First meal from there this evening - excellent food and extra-mile service. The Gosht Katta was outstanding. Saffron Kitchen deserves its awards.

Tried it after the south wales argus "pumping it" chicken tikka was bland (no flavour) originally got given the wrong order! Onion bajhi rock solid (cooked multiple times) honestly its not worth the hype!

Awful chicken was not edible was processed cubed curry couldn't eat only thing that was nice was keema nan bread

My go to curry was always a madra until I tried saffron kitchen. The most delicious food I’ve ever tasted. I’ve tried most of the curries on the menu now and they have all tasted amazing. But my favourite is the maharaja bhuna. Amazing food. Amazing service! ⭐⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Waited over 2 hours for my order and still haven’t come. Staff were very rude on the phone and didn’t accept responsibility.

Ordered food on their website, was told around 45mins. 2 and a half hours later still no food, rung around 20 times with no answer. Ended up driving to them. Other people in there complaining food hasn't turned up and long waiting times. Shame as I've eaten there many times. Will not be returning.

Can't fault it, we order here regularly and won't go anywhere else! The staff are always super helpful as are the delivery drivers. I've never tasted a biryani like it, so authentic and fresh. Best Indian we've had in South Wales by far!

Overall very good, though onion bahjis could be better. Mid week special well worth the price, Though chicken Khazani, supposed to have garlic but no sign or taste of garlic, though I still enjoyed the curry.

I ordered takeaway after reading good reviews online, the starter tasted good but there was no lemon with the salad. They did provide free poppadoms and an extra pot of sauce. The main curry dish had good flavour but had chicken which was a bit on the dry and chewy side. The tropical rice was meant to have almonds in it but I could only find one flake so I wasn't impressed overall, sorry but it's a thumbs down from me.

First time ordering from here. Food was on time. Delivery guy very polite and friendly. We ordered chips, chutney tray, special balti, special fried rice, keema Naan, lamb tikka curry, garlic rice and garlic Naan. The chips weren't the best to be honest, nor the garlic Naan, but everything else was amazing. My husband loved the special red sauce but it wasn't for me. We would order again minus the chips and garlic Naan.

Very poor meal last night. Normally we order from here but we have noticed a gradual decline in the standard. Masala tasted just like Korma with some red colouring and the chips looked and tasted like they had been in the fryer half the time they should have been. Food is getting more and more oily and the whole experience meant we couldn't eat our meals. Very dissapointing.

Absolutely beautiful curries. Best place in Cwmbran by a mile. They added an extra dish for us to try for free which was delicious and generous and whatever the spicy red sauce that comes with the poppadoms is it's amazing. Second time of ordering from there so 5 different dishes in total and they've all been great 👍

Ordered a takeaway from Saffron Kitchen at 6.39pm Still waiting, called twice to chase 8.15pm it’s leaving the kitchen, called again at 8.50pm be leaving in 10 mins. Call handler (Victoria) very angry and rude, spoken to Justeat can’t do anything until 9.05pm. My advice if ordering from here, enjoy breakfast as it won’t be there in time for dinner.

Ordered from saffron tonight as our usual Indian was very busy and I have got to say I am very very impressed, the guy who served me was extremely friendly the atmosphere was nice in there and the food - well! The food was gorgeous, full of flavour and so so nice, will definately be ordering fron here again - we had an extra little red sauce in our order (chefs special red sauce) omg I was obsessed it was mega nice thank you saffron for such a delicious meal. We will defibately be seing u again very soon

We eat Indian food regularly, but had not heard of Saffron Kitchen until I happened to see an article that it had won an award. I ordered for the first time last Saturday and was extremely impressed by the quality and flavour of the food. The best Indian food I have eaten for many years - by far. We were so impressed that we ordered again this evening. Fantastic food and generous portions. We will not be ordering Indian food from anywhere else again!

1 hour 25 minute wait for food last night. Why 5 stars might you ask? When I ordered the delivery they told me 1 hour 30. So obviously rushed off their feet. I was a bit sceptical during the wait if the food would be up to the usual standard, as we had family visiting from outside the area. But my word did they not let us down. Driver apologised for the delay and was very courteous. Jalfrezi, Rezalla, Murghli masala and the chicken tikka was absolutely on point. To be fair I'll go as far as saying this is the best curry house I've ever had food from.

Only found this takeaway in the last few months and have been throughly impressed with the variety, taste, quality and quantity of every dish that i have ordered this far and i have ordered many. From placing my order to delivery the service is excellent and food arrives nicely boxed, hot and even with many extras. I have eaten from and in many restaurants throughout and this one is the best around. Please try dishes you haven't had before as you won't be disappointed. I did not know this place existed until a local leaflet drop this past weekend. Thought we would give it a go and went for their 'mid week special', the food was superb and amazing value for money, 100% will be returning. The gentleman who took my order explained each dish and offered sound advice on what to order. 10 out of 10, a definite asset to Pontnewydd Village.

Excellent. After we made a mistake by thinking 1 item was missing from our delivery, Saffron promptly sent out a replacement. The food was delicious and customer service was superb.

We are big fans of Indian food, been to Indian restaurants all over the world, and genuine foodies. This take away is quality.... We always go to the same Indian take away in Cwmbran which is very good, but this is considerably better than anything in Cwmbran or Newport. I would go as far to say it's the best Indian takeaway I've ever had. It was like having quality restaurant food in your own house. Very very tasty, great lamb and chicken with awesome flavours.... I won't be going anywhere else in the future 👍

I've ordered from here quite a few times now and it doesn't disappoint. Food always arrives in good time, piping hot and full of flavour. Meat is always tender and salad fresh. Delivery drivers are friendly too. I won't go anywhere else now.

Best takeaway curry I've had. Nice that the veggie curry was as amazing as the prawn pasanda. Certainly won't be going anywhere else. Great, fast service and amazing food. What more could you want.

I tried this last week, and was pleasantly surprised. A person behind the counter suggest house specials, so this week i have tried Saffron Special and Shaa Koo Tee (1chilli) the Saffron was delicious quite mild, the Shaa Koo Tee had a little bit more of a bite again delicious more flavour. Advised 30 mins and to the minute was ready as i arrived. Lots of chicken in both dishes as well. Watch for my review on Pathia, Tikka Masal and Korma! As a hotness guide.

The tastiest indian food that we've eaten in a long time. The tikka masala sauce was full of flavour and the lamb katalana was delicious! The lamb was incredibly tender and the sauce was thick an tasty with just the right amount of heat. The keema nan was also a must have. We will be regular customers from now on!

WOW, no other words needed im a massive Curry lover and this is by far the best Curry take out I have ever had, everything had its own individual beautiful flavour, I cant recommend this place enough, you won't be disappointed if you're looking for a good Indian take out!

Wow. Have been meaning to try this Indian for a while and tonight we finally did. This is by far the best Indian we have ever had. The food was piping hot and absolutely delicious. Every dish just had more... flavours going on! The Multi Award winning Chef has taken this to the next level or three and the "Red Sauce" wow, so fresh and with a little kick made an extra tasty addition to our meal. And as for customer service they are also outstanding in that too. We have found not only our favourite Indian takeaway but our now Favourite Takeaway. Only way this could be better is if they had a restaurant we could sit down in. Loved the "Indian Sweets" as well, we are very impressed and we will absolutely recommend you to all our friends and family. Already looking forward to our next treat night. I have just experienced my first meal from this take away. I had the wing starter....very nice tender meat accompanied by onion relish. Main was the lamb Zamdani...very spicy but full of flavour the meat again very tender and juicy... accompanied by light and fluffy pilau rice. Garlic naan completed the meal. Complimentary salad...mint sauce and a spicy tomato sauce. 2 poppadoms included. This is one of the best Indian takeaway meals I have had in a long time. Well recommended and I will be ordering from there again. Cheers mukkas.

Saffron Kitchen has shown itself to be BY FAR the best Indian restaurant in my immediate area, the Chicken Naga Curry I had was flavoursome, piping hot and beautifully spicy! The chicken pakora was by far the crispiest and yet juiciest I've ever had. The keema rice and naan were both rich and tasty! I placed my order and collected within about 10-15minutes, the pricing is reasonable for the portion sizes. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and will certainly be returning!

Not nice at all the korma was spicy when it should be mild, chicken in both currys was chewy and hard

Fabulous Madras, hot and sour as it should be, a little more expensive than others but well worth the money, well worth a try, I will be back very soon...
