Excellent fish and chips cooked to order.

Traditional fish 'n' chips at it's best.

Haven't had a fish & chips in years. Stumbled upon this place on a walk and fancied one. Good portions, good price, very filling. The fish was freshly cooked. Chips were thick.

The food here is cooked well and tasts delicious. Fish is freshly cooked. Staff and service are first class.

I treated my grandson and myself to jumbo sausage chips and curry sauce. I was told that the chips are best around and they was right. Absolutely best I've tasted in a long while. Will definatley go again.

17th April 2021. Not been to Colins chip shop in years but I was told the chips are far better than they used to be and to be honest wow they were amazing. I also ordered a sausage which was well cooked and really nice. I'm so glad I called in. Keep up the good work.. No more tiny bitty chips like they used to be.

Dont know what's going on with this chip shop, used to guarantee a good bag of chips, after being so disappointed not once, but 3 times altogether, will never eat from there again. Change your spuds and your frown colin.

Stopped here for a bite to eat after work, Chips were some of the worst I've ever had,,I'm no expert but if you run a chip shop then you make sure good fresh chips is your priority,,how hard. An that be,,,avoid!

Shop smelled like cigarette smoke. Portion sizes are VERY SMALL. A large chips would feed a small child, just about. Very over cooked chips. And cold considering they were 'freshly cooked. I will never ever go there again.

Definitely won't be returning!!! Food had been previously cooked and warmed up... You can tell if it was fresh food... Absolutely disgusting and was shocked by the portion of a large bag of chips and how burnt they was. The sausage and rissol was obviously from weeks ago :( :(

Went there and had a large bad of chips, £2, the portion size was very small, I mean child's meal size, taste nice but still should be more chips in it

I live locally and have been here many times for fish and chips. Sorry to say but the chips are consistently burnt and crispy, with only a few redeeming qualities every now and then.

Large chips consisted of about 20 chips, cold and looked like reheated from yesterday. Gravy large chips and a sausage for £5, won't return again

Bought chips from here lunchtime. Inedible threw them away.

We went there at 6 in evening for fish and chips and it was the worst i ever had fish was stale and chips were un edible dry and stale like previous reviewer said left overs from the afternoon we think so dont go there early evening, we wont go back thats for definate.

Absolutely awful. So so disappointed. I went to get fish and chips soon after they opened at 5.30pm. I was expecting freshly cooked fish. That's why I went early. However it was awful. It's quite obvious what they had done. Fish left over from lunchtime opening had been re - fried thus overcooking the fish completely. It was dry and hard inside. The batter was soaked in oil too. Why do they do that? Why ruin their reputation.? Such a shame. I'll never buy from there again. I'm also wondering if they are allowed to re cook left over fish? It's about a 15 minute drive for me so I decided not to drive back. I'll just put it down to "experience". Pity
