappointing. The food was okay but not over exciting- it was filling. The waitresses were excellent and I could not fault them. Hopefully they will up their game. Nothing very much else to say and I hope when I visit again they show a marked improovement on the food.

We decided to try casher food and the waitress was very helpful by giving some suggestions and explaining the menu. We loved it.

When the lafa is fresh, than its delicious.
