Great food and the finest service. Owners who really engage and know how to nurture customers. Chips are next level and indulged my love of Onion vinegar. Highly recommend this fish and chip shop, easily the best in Maple cross, Denham and rickmansworth.

Lovely fish and chips, made fresh, and were kindly given a free drink due to the wait. More than happy to wait for freshly battered fish!

Fish and chips were OK fairly quiet when i arrived so 10 mins wait was no problem. Considering they were freshly cooked for me then they were disappointing. Just weren’t crispy either the chips or the batter. Dissapointing

New owners there. Nice guys but please. Change olil more often as it smells like gasoline .chips taste very old and in general. Change oil more often. I would be happy to pay £2 more but oil has to be changed more often. Had to make fish and chips at home today as did not want yours.

An enormous amount of food for a decent price. Tasting amazing.

Avoid avoid avoid ! Third time now I'd rang 20 minutes ahead not to be late for a nightshift and still had to wait 15 minutes on top. Prices gone up and definitely changed of management as the new mob are rude. Told an old lady minimum spend £4 as shed only order chips which cost £2.90. Persisted to tell her the minimum spend even when she'd apologised she was only visiting the area for the first time

Local fish and chip shop. The good: good portions, ok quality and overall fair price for what you get. The bad: service! I know they can get busy but when you walk in and get told it will be no more than 8 minutes but takes 20minutes to get your food… not great and not the first time this happened. We are lucky to have other options nearby and will likely only come back when we have a lot of time on our hands.

Hmm, not as good as it used to be. I wonder if it’s changed hands… cod used to be thick and flakey with crispy batter. Today’s was thin and quite soggy.

Absolutely amazing chippy! We had a huge order for a function. The fish and chips were all piping hot and ready to collect when agreed. The staff were flexible and friendly. The food absolutely top notch! Don't think I'd consider going anywhere else now! Thank you all so much, what a brilliant, friendly and helpful team you are!

Superb Haddock and chips. Was passing nearby and after searching google decided to take a chance, so pleased i did. The haddock was cooked there and then, the batter was light and crisp with the fish still lovely and moist inside. The chips were also beautifully cooked. The gentleman cooking really knows the art of fish and chips and the lady serving was very pleasant and welcoming. Without doubt the best fish and chips i have had in a very long time. I wont be back in the area for a few weeks but i will most definitely buy from there again. Brilliant

Incredible fish. Well done! I've bought from here a few times now and the quality hasn't slipped. Excellent quality fish - really nicely cooked. The batter is light but crispy - perfect. They were happy to double-dip my chips too which made them all the better. Much needed in the local area.

This fish and chip shop is so terrible i went in there and they asked for a small portion of chips and it cost a tenner smh, i questioned why this was so and the staff threatened to beat my head in with baseball bats whilst riding around the corridor with motorbikes. I wouldnt even let my dog eat here

The worst fish and chip shop I've ever visited. Not local to the area but me and my partner were visiting nearby. looking for lunch we thought fish and chips was a safe bet, we was wrong. Barely acknowledged us when we walked in, server seemed frustrated when we added something to the order after she had started packing food. Missed a food item off our order. Chips chunky but not nice by any means really over greasy and saturated; didn't seem fresh. Battered sausage had barely a bit of crisp on it. Asked for salt and vinegar but didn't receive. Curry sauce just tasted heavily of pepper no flavour. Worst offender was the chicken burger, didn't expect anything fancy being a chip shop but it had the most pathetic pinch of wilted scabby lettuce I've ever seen. Chip portion on the small was laughable. Rang back to make the staff aware of their mistakes to be told I got it wrong and that there was salt and vinegar on the chips plus I apparently never ordered the missing item at the till. I know it's a chip shop take away at the end of the day so no high bar expectations but I feel compelled to shout DO NOT EAT HERE!
