Super nice food and lovely staff! Really tasty and flavoursome. Fresh locally sourced ingredients, highly recommend!

We had an excellent meal at Salt Marsh Kitchen and will definitely return when we're back in Tywyn next year. The menu was much broader than the website suggests - I had a delicious seafood curry and my mum had a tasty duck dish. The feel of the placed is relaxed and friendly, we really enjoyed that too. Highly recommend!

We visited last night and I have to say what a find, amazing food very tasty and great atmosphere. Very reasonable price and the staff were relaxed but at the same time very attentive and professional. We had starters and mains and both were fantastic. Wife had the Korean BBQ mixed vegetables something she normally wouldn’t pick but she wasn’t disappointed, I had the mussels and again very very good. The mains for me were mouth watering, I had the seafood paella so so tasty and I couldn’t stop smiling because it overcame my expectations in a good way. Thank you for your amazing service to the industry.

The restaurant was funky and relaxed (except for a few screaming children, but that was no fault of the restaurant). The staff were friendly and attentive. I was starving & had high expectations. My food was OK but not amazing. I was really disappointed by the Goan curry - tasted like it was made with an English supermarket paste, with no taste of coconut (& unexpexted potatoes - maybe to bulk it out?) but not many prawns (2), like something I could cook myself, not delicious. And for the price I thought this was expensive.

Had a great time at Salt Marsh Kitchen. We loved the current menu which is not over-sized but still makes it hard for you to choose from all the good stuff available. We also enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, great and friendly service. You can see that the focus is to provide a good time with great, high quality food and nothing to fancy. Also the homemade desserts are delicious! Would recommend not anyone visiting the area!

Wow.... you do not disappoint.... fantastic food, brilliant service..... so good we've booked again for tomorrow 😁. Tampura veg for starter, beer battered haddock for main then Eton mess and salted caramel cheesecake for dessert.... wow 😁

We liked the good range of food on the menu from British, European and Asian offerings. We had a very nice meal, seafood was excellent, and flavours were tantalising. Very good service. Excellent raspberry crème brûlée. All in all a great evening.

The Salt Marsh Kitchen is one of my favourite restaurants and it didn't disappoint when we visited on 20th July. Food quality is amazing and I love the specials board. The staff are so friendly and make the night very special. I simply don't have a bad word to say about the restaurant. It's a must visit especially if you like fish.

The ambience and service were excellent. We had a main which was below par, too dry. This was knocked off the bill, without hesitation. Superb starters, scallops and crab tart. A chocolate torte with cherries was also a highlight. Wine list looked good and reasonably priced. Good range of Welsh drinks, beer, gin and whisky.

Thrilled to find the Salt Marsh Kitchen while spending a weekend near Tywyn. We had a lovely dinner here and had two of the specials - Sea Bass and Skate. Both were excellent and washed down with a delicious Picpoul. We were very well looked after the and restaurant was buzzing. Would definitely visit again!

A warm welcome and absolutely gorgeous food, locally sourced produce and a really exciting menu. I cannot recommend this place highly enough! Four adults and two children (one fussy) staff were brilliant with them and nothing was too much trouble. Thanks, we cannot wait to be back there.

2 kid 2 adults for a family meal, great food and great service. It may be small but they do every thing very well. Nothing to fault, we will be back in the summer.

Easily the best meal of our trip. Just a fabulous experience from start to finish. Scott and his team are incredible hosts. Rare to get such a personal touch from an incredible restaurant. Four of us had cauliflower to start with and they were to die for. Mains were even better. Two of our group are vegans and they were so well catered for. Finished off with sticky toffee pudding. We visited for a family birthday dinner, we were well received. All we can say it’s a Fantastic place, with fantastic food, we were well looked after from start to finish. I would highly recommend here to eat to anyone asking. Thanks guys for looking after us all. 🥂🥂

Lovely Restaurant in Tywyn Soon as we walked in very friendly atmosphere was friendly owner and staff had different wines and bottle beer etc. Food was amazing I had mackerel to start and sea bass main husband had the pork to start and fresh haddock homemade chips peas tarte sauce 😋 we were both full up no room for sweet. We can recommend here and will be back even just for the sweet Amazing 👏.

The team at Salt Marsh Kitchen were super helpful. We were looking for somewhere to take out food from (as we were travelling with our dog) that served good quality sea food and the gentleman we spoke to checked in with us and gave us an updated menu via facebook. We called on the day to order, and it was ready in 20-30 minutes. The restaurant looks lovely inside and has a nice selection of local gins and whiskeys. We had some local cider which was delicious. The paella was everything I wanted it to be. Really generous portions and full of flavour. My partner had the fish and chips which he said were great (peas not photographed as he doesn't eat them, so more for me!). It all travelled really well back to our campsite outside Aberdyfi. The puddings were amazing too and I'll be dreaming of that coconut panacotta for a long time. Thanks so much! Will definitely visit again when we're back this way!

Our first visit. Lovely food. Excellent ambience. Charming staff. All round enjoyable meal. The menu has plenty of varied choices. The owner is charming. We will definitely go back.

Wow.... what a gem. Food is spectacular, lovely staff, cannot fault it at all. Friendly, good range of drinks but the food is definitely the star of the show. We had pork bao buns and battered cauliflower for our starters, both really tasty, then beer battered haddock for main ... so fresh and tasty and the chips don't let them down either, lovely homemade tartar sauce. Couldn't resist the deserts, we had a chocolate Berry desert and a salted caramel biscoff cheesecake which was absolutely gorgeous, so silky smooth.... wow. Definitely worth a visit, not the cheapest but by far the best meal we have had in Tywyn. Oh and thank you for retrieving my phone when I dropped it outside and hadn't even noticed 😊

Ate at Salt marsh on Thursday night with friends had lobster bisque followed by lobster Thermidor both excellent . Salted caramel cheesecake was amazing Great friendly atmosphere Scott an amazing host . Will return on next visit most definitely

Delicious meal - definitely the best we had in our week’s stay in the area. I had a special of bao buns with amazing crispy pork and then a delicious Thai curry while my husband had mackerel pate and then paella. Enjoyed everything - cleaned every plate and even fitted in a dessert. The surroundings were nice and the service friendly. Highly recommended.

We stumbled upon this gem by accident and it was one of the best meals we’ve had. We all ordered different starters and mains and we were blown away by everything we ate. We finished off the meal with the lotus cheesecake which was absolutely delicious. The owner and all staff were really hospitable and couldn’t be friendlier. Would recommend massively!

We went there on Saturday evening for drinks and to watch the Mustang Valley blues band. I honestly can’t recall having a better night in Tywyn.

Didn’t pick it at first as menu didn’t look much but was pleasantly surprised when we went in, staff very welcoming and food was excellent.

We called into the salt marsh today just by chance for Sunday lunch. Very pleasantly surprised. Food was excellent, service friendly with a highly competent jazz band providing good music and great atmosphere. Well done all, we will certainly be back.

Visited the Cafe Bar last Saturday really by chance. Tywyn doesn't really have much to offer in the way of restaurants and the two recommended were fully booked.

Heard all about this place so I decided to pay a visit with friends .

Our annual outing to this establishment.They have moved premise so roomier ,and a better ambiance .

A bar where we found the drinks expensive where it cost £10 for two drinks We went to a pub across the road where the same two drinks were £3 cheaper

We really liked this place. Somewhere a bit different from your average pub or cafe. Nice quirky decor and atmosphere. Really enjoyed the mojito! Food was nice, had burgers on one visit and breakfast on another. Worth a visit if you're in Tywyn.

the five of us popped in for lunch on Monday, but it was too busy and we were told that they don't take bookings for groups of 7 or fewer. So we returned the following day, based upon a second hand recommendation.

It gets busy! but the staff were friendly and accommodating in advising us when tables would be free. We weren't disappointed. Limited b range of meals with creative twists but something for everyone using locally sourced ingredients.

Having visited lovely Tywyn many times over the last 40 years, it’s really good to see the eating place choice improving and this cafe is a gem. We went as a family of 9 and the service and food was superb, the menu choice excellent and great choices for people who are vegetarian and vegan.

They really have got this quirky little venue right, with indide and outside seating. Menu is selected to burger and pizza dishes, but they have a great little artisan twist on things and the food actually is very good.

When we arrived the cafe was full. We chose to sit outside in the sun. You order food drinks at the bar and the team bring it to you when ready. Great service and a great team who always seem to be smiling.

This restaurant has an interesting menu, with generous portions. We enjoyed our two meals there, though would recommend it gets some air-conditioning as it was very hot, on a not very hot day.

This cafe is in the old market hall. It is very modern with excellent choice of food and drink. There were 3 of us and we all had burger and chips but all different. All were very tastie and well presented. Would highly recommend giving this place a try.

Had excellent food (in my case a Pizza) in this restaurant/cafe. It's a little hidden gem in Tywyn so well worth a visit. Great selection of beers too

Visited twice whilst in tywyn for a few days. Good vibe to the place. Good selection of food and drinks. Happy hour 4-6pm. Pizzas taste great. Nice garden to the rear. Staff friendly. Well worth a visit. You won't be disappointed.

Really loved this cafe! Great menu including vegan options. Staff were very knowledgeable about the menu and very friendly. It’s got a great atmosphere! If the sun is shining - check out the beer garden. Here, you can start off with breakfast and stay until tea with cocktails galore! Ordered a vegan breakfast and it was huge and super tasty. Highly recommended!

Came for dinner tonight with the family while on holiday in Tywyn. Great beer and fantastic food. The pizzas are amazing. Lovely and attentive waiting staff.

We have been here for lunch a couple of times and have always enjoyed it. However this time we had some family and friends with us that are in Tywyn for the first time so booked an evening meal at Salt Marsh Cafe last night for everyone. We couldnt have been more pleased. Everyone enjoyed it including the kids. It was a very relaxed atmosphere with great fresh pizzas and burgers. Good beer and cocktails too. There was a big group of us but the staff were great and couldn't be more helpful. Great addition to Tywyns high street!

We always come here for delicious pizza but my husband and I shared a cheese board....it was amazing! So much cheese! Really nice relaxed place to eat!

An absolute gem of a restaurant. Great food, made from outstanding local produce including meat, seafood, cheese, beers, ciders and wine and the complete range of Penderyn Whiskies served by a knowledgeable barman....we will be back!

On a warm day, look for the outside seating at the back of the bar behind a sheltered wall. Food depends on the time of day but we can recommend the Pizza and the salads

We ate here twice this week during our holiday in Tywyn, once in the evening and at lunch time too. Service and food were great both times. The pizzas and salads were excellent.

Excellent food last Friday night trendy reggae music and friendly staff. Highly recommended. Also went for a Sunday breakfast of eggs benedict which was excellent.

What a great little place in Tywyn, a real gem and an unexpected find. Took my family twice while were in Tywyn after being recommended by the camp site. FAB pizzas, the best we have ever had and such a cool place, the interior is very creative & quirky and a 'beachy themed' garden. We will be back next time.

We stopped at a local camp site and was looking for WiFi for my girlfriend to do her uni work. The cafe was a nice clean place and the staff were friendly.

We visited the lovely seaside town of Tywyn On a week’s vacation and on the third day we stumbled across the beautiful Salt Marsh Cafe Bar,

Whilst on a family holiday in Tywyn my family and myself visited SMCB for lunch (having already eaten at the Salt Marsh restaurant) we assumed that SMCB would afford the same level of excellence. We were not to be disappointed. We had two memorable lunches. Excellent: service, food and hospitality. Not an extensive menus but the food on offer was perfection. We ate in the “Secret Garden” at the rest of the restaurant. This part of the premises is a walled garden most conducive to a pleasurable eating experience.

Went with family on the Sunday early doors 6.30pm. Nice food but not table service. I can still highly recommend though. Burger was delicious

I have been holidaying in Tywyn for many years and have to say this little gem is a great addition to the town. Amazing food, a good selection of wine, local beers and cocktails all topped off with a relaxed atmosphere and chilled outdoor spaces. This is a lovely spot to unwind with family and friends - it’s child and dog friendly.

Thought we try the Salt Marsh Cafe bar after the great meal at the Salt Marsh Kitchen, all I can say is wow the pizza was the best ive ever tasted, my partner had the Chicken burger. Staff all came across as very friendly and inviting, Caroline couldnt do enough for us. Cant wait to come back on a evening and try the cocktails in the shed (Beach house)

We ordered a couple of cakes, a scone, some teas and a panini. The cakes came out quickly enough but we reminded the waitress that we were still waiting on a panini. She later brought another drink and again we reminded her that we were still waiting on the panini, but 20 minutes later it still hadn’t come out. I reminded her a third time and she said she would go check on it - it had been left in the kitchen while everyone else had finished their food and the panini had gone cold. Really poor service, especially considering the reminders. No apologies from the waitress - she seemed oblivious. Won’t be coming back.

I love coming to the SaltMarsh and so do my family! It’s brought such a positive vibe to Tywyn, as well as a fully stocked bar the food is lush and it’s such a good atmosphere. Can’t wait for my next cocktail here.👌🏼

Sadly this cafe preys on tourists - it invites you in with a funky ambience and catchy menu - once in and money taken you wait- we waited 45 minutes for bruschetta and chips. When the food arrives its poor quality and very small portions for quite high prices - we paid 4.25 each for half a bun with a scattering of tomato each plus a small container of chips at an extra 1.95

There were 8 of us, meaning that the young lad needed to push two tables together, however, the middle aged blond lady, who must have been having a bad day, took issue with this and, quite unprofessionally, had a go at him, which made us feel embarrassed for the poor fella. She then spent the next few minutes, huffing and puffy and tutting, trying to push past us in order to carry on serving, as we were in her way, making us feel even more awkward.

Nos ha gustado bastante la comida (pizza, ensalada y menú infantil de pollo con patatas). El precio justo para la calidad y las raciones pero nos ha sorprendido tener que pagar antes de que nos sirvieran, que no te tomarán nota en la mesa y que nos sirvieran las cervezas calientes y más caras. Finalmente y tras pedir explicaciones nos las han cambiado pero nos querían cobrar las más caras aunque ha rectificado.

We went in for coffee and some for breakfast. Excellent coffee, beautifully cooked breakfasts served by cheerful welcoming staff. This is a relaxed eatery but producing high quality from its quite broad menu. Also a good bar for drinks later in the day. The cakes looked good and the pricing was reasonable. Recommended.

Stopped off for Dinner, kids were happy with freshly made pizza and cake & icecream. We had a salt Marsh classic burger with cheese, comes with a cute little bucket of homemade chips, absolutely stuffed couldn't eat another thing. Decor was beachy and relaxed, staff attentive but not overly so. Reasonably priced. Would recommend

Called at the Salt Marsh for quick cup of tea and scone whilst on route to Llandudno.Very rustic premises-excellent pot of tea and scone plus jam and clotted cream..Polite staff and good price.

We’d heard really good things about the Salt Marsh Kitchen but wanted something with more teenager-friendly food for a meal out with our kids, so when we noticed the Salt Marsh Cafe Bar opposite, it seemed ideal. There were no tables left inside but plenty space in the back garden (bookings taken only for parties of 6 or more) and it was a lovely sunny evening, so it was nice to be able to eat outside. The menu is based round burgers, pizzas and salads - a varied and interesting range on offer - and we all really enjoyed the pizzas we chose. Us adults also enjoyed the range of craft beers (from Purple Moose brewery and others). Pleasant surroundings; delicious food; friendly, welcoming and efficient staff. Hope it’s as big a success as the first restaurant: we would happily recommend it, and will return when we are next in the area.

We went for some food to this cafe as a last family meal of our holiday. The venue is lovely and the outdoor space was really nice. The choice of food was good and when we ordered the food was fresh, hot and delicious.

Love this place. Has quite a limited menu of just pizzas and burgers (but there’s a lot to choose from including veggie, fish and veggie). The food is very good. Cocktails ok and there is a happy hour but you have to buy the same two which can be a bit annoying. Music nights are good fun and there’s a fab garden. The same people have the Salt Marsh Kitchen opposite which is more of a restaurant. But if you want quick food in a relaxed modern atmosphere this is a great spot in Tywyn.

After having trouble finding somewhere to eat we were directed to the Salt Marsh and it couldn't have been a better find. Lovely service and the food was perfect. We had the best burgers either of us had ever had, they tasted amazing and the portions were generous, and the massive onion rings were delicious too. Would definitely come again.

We have called here for 'Happy Hour' a few times....either sit outside at the front and people watch or escape to the secret garden at the back.

We booked a table on Monday as the menu says gluten free pizza dough is available. This is not true. 24 hours notice is required for pizza dough. The cafe agreed that the menu should be changed. It still has not been changed. This is very disappointing. They also forgot the salad they had offered the gf diner. Drinks that had been ordered were also forgotten.

My family and I visited the salt marsh for some drinks and I had the orange and raspberry sunrise mock tail and mother and my auntie had a Cosmo Rasmo and my Nan had a peroni we had a blast

Had a great meal sat in the garden on a lovely sunny afternoon. The food was good and there is a variety of dishes available, would definitely reccommend to friends.

Great place with friendly staff and discovered other day on my third visit they have a fab outside area at the back (wonderful). Dog friendly so brilliant and the pizza is so well presented. Thin and crispy are my fave and my only criticism on my pizza (Jim’s favourite) I would prefer less cheese , but now I know I will ask before hand . Well done

We visited on a Saturday night at 7pm so expected a wait. How wrong could we be.

I really love this cafe. The staff are just so nice. The food is great and the Orange Gin, well is superb. If your in the area, as a couple or family pop in it’s really nice.

We only popped on for teas, the service was slow and the presentation was poor. No tea pot just a tea bag in a cup and teaspoon between 3. Need to make more effort it was a quiet time so don't know how they would cope at busy times. Servic was slow

We ate here as a group of 7 on a Sunday evening when everywhere else was full. The staff were very friendly and put themselves out to fit us in. The menu was Pizza or Burger - we all had burgers and they were all excellent, with delicious chips. Simple food at a reasonable price, but very well done.

The little town of Tywyn has a wonderful clean beach, a big Coop, the Talylynn Railway an intriguing cinema AND the Salt Marsh Cafe Bar which is housed in the old market hall. We popped in for a bowl of soup which was delicious and served with toasted ciabatta bread. They have an intriguing range of drinks including a draught American beer brewed in Sweden. The tables are all mixed up, the toilets are impeccably clean and the service is jolly and friendly. We even popped in a day later to enjoy a hot drink..

No non dairy coffee option or gluten free cake . This should be available in any cafe nowadays as so many customers have allergies. Staff not particularly welcoming.

Despite being late to book the able, we were treated like god's! The lady taking thecorder and serving the food was very friendly without being in the way all the time. The food was excellent (there were seven of us, we ended up having five different meals so we tried a fair selection.

Always made to feel welcome and atmosphere is always great.me and friends often take the kids who can sometimes be loud its never a problem. The food is great nothing is too much trouble. Massive range of drinks. Great cocktails 😍
