Sabai Sabai in Stratford-on-Avon

Walked in yesterday with my girlfriend, had an excellent dinner, which we couldn't finish. Absolutely delicious, would absolutely recommend my friends and would definitely return back 🥰

Be wary of the "deals" advertised for 30% off. The sandwich board out front has very faint print saying subject to conditions and the online teaser rate did not mention any conditions and the server did not inform us that the combo menus were not included. Food was good but false advertising left a bad taste in our mouths.

We absolutely love dining at Sabai Sabai. The food is incredible, the best Thai food around for miles. The staff are always very friendly, attentive and polite. We think it’s great value for money, we always have three courses and drinks. It’s our favourite restaurant to go to. Highly recommend if you are in Stratford.

Really good tasty food, great service and restaurant. Great value for the overall cost, plus you also get a Tree too, which the instructions are on the receipt.

Impromptu visit: hospitality spot on (Jacob & Woody), not intrusive, yet informative and the food was even better. We had set menu A. It’s the first time I’ve had satay chicken where you could taste the marinated flavours on the meat, not just the nutty sauce - beautiful. The Green Thai curry had heat but once again a perfect balance of flavour. I would highly recommend a visit!

We went here as a family to celebrate on Results day and it was great! We got a Set Menu B, which included a delicious starter selection of Satay Gai, duck rolls, sweetcorn cakes and more, and mains including garlic and pepper seabass, a SPICY red curry and a HUGE portion of steamed rice. All the staff were very lovely - many thanks to Jacob, Jess and Dalia for making sure we had a GREAT time.😁 Portion sizes were definitely worth the money, will definitely come again!

We were a large group celebrating a special birthday & had a wonderful evening! The food was absolutely delicious & even though we were a large group, all the meals came together & everything was so well organised. Found this gem of a restaurant by chance whilst on a short break at Stratford Upon Avon. Together with a lovely welcome and tasty food - made this a lovey birthday lunch for myself and husband. Great portion and yummy food. Atmosphere and decor great too. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed.

What a fantastic Thai restaurant situated in the heart of Stratford. Excellent service received from Jess and the food was just AMAZING, can wait to re-visit. The Beaf rib was unbelievable!

Went here on the 11 April with a friend. We had the pre-theatre menu which had a good selection to choose from. Couldn’t fault the food and the staff were friendly and helpful. If you’re looking for Thai cuisine I would recommend trying this restaurant. Nena was our waitress and she was very attentive.

This was my husband & I second time dining. I thought I left a review the 1st time we dined but it only went through on Groupon site so I am going to give 2 visits in 1 review double bonus. 1st visit Excellent service friendly & knowledgeable staff. What a lovely little gem. Staff are great and the food amazing. Service efficient and staff very knowledgeable about dishes. We shared a vegetable tempura starter which was huge! I had veggie yellow curry with coconut rice and hubby had chicken penang with noodles. Full Disclosure : my daughter (Amy) is a waitress in this restaurant. I will not say too much about the service as I am clearly biased! However, it was our first visit on Mother's Day. What amazing food! Both my husband and I have visited Thailand, and the food felt very authentic and was absolutely delicious. We were particularly impressed with the Pad Thai and the seafood.

Pre-theatre meal. Excellent choice of food, beautifully cooked and presented. Superb cocktails with friendly, attentive staff.

Excellent service, from the moment we walked in, to ordering with our excellent waitress. Very attentive, knew her role, thought about what we needed, made our evening go very well. The lady in question was 16, but so so lovely. Food came out quickly and tasted amazing. The team wanted to do everything they could to help.

Visited for dinner at the weekend, booked that day, restaurant large inside and we were seated in the section at the back which was dark and not v attractive, menu as online with no specials, we ordered a set meal, 3 of the starters were v good (esp the prawn tempura) but the sweet corn cakes were weird and not v pleasant, the main course consisted of rice plus 5 large dishes of which 3 were good but the chicken dish was tasteless and the red prawn curry was just too hot and inedible. So overall some of the food was v good but the setting and 3 of the dishes let it down. It was disappointing and we will not revisit nor recommend.

Second time we have eaten here. The first time was fantastic so we came with some friends and the food was just incredible again. Too often I have returned to a restaurant to find it not as good the second time around, but not here and will be certainly returning in the near future. We had a mixed plata starter and various mains. All four of us really enjoyed ourselves

Mediocre and not authentic. Starters seemed as if they were from the freezer/pre-made from a Chinese supermarket. Ribs were Chinese style, squid was bland bread crumb coated and came with iceberg lettuce rather than the advertised Thai salad Mains were better. Short rib massaman was pretty good

Service was slow (we were just about to leave when we were served) 10% non discretionary tip and a green levy charge were added to the bill.

It was the first night we were out without kids all year. We hadnt booked a table as we wernt sure what we wanted to eat. The restaurant did find space for us upstairs then left us waitng for 20 mins. Another couple came in and they had their order taken we got the waiters attention but we got our drinks by the time they had nearly finished their starter. Food was nice but it took so long to come between courses that we felt like an inconvenience, we nearly left at one point. We did say to the waiter that served us and another waiter who came to take payment (as again we were left waiting) that we werent happy but we were just told that it was vey busy. I think they should have been honest with us if they didnt have enough staff.

On our second evening in Stratford we thought we would try some Thai cuisine, I really pleased we did, the service was excellent and the quality of food was first rate. The portion sizes are quite large and the quality of the food was really good. An excellent restaurant, pleased to have visited

We absolutely loved this restaurant, and I think I've converted my boyfriend to Thai food! It was easy to book online, and we had a lovely table near the back. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and the service excellent. The portions are substantial, and the food itself was absolutely delicious. We had a starter and a main, and couldn't finish it. My boyfriend loved his Ginger Bee Sour cocktail, and my Thai iced tea was absolutely gorgeous. Would definitely return if in Stratford again.

I’ve been coming here from day one. My previous reviews, bar one, have been so complimentary. On my most recent visit, unfortunately the fayre was substandard. There was no need for this, as the restaurant only had a handful of diners. Times are hard, and the competition is eager. Now isn’t the time for complacency and resting on your laurels.Oh, and by the way, your wine prices are too high as well.

The food is freshly cooked and authentic Thai, The service is good and not overbearing. They let you eat slow and steady. Will come back whenever staying at in Shottery again as it was recommended by the manager at Burnside Hotel.

Authentic Thai Food - we came on a Monday evening - there were only like three tables occupied. We ordered a Tom Yum Gong, green curry Tofu, PAS Thai and a broccoli stir fried. The portions are large especially the soup - one order was sufficient for two persons- they had fresh prawns in the soup which was delicious. The green curry was a little sweet though tasty and the stir fried broccoli was nicely sautéed. Decor was intimate with warm subtle Lightning with candles laid around. Recommended if you miss Thai Food.

The restaurant was almost empty and the maitre de asked if we booked!! Ordered a Diet Pepsi,but it was on mixer tap and terrible, so swapped to tap water. Ordered prawn crackers and satay to start - tasty. Followed up with Massaman curry with fried rice, which was tasty and Pad Thai, which was not as good as I’d hoped, more like a chow mien. Service OK, not particularly warm (10% service charge added automatically!). Bill came to £56. It was OK but I’m not sure I’d go again.

We were here on a Wednesday evening at the end of September so the place was very quiet but the staff were attentive and friendly. We had the best meal of our 3 night stay on Stratford here. We ordered a set menu for 2 between 3 of us and we couldn't eat it all there was so much food. It was all delicious but the chicken Thai green curry was the star of the show. Thoroughly recommended.

I pre booked earlier. Firstly we were stuck on two high bar stools in the window. Which was fine for a short period. But after walking out. It felt that I had ridden a horse for ( hours. Back to the food. I asked if the duck spring rolls were home made? . And the poor waitress had no idea. But came back and said that they were home made along with ribs . Once they arrived the ribs were stone cold and the spring rolls were just warm. They took the ribs away and 3 dings later out of the microwave they re appeared. The reason i said the microwave is because two of them were still cold and the rest were hot. My wife had the lobster tail which she said was good and I had the massaman beef curry was very good tender meat. Overall the staff I felt had no idea about the food.which comes down to lack of training if any Would I go back!! Sorry no

In the area for a short break and loving Thai food we had dinner at Sabai Sabai. Totally impressed - excellent food - excellent service - friendly atmosphere - attentive staff. Sadly we were leaving the following day otherwise we would have re-visited. Thank you for a very enjoyable experience.

Came for dinner on a Saturday evening and managed to get a table without a reservation even though the restaurant was busy. Orders were taken very quickly and starters appeared shortly after and were delicious. The mains however took longer than expected and after 20 minutes we were about to ask where our food was. In contrast, the table next to us ordered about 10 minutes after us for their mains and had already finished their food before there was any sign of ours. The chicken dish was very tasty, but in the second main the prawns were chewy and cut so small you couldn't even tell they were prawns, disappointing given this was a premium £20+ dish. No apology of the long wait and with a mandatory service charge we weren't able to reduce in line with our service. Overall it could have been perfect, but let down by patchy service and chewy seafood .

Came here for a casual date night dinner. Staff were very welcoming and thankfully it was quiet (Tuesday night). Our food and drinks came quickly and we're brilliant, portions were good we were stuffed by the time we finished.

Had dinner here yesterday evening & wow!..didn't disappoint!, had been to Thailand over Christmas & New Year so expectations were high, Tamarind Duck & Beef Massaman were excellent, the Beef was melt in the mouth. Starter sharing platter was scrummy, with possibly the only item we thought might need some work were the Thai Fishcakes which were a little bland. Overall, great food in great surroundings, staff were lovely too, only wish we lived closer!
