Rumbles in Forest Heath

Not good this time. Cod was over cooked and dry.

I live around the area and left 2016 back in the US. I have always compared fish and chips from this place to other places I have been to, even traveling north of England, Europe, and stateside. This place has the best fish and chips. If I have another chance to come back to Mildenhall , rumble fish would be my first stop to eat. I decided to write this review as my appreciation, and as I am eating fish n chips here in california, I always remember that rumble fish is still my number 1.

This was the worst fish and chips we have had in 45 years of living in England. The fish was tough and dripped with grease and the chips were tough could not even eat them. The meal tasted like it had been sitting under the heat since lunch. We will return to Lakenheath Fish n Chips for sure.

Nowhere,is any better for absolutely beautiful kebabs.Top quality.Very reasonably priced.Staff are very nice.xx

Chips were hard, not cooked enough, ordered large cod got 1 medium and a quarter of another cod.. had to wait 20 minutes for Cod to cook. Was very greasy. Won’t be coming back.

3 large cod and chips 2 large sausage and chips 5 cans pop just under £50 The chips are fantastic really fresh tasty and fluffy The cod was fried to order and everyone really enjoyed Kids said they loved the battered sausage. The guy serving was really pleasant We sat at small tables outside on a nice sunny day and we all enjoyed our chippy tea Highly recommend 👍👍

Best fish and chips in the town

Wow! Busy on arrival as they had an order for 45 fish and chips just as we arrived. Guaranteed the freshest fish as no way could it have been sitting there. Chose to eat in, expecting a box with a wooden fork- how wrong were we! Felt like only a few minutes before we were served up our beautiful meal with a china plate and real cutlery. Thank you for the best fish and chips in a long time! My hubby and I with our youngest(17) plus my dad were made to feel very welcome. 🥰

Absolutely love this place. We order online most of the time and when we turn up they start wrapping it so it doesnt sweat in the wrapping. The people are amazing and are always polite and friendly. The food is top notch most of the time. Sometimes hit and miss with the chicken burgers other than that there is no complaints.

Passing through Mildenhall to visit another shop, when we stopped for something to eat. Pleased to see they are open on a Sunday and the food was fresh, hot and cooked just right. The portions of chips were huge! Absolutely how fish & chips should be... lovely! Thank you Rumbles

Food was cold. Soggy chips and the fish smelt really bad. I have made a complaint to the chip shop. However, they were not inclined to receive any constructive criticism. Furthermore, I asked for salt and vinegar on all the food. I was evident they didn’t even add this. Terrible 😞

We was also a burger missing. They did apologise and said next time we order to say we were 1 missing and they will give us one free.

Arrived an hour after ordering, 5 minutes passed the later point of the delivery window. Missing the chips, phoned, offered a refund on the chips. Hung up the phone, started my meal, the kebab and garlic bread were already cold

No problems with ordering or delivery and the food tasted fine. I know it’s fast food but the chips were super greasy. So much so I had use a couple of sheets of kitchen roll to dab the excess off. I would order pizza again in the future.

Very poor chips worst in all years of purchase lovely fish and chicken nuggets chips dry , ordered at 4 ish on a Sunday 19 December , chips must have been cooked at 12noon.

This is the first time food has been late. On a previous occasion we waited over an hour.

Very tasty! Was a little late, but what do you expect on a Saturday eve, and if everyone is ordering from there too. Food was hot on delivery!

I love this place. Good people and good food.

Rubbish service. Calls me 15 minutes before arrival to say driver is almost there and it's a 10 minute walk. Get there to see from far he's given my order to someone else. So I've not been given my order and lost money. Couldn't even chase up the person who accidentally took my order.

Massive portions and great fish.

Rumbles had a review appeared from someone having rang up and ordered gluten free. So i called asked if they could do gluten free fish and chips. We was excited to find they did. What amazing, tasty, large fish. Cooked to perfection and no skin. The batter was so light and scrumptious. Chips perfect. Non greasy. Wow i was amazed how good this was. We travelled from soham and will do it all time now its our favorite place. Well done to rumbles for a great treat. You must try this fish bar as it friendly, clean and good prices with excellent food. See you again soon.

I think we just found out new favourite take away. Food was spot on. Arrived on time and hot. Only thing slightly disappointed was the chicken in the chicken fillet in nans bread was quite dry. Maybe add an option to add cheese and more sauce.

We always have the pensioner meal, because we are pensioners and it is more than sufficient. The staff are friendly, and as the chips are freshly cooked they are lovely, the fish is gorgeous too as it is cooked and the fat is allowed to drain away. I cannot stand greasy fish and chips.

We had just moved to the UK 6 months ago and wanted to try some local fish and chips. We had a very bad experience. We threw most of it away.

Wow! Wow! Wow! This place is absolutely amazing. The staff were very funny and enjoyable. The food was fresh and amazingly tasty. It was a great experience all around!

Best fish and chips in the area!! The piece of fish was huge and amazingly crisp on the outside and flavorful and flaky on the inside. We also got lamb doner which was a huge portion and so good! Highly recommend.

After waiting over an hour for delivery I called the shop and assured the order was on the way. Chips were hard and crunchy and parts of the order were incorrect. Immediately tried calling to get it rectified and I just got voicemail. Still awaiting response. Will not order again.

It did take a long time to deliver but food was all warm when it got here and it tastes good

Phoned up today to see if they did gluten free chips. They do yay, one happy gluten free 8 year old :). You need to phone to order them. I believe he also said they do gluten free fish some days too :). The staff were all lovely.

Good food friendly staff reasonable price

Top notch fish, top notch chicken, top notch service. Quit going to our old chippy after not realising they were closed one day and came here instead. Never looked back, an enjoyable visit every time with a fun and engaging owner to put a smile on many a miserable face! Says we are his favourites but I’m sure he has been cheating on us with other customers! 😅 Try these guys, they will not disappoint

Have ordered before and food has been ok Surprised to find some of it quite inedible, ie the chips seemed ‘old and chewy’ and the lamb donner meat dry and tasteless. Was a regular customer but after that meal sadly won’t be ordering again.

The food arrived over 30 minutes late. I rang to see where it was as no update was given. It was burned & inedible. I ordered online & was told I had to ring Just Eat to get a refund. The number given is only open Mon to Fri ..... this was Sunday evening! P.ease dont order food here

We usually absolutely love Rumbles but today we were quite disappointed! Food was 30 mins late despite pre ordering, and the chips and nuggets tasted quite undercooked, also the restaurants phone was not contactable at all seemed as though they’d left it off the hook for a while!

Food was ok except that every package was soaked with oily liquid that had leaked from the trays of chicken meat.

Amazing food. Delivered hot and on time freshly cooked. Best chip shop around.

My daughter and son in law insist we use rumbles when ever they are over. Always good service and value for money.

Food is good and they do battered chips which is the best. Sometimes chips can be bit greasy but other than that the fish was massive will defo be using again

Fish was totally burnt. No refund unless they can come back. Most of it crumbled. First time I complained in seven years. Totally awful. Awful customer care. All our orders go through just eat. So there a trail. Waste of money!

The chips are great, the burger as you’d expect from a chippy but the donner meat wasn’t great. The prices are good though and we would probably order again

Poor food cold and not enjoyable Ordered and had to wait a hour and 10 mins when time slot was 35-55 mins. Food was to be delivered by 21.55 didn’t arrive till 22.15. Had to chase own order up wasn’t contacted.

My coworker suggested this place for fish and chips. Decided to try them out. So far, great service, unbeatable prices compared to places in Bury, and I definitely suggest for others to try if they enjoy a good battered fish fry.

Food was early but was stone cold was actually horrible! Rumbles your so hit and miss!

After waiting nearly an hour and half for food It turned up, cold, no sauce or salad on the things we asked for. Never normally complain but tonight’s food was dreadful! Meat on the kebabs was tuff and chewy. Not pleasant

Pizza was really good, far better than most leading pizza chains. 16" is huge for the price (£11.99), with decent helping of cheese as well. Great job!

Ordered for collection at 6:30pm, food wasn't ready until 6:45pm.

20 mins late but that was on top of the 1 and a half hours we had been told it would be there. So it was almost 2 hours after we had ordered it. This is after our last order was 2 and a half hours after we ordered it very disappointing

Really enjoyed our food, pizza tasted good and chips and onion rings were nice too! Delivery was also on time!
