Saigon Foods in Lewisham

Great for a healthy food. Just one criticism is they don't use gloves and they touch the till and then touch the food, specifically the prawns. At no point did I see them wash their hands before, after or between. This is a big no no hence only 3 stars.

At last, I found again that lovely pho taste I used to get in waterloo. I highly recommend them. I just wished they served their prawn spring rolls with peanute sauce or rice vinegar sauce instead of that red unusual sauce.

Came across this place with my mum for a birthday lunch after being unable to find anywhere to get something vegan to eat. Lots of vegan options and really warming and delicious food. The waiter we had was also lovely! Thankyou!

This is the first time I have been to Saigon Foods in Catford. When I entered there was no one at the counter and it took a few minutes before a gentleman came out. He took my order and then a lady microwaved everything.........so not a good start in my opinion. When my order was ready and I needed to pay they asked for more than the menu price in the window (from £13.90 to £18.70). When I queried the price difference they said they made a large portion. The menu price in the window had no portion sizes. The did offer to make a smaller portion (medium) however I didn't want to wait around as I had some frozen food with me. The food was very tastie however very little chicken in the Chicken with Lemon Grass. Not a very good first impression and I won't be returning again.

Have eaten here a few times but never tried the classic pho (normally go for the vegetarian curry which is also sublime). Yesterday I went and got the summer rolls and the pho with an iced Vietnamese coffee. The staff were so friendly and the ambience is very relaxed. The food was all delicious with vibrant flavours and incredible authenticity. Definitely best restaurant in Catford.
