Excellent service friendly staff, food was exceptional will be definitely back.

A boutique restaurant with friendly and efficient staff. I always judge a chef by their cooking precision and presentation of scallops - passed with flying colours! An excellent and unhurried three courses. My only regret is that we were just visiting on holiday so sadly, a one off experience.

One word-fabulous! Saturday night with my brother, who lives locally. Great atmosphere, top staff and amazing food. I had goats cheese followed by fillet steak but all the food was really tasty and well presented. Good to see a local thriving business

Pleasant , friendly and attentive staff. Food was lovely, but unfortunately the menu on the night was not as good as the sample one on the website. There was little on there that really appealed to me. However, the food that I did order was really good. Being visitors in the area, we found finding the restaurant a bit difficult- it’s a shame it’s not signposted at all.

A fantastic evening with friends. A delightful restaurant that delivers on all fronts. Service excellent, ambience spot on, food outstanding. I had the barbecued pork belly to start followed by Guinea Fowl and finished with the sticky toffee pudding. The whole experience was absolutely on point. Will definitely visit again. Well done guys. It is actually pronounced Sag’e One of the best places to eat in Menai, cute little restaurant on an unsuspecting lane to the side of the main square. Definitely a treat and definitely worth a visit Xx

A fairly abrupt welcome at the door to begin with. A very flat environment to have your meal...like eating your dinner in someone's front room. A overpriced meal in our opinion for what was essentially meat and two veg, and could definitely do better at home. Won't be returning again. Very disappointing given the limited choice on the menue, and thought they might perfect the little choice they have to offer.

First visit to Sage. Good impression on entry, cozy atmosphere. Staff very friendly and attentive. Food amazing and good portion sizes. Also good value for money, will definitely return at a later date.

Visited Anglesey for the weekend and booked this restaurant as the reviews were good and food looked nice. The restaurant had a good atmosphere and waiter serving us was lovely but as for the food we were very dissapointed. It wasn’t hot enough being served, not much taste to it and my wifes steak came out rare when it should of been medium-well done.

This is a beautiful, cosy restaurant, loved the intimate atmosphere and open kitchen. Tastefully decorated. Only criticism would be portion size to cost and value, the quality is there but quantity no so much. 3 small scallops for £10 is expensive, if they were really big maybe arguable however small. The linguine was beautiful in taste but two muscles is a poor portion and again very small, I have had much better quality for less. £26 again for amount of seafood in the dish is excessive. One last negative was croquette needed more seasoning, a little bland. Positives food was served with minimal wait time and lovely friendly service staff, hot, fresh and seasonal produce. I love eating out a will pay over and above for food, but I’ve ate at Michelin restaurants with larger portions for less cost. However the chef has talent and we did enjoy the menu and food.

Visited for a belated Valentine’s trip, excellent atmosphere with the loveliest staff! Bethany and the team really know what they are doing! Super quick service but didn’t feel rushed at all, super flavourful dishes and I love that they switch the menu up often… although you can never go wrong with their filet steak! Will definitely be back again soon!

Really tasty food and lovely staff! I had the risotto for my starter which was so flavoursome, then I had the chicken for main which was so moist and tasty. However, the only complaint I have is there just wasn’t enough of the HEAVENLY honey panna cotta on my plate!!! I couldnt get enough it! Waw!! Incredible food and great service! Will definitely be returning!!!

This restaurant is very welcoming and has a nice atmosphere. Most of the food we ordered was very good and imaginative. Unfortunately my cottage pie was bland and over-priced

Lovely staff, great service and no long waits for food despite everything being fresh and beautifully plated. Excellent wine menu as well. I had the mushroom linguine, my friend had seafood linguine and my partner had the salon en croute, all three dishes were faultless and delicious.

Without a doubt, this is the best restaurant in Menai Bridge. The food was delicious (probably one of the best steaks I’ve ever had), and the service was on point. I would highly recommend! However I would point out, my partner thought the portion sizes were a bit small for him

Clearly I'm in the minority with this review. This is obviously a well liked restaurant. On this occasion it failed to impress. I went for the rabbit cassoulet to start. Don't know what I expected. Not much substance. The flavour was nice. Served with a very small slice of bread which was not enough to mop up the sauce. Not a great idea for a starter, especially for £10. I chose pork fillet for main. 2 small pieces of pork and a piece of crackling. 1 brawn crocket potato. Bowl of veg on the side. I was offered more veg if I needed it and I could see why. The meat was ok, nothing I could complain about but the portion size was very small. I didn't take up the option to fill up on veg. At £26, possibly the most overpriced plate of food I've eaten. Wife ordered fillet steak rare. Looked very nice however it was raw inside. Pointed this out and was asked if she wanted it cooked a bit more. If you are going to charge top dollar everything has to be very good and it wasn't. My dishes in particular were overpriced. I don't think I've ever eaten 2 courses in a restaurant and left hungry. A very disappointing experience.

Tucked away in the back streets of Menai Bridge this is a small but lovely restaurant. Food was of a high standard but pricey. I had mushroom tagatelli with truffle shavings and shared cheese and biscuits for dessert. Great service and friendly staff will be going back. My husband had duck which was perfectly cooked. The food was tasty and freshly prepared with quality ingredients.

What a great find! Tucked away in the back streets of Menai Bridge, this lovely restaurant produced great quality, home cooked food ranging from steak to cod to tender pork loin. The host, Bethany, went above and beyond to look after our family group of 5. Would thoroughly recommend this place. It was fantastic.

I visited Sage last night for the first time with my wife, we booked last minute and fairly late and the owner kindly fitted us in. We thoroughly enjoyed everything, the selection of food was fantastic, everything was perfectly done! We will be back! Thank you all at Sage 🙂

Delicious food , friendly staff and a good atmosphere.

This was the best place we ate at on the Isle of Anglesey, the cooking and presentation of the food was first class as was the service. We had pheasant for our starters beautifully cooked followed by local lamb and seasonal vegetables with some very nice primitivo wine. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone serious about their food looking for authentic local cuisine

Lovely staff, food was very good scallops were excellent, perhaps the price is slightly high for what you get, but it was a nice meal, the steak was slightly small for price and the trio of lamb could have been done with a bit more flare

When I had my starter I thought it was the best thing I’d ever eaten, then the main course was even better. Really impressive, glad we found it.

I ate at Sage Kitchen with my friend while having a break on Anglesey. We found the staff very helpful and friendly, even when I asked how the scallops were caught. Our server immediately asked the chef and the answer (the right one!) was diver caught in Scotland, so we both ordered them and they were utterly delicious. The sea food linguine which followed was also very good, as were our wine choices. This is not a cheap restaurant, but every aspect of our visit made the cost well worth it. We will definitely visit again when on Ynys Môn.

This is a treasure of a discovery. The atmosphere is friendly, cozy and relaxed. We started with Anglesey eggs which were intense in flavour. The rich 14.5% South African wine was perfectly paired with our delicious Welsh mains. Salt aged fillet steak with home cooked chips and piquant pink peppercorn sauce and lamb with roasted carrots and carrot puree. Both mains were luscious and sensuous. We completed the meal with lemon meringue cheesecake pie and a Pendryn Madeira whiskey that was super smooth. This exquisite evening was an experience we'll never forget.

Visited Sage Kitchen with my family for dinner. A lovely warm welcome as soon as you arrive. The restaurant is very well decorated and the food exceptional. We will be visiting again.

Fabulous, amazing meal. Great service. Highly recommend. My wife had the scallops followed by the most tender chicken either of us had ever tasted. I had the frittata followed by the Welsh lamb rump, delicious. Affogato and lemon meringue for dessert. Couldn't fault it.

We had a birthday meal for 5 and the food was delicious, service excellent and in a small cosy atmosphere. I had the scallop starter, red snapper main, and chocolate tart pudding. My entire meal was gluten free as well, 3 in our party were celiac and they were very helpful throughout!! Can’t wait to go again!!

Visited on Saturday evening and the place was full. The atmosphere was vibrant and despite being very busy the staff were excellent. We never felt rushed or under any pressure, they even found time for a chat. The food was excellent, we've never had fillet steak with so much flavour. We would definitely recommend Sage Kitchen to family and friends and will absolutely book again if in the area.

Hands down the best place to eat in Menai Bridge / Ynys Mon / north Wales. The food delivers every time. We have never ever not loved the food we've eaten and everytime we go back there's something new. Jenny & Bethany make us feel so welcome whenever we visit, they're so lovely and the atmosphere in the restaurant is perfect. If you're visiting Menai, get yourself to Sage!

This place absolutely left us gobsmacked; from the melted camenbert to the John Dory fish, we were rolling our eyes in bliss. The wine pairings were nothing less than a masterclass. It is bittersweet to have this be the first meal of our vacation, because it certainly won't get better than this!

Fabulous food, could not fault it. We loved every dish (there were 8 of us). To note though that the Scallops were melt in the mouth gorgeous. The front of house team were attentive, professional and friendly. Highly recommend a visit.

One of Anglesey’s top restaurants by far, we’ve eaten here more than once and the standard of food is always top quality, small intimate setting, staff are all lovely, would highly recommend a visit, you won’t be disappointed.

Good food, but at that price point, underwhelming. Service was excellent and there was nothing wrong for the food, except for the price. One would expect much higher quality and attention to detail for the prices they are charging. Overall a good experience, made a lot bwtter by the staff. Tight, small tables though. I think with some improvements these guys will do exceptionally well. Looking forward to seeing more.

Service, food and ambience all perfect. It is a small restaurant and was not busy it being a Tuesday evening but that made no difference. The menu was varied and better for being not extensive - perhaps 8 or 9 choices for main course. Would recommend this place to anyone.

The food was tasty, well cooked and presented. Service was friendly and prompt. The setting was poor, bare walls, floor, wooden tables, more like a cafe. No sound calming, every conversation echoed around the place. So the overall experience was just 3 / 5. Would be fine if you were in a noisy group of people, but no good for a quiet meal. They need to move to a better venue in Menai.

An absolute gem of a find. Large choice menu (had difficulty deciding - it was all delicious). Well presented and tasty food. Attentive, but not obsequious staff. Excellent wine list. Very reasonable prices for the quality offered (and considering the rate of inflation). One of the best meals I've had. I heartily recommend this place.

I really appreciated the welcome as a solo diner . I was found a table without booking one considering they were very busy. I lost my life partner of 34 years and this was a difficult time but I felt very comfortable. The food and service was excellent and will certainly visit again if visiting here again. It's an unassuming looking place, but the food was really excellent. My husband had rabbit stew, followed by pheasant and I had scallops followed by John Dory. It was a good menu and all really delicious.

My experience at Sage Kitchen was wonderful. Very homely and very welcoming by all the staff. I had the risotto for the starters and it was unreal. Highly recommended if you’re planning a trip to Menai Bridge.

I have no idea how I found this little Gem but I'm so glad I did. I went here for my anniversary with my wife. The food and staff were amazing. It was nice listening to how they started during covid and its testament to how good their service and food is that they are still here today. Therecwasxa nice choice of food available. Excellent risotto. Cooked to perfection. So was the John Dory. Small bowl of beans / peas for four was a bit skimpy though. Same with the dessert. Very tasty, but sticky toffee pudding was rather pricey given it was only about an inch square. Tables are ideal for two, but on the small side for four diners.
