Rumbles in Lisburn

As always food was good and the driver is one I've had a few times who I think does a great job. Always has a smile on his face and is always nice.

had note left by staff which I found to be abit rude yes I am aware the place can be busy but I am sure I am not the only one requests a pacific time for there food and I not happy a note was left

the food was good and did the job but did forget our super sauce which was a shame

🍔 with pineapple and onions were the best so fresh as was the chips always great 👍

Christmas chip was lovely stuffing turkey ham cocktail sausages and the stuffing was sooooo nice .

We have the festive chip and it tasted so good. Recommend it 100%.

Poor , initially I thought the price of 18 quid was bad until I eat it , it wasn’t great by any means not a drop of moisture in the chicken soggy chips , sausage slung to the dog and remaining for the bin.

best food and best service. staff are so helpful and go above and beyond with deliveries.

Got it ordered tonight and was unreal! I honestly didn’t have high expectations but fair play. Me and my partner really enjoyed 😀

My order was a disgusting mess the sausages were hard and chewy the wrong sauce and the curry chip and gravy chips were flattened so bad they were not fit for consumption £45 pounds for nothing these people shouldn't get away with sending out deliveries in this state.

Hotdog bun was stale only way to put it, small chip was a handful of chips for over £3 which is ridiculous to say the least

Expect to pay more than what's advertised on the digital screen instore as they are all wrong by about 50p

we love rumbles but the only issue is the super sauce isnt consistant- please make it stronger and thicker 😁👍🏼

chips where under cooked burger was rotten and cold didnt ask did i want salt or vinegar or sauce on my burger or chips and when i told then i wanted sauce they said its already wrapped and gave me sachets of red sauce , rude !

I'm really sorry to say that this food was pretty much inedible with the most of it going in the bin. I think the best way to describe the fish and the chips was soggy and undercooked. We are repeat customers because your fish is always perfect but this was really not good at all

delivery was fast but food wasn’t great, hot dog was cold in the middle couldn’t eat it and asked in the restaurant notes for curry sauce not sweet chilli as there is no option for it in hot dips on menu but was just given sweet chilli. ok but for the price i’ll not order again

Was in last night. 9.45. Asked for cheese burger with onions. Told grill off we closing up at 10!!!!. 15 minutes!! Got chicken burger charged £4.90. Xtra 60p for dressing and portion onion rings. Saw on price board chicken burger was £4.35 on way out and it was no sooner in fryer and back out again. Got home which is 3 to 4 minutes away to find burger barely warm and onion rings better hard couldn't eat them. Obviously all thrown out was too late to go back. Meant to call in today to say to manager, as his staff on that night couldn't be quick enough to get me out. Very poor customer service have to say and nearly £8 down the drain.

Just had a delivery. Arrived within 20 minutes! Hot and lovely food. Couldn't have faulted it. Will order again.

Got order wrong BUT was fixed by the restaurant very quickly, male staff member who took the call regarding the wrong item was very pleasant and couldn’t have been more helpful.

Gravy was not nice at all....couldn't eat it

Asked for curry to be put in tub, put it onto the food, rang to ask for replacement and got an extremely rude person on the phone. Won’t be back after an awful experience, money wasted.

I was so excited to see Rumbles but I was left disappointed. Awful under cooked chips, over cooked sausages and wrong sauce on chips. Rumbles used to be the best chippy in the town, so disappointing. Hopefully just a blip.

my fish was burnt breadcrumbs were rock hard it wasn't let drip so was very creasy too, chicken looked liked it was done in microwave, yuk, daughter couldn't eat it, was very disappointed, chips too creasy, they need to been drained for a few seconds before put in packaging, the cooks need to be trained a bit more, just a suggestion, have to say gravy was the nicest part of it. (Teething problems,) I doubt I would order again as my stomach wasn't right after all the crease from the small bit I did eat. But service was quick, maybe try to put a few more minutes into the cooking and not the delivery, no point in havung a fast delivery if the food not great..

It was open until 10 pm and I was hungry. I just ordered a single plaice at £4.35. Took a while but that is fine. It is frozen,not fresh. Came very dark looking or else the oil was dirty. Not particularly tasty. Few chips with it were cold. I will not rush back. Staff were fine and there is a varied menu.

Food has been okay, however wouldn't be my first choice for chippys in Lisburn.

Vile staff and over cooked chicken burgers absolutely plastered as the staff just don't want to be there! Close the place down! Won't be back near it

I have been going to Rumbles for the past 15 years, and yes it probably is a bit more expensive than the others around but you only get what you pay for. I have never been disappointed by anything I have ordered, fresh ingredients and good quality meat. Steak burgers are a particular favourite of mine. Other chip shops in the area have come and gone but Rumbles has stood the test of time.

First time in ages, Service was fine, pleasant and quick. No lunch time offers! Would have been good to have grabbed me with one when I asked, but no spontaneous offer. Issue: Fish a little pricey but quaility was good and well cooked. Biggest issue was Medium Chip. A small chip from McDonald's would have had more in it, really poor show for a long established chippy. Could have done much better with this. Couldn't believe the really minimal amount, oringally thought the rest must have been wrapped in with the fish, nope. Can't say anything about the hygiene. Would love them to fix this, but heh not sure I would be back, might try further up the street and compare the difference.

Handy location and friendly, efficient staff. Deliveries are always prompt and delivered with a wonderful smile! I will definitely be using them again

Delivery price to dear Just phoned at 22.20 and asked for a delivery the girl said no they where closing in ten minutes it says they don't close to 11. Won't be phoning back in a hurry the diver must not have wanted to do anymore deliveries

This place is probably one the most popular choppy take always in Lisburn. Never got bad fast food just dropped a star becasuse it decor in the takeaway area...no seats, door ajar

Very disappointed website says closes at 11pm. Phoned at 10pm to place an order for collection at 10.30 to be told no! They close at 10.30!!! Is this a staff decision?? Or management?? Need to update the website as false representation!! Not happy a lot of people like myself and my colleague's sometimes depend on a guilty pleasure to keep us going when working all night!! But not getting it from here!! Wont be back!!!

There was a time when Rumbles was one of the best chippys in Lisburn but that was many many years ago. Today it's an awful dump that got a rating of 1 [terrible] out of 5 from the scores on the doors scheme. NB the other fast food outlets on the street all score 4/5 or 5/5. The 1/5 score is fully merited. The food is inedible, even by takeaway standards.

Thirty years ago Rumbles was perhaps among the best chippys in Lisburn and no doubt that strong reputation back in the eighties has ensured it has survived into the 21st century. My wife and I are, at best, very occasional fast food eaters these days but parked up in Longstone recently as there is a wide selection of fast food outlets to choose from. i made my way to one and my wife chose Rumbles. It was only as driving away that she noticed the 'scores on the doors' rating. For those not familiar 'scores on the doors' is a UK wide food hygiene scheme that rates food outlets from 1 [terrible] to 5 [excellent]. She remarked that it looked like they had a 1 rating but we couldn't be sure from the car park so we both dismissed it as surely not being right as neither of us have ever seen any food outlet rated less than a four. Indeed I made a note of the chicken fast food outlet nearby to Rumbles, which was rated 5 and reassured me that we must have been wrong. When we got home I tucked into my very enjoyable takeaway Pizza from one of the other vendors while my wife opened the wrap she had purchased from Rumbles. The very look of the wrap was awful but she took a bite nonetheless only for her fears to be confirmed as it was an inedible mass of grease. Needless to say she didn't continue with the sodden pulp of whatever was in the plastic box, not least because she had also been put off to an extent by her impressions of the hygiene of the premises as well. It was only then that I looked up and confirmed that Rumbles had indeed been rated terrible [1] by scores on the doors back in 2015, hence them sticking this rating high in a window virtually beneath the shutter where nobody can see it rather than on the front door as most outlets do. Understandable as they would surely do virtually no business at all if they put a sticker with a 1 rating on their front door withal their rivals in the street displaying 4 and 5 ratings, which I've since checked and they all do indeed have mostly 5 [excellent ratings]. I'm a little amazed this place is still trading if the Food Hygiene standards agency have been so disgusted by their standards. Certainly the quality of the food they serve is fully deserving of that 1 out of 5 rating. Sad as Rumbles was, as I said at the start, once one of the best chippys in Lisburn.

I asked the staff tonight for two super chips and two burgers you's only charged me for one super chip I'm ashamed and I won't be back in worst chip shop ever in lisburn

Had the hangover from hell and all I wanted was a full soda. Open up the box to find a deep fried soda. Was not 1 bit happy. If the soda is going to be done this way I would prefer to be told so I have a choice to go somewhere else. Definitely won't be back

Awful prices, £15 for two meals. Won't be ordering from here again, wouldn't even recommend it to my worst enemy.
