Rumour Coffee in Armagh

We got the Sunday lunch delivered today. When we got it the food was still hot so just needed a short heat up. The food was delicious and well seasoned. Ordering was easy just a phone call and it came very quickly. I totally reccomend Rumours its local, it serves good food and the driver was very friendly.

We were looking for a quick lunch in Armagh and thankfully we stumbled across Rumours. Great selection on the menu catering for everyone including daily specials. Great sized portions and value for money. We will definitely be back.

Armand was lovely this time of year, that is in October with an occasional frost on the fields in the morning but warmed up enough to be short sleeve or light jacket weather during the day. Everything was in walking distance and it was good exercise going up and down the hills to get to the churches and cathedrals. Lovely outdoor Coffee bistro’s, mini quaint restaurants with the main hotel in town offering all the advantages of Irish fair as well as general, but I would call north American cuisine. Extremely friendly people more than happy to point the way and even help you find your way to what you’re looking for. Loved my visit! You would too!

Disgusting!!! . Food, blue moulded bread. Toasties were freezing! Ham I knew was out of date. My husband has coffee and it was freezing the milk tasted sour and he had a burger which was not cooked right at all. Staff where very un pleasent. There is a restaurant next to it which has been their for 20 years which is very popular and great home made food. I’d advise everyone to go their instead .

A great cafe with a great selection of food and drinks! Not to hard to find as it's on the main street of Armagh!

Following a recent first time visit for breakfast I was very disappointed - ordered bacon and poached eggs on wholemeal toast. The toast was fine though the bacon and eggs were not. The bacon was overcooked though not crispy it was dull and fatty with the white salt deposits oozing. The poached egg whites were clear and trying to escape from the plate whilst the yoke was weirdly runny and hard. All said though the service was ok.

Great little find. Popular with locals. Great service. Open Sunday mornings too! Ideal when in city centre to pop into.

OK this is a very busy coffee house. Its more a dele hot food place so who am I to knock it but it is very busy and tables are a little close together so no comforts. Coffee and scvone nice , Observed Baby boils going out, hope no charge and well done if so!

The food is made fresh every day and is served in cafeteria style which is a personal favourite of mine. You get to see all your food options and smell all the beautiful food too. There is a mass selection of sandwich and salad fillings and the staff are happy to advice on healthier options. The coffee is the best in town. They know me that well now they don't even ask how I like it. I love this place with its outside seating where you get to enjoy armagh's beautiful architecture and watch the world go by. Customer services don't come much better than what you get from the staff of rumour cafe. They can't do enough for you and always with a smile.

Have eaten here a few times for lunch! The menu is great and I have never had a bad feed there. The staff and in particular the owner Eddie always go out of their way to ensure everyone is enjoying their food. Will definitely be back!!!

This central coffee shop was buzzing when we visited. There was a good selection of cakes scones and breakfast items. We ordered large cappuccinos which were very good value and my husband had a scone which he declared was fresh and delicious. Although busy, staff were friendly and helpful

A nice find. Premises is immaculate and very well presented. Food counter clean with good range of options for breakfast or lunch. Having walked around to decide where to go for coffee and breakfast, we are confident we chose one of the best options the town has to offer.

Was here a while back with friends and it was on a Sunday. To my shocking surprise they do not accept cash. I was totally shocked with this as moving forward in the world people are using card not cash. I know this isn't a high deal but I watched a elderly man not fit to walk and when he went to pay for his meal he was told to go to the cash machine across The road. I just thought this was so unnecessary. The most annoying fact and the main one I am trying to point out is that this is not advertised anywhere! you are not notified until you go to the til. Just put a sign up.

Lovely cafe. Very accommodating staff, couldn't have been more helpful getting high chairs and providing us with table service. We only had a morning snack but the scones were lovely. Will definitely be back.

Called in here today was very surprised!! Had a toasted wrap and it was lovely will Defo be back very pleased, friendly staff and good food!!

Girlie catch up over looking market St in Armagh on a cold and wet Fri afternoon coffee is excellent shop very clean and staff extremely friendly can't wait to visit again

I would never dream of going anywhere else other than Rumour! Very reasonable prices, all the staff are so friendly, the food is super tasty and you are not left waiting for ages for your food to arrive. It's a nice and friendly atmosphere. A lot of the locals frequent here and there is always plenty of craic to be had! I have been in other restaurants where they do not have much tolerance for children, but in Rumour nothing is too much trouble - the Rumour family is most definitely one that you want to be a part of! It's spotless and their coffee is the best in the county!

Called into this restaurant because of the location to the theater. As we were early for our show we decided to have coffee and a wrap and we were very pleasantly surprised when it was sat down to us - there was enough for two and when I asked for a plate for my friend it arrived with side salad; the food was so tasty. The friendly staff interact with the customers and it just felt like such a lovely relaxed place to dine. Top marks across the board RUMOUR. Very child friendly too! Kudos to you all.

Called in on passing by on rainy day. Good choices but a little on expensive side for what it is. Very busy, nice coffee.

Great coffee, relaxed atmosphere and good service.... but could do with a good clean, inc. toilets. Will give it another visit, hopefully it will have had a spruce up!

As a stranger in Armagh City, I chose Rumour for breakfast due to its excellent location on the main street and also due to the fact that it looked busy with locals, usually a good indication of its reputation.

Wanted a quick bite to eat after walking around Gosford Forest Park (all of the coffee houses in Markethill are closed on a Sunday) and saw some life in this cafe so opened the door. 3 staff then informed me that they were closing; this was on a busy sunny Sunday in the height of summer during the twelfth fortnight which is when a lot of people take their holidays. To say I was flabbergasted is an understatement. Parochial NI still has a way to go with the idea of tourism and customer centred service - not impressed.

Good coffee and great atmosphere very friendly staff and its right in the middle of Armagh. Good for lunch.

Hi!! I visited Rumours on Nov 27th for a Sunday roast dinner.it was delicious & I could not find fault with my meal.the roast beef was tender & good quality,I asked for some more roast potatoes, it wasn't a problem. From I ordered the lunch was on the table within minutes.. Dessert was scrumptious too..all very reasonably priced , not expensive. Its a smoothly & well run place, well staffed too for the Sunday lunchtime rush.. I wholly recommend this place as I have told my friends..will definitely be back..

Freshly made breakfast with lots of staff on hand to serve you.Was impressed with the great coffee as well. Good stop early on a Sunday morning when most other places were closed.After visiting mall and Cathedrals on a cold winter morning this was a good stop. Good wifi as well to plan the next move.

£4.95 for the smallest chicken curry and rice I've ever had, I asked for chips and never got them.had it ate in less than 2 minutes. Tasted ok and service was fast but had to to go elsewhere to get something else to eat to fill me up. Definitely not worth the money .

We shared a club sandwich which also came with a sizeable quantity of salad and coleslaw. It was very nice. The service was very good and the premises very clean.I would certainly recommend a sandwich here.

Called in with family and enjoyed a variety of coffee and cakes all of which were lovely. Would definitely go back. Staff very friendly and helpful

Was here with my family on a day visit to Armagh. Could not fault the service and the quality of food. The most important aspect I look for, customer service and how customers are treated, was as much as you could hope for. Staff were attentive and friendly. Nice relaxed atmosphere and food prices for what you get are excellent. This is the second time I've taken my family here, but will be far from the last. We will definitely return when we're next in the area.

After checking out some Armaugh sites, we stopped at Rumours for a casual bite. The space is small so seating can be a challenge if you're timid. Order at the counter and find your prized seat for your food to be delivered. I got an Americano (excellent brew) and the spicy chicken wrap. I asked for the bell peppers to be left off and was told sure. So either the kitchen did pay attention or they really don't like to customize. Besides me picking the peppers off forever, it was a tasty wrap. The cole slaw was very saturated with mayo but that seems the local style.If anything, I'd come back for the coffee!

I used to come here often but my recent trip just put me off completely. When I recieved my food it was stone cold and not worth eating. The staff are not nice at all and just takes away from the experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

When we called here late afternoon I wasn't too sure that I'd come to the right spot.I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly and efficient staff.I had a lovely sandwich and tea well presented and served quickly.I could see that it was very busy with local trade and that's always a good sign!

We decided to travel into Armagh which was our first visit. Stopped at the Rumour Cafe for lunch. First class service was provided and they also provided our dog with a drink of water. We had the chicken Caesar wraps - they were gorgeous!! Lovely food made fresh to order. We will definitely be back. Many thanks!!

My wife and I took two dear American visitors from Texas to Rumours for a meal today (Friday 4th June 2015) and thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. Good wholesome food, well prepared and presented; excellent service at the table; and very reasonably priced. For a small off-the-street eating establishment - I would give Rumours and its wonderful polite and friendly staff a BIG 4 STAR RATING. Well done, Rumours.Father and Husband

Been in Rumours for food only once but it was really fresh and tasty. Very good - really enjoyed it and will be back. Can be a very busy little cafe, however that's due to the delicious food and relaxed atmosphere.

Attended a birthday party here and have to say the staff were very attentive and friendly and the atmosphere was good. Not sure how the food we had compares to the normal fare but what we had was good and well presented. I'd certainly be happy to go back and I'd very much recommend it for any private function, as they went to serious effort to make the evening go well for everyone.

Excellent place to eat with a great variety of food! We stayed for lunch and tea after being told they served alcohol! Staff really friendly especially Shauna and Eddie who supplied us with wasp swappers! Really clean too

Been here a few times for breakfast toasties etc and coffee. Tasty quality breakfast and a decent enough coffee. Clean tidy and friendly.

I would go here at least once a week and have always be happy. Friendly and clean food lovely. always busy.

Best coffee and - by far the best fruit scone I have had for a long time. A lovely place to have a leisurely snack in the open-air and right in the centre of Armagh too. Well worth a visit.

What a lovely clean establishment and very helpful staff all this adds up to a well run and value for money business. We only had 2 coffees and a homemade scone but this was more than enough to satisfy me that this is a good business and I will be in a hurry to return here again as I would like to try out the fry which I saw someone else have and it looked fab. Well done one and all.

We called in for a coffee on our way through Armagh. Such a friendly and welcoming place. We had tray bakes which were fresh and homemade. The place was very busy and the staff were so attentive and friendly to everyone.
