RVP Cafe in Manchester

I sure do love spending £3.40 for a 200ml milkshake (£2.10, which is genuinely crazy, considering I can get 8 of them from heron foods for £2) and a kitkat... then the food that we paid for didn't come because all of a sudden they didn't have any food.. Also a slap in the face when the refund will take a whole 3 days. They're slapping the whole concord thing on there so they can overprice it

Service was slow, prices were high. Fairly busy at midday

In terms of food, a bottle of coke, an ice cream and 2 coffees equated to about £14 which isn’t that bad nowadays for a tourist attraction. Service was nothing to complain about and the atmosphere is very good. Not only is there a cafe, but there is an outside area, a viewing platform and a play area. You can easily see planes takeoff and land from each runway and this is very good for photographers and spotters. Also, there are a few retired planes dotted around the area such as the Nimrod, the Trident, the BA 146 Professional and in its own hanger, the Concorde, all being very good to look at. Also, you can have a paid tour inside the Concorde and the Trident, which these tickets are roughly £14 per person, which i don’t think is that bad for a tourist attraction, these tickets also last an hour, so you get a lot for your money. Lastly, there is a 360 flight simulator which is based on a fighter plane where you can do barrel rolls and loop the loops. Overall, i think this is a very good day out for the family and even friends.

A nice place to eat, however it is VERY expensive for what you are getting and quality seems to have decreased over the past few years. It is usually loud and busy inside.

Absolutely stunning day out if you love aeroplanes! The commentary had just been fixed when we went and the weather was beautiful. We traveled all the way from Birmingham to come here and would definitely do it again. BIRMINGHAM AIRPORT TAKE NOTE! I plan to do the concord viewing next time round.

I had the normal hot dog and fries. The dog in the hot dog was actually warm. And the onions was nice, as well. They also had 4 different sauces and a nice set of cutlery, sauce cups and napkins. However, Costco had it for £1.50 and it was over £6 here. And there was a small mixup with table numbers which was okay. I would recommend bringing your own food from the M&S near there as they do meal deals for only £3.40 or bring your own food. Hot chocolate review! This one was the best by far. 9/10. There was chocolate in it.

Pizza, spotting, Concorde. 10/10.

Service was slow, unfriendly and our order was inaccurate. The actual food was alright, edible but nothing wow. Hot drinks were fine.

Well done to the lad on the counter running the till and making/serving coffees all by himself at around 11am. I saw a couple of staff walking around but not one seemed to help him. More people were adding to the queue and the service was slow due to this, however he did not look stressed and carried on doing his job calmly. Also the lad manning the bouncy castles as he was chatty and looked like he was enjoying his job.

Great cafe to watch the planes from, had a sausage and bacon butty which was lovely!

Brilliant food, great price, great day out!

Great place for kids big and small to see aircraft close up taking off and landing plenty of tables and food and drinks, also a Concorde to get close too and various other planes to look at

It's an ok place to have drink and food.

Very sad that such a lovely viewing area is let down by such a poorly run cafe. Lots of nice outdoor seating and a nice and spacious inside. The lunch menu is very limited and basic and is pretty much pre packed sandwiches and snacks, pizza, paninis and hot dogs. We ordered 3 classic hot dogs which according to the menu came with fried onions, fries, tomato sauce and American mustard. We added extra cheese to 2 of them and extra chilli to the other at a cost of £2 extra. Then a different lady to the one who served us came over and said the chef didn't understand the order as it had been put in wrong at the till. It them transpired that the lady on the till had not only imput it wrong but only charged us for 2 so I had to go back and order another one. The lady who came to sort it out was friendly and helpful but the lady on the till was completely disinterested with no customer service skills whatsoever. Then when the food came she had still got it wrong. We got 2 with chilli and 1 with cheese but we just decided to accept it as it came. There were no fried onions, American Mustard or tomato sauce on any of them although there was ketchup available from a bottle near the till. Very disappointed and very sad as it could and should be so much better. We'll go to the viewing park again but we'll be taking our own food

Went last wed my husband left his wallet phoned they said it hadn't been handed in but would check and phone me at 12 , no phone call I phoned 37 time's and no one answered phoned the following morning was told by a very rude lady they have one phone and they was busy and to phone Manchester Airport lost property , Friday afternoon we got a phone call to say the wallet had been handed in just after we left and was at the till where the lady had supposedly had looked, I think staff training is in order especially how to speak to people

Every time I go here the food is incredible! Would recommend!

Awful service. More expensive than a service station. I paid just shy of £20 for two breakfast and two cups of tea. The staff were the least attentive that I've ever experienced. There was no toast or bread with the breakfast. We left feeling robbed and disgruntled. The viewing area was good though. £5 for two hours parking was worth it. Just bring your own food and drink, then you'll enjoy yourselves.

Unbelievable the price of drinks. Please bring a pack lunch and additional drinks with you when you attend.

What a view! Concorde on one side and an active airfield on the other. Prices are reasonable for the location and the food / drink quality is great. Somewhere to shelter when the (frequent) Manchester showers hit.

Best bacon rolls and lattes and not over priced. A lovely place and a lovely day out

Amazing food good price too it and we got to go on the concord that is situated next to the cafe! There is great views of the outside and the planes now the reason I removed one star is because I got really bad diarrhea after eating here so be warned

there is lots of seating inside here . it was lovely to see Concorde just on the other side of the Restaurant You still got a lovely view of this beautiful airplane . and don't forget to take your camera with you

Excellent location, views of Concorde right beside the cafe indoors and great views across the runways watching the air traffic landing & taking off. Good food at reasonable prices, friendly staff and ample seating indoors & outdoors, plus outdoor picnic tables nearby. Recommended, especially following the Concorde tour which we did. Recommeded!
