One of my favorite grocery stores is Whole Foods. It’s relatively expensive, but the quality and variety of products are worth it, especially for unique and local brands. The hot food counters are fantastic, with tasty options. The store is big, offering an impressive selection. Even if we are not buying much, we enjoy browsing for treats and specialty items.

The organic vegetables now have chemicals ,my mouth taste chemicals (the greens Nero and broccoli)after eating them, before did not happen . This is very concerning because if we cannot eat organic vegetables from farmers what do we will have to eat? Macdonalds? The UK farmers are cheating .

This particular Kensington location is definitely not practicing WFM culture like how they’re supposed to (customer obsession). I visited this store around 7pm on a Friday night, the store wasn’t even that busy. SCO girl was extremely snobby, I asked her if I can use my whole foods discount code (yes, I work at US branch) she said zero words, scanned her barcode and walked away acted like I was a bother. Wow! Day and night compare to US stores, even the worst store in the US is still friendlier than Kensington location. Security guard was rude, I asked him where can I find “produce”, he was like “what!?” He looked at me like I’m daft. I said “fruits and vegetables”, he pointed his finger down and walked away (again, like I was a bother). I feel sorry for your store when our CEO or someone important from the main branch came for a surprise visit. Very disappointed on my visit. Hopefully SOHO and Camden locations have better service.

Very impressed with the size and range. I love going to Whole Foods, even if it's just to browse. It's pricey, but you also find all sorts of treats. The fresh produce, snacks, vitamins and hair care all looked fab. It can be a bit snooty in Kensington, but if you're not fussed about that, then you might like it here. It's over two floors, so posdibly double the size of the Picadilly Circus store, which has always been one of my favourites to pop to when I'm nearby. I'd definitely come back if I was in the area.

Whole Foods is truly a great place to run errands or even eat on the go. The place is super clean and well organized, with a wide variety of prepared foods, from pizza to roast chicken, potatoes, lasagna, and more. The fact that the price is calculated by weight is a real plus, because it allows you to take just what you want, without waste. The food is really delicious, everything is fresh and of good quality. This is ideal if you are in a hurry and want to eat well. The staff is also very pleasant and always ready to help. Whether for shopping or eating on site, this is a very good place to recommend!

Update!! To he last few times we went to this WFM it was unrecognizable. It they’re back! Is there new management ? The supplement section was back to outstanding. We found some interesting products for sure. The food bar has gotten better but I still miss the hey days with the restaurants upstairs. Is there ever going to be anything up there again? I was happy not to notice any of the awful supermarket brands. And there were fruit flies on the pastries so that was a bit off putting *** This was. 1 star review: Awful Pizza is now tasteless and the slices shrunk. Half the variety is gone. No whole foods branded items. Mostly what you can get in any high street supermarket. And a gentleman who works approached my child encouraging him to try a ketchup sample. I already told him no. He persisted. Been a WF customer since 1998. Worse and worse in UK, USA and Canada since Amazon purchased.

Quality ❌ Fruit n veg, meat, fish, meals looked dry, discoloured and old. It freaked me out seeing mountains of food stacked up expiring on the day of visit - at 9pm. Do they throw them all away or put a sticker with the new expiry date !? ☠️ Against all my gut instinct, I tried their sushi - and it was bad. Ambience ❌ Downstairs reek of urine, near the loo 🤢 Range ❌ There is nothing they stock you can't find in other places for cheaper. I love the Whole Foods stores in the US, the magic isn’t here in London. Planet organic does this better or Notting Hill Fish + meat shop - where the food and veg there are all insanely fresh and delicious.

It’s not expensive, and it tastes good. Baguette is also the only one. At 1.49, I can give it a try if it is of good quality. After comparing the money, there is a place near the door where I can sit low and eat immediately. The environment is good.

**updated. Now do courgette and aubergine grilled without dosing in oil which if desired is in the sauce section. Lovely cajun chicken presently with roasted red onion and peppers. Would be nice to have fish option that isn't breaded. Eating section, one side is warm and the other is like dining in the Artic, Wholefoods should sell dining-in jumpers. Always well stocked with staples and niche items. Would like if a sturdier wipe proof bag could be bought that can hold salad bar boxed without breaking the handles or sliding about.

I went to the fishmonger for some fresh fish and it was the most unhelpful customer service I've ever met. I asked what they recommended out of the marinated cod and the response was "it's down to what you want", to which I replied "I like a strong flavour profile and was met with the same response. When I then chose the cod fillet, he then marked it as something else which was double the price and when challenged, he didn't check the price but instantly knew he was wrong and changed it. From the interaction before, I'm expecting that it wad either deliberate or he didn't care. The only saving grace is that the fish was good. Check the calculation on your fish!

Whole Foods Market is a standout supermarket that sets the bar high with its emphasis on fresh, organic produce and impeccable cleanliness. Every visit to Whole Foods is a delightful experience, and I often find myself traveling from afar just to shop here, despite it not being my local supermarket. The quality and variety available make it well worth the trip. One of the major highlights of Whole Foods is its extensive selection of fresh, organic produce. The fruits and vegetables are always vibrant and flavorful, a testament to their commitment to providing top-quality, health-conscious options. This dedication to organic offerings is evident throughout the store, which is meticulously clean and well-organized, making shopping both pleasant and efficient. The fresh food buffets at Whole Foods are another attraction that keeps me coming back. The variety of hot and cold dishes, all prepared with fresh ingredients, caters to a range of tastes and dietary preferences. Whether you're looking for a quick, healthy meal or something more indulgent, the buffets are consistently well-stocked and inviting. Adding to the appeal is the coffee and bakery section. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee and baked goods creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. The bakery offers an impressive array of breads, pastries, and desserts, all of which are as delicious as they are fresh. Beyond the essentials, Whole Foods also carries a unique selection of toiletries, candles, sage, and incense, allowing shoppers to find holistic and lifestyle products that enhance their overall well-being. This comprehensive range of high-quality products, coupled with the store’s pristine environment, sets Whole Foods apart from other supermarkets. In summary, Whole Foods Market is the best supermarket I have ever visited. Its commitment to quality, cleanliness, and variety makes it a highly recommended shopping destination. If you appreciate top-notch organic produce and a superior shopping experience, Whole Foods is definitely worth the journey.

Would have posted no stars if that was an option. The products sold in this shop are no longer whole food ; heavy processed and individually wrapped products are taking over, the chocolate shelf is turning into a sweet one , most of the good quality chocolate bars are gone and replaced by sugary ones, the salad bar and hot food one are poor in taste and choice compared to what it used to be 7 to 10 years ago, the grain and nuts area is now bare minimal, hidden in a corner , the cheese section which used to be great is no better than any other supermarket around . The reshaping of the shopping floor was a way to hide the reduction of the range of products and the one still offered are often out of stock for weeks. Despite the inflation , my basket has decreased by a factor of 10. At least, when this shop closes, I would not miss it. The tourist might be easily fooled but not the loyal customer.

As I was leaving, my back and clothes felt wet and I noticed that something was leaking in my bag. I went back in asking if somebody had some tissues while I emptied my bag to find the culprit (olives). The security guard brought me wet wipes and blue roll while the manager came and asked what happened. He was very kind and so polite and went the extra mile to help me, as did other team members. The mini-wine bottles on the stand alone shelf are placed very close to the hot food section, which may cause the wines to overheat and degrade, as the mini-wine bottle I purchased was warm and tasted sour when consumed. I live miles away from the store, and Wholefoods online made no effort to refund me remotely, they didn’t even offer a voucher for the defective wine, so I have been left out of pocket. I’m not sure if they have a new buyer but selling Mcvitties hobnobs, ritz crackers and Kellogg’s crunchy nut has made me lose total trust in the products they sell. I would go there because I trusted they were selling brands with WHOLE FOODS but it seems profits are more important so have jumped on the processed garbage. Very disappointed, thankfully Planet Organic still have standards and care about the products they supply and where they came from. Hopefully someone speaks to the buyer and they but things right.

We came across Ukai by accident as we were making our way through Portobello Market and wanted a more substantial and comfortable lunch than that on offer from the market stalls. We perused the menu outside before entering having decided we liked the look of several dishes, so we went for it. Despite the throngs of people and hustle and bustle of the market outside, Ukai was surprisingly quiet, and with only a couple of other diners, we were given a very generously sized table, with comfortable seating. The paucity of other diners was a bit of a concern and prompted a quick look on TripAdvisor before we settled in and ordered anything. The recent reviews did nothing to alleviate the concerns, but decided to stick with it and were really glad we did. The staff were friendly and efficient and were prepared to explain the menu as well providing a warning that one of the dishes selected may come with a slight wait due to the time it takes to prepare. That wasn't a problem; we took that as an indication the dishes were prepared to order and were fresh. Also, we wanted a relaxed lunch and weren't in any hurry, but TBH, there wasn't any noticeable delay in any of the service. For starters, we went with a couple of cocktails, including a very refreshing Kyoto style mojito, and shared steamed edamame, chicken gyoza and generous portions of pork belly bao buns. Mains included the beef short rib and sizzling beef Toban-Yaki, with sides of broccoli and Japanese mushrooms. The food was well presented, fresh as expected, using quality ingredients, with delicious results. We enjoyed everything, so we were glad that we hadn't been dissuaded by the negative reviews. For us this place was a great find and provided a relaxed setting for the lovely lunch we had been looking for. Hopefully other diners will look beyond unfavourable reviews and give Ukai a go. For food this good it certainly deserves to busier than it was on a Saturday afternoon with lots of potential customers passing through the market outside.

After hearing mixed reviews about this place i decided to try this afternoon tea. They have Halal and Gluten free options. Overall ambiance and decor of the place is nice and floral. Staff was attentive and kindly offered free a hot chocolate to the child. However it took then 35 mins to bring the food on the table despite the whole place being quite empty. We had one Gluten free and one regular afternoon tea. Afternoon tea itself was very presentable offering variety of teas and we tried three different teas, the nicest one was Masala Chai. Sandwiches were ok in taste albeit rather bland. Scones were fresh, tasty and light. Unfortunately the desserts were very average in taste and were very basic. They do not do refills which is unusual for an afternoon tea. There is definitively room for improvement.

Better avoid if you know Malaysian/Singaporean foods.
