Great food and service, we had the set menu for 4. Allowed us to swap some dishes as well. Really tasty and spot on service.

Floor music is a bit loud and annoying and the food is very average... used to be amazing food 4 the price.

First time eating here and I was thoroughly impressed, the food was delicious, we had the red Thai curry and the pad Thai beef it was amazing! Will definitely be coming back

This restaurant used to be absolutely amazing place for Thai cuisine. I booked recently and was surprised to learn a Brummie accent upon booking a table. I should’ve gone with my instincts but continued to book table for two. We got there and English music was being played rather than the authentic Thai instrumental music. The food absolutely disgraceful, tasted nothing like it used to, obviously ownership changed. The only Thai thing about this restaurant is the original decor left from previous owners. We left most food uneaten. The chef hasn’t a clue what Thai food should taste like. Sadly a real disappointment. The lady was very polite and friendly that served us but food was absolutely disgusting.

Not the best usually very good but tonight food was not good, long wait for starters and to be honest £7.95 is steep for the mixed starter, 2 hours later the mains arrived, 1 was cold and sent back to be advised reheated in microwave, all mains then come bar one but no rice and advised it will be with you shortly. The rice should come out with the mains not 10 minutes after, and to reheat a curry not acceptable. To be honest always rated this restaurant and took a lot of friends and family but not again. Advised the reason for the delay is because they were very busy, well dont be greedy and book too many people in that you cannot service your customers Also the young lad serving was absolutely useless proper could not care attitude. Over priced and will not return

Decided to try this restaurant based on reviews and sooo glad I did. Food was amazing diffinately a 10/10 from food to service. Would diffinately recommend and diffinately come again.

Yummy stuff, very fresh and crunchy veg. All of the mixed starter though was stuff that is just deep fried. Nice but I'd hassle liked less fat. £29 meal for two. Great combination! Might go for the £25 if I return. Must have green curry! Nothing made me worry about my back door the next day. 😃

Ordered takeaway via Uber eats Thai green curry with Prawns. It was full of oil n massive chunks of vegetables that looks like they have been sliced by a machete. There were 5prawns in the curry which tased extremely rubbery.

Food was okay but nothing spectacular. The real issue is the penny-pinching. £16.90 (take away) for salt and pepper king prawns. We got FOUR, and the coating was on top of the shells, so by the time you’ve taken the shells off the prawns there is nothing left. Total waste of money. Never again.

The steamed mince pork and prawn dumplings are tasty. The customer service is brilliant .

Always delicious food, and friendly, attentive service. Love this place! Walked in on a Sat night, no booking and they made space for us, even though they were busy. Another visit with 17 people (pre-booked) and they totally took it in their stride with 2 waiting staff on!

All I can say is perfect, 10/10. The customer service was very good, the food was absolutely perfect. Really do suggest going there to eat. Went on a Wednesday evening and only one other family there and was nice. Parked just in a side street that was free.

Tasty food, friendly staff, cozy place

So disappointing- eaten here a year or two ago which was lovely. Unfortunately. Thai beef salad tonight was truly awful, sloppy mess. We were so hungry after waiting an hour for a starter that we ate it anyway and then were told that as we’d eaten it, nothing could be done £15 for an absolutely awful starter. Shocking!! Main meal was such poor quality we passed it back straight away and left, went home to order a Chinese takeaway when back.

Been going here for about ten years, different owners . Last three or four times that we’ve arrived we have been directed to a table for two behind a pillar , probably the worst table in the house, despite it being early evening and the restaurant being empty. Again, tonight, we requested to be moved and we were directed to a substandard table and so had to complain again to be moved again . I was told it would be busy at weekends, I fully appreciate this, but not at 6-7pm midweek when the place is nearly empty . Surely , some sense?Is it poor staff or poor management? Disappointed as really like the place and the food . Neil ( sorry for the grammar and spelling) PS during meal staff member sprayed adjoining table with what I presume was a sanitizer and covered us and food, I paid the bill and left, without a tip and paid £80+ Very disappointed

This was my first time at Salathip and I was competing blown away by the beautiful food and the amazing service from Tik. Her customer service was excellent. We can’t wait to come back, thank you so much! Ps the Thai Green Curry is the best!!!

Excellent foods, authentic, tasty and well presented with a good choice of wines & beers. Highly recommend the Terre Avare Primativo if you like a bold, smooth red wine. Prawn in batter and pork rib starters were particularly nice, as was the chicken panang main. Service from Jess was friendly and efficient. Group of us visited on a Tuesday evening when it was particularly quiet hence four stars for atmosphere. A little pricey, but would recommend if you like, or are looking to experience authentic Thai cuisine for the first time.

It was our first time visiting and we will most definitely be back! The waitress who served us was brilliant, very attentive and great with our 5 year old. The food was fresh and tasted great. We've recommended to family and friends and will be returning soon :)

Lovely little Thai restaurant on Kingswinford High St. Been here on a couple of occasions now ..never disappoints.

It was our first visit and it certainly will not be our last. The female statues are nice and if you are vertically challenged (or not), certainly a talking point. The menu is clear and the food was really good. The food was well prepared and arrived really quickly. We even ordered extra food during the meal and this was dealt with quickly and effectively with the least amount of bother. The portions are good sizes and for us there was a good amount of sharing. Which again says all the dishes were excellent and also why we ordered more as we liked it so much.

Very quiet so no atmosphere, food good but prefer, Bulls Head in Sedgley much nicer

We stumbled upon this local gem of a restaurant. Warmly greeted upon arrival. Nicely decorated with Eastern touches. The food was fabulous and the staff were attentive and good humoured. Left feeling very happy and satisfied. Will be bringing friends here. Give it a try!

I visited the place for the first time and the reviews did justice to what was served. After a warm welcome, we were given choices of drinks and the amazing waiter suggested a malbec that we ended up loving. The options for food were also quite a lot and we went with beef stir fry, chicken red curry, fried rice and Jasmin rice. All of it was exceptionally good except for some pieces of beef which were unfortunately a bit rubbery (hence the 4 star). I'd definitely visit this place again and I'm waiting to try the other good stuff. The atmosphere and the ambience needs a special mention. I absolutely loved them and it was very welcoming.

I have been coming here for many years, even before it became salathip. Usually eat in. Had a take away last night and ordered my usual Thai green curry, it was just not up to scratch and was so spicy I couldn't eat it, no idea how it had been cooked or what had been added but it wasn't the usual tasty curry I have. When I went to collect I asked for a pot of chilli oil and was told I needed to pay £1.50 even though I'm never charged for that when I eat in. The lady serving me almost seemed annoyed that I didn't have cash to pay this £1.50 and needed to put it on card. Not great customer service at all or good quality of food.

Excellent Thai food, in nice surroundings and great service.

We came for my dads' 80th birthday a couple if weeks ago. The food and service was amazing. The staff went up and beyond to make it special for my dad, and my 2 girls loved trying the food. We will definitely be back again. Thank you for making it memorable for my dad

OK a little expensive for the amount you get still tasted great

Mixed starter disappointing - looked and tasted like Iceland frozen party food. Curries lacked spice and flavour, overly creamy and sweet. Pad Thai greasy and tasteless. Rice mushy but tasted nice. Pretty expensive meal but standard is below Chinese takeaway level. Not sure if caught on bad day because other reviews consistently great. Service was good.

Very slow service explained away by 'the kitchen fall behind when it's busy' and a foreign object found in the food. However two members of staff did apologise and take ownership of our complaint.

We had one of the set meals for 5, starters were nice and all the main courses were beautiful. Delicious flavours and hot, portions were plenty even for our big eaters! Good selection at the bar, friendly staff and great service!

Amazing food and great service!

Having been to this restaurant many times before we were really disappointed by the poor quality of food on our most recent visit. The sharer starter platter was dry as though the items had been cooked for ages and kept warm. The soft shell crab main coarse was really greasy and sauce tasteless. I left most if it and when asked by the staff why I explained and they just oh dear we will tell the chef. My wife had a chilli dish which despite its description was rediculously hot meaning you couldn't taste anything beyond the first mouth full. Not how we remembered it on other visits. Wouldn't recommend.

BETTER LATE THAN NEVER! 5* We spent a lovely evening in this Thai restaurant back in August 2020 when the UK was open for a little while! Well what can we say we had one of the most lovely experiences of eating Authentic Thai food going. Lovely front of house staff, bar staff and the main co owner chef was kind enough to come out and chat to us after the meal. The food was spot on. Fresh, flavoursome and beautifully presented. They say when eating....... the first bite is with the eyes and we were not let down. Decor and customer service was lovely for a independent Thai restaurant. We are heading back shortly this evening and we can't wait to eat some more lovely Thai food. Definitely recommend. Dinesh and Gemma.x 5* good potions and good value for money. So we visited the restaurant with friends and ordered the crab fish cake starters which were £5.95. They were like cardboard and tasteless. The main courses were overly salted but edible. We ordered tiger beers which were £3.50 each which were supposed to be half pint. The glass was more froth so we didn’t get a complete measure. As we were leaving they said they’d added our bill up incorrectly and demanded another £10! We paid them but will definitely not visit again!

Been coming here for years and i just wanted to say how much I enjoy the food here. The staff are wonderful and polite. Nice to see new waitresses/ waiters working there. 10/10 would recommend :)

Have been coming here for years. First time in approx 6 months due to covid. Same lovely restaurant, different waitresses though very helpful and polite. The food however tasted different, I'm guessing there's a new chef or owners. It's still good but not as good as it used to be

Ate here with five others last Saturday and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. We were seated and served really quickly and got our drinks within a few minutes of ordering. Starters were really delicious and piping hot and our mains arrived soon after. My main was quite spicy and I would have preferred for this to be explained on the menu as it was a surprise! Everyone else's mains were nice but everyone said that the meat was quite tough and tasted cheap, mine included. Not sure why the restaurant would invest in such poor meat considering the prices of the food / how excellent the service was as this really let them down. I would return again but I feel quite hesitant about coming back in any hurry.

Taking an hour to serve my orders. The decorated in restaurant quite beautiful, the vibe is chill and relaxing.

Collected a takeaway order, staff on arrival were so friendly. Resturaunt looked beautiful and clean, got home and the good was delicious! We will be coming back soon to dine in for sure!
