Took my wife here for her birthday, midweek lunchtime, so quiet but had a lovely meal with friendly service, Everything was obviously cooked fresh. Plenty of choice on the menu, with many Gluten free options so my wife had plenty to choose from. Overall a really good experience. Will definitely go again.

Always a pleasure to eat there. Great meal as always. Poor chef must be exhausted as we ordered so many dishes , all wonderful and the service and decorations great and everything was very clean.

The restaurant is authentically decorated, which along with the music playing in the background, creates a great atmosphere. Amazing food, beautifully presented, plentiful and full of flavour. Staff are friendly and attentive. If you like somewhere different, you’ll love this place. We went back a second time and we were only in Herne Bay for 5 days!

Me and friends went for dinner absolutely loved this place. Cocktails delicious, banana puddings and so many lovely flavours. We are definitely planning our next visit. 10/10 services was also brilliant.

My beef burrito was 10/10. The vibe and the service was excellent. Wetherspoons, next door but one, was crowded with people for Tuesday Steak club but Saloon has a lunch menu that's a similar price and significantly better. Wetherspoons customers don't know what they're missing.

Good food, Tex Mex, service was good,didn't have to wait long for our order. Restaurant was nicely themed,outside tables available,parking close by.

Excellent food and friendly staff

The restaurant's 4.4 score is a bit perplexing upon closer inspection. While the interior boasts charming decor and the garden seating adds a pleasant touch, the culinary experience falls short. Although the food was serviceable and fulfilled its role of satiating hunger, it lacked the satisfaction that makes dining enjoyable. The Seafood paella was more like a risotto, probably made in a saucepan, the peppers were probably frozen because they were soft and soggy. The seafood was also most likely a cheap frozen seafood mix consisting of mussle meat, (squid rings which were soft and mushy could actually mush it with a fork) and pieces of what appeared to be cut octopus and a few tiny shrimps along with soggy seafood crab sticks cut into pieces. It had 1 grilled prawn on top which was also kind of mushy. The taste over all was very bland. Also had burgers, they were pretty standard, nothing to get excited about. The bun was toasted on ths grill which was a nice touch. The chips tasted like budget chips.

We went in on a whim,having been there about a year ago. The first time being a good effort. Once again the food was very tasty and served in good time. The vegetable questillias were great! I then had a chicken burrito that hit the mark. We both felt well fed at a fair price. There wasn't much wrong with the service things were brought in good order when requested e.t.c. The atmosphere has taken a bit of a hit as we were the only ones there! Will go back.

Worst steak I've EVER had. Tbone. Under weight & over cooked. I sent the 1st one back but the 2nd was not much better. I left it on my plate. I paid but shouldn't have. All the staff were lovely though. Just a shame the Chef can't cook.a Tbone. £30.00 LOSS. So Very disappointed. On the flip side though the best hallumi fries I've ever had.

Delicious food. Great service. Catered well for children. Lovely location and spacious restaurant. There were 13 of us and every meal was great. Only improvement would be to add some veg to the kids meals. Very good value 2 course lunch menu and good sized portions. Definitely recommend.

Very interesting place, decor was very fun. Food was delicious and cocktails were strong. Didn't get checked on by the waitress often, but it seemed to only be her on the floor serving all the tables, and she was doing a good job, so not a complaint just an observation. Would return again if in the area.

Found by accident as we were looking to go to a restaurant nearby but thought to expensive for lunch so came to the saloon. Excellent Mexican food reasonably priced and very good service, will definitely return and recommend

Fabulous meal with family, so lovely to catch up we were too busy chatting to choose from the menu as the choice is plentiful! After the fourth time of asking, we had finally decided and wasn't disappointed in any of the dishes. If for dessert you're ordering churros, do not share and have one to yourself! Delicious 🤗

We stopped here on our way to Broadstairs. A lovely decorated restaurant on the front that sadly wasnt busy. Beautifully cooked food, a friendly waiter and good pricing. If you love somewhere different give this place a try.

Visited last night whilst staying in the area, from the street the restaurant looks small and quiet. But once we walked through the door we were warmly welcomed and the restaurant was bright and clean, the theme was mexican and the restaurant was tastefully decorated. The waiter was exceptional and had a great balance between being friendly and respectful. The food was absolutely amazing, we had the burrito and chicken and prawn fajitas which were some of the best mexican food I have ever had. The cocktails were amazing and the Mojitos were the best I have had. Value for money was brilliant and we had a great evening.

Rip off prices 15.95 for a small container of chille which was microwaved owner claim it wasn’t but it took 4 mins to come out restaurant down road 10.95 if you want to get good value chille go to supermarket

Expensive and small portion for chilli and not fresh £15.95 for micro wave small chilli con carne the owner states cooked fresh when it comes out to you in 3 mins I don’t think so only thing fresh is the cut chilli on top was told if you book with just eat it’s cheaper also menus on web states £10.95 when you ring to complain you get the previous owners number for the price I paid could of had a four course Indian for two so be wary of the food prices

We went for my sons birthday. I had booked a table but didn't really need too. On a Friday night there wasn't many people in. Not sure why as the food was delicious and portion size was good. We will be back

Used to be a nice.. gone downhill very quickly.. charged me 22 pound for a mixed grill that I only had half of I couldn't finish it... then told me he would take the drinks off the bill but only took acouple off. I would of rather he take the money off for the meal

Had a lovely evening yesterday at Saloon bar. Food was absolutely amazing with plenty to choose from, It was perfectly cooked, well presented and had so much flavour. Staff were particularly lovely, Emma at front of house was very welcoming and Matt and Honey were serving, they couldn't have been more helpful, very friendly and chatty, happy to answer any questions and always ready for anything we wanted. The cocktails were beautiful with so many to choose from and very reasonably priced. The restaurant itself is clean and well themed and the little outside area is quaint and pretty. Literally nothing to complain about, perfect👌will happily return if we are ever back in Herne Bay.

The sides were shocking. Under cooked, cold, limp beige fries, bland/artificial tasting, cold peppercorn sauce, under seasoned tomato, small soggy mushroom, tasteless, underseasoned corn on the cob. The steak was great. Good size T-Bone and a good price. Honestly, if they'd have done a decent job with the fries (triple cooked, with some seasoning perhaps [and found a better peppercorn sauce supplier]) it would have been great, but it was like the rest of the components on the dish (apart from the steak) were an afterthought.

Worked there for 2 weeks, manager took all my tips and didn’t pay me despite the pay being weekly. The kitchen staff are very rude as well and swear at the workers.

I had the texan wings and ribs, partner had chilli con carne, and son had burger. Lovely food, was hesitant to visit due to some bad reviews, but glad we did cos it was lovely. The guy who serves here, with the pony tail was especially lovely. Pina coladas were delicious!

The BBQ ribs are the best I've ever had, so tender and loads of meat.🍖🍖🍖😋

One of the worst food I ever eat. Meet in burger looks like itwas frozen not fresh, my wife almost puke after burrito, I order nuggets for kids and i think thay buy nuggets in the cheepest shop. Waste money and I'm still hungry. Don't eat there

In a few words,food OK, service rubbish. Went there on a weekday early evening, had sharing starter, two mains, and a few drinks. There weren’t any other customers to start with, but 3 or 4 drifted in, so not really busy. There were 2 waiting staff and a front of house, but the 2 staff were just not on the ball. Chatting to each other, looking at their phones, only shifting when the service bell rang, like Pavlov’s dogs, but apart from that, we had to call them over for everything. Didn’t get asked if we wanted more drinks when the glasses were clearly empty, didn’t get asked if food was OK, nothing at all. Just yammering to each other like the customers weren’t there. Not professional. Pity, because the food was really good, apart from the sweetcorn, which was nuked. I’d like to give a positive review to a local business, but they need to sort out their waiting staff. I’m more than happy to tip well for good service, but you guys get nada until you get your heads in the game.

Best ribs ever! The meat just fell off the bone. My partner enjoyed his lovely chicken breast burger. We had takeaway and everything arrived lovely and hot. Would definitely order from here again!

Came here for my mums birthday with a party of 10. Food and drinks were lovely and the staff were great. Well priced too. Would recomend anyone wanting a bit of mexican food.

Possibly the worst place I've ever been to eat! The place is obviously having a Identity crisis, it doesn't know if it's a terrible Mexican or an even worse American grill. I had a burger with chilli which was as bland and tasteless as it gets. Service was awful, the server could not pronounce burrito or is it bu-rito in their case.The fact it's in Hernebay doesn't help it's cause....to sum up....just an awful place.

Was busy, but managed to accommodate my wife and I as a walk in. Food was fantastic, staff very attentive and friendly. Mocktails were delicious. Would definitely 100% recommend this to anyone. Lots of English traditional dishes available for those that don't get the concept its a Mexican restaurant 😉

If you want to sit under some beautiful chandeliers and feel as though you're at a ball, visit here. If you want to hear the best doorbell, you rang- the monsters?? Had a takeaway on the Monday and it was really good so we went cack on the Saturday to me in and it was brilliant. Food was really good and the cocktails were spot on and looking forward to the next time we go down there 😁

AWFUL!! Would give 0 stars if I could!! I was in the area on a business trip and this restaurant was highly rated. The look of the restaurant was excellent but don’t be deceived. The two young blonde female waiters were very rude from the start and due to their obvious lack of motivation we felt unwelcome the second we got into the premises. They were very prompt to take our order not giving us anytime to look at the menu properly. The one waiter was continuously staring at one of my colleagues making them feel very uncomfortable. When ordering our food the waiters manners was appalling. We ordered 3 steaks and a mixed grill. The steaks came out and they were not cooked at all. It was covered in fat and inedible. The whole plate was bland and cold. The mixed grill had lamb and steak. There was no meat on the lamb and the steak looked like a beef sandwich slice. They didn’t come over to the table once while we were eating to check if the food was ok. When asking for the bill the waiter came over and literally chucked the bill on the table and walked off. She came back when we were ready to pay and still had horrendous manners. No please or thank you. We will not be returning to this restaurant, and I recommend no one to go either. How they have 4+ stars is baffling. Worst meal I have ever had. Stay clear!!!

Absolutely AMAZING FOOD everytime! Been here a number of times and have blown away, ive had fajitas, tacos and recently the salmon, fresh and tasty, drinks are gorgeous and has a great atmosphere, definately recommend

Excellent variety on menu. Rib eye steak super tender and perfectly cooked, chicken and chorizo paella delicious, great churros. Something a bit different want to go back every week and try everything on the menu..oh and the cocktails are great! Thought the wine was a bit pricey though ☹

Food was excellent, music was a little too loud, but they did turn it down when asked to, the floor on the upper level has a trip hazard which is marked before you get to it, I saw 2 women, 1 fell completely over and the other one triped so keep your eyes open upstairs
