Love it, absolutely brilliant every time!

Five stars, service, drinks and food are all fantastic. Will definitely return. The spicy tuna gunkan was worth the visit alone.

Always a night of delight trying new things at nishimura, never had a bad meal or experience here!

First visit, friendly and responsive staff, clean and cosy environment, food quick to arrive, eel nigiri and soft shell temaki were so tasty! Also the salmon teriyaki ramen broth was so rich and there was lots of salmon, really enjoyed! (Also would recommend the lemon iced tea - so refreshing!) Will be back! 😊

Excellent value for the buffet they they make fresh for you. Great vegan options.

Really great food, I had the Ten Don and it did not disappoint along with the rest of the food as I went for the all you can eat. Literally everything in the menu is worth eating. Staff were really attentive and friendly. Great to see they’re still making yummy food since I last visited their old venue.

Absolutely love coming here, brilliant fresh food, excellent service, when I come with my children they are so welcoming and create beautiful dishes to cater for them. What a lovely pre-theatre meal we had today! I was with my wife and son at Nishimura in The Uplands, Swansea just before going to see La Boheme at The Grand. The atmosphere was really restful despite several other customers all chatting. The background music helped (and I don’t always enjoy this sort of thing). The serving staff were polite, efficient and knowledgeable, making ordering the food really easy. We had a variety of main courses, featuring rice or noodles. I went for a chicken curry with noodles dish which was served very promptly and absolutely piping hot. It was delicious! Very savoury and with some pink shredded ginger at the side of the plate of an extra kick. My wife and son were equally impressed and I will definitely be calling in again!! Thank you 🙏🏽

Decent food, not spectacular but tasty. However, I placed an order on their website at 17:59 for delivery at 19:15. After phoning twice to check where my food was, it finally turned up at 20:17. I live 1 mile away. That isn't acceptable service when you've spent over £100, and 3 cans of soft drink thrown in to compensate doesn't cut it either!

We went for food and had an amazing time! We had prawn and cheese maki, a volcano maki, and a caramel salmon maki, the new chefs specials. All where full of flavour All the workers we saw were full of smiles and all seemed very happy. It was very good value for money and all around a very good experience.

Went here for a dinner date with my fiancé and the whole experience was wonderful, friendly staff, beautifully presented and delicious food and a nice calm atmosphere to boot all in all I’d recommend going here

Restaurant was cold so had to keep coats on. Booked online in advance but restaurant did not confirm reservation nor pick up the phone to confirm so had to ring Mumbles branch. Fish was bland and tasteless only got flavour from wasabi etc but that did t add flavour only spice. Mochi was bang average. Our waitress had a poor attitude and didn’t smile once, was very rude and basically shouted at us when we didn’t quite hear the food orders she was delivering. Overall for the price I wouldn’t recommend, the food, atmosphere and service do not match the standard expected or paid for. Disappointing birthday meal.

Great food, great service, everything is reasonably priced and tasted very good, the sushi was very fresh, the staff were very professional and attentive and we will absolutely be back soon!

Fantastic place! All the staff are extremely nice, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is very nice!

Poor service and lackluster food. Adding sriracha to a spicy roll does not make it “spicy” and it drowned out any other flavors. Waited to have someone come to the table and then over 5 minutes to get a spoon for miso soup. Chicken teriyaki was only rice and chicken. Was excited to try this place, left unimpressed. Too expensive for what you get.

Tori karage has changed to a cheaper sfc chicken but doesn’t mention it’s changed still shows original one on menu Food is amazing from here but can no longer eat here as they will not accept a cash payment

As a big sushi fan and a genuine lover of Japanese food, I love the part that the all-you-can eat includes sashimi (though dessert not included) The tempura prawn, agadeshi tofu, miso soup and edamame are cooked to near-authentic Japanese cusine. Will definitely come again.

I ordered online from their website for myself only. Their katsu curry did not state that it came with rice, and so I ordered extra. I also ordered some nigiri and miso soup. What came was a large meal for two, with what looked like a much larger portion of chicken (almost double) than usual, and a serving of harumaki. The order came with two sets of chopsticks. It seems, to me at least, that Nishimuras thought a pair or couple didn't have the money to order two separate meals, and so supplied them with extra. Well done Nishimura. Times are hard and these gestures are remembered.

Great Little place. Love their veggie options. Used to be a wagamama visitor but not anymore after visiting this place.

Food and service average so was not happy to be charged a ten per service charge especially when they served people who came in after us first. Plus we weren't told about the service charge until we went up to pay. Was not happy so won't be going again as it's tough enough for people to go out and pay for eating out during these times without paying extra especially for very average service.

Amazing food, really freshly prepared, excellent service. We ordered sushi platter, prawn soba, katsu prawn and salmon nigiri plus extras, everything was delicious. My daughter really enjoyed her birthday treat thank you very much. We will definitely return.

Having read many praises in the reviews, we decided to try out this restaurant. Our order included Tempura Udon Noodle Soup, Prawn Katsu Curry, and the Tokyo Platter. While the dishes were tasty, they did not live up to our expectations set by their price points. The servings were generous, yet the pricing seemed unjustified, especially considering I have encountered better Japanese food at more reasonable costs elsewhere. The service was good, although the restaurant's busy atmosphere meant that we occasionally found ourselves waiting for assistance. However, this was understandable. The ambiance of the place was pleasant and added to the overall experience. Would I dine here again? Possibly. But would I recommend it to everyone? Probably not, especially for those who prioritise value.

It's OK at best. Nice atmosphere. Staff were OK. Extremely over priced for what you get. Food was basic at best and very overpriced. I'd get better at little Tokyo. Bento box cost 17.95 for a cheap salad, some rice, a deep fried piece of pork katsu, some edamame beans, and 2 veg gyoza, and the little pot of broth. Definitely not worth 17.95

Lovely place and lovely staff. But it is overpriced for what it is. I felt like I could make a much better, more healthy feeling ramen at home despite paying £12.50. Prawns didn’t taste perfectly fresh and the broth was basic. It was nice but not worth the money. Atmosphere and staff were great though.

Came in just to try to see if nice.. the results are best Japanese dishes in Swansea! In fact best I have ever tasted very authentic! 100% would highly recommend! the hospitality from Tina and Chef Steve was OUTSTANDING I had the Noodle dish, spring rolls and vegetarian dumplings were so mouth watering delicious! Definitely will come back with family and friends. Looking forward to it! Excelled in food and customer service. So glad I found my regular authentic Japanese cuisine now and not just those franchises. Thanks Aysha

Sister restaurant to Nishimura, same menu and serves draught beer which is a plus. Really excellent food and friendly staff. Not had takeaway but eating in is great.

Ordered takeaway. Food wasn't all there customer service yelled was in the shop & hung up... Eel was beyond chewy as was the octopus. Missing miso & sushi from Benton box. Not impressed as now my husband is feeling rather ill after.

Food was late, cold and not really all that.

Nice food but when I got given something I didn’t order and I was made out to be wrong which made the whole meal awkward especially with two girl workers coming off annoyed by it and then I was finally given the right order but it seemed thrown together , it just set a downer for the meal out. After I ate my meal I grabbed a menu from a different table to check if I was actually wrong for what I asked for and I wasn’t "number 30 prawn tempura" how I asked which that number is the ebi hosomaki prawn tempura I don’t normally right negative reviews but the whole scenario made me uncomfortable and probably I will just stick to nishimura considering I’ve never felt uncomfortable with the customer service Sorry to be the negative person!! Ryungin does have tasty food tho!!

my partner and I came for food a week ago and everything was so lovely. Portion sizes are large and the food is amazing. I had the Beef Kimchi ramen and it was delicious! I love the pancakes for dessert too!

Delicious food and fantastic service. Visited Ivy Asia in Cardiff recently and ordered similar dishes, but once you take the ‘theatre’ of the Ivy away and concentrate just on the quality of the food itself, I can honestly say Ryugin was better. No tinned tuna in the sushi here, just proper raw tuna!! Delicious (and thrilled they also do takeaway)! Also, the Plum wine / sake is lovely.

6pm booked. Great food and very friendly staff... Place was packed within 30 minutes and queuing out of the door for takeaways. It's definitely worth the effort. Bento boxes are very filling.

I’m so happy I decided to eat here. The food was delicious!! I had the Takoyaki and the Pork Katsu Bento. Really delicious and the texture of everything, the crispness and tenderness of the pork was actually to perfection!! Even the salad was really good and I’m usually not the type to love salads hahaha. The sushi was so yummy, even the wasabi. I was so happy while I was eating here 🥹 The staff were super nice too and the atmosphere overall was so nice :)) I recommend eating here!! Getting one of the Bentos is something I’d recommend if it’s your first time eating here, it has a little bit of everything. I will definitely eat here again!

Although this restaurant opened a month a go. All I can say that was simply amazing. The food presentation and taste was really good. I was just passing by on holidays and if I return I will most certainly return to this restaurant. I highly recommend to local and visitors. Thank you
