Salley's Restaurant in Dungannon

A golden gem as you commute from Newry to Donegal in the centre of Aughnacloy. Our party of 4 dined at this superb restaurant on Saturday. The meet n greet was wonderful. Friendly staff who were more than happy to accommodate us. We were seated promptly in a busy environment and drinks provided as we browsed a menu fit for any palet.👌 Food arrived on piping hot plates. A range of fresh, well presented cuisine! Excellent quality, attentive staff and you can pay Euro for Pound if that suits you. Salleys is so perfect that we decided not to dine in Donegal, rather give Salleys a second visit. We had a combo starter plated for 2 but 4 of us tucked in and it was delicious with more than enough food. 😋 We had a variation of mains different from our Saturday visit. The Beef n Bird and Chicken Stack is simply delicious and highly recommended! We finished our meal sharing two melody of deserts. They were so tasty! Staff were superb again? Very attentive and accommodating! The place was buzzing and the ambience was great! This restaurant is so well run! Plates are plentiful and the bill is easy on the pocket. We all would have no hesitation in recommending Salleys to anyone passing through Aughnacloy because we will certainly be making a return visit! 😉 This place really is a GOLDEN GEM!

We went to salleys with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday. What can I say the staff, food and services was amazing. Very generous portions of food and very reasonably priced. They also have delicious cocktails which we loved 🍹🍸. Staff were so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back here.

Stopped off en route to Strabane. Had an absolutely delicious 😋 southern fried chicken wrap. It was served with a lovely side salad & coleslaw, plus a small portion of tasty chunky fried. Really filling & great value at £8.50 (approx €10.50).I had a goats cheese starter yesterday in Carlingford which was served with nothing & cost €12.50

we stopped off here on our way to Fermanagh for a new year's get away. we were shown to our table promptly but after our drinks and food order was taken the promptness and attention finished. we waited 40mims for my husbands soggy hawaiian burger practically slide across the table to him as the young red haired male server didn't appear to be in the best of spirits, possibly because the other staff seemed to have deserted him, they all just disappeared with the result that a further 15 mins later I had to a ask a passing waitress was there any sign of my food and my husbands side order. I could go on but I won't because I know I just won't be recommending this eatery to anyone I know.

We called in to Salley's Restaurant when we were staying down the road at Ballygawley. It was a great earlybird meal. I had the chicken with onion, pepper sauce and fries. my wife had the rump steak and mash. Quick service and very nice. Would go again if in the area.

Generous servings, scrumptious food,recommended to us by several local people, even as far away as Sixmile Cross.

When they're clock watching from the moment you get in you know you're in for a bumpy ride!! Staff rude & forgetful, food wasn't bad but nothing to get excited about either.Staff couldn't wait to get home & by 10 o'clock the place was empty , they had cleared up around us & once we'd paid " with cash "no card facility " we were out the door & the lights off behind us. Poor experience all-round. Won't be back.

Very bland food, lack of atmosphere and mixed service... young staff pleasant but more mature waitresses very rude (particularly lady with curled blonde hair who grabbed an empty drinks glass and scuttled away quickly without asking would I like another drink). Service makes any restuarant and all it takes is one or two poor members of staff.. won't be back!

Did not have a booking but we were made welcome and obtained one of the last remaining tables downstairs on a Wednesday evening. We all ate from the Early Bird Menu. 2x breaded mushrooms 1 x soup of the day 1x prawns All were delicious Main courses- 3x steak, onion rings, chips and pepper sauce 1 x chicken maryland ( no bacon on the chicken, it used to be on it) 3 x apple crumble tart and custard 1x meringue with mango sauce All were delicious. The service was brilliant and not under pressure to put us out.

I recently visited Sally,s with family.We waited some time on our meal.The tea and 2 starters came quite quickly but we must have waited for nearly an hour for the rest of our meal.Others who had come into the restaurant after us were being served before us.It was obvious that the second half of our meal had been forgotten about.My meal was terrible when it eventually arrived.There was far too much on the plate,the Southern fried chicken was hard on the outside and very dry.A complete disappointment.I felt like walking out only I didnt want to embarrass others in our party.A ripoff.I will not be stopping at Sally,s again.

We visited here on a Sunday evening and it was clearly busy but we got a table. I had my grandson and my son along with me. The kids menu was excellent- loads of choice and proper good food not the usual fare! The only thing I might add to it would be a little juice carton maybe included in the price. My grandson loved the fish gougons. I had chicken supreme and my son had fish - it included side dishes and the portions were generous! The staff were excellent and so friendly. We loved it so much we returned again since for their early bird menu. Fantastic value! Mains were Thai Red curry with wild rice and Ham shank with champ and again generous sides. Desserts were included and didn’t disappoint! Chocolate and orange pudding with Whipped cream and apple crumble and custard. Absolutely divine! Real comfort food. Staff so good again. Attentive friendly and super efficient. Salley’s, we will see you again soon I hope!

I have so say I’ve had a great experience all round in salleys. I was sitting in the lounge beside the bar and it was cosy with a nice atmosphere. I was served by Naomi who was pleasant and nothing was too much bother for her. She had a smile on her face the whole evening whilst attending to us. I loved the food especially the southern fried chicken tower. Will be back again.

Excellent food and service. Large portions and good value for money. Have not had as good a meal or attentive service is a long while.

Saturday evening meal in salleys lovely food great service from staff excellent value for money in a tastefully decorated restaurant and too top it off euro for pound , the restaurant was extremely busy but that didn't hinder the fast efficient service.

We were lucky to have dinner at Salley's on Sat 24th July. The food was amazing. Loved the combo starter to share - everything had been made and it showed. Sirloin steak was cooked to perfection. However the stand out dish was the Lemon Sponge...

I have been going to Salley's for quite awhile and the service, food and staff are wonderful. I always enjoy each visit and i would especially recommend the Sirloin Steak. A special wee mention to Dean who always makes our trip very enjoyable.

Was disappointed at the quality of the food and value for money. One beef dinner and one gammon dinner, one sweet and one jug of orange was £39.

We called in for Sunday lunch last Sunday. Got a lovely seat by the window upstairs. The service was great. The food was simply superb and of a high quality. Veg wasn't your standard carrots and peas. We got cauliflower and cabbage. Our two children...

I was given a voucher for this restaurant otherwise I wouldn’t have returned after a poor experience last year. It hasn’t improved - in fact it’s worse. The staff member who took my booking on phone was rude - the older staff members are rude....

Been coming here for last 15 years never had a bad experience, have travelled 50-60 miles just to eat here and always try to time our trips to the lakes to coincidence with lunch here, great food and great staff and very clean.

This is a great restaurant to eat in, has very good staff and a great family friendly atmosphere. There is a separate bar attached to those just out for a drink can be served quickly. The food is amazing and very tasty. They cater also for large groups.

Myself, my husband and my two girls went to the restaurant for bar food. The service was very efficient, the girls couldn't do enough for us. The food was fab and the kids menu has plenty of variety on it. Very good value for money and the place has a lovely atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone and we will be back

Usually very good and without any fault. Just noticed lately the choice of specials is very limited and disappointing. Been for lunch today and having turkey and ham on the menu so soon after Christmas is not a good idea, fish cakes and a burger on the specials also. Opted for the main menu instead but not as good as before in my honest opinion.

Salley's in Aughnacloy is the best place ever for a feed!! the staff are so friendly, the food is first class and the service is impeccable. the food was quick to come. the menu has a wide range and variety of foods available to customers with different tastes. I have been to Salley's time and time again and it is just the most perfect place to go!!

My partner and I were on are way back from a business course in Omagh and stopped for a quick lunch. The menu was extensive. I had the salmon fish cakes which were delicious and my partner had a pasta dish which was much enjoyed. The staff were very friendly and the settling was very welcoming. We will be back the next time we are in the area.

We wanted somewhere that had a gluten free menu, or gluten free options and we’re very happy to find that there was a dedicated GF menu. We ordered salmon and a Mexican chicken wrap. Service was very friendly and prompt and the food arrived quickly. It was warm, well cooked and very tasty. Very generous portions too. We were very pleased!

Food and service is excellent. Parked outside on way from Donegal to Dublin airport for lunch. Separate gluten free menu over 3 pages of choices. I’ve eaten here before for dinner and never been disappointed.

I would highly recommend Salleys. The menu is wide ranging, reasonable and tasty. The staff are also helpful and accommodating.

Went to Salley’s for a family meal even though there where 5 of us (not booked).We got seated straight away. The food was amazing. Our waitress Naomi was lovely and delivered great quality service she is a credit to use.

Die Karte ist sehr ansprechend, wir haben jedoch nur Deserts konsumiert, welche wirklich sehr gut waren. Die Portionen sind riesengroß.Zudem gibt es hier, wenn man Bar bezahlt, die Aktion £ = €, was den Besuch nochmals günstiger machte.Sehr zu empfehlen!

We stopped for a quick bite on our way home and definitely weren’t disappointed... the staff could not do enough for us. Even when 5 of the 6 dishes had arrived, the 6th arriving maybe 5 minutes later (when dining with 4 children you wouldn’t notice 5 minutes) the staff wanted to bring fresh side orders. So friendly and interactive with the kids! So glad we stopped!

We have been there twice and had a good lunch both times. The service was reasonable, didn't take an unduly long time and each of us a (different) enjoyable meal. The second time my friend and I agreed to pay half each without looking at the precise cost of what each of us ate. The waitress at the till said we couldn't pay half each which seemed childish and petty at the end of what had been an enjoyable meal. I asked if this was a general policy so that I would know to go elsewhere the next time. She then said we shouldn't pay half each but that she would allow us to do so. We each paid and left.

I have to Agree with unknown 11123 , Worst restaurant I have been to as well, older Staff need to take a step down from Customer Services , at the start we got very poor service ,my mother dosen't eat much and asked for a half Portion of dinner , and was told they don't do that and didnt even offer a alternative, she had to order from a kids menu which wasn't great , and then later on to be interrupted by this same member of staff to show us a menu which was already explained by another member of staff and was sorted at the time, i dont think this was called for and thought it was very rude, all other staff were very friendly and nice, the food was lovely hands up to the chef.

Great place to eat. Can’t go passed it. Always busy so that says it all. Early bird has great choices and reasonably priced. Sunday lunch is first class food tasty as usually good portions and always piping hot. Sweet table large variety and help yourself. Main menu has large selection to suit all tastes Staff friendly and quick service. Comfortable and relaxing atmosphere.

Worst restaurant I have ever been to. Old staff barged into me at till and young people were amazing to me. I would insist all young people got a pay rise and old people a pay drop

Mum and me went for lunch and it was lovely. The only thing is they don’t have the lunch time menu / snack menu on their website which would have been useful.

Three of us went there at about 11.55 and had a wide choice of seats. A waitress came quickly to take our orders and brought the food without undue delay. As we were waiting to be served a lot more people came in and by the time we were eating the place was packed. The food was of high quality so it was easy to see why so many people came; a waiter explained that they were always particularly busy on a Friday). The three of us had three different main courses and two different desserts, all of which were enjoyable and well cooked. My friend was paying so I can't comment on value for money below.

Stopped on way to a concert in Dublin for a bite to eat. Pleased to see the restaurant full at 1.30pm on a Saturday, always a good sign. Ordered baked potato with chicken and coleslaw and trout with champ. Both were delicious and well presented. As always, Salleys did not disappoint. Can't wait to return for the Early Bird

I admit to being a picky eater so when I went to Sally's I played safe. I ordered the Turkey dinner. I have to say this meal is equal to the same meal I got in sieve donards percy French restaurant. I could only manage half of each meal. Sallys meal firstly would have needed a quick microwave. The mashed spuds had something black in one which may have been a fly as there were a few flying about. Their roasties weren't cooked. If cardboard was a food then that's what the Turkey was,all texture and no taste. Carrots were nice though. There wasn't enough gravy and was offered more.This is a meal cooked by nearly every house at least once a year. How can any chef make a hash of it! Sallys is talked about everywhere as the place to go for food. Maybe you should have a think about your menu and how your food tastes. This was the end to a nice family day out for us which was ruined by a disappointing meal. My girlfriend didn't finish hers either so it's not just me.My sons fish was overcooked as was my daughters chicken nuggets. My other daughters burger was far too big for her plus she only took 2 bites anyway. I could go on but I think you can get the point I'm trying to make.

Me and my two aunties and mum went in for dinner when driving past to grab a bite to eat! It was amazing food came so quick and it was roasting hot every meal we got was delicious definitely will be coming back again!!!

This is my 5th visit and it is always the same, never an issue and the food is served as you would like it everytime

Just the place while on a run to or from Dublin as you do if you live in Donegal. For a tourist either it breaks up the journey and you get lovely meal. What I like about this restaurant is that they can cater for old fashioned people like myself who don't want the modern food but a meat and veg dinner. The sweets are excellent too, all served by friendly helpful staff.
