It is what it is, some staff smile some don't All good though

Very friendly staff and always fresh and hot meals

The worst breakfast we have ever been served in a Saisburys cafe. The service was poor. We waited until the counter assistant had finished clearing tables and settling in a customer. When she finally decided to serve us, she was very rude. She took my order and I felt with some reluctance. After a little wait, our all day breakfast arrived, I was shocked, the food was so overcooked,the sausages were burnt black, the bacon was burnt to a crisp, the toast? was white; I think it had missed the toaster. We asked for a refund, which got minus the cost of the two hot drinks that we had cosumed. The assistant that gave the refund apologised and admitted that the breakfast should not have been served because it was not of a standard. The cafe was very short staffed, but that is not a reason for the service we received.

Nice and bright eating area. Some different seating available for a more relaxed visit. Our table was a little messy, so a quick wipe down after the earlier customers could have been done sooner, but then again, some customers thrive on making a mess!

Will say very few and far between a lovely cafe in a supermarket but this one in Pontllanfraith definitely is Wendy who served us was polite, chatty and cheerful and dealt with the order prompt Lovely breakfast roll and coffee for 2, toast n smoothies for grandchildren and clean table to sit at....always a bonus. Sat drinking my coffee watching the world go by and witnessed a young female member of staff standing right in front of the food counter messing with her hair! Hat off n hands dragging thro it at least 40 times...🤢 So glad I had eaten my food as if I had seen it before would have walked out! Didnt even wash her hands after preening herself at the counter...yuck. She obviously knew who she was as the look on my face was priceless. No health and hygiene present in her tiny brain I know....

Surprisingly good food all day breakfast was very good.

Had a turkey sausage gravy baguette was ok not much for the money tho

Veggie breakfast was good, so was the latte. Could only get a flat white decaf coffee though

What an absolute shambles. Ordered breakfast and scrambled egg on toast. Questioned the bill as was very low - one was missing. When the young girl finally served me (very busy talking about uni woth the boy behind the counter) she gave me £2.50 back and said it was correct. Low and behold no breakfast turned up. First and last time

Excellent customer service and good food too

Food was good, but nobody's in any hurry there, so if your in a rush, id suggest somewhere else

Raspberry and pomegranate lemonade was lovely

Had a cooked breakfast which was really nice and a coffee, service was really friendly and very helpful and polite. Would definitely recommend going there

Clean well social distanced but very slow service

New cafe manager is fantastic is very often out front checking and chatting to customers. Not a massive menu but what they have is always very nice

oh wow the lady taking the orders for food could not go any slower if she tried. when the girl doing the cooking and bringing out the food is worked off her feet. come one sainsbury's sort this out..

Not enough staff on to serve one poor young girl trying to serve everyone, had to wait quite a while in queue then 20 mins for the food.

I've never been into the restaurant but the store is fab.

Lovely cafeteria for a stop off but need more of your lovely staff serving ! One person is just not enough !

Veg and fruit overpriced and looking jaded. Used to shop 100% in Sainsbury but this may have been our last visit. Totally underwhelmed!

For a supermarket restaurant it's very good , coffee cakes and snacks all great and good selection of hot meals

Worst meal I have ever had , waited 45minutes for cooked breakfast, no beans as run out! In a supermarket. Good was cold, sausages burnt, . 2 other people complained about food while I was there.

I live very close to this store of Sainsbury's so I use thier restaurant a lot, can't fault the service or the meals, but I was so dissapointed with a takeaway meal of fish n chips ,the meal looked like it was thrown in the box, and the fish was so dry it was shaped like a boomerang , not good.

Arrived at 14:40 in cafe. Paid for fish and chips after asked if still cooking. Server went into kitchen and came back said not available and gave me a refund. No reason given. Staff service at till extremely slow.

Pleasant and helpful staff. Food is good.

Clean. Reasonably priced. Only problem was having to wait for a toasted tea cake. Had almost drank my latte by the time it was served.
