Went here twice during my stay in London and I loved getting breakfast here. Their coffee is amazing and the pancakes are to die for. The place is really cozy and the staff is very kind. I'd stay in this area of London again just for this place alone. You know it's good when people walking their dog just pop in for a coffee to go.

We came here for breakfast having read the reviews! I loved the down-to-earth decor and variety of food and drink. To start I was very intrigued to try the blue match latte. Although the list of shakes and smoothies was also tempting. For food, my partner and I chose the Mediterranean breakfast which came with lamb sausage, avocado, peppers, grilled halloumi, poached eggs, spinach, sourdough bread and a hash brown. The drink arrived first and it tasted just of milk the powder had just congealed to a paste and did not blend in with the milk. This was swapped out for a homemade rhubarb lemonade which was scrumptious. The food itself tasted fresh and lovely however my partner's avocado was black in places/gone off and for the price that detail should have been picked up on. Overall plenty of good dishes to try, service and atmosphere were good albeit a bit expensive but it is London.

Not only this caf is cute both inside and outside but the food is great. the chérie on the cake is that their bread product is from dusty knuckles. I am rediscovering blackstock road after being absent for 8 years and this is one of my fav place so far. did I say that the staff is just amazing? I love it!

Wonderful cafe to have breakfast/brunch. Good variety of food and fantastic coffee. The atmosphere feels very relaxing and cosy, the staff is very friendly and approachable. We stayed a bit longer than planned after paying the bill and even got offered a slice of cake. One of the best place around Finsbury Park.

Overall, the place is lovely with a nice chilled vibe and kind staff. However, I am giving it 4* as we thought the portions were rather unsatisfactory especially given the price range. We got the Mediterranean breakfast and the Sage breakfast, and both were the smallest we've ever had, with super thin slices of sourdough that were overcooked to the point I had to only eat the middle of the slice, the rest was way too hard. The quality of the ingredients was good, but I've never ever left brunch, still feeling hungry before, which was a shocker. The lattes we got were pretty nice and creative though a bit too milky for our liking. Overall, I am not sure this would be your best brunch option in the area BUT it is a decent place to consider still. I might have to come back and give it another go before forming a more concrete opinion and saying whether I'd actually recommend it or not.

Staff seemed lovely and it's a cosy place but the food was disappointing. Not bad quality overall, a bit rushed looking, but the piece of sourdough for my salmon eggs royale was ridiculously small, with one poached egg half hanging off it. I would like to go back so hope they sort this out

This used to be my favourite place in London for years - from the food, music, gorgeous green ceramic cups. But for the past few months there has been bad house remix music playing really loud on repeat which is not relaxing. Also the new husk cups are made with plastic which I don’t want to drink from and when I asked for a ceramic cup they said they don’t have them anymore. The service generally seems less friendly than before. Pls play more chilled music and bring back the beautiful ceramic cups!

Another great option close to home. The quirky colorful decor makes visiting here a delight. The food’s delicious and the servings are large. The pricing is also decent. On my most recent visit, the staff were a little preoccupied to be as pleasant as they usually are, but I've been here other times and they're always lovely. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

It’s a shame because I liked the place and its vibes but people working there don’t understand what celiac disease is. After having a brunch there a couple of Sundays ago I’ve been sick in pain for more than 2 days

This might be the best cafe in London. For that reason, I hope too many people don't find out about it. Great breakfast options, delicious pastries and some novelty coffees that are actually delicious. I highly recommend these coffees. The decor is wonderful, the cutlery is adorable, even the toilet stall has a cool look to it. Staff are helpful, but also give you your space. I came across the place by accident while trying to find another cafe. I'm glad I didn't go to that one instead.

Local cafe serving an eclectic menu. Don’t expect too much and you will not be disappointed. Caesar salad with avocado and bacon (added) was decent. Colombian eggs were good. Wine was iffy - turns out the bottle had been open for a week before serving it to me. Might have been better not to serve it? But hey, if you want to order red wine in a cafe you get what you deserve…

LOVE Sage Kitchen. Brilliant, tasty food, great friendly service and cosy atmosphere plus outside tables when it’s warm! Love the Sage breakfast, so different from a normal cooked breakfast and feels healthy! I’m coeliac and never been ill eating Gluten free here, and they have nice GF bread. Support small and spend your money here and not that soulless brunch place on Blackstock road beginning with B 😉

We’ve been going to Sage Kitchen every weekend for the past 4 weeks and it’s become one of our favourite brunch places in London. Super tasty and flavourful - our go-to dishes are the Mediterranean Breakfast and Chicken Caesar Club Sandwich. Can only very highly recommend and we’ve now introduced Sage Kitchen also to different friends who also all love it!

Best brunch in London by far. The food, the environment, the service are all 5 star. This is my local gem. Cannot wait to go back.

Food was nice even though the portion was small. The cup for water is metal and it was horrible to use. We asked for glasses but the ones we received weren't very clean. Seating isn't comfortable. The whole set up/decorations is very nice.

We came for breakfast this morning and unfortunately left disappointed. The food was good, atmosphere too, but when it came to payment I was in shock. We got charged for swapping an item on breakfast, and while being charged £3 for extra sausage is somewhat acceptable, being charged an extra £2.5 for REMOVING a different item is ridiculous. (Both on the same meal) I was too stunned to speak when I saw the total on the screen. Note I was not even given the receipt, the team member just passed the card reader without even showing the total amount on the reader. I just managed to take a glimpse on the till. Overall the price of one full English came up to £18 - more than a dinner meal in a restaurant. Absolutely ridiculous. Paid over £40 for two breakfasts and two coffees. (Didn’t manage to see where all the charges came from) Will definitely not be coming back and it’s a shame because I was excited about trying this place.

Visited today with my boyfriend as it caught our eye on our walk. We had a delicious butterfly matcha latte, which we had never seen before. The staff were really friendly and the cafe had a great atmosphere. Being given a complementary brownie was also a lovely touch. Will be returning!

Relaxed atmosphere, superb breakfast, one of the best I've had in fact. The berry smoothie is very refreshing and tasty. Catered very well to gluten-free and vegetarian requirements with the food.

I highly recommend this place for breakfast or lunch if in the area. Unique coffee options like Lavender latte which I had doubts over but actually tasted really nice. The kids loved the Nutella and banana pancakes. They also finished a portion of chicken nuggets. I had the vegetarian breakfast which all tasted fresh and decent portion size. It would have been perfect with 1 more vege sausage. It was quite busy so I had to ask for the bill a couple times but overall a friendly service. I will definitely be returning if in the area.

I must admit that I haven't been so delighted for a long time when it comes to breakfast. We liked it so much that we also came back the next day and we will probably go back there every time we are in London. i highly recommend this place. there is delicious food and amazing decor

I think this might be my new favorite cafe! The food was suuuuper good, definitely the best toast i had in London The barman is helpful and will do a drink that might not even be in the menu if you ask (as long as he has the ingredients). The whole decoration and environment is extremely creative, they even use small bottles for the salt and the atmosphere is super peaceful.

Ambience/Location: Cosy and warm interior with plenty if seating, but not too big to lose the charm. Lovely seating outside for when rhe weather is warmer. Service: Friendly from the moment we entered. Order taken timely amd food delivered in a reasonable time. Food: Food was delicious. There were alot of delicious items to choose from on the Breakfast or Lunch menu (over the weekend, you order from both). The Peri Peri Chicken was delish, as was the Chicken Avocado Salad, with was refreshing yet very fulling. Very generous with the chicken on both dishes. We ordered the chicken nuggets and fries for our little one, which was plentiful for the price. Coffees were lovely. The offered a lot of gluten free options, as well as gluten free desserts (the GF ricotta cannoli was very good) Nice babycino as well. Price: Very reasonably priced for the area.

Amazing atmosphere and service! But giving 4 stars due to the food - caramel latte was too sweet. Pastry also too sweet. Salmon eggs royale were nice but side chips were disappointing.

Very friendly staff and nice food

3 of us went for brunch yesterday and we are still raving about it. We had 3 of the most beautiful looking plates of food and it all tasted incredible. A delicious oat matcha latte and earl greys. They were so accommodating, refill of hot water for the tea and gluten free bread for me. We had some sweet treats afterwards and it was great as they had some gf options too. It was warm inside the cafe, didn’t have to wait long for the food at all, and a very comfortable and cosy atmosphere! I’ve been to lots of cafes in the area and this is my favourite. Thanks for having us ☺️

Food was OK and service is lovely. I don't mind dog friendly places but when I picked up my bag from the floor it was loaded with dog hair - far too many dogs in a small space. It is not hygienic or fair on people who don't necessarily want to eat surrounded by them. I saw a waitress unable to serve a table because a dog was blocking her from even getting to it. This is too far.

We had the heuvos a la mexicana, american stack, and a single slice of a sweet potato. The heuvos were ok, but the pancakes were terrible. They were more like bread. Yes, you read that right, the roasted sweet potato side is a single sweet potato slice.

This is by far the best place for breakfast and lunch in N4 and N5. Lovely staff and owners. I would highly recommend getting your chops round the full English and the egg 🥚 dishes. The coffees are always a cut above as they use organic ingredients. Thank you Jann and Pepe, you are a credit to the neighbourhood.

A nice setting for the restaurant. Staff were good, but were not very attentive. We had to call them everytime we needed something. The brunch plates we ordered were ok. In comparison to other establishments that offer similar brunch options, this was very average. However, the milkshake and smoothie were much better!!

Always an excellent breakfast on any day, and sitting outside makes it even better. There was a (very minor!) mistake in my order and we were offered a piece of cake to make up for it. Very sweet!

Another cozy cafe in the finsbury park area. I come here often to get a coffee and once in awhile I get some breakfast. Such a wonderful find! Not only is the atmosphere amazing, but the service is too! I ordered a sage lemonade, a green smoothie, and avo on toast with scrambled eggs. All of these were amazing! The drinks were refreshing and perfectly combined, and the food was flavourful and cooked to perfection. Overall I would 100% recommend this cafe to anyone in the area!

I hade the scrambled eggs on avocado toast and cappuccino the first morning, and vegan breakfast and black coffee the second time. Good, solid ingredients beautifully prepared. Actually the best cappuccino I have had in a long time. It’s fascinating how fulfilling and lasting, well made food with pure ingredients are. I will definitely be back

Lovely little cafe! We sat outside as it was full inside which (although a tad cold today) was still very enjoyable as it's on a lovely quiet street. I ordered the 'Heartbeet' Juice and Matcha Latte - Both delicious! Middle East Breakfast - Very good :) Service was fast so friendly even though they were busy. Really lovely place with a great menu selection.

Hands down the best café around Finsbury/Arsenal. The most friendly staff and managers a café can ask for. Food is great. The atmosphere is homely and chilled. Great place to sit with a laptop and do some work.
