Always good food and staff that are friendly and helpful

Havebeen past it before and always thought it was a pub. Went in and was very much surprised. Hubby had the steak pie where the meat melted in your mouth. I had lunch special which comprised of chicken. Lots of vegetables and potatoes. Could not believe the price it really was so cheap. Will be back again when I am in Omagh.

Got the curry, was very bland and no flavour. No a la carte menu on a Sunday evening, if you don’t fancy a Sunday dinner in the evening limited options. Cocktail was nice though

We had stayed in the Silverbirches hotel for two nights and couldn’t stay an extra night so booked The Rue Main Street. The room was basic standard paid £126 with continental breakfast left out side your door in the morning on reflection think it should of been £85 over priced. That same evening we had booked a table for 21 people at 6pm on booking the week before we were informed that we would only have the table for two hours which was fine as that’s normal in restaurants nowadays. All our guests arrived on time menus were on the table with in minutes this man approached the table in a very abrupt manner and said I’ll be back in five minutes to take you order and you only have the table for two hours. I was told that this gentleman was the manager and son in law of the owner, I feel his approach was unprofessional and feel he could do with a customer care skills course. The only saving was the food was lovely but rushed a bit like a fast food outlet.

Family meal for 8. Food was good and service excellent. Good variety and portion sizes wont leave you hungry! Would recommend for both small and big groups . Best to book.

My son and I came back here for the second time this Friday evening for dinner and it didn’t disappoint the food was lovely I particularly recommend the pizzas but I had lasagne last time and it was absolutely lovely, the staff are great very attentive and friendly the atmosphere is very nice which is the time as last time and the seating very comfortable couldn’t find fault anywhere can’t understand the negative reviews. It’s very reasonably priced also. 10/10 would recommend

Went to Rue on weekend with my family for dinner. We are so disappointed. Food wasn't great and main thing was the portion, got curry and I only got abt 5tbsp of curry and few chips for £14 - such a disgrace, kids portion r bigger than what we got and taste.... was like a curry for a £ 5 from chip shop. We will never go back.

Call in all the time this visit wasn't at all good people getting served infrount of us walking in even of the street was ready to walk out when I asked one of the staff any chance of getting service at our table staff standing around talking to each other even know our staff go in regulars getting served before us will proberly be looking for somewhere new to eat and spend our money

Very good food and friendly staff

My self and 3friends had a lovely meal in Rue last night Friday the staff were amazing making sure we had everything thing we want . The only downfall was not being able to buy drink separately as one of us didn't drink and another only took one drink which left the meal more expensive for the nondrinker my friends were not to happy about that rule .

Nice restaurant for quality food, drinks, and desserts. It’s a splendid place for meeting people and they have tables and seating that accommodates larger groups. The staff are friendly and the food was good. Some actually speak fluent French and other languages. Nice touch when the name of the place means “Street” in French. And, the word on the street is that it’s a quality place. We stopped in for an afternoon bite and coffee. The food was gourmet, but a wee bit daor. Overall, nice atmosphere and ambiance.

Really great food, really good wait staff, but very rude management and had four people walk past when I went to pay. Patrons that were known by the staff member in the black shirt were taken before me although I had been waiting for 5 minutes. When I brought this to the attention of the man in the black shirt, he was rude, haughty and said sarcastically that he would put a sign up. Very annoying that an establishment that is so well regarded think they can treat people like this. The man who finally did let us pay after being rude did not have any manners and did not say please or thank you. Sad that I won’t be going back to a place I have went to for over 10 years. You can become too big for your boots.

The food is very satisfying and tasty, and the service is excellent had a meal after work yesterday and then went next-door to Ostlers bar for a couple of drinks and to watch the football on TV. 😄 🍺

Probably the best place to have a proper meal in Central Omagh good choice and attentive and professional service.

The barman was very rude and unwilling to do his job. There was member of staff running around doing everything whilst another 2 just stood around doing nothing. The children's meals were generous proportions and tasty but the soup was small and tasteless.

Excellent food and service and the property it's self is fantastic.. would definitely visit again.. the food was not over priced and the staff were very attentive and friendly. Just off Omagh main Street if your looking for somewhere to eat in Omagh then I would definitely recommend Rue, if your experience is anything like ours you will not be disappointed.

Extremely shocking to say the least, for such a well established business in the heart of Omagh Town!! We went for food (me and 4 others) on a Saturday night booked for 8:30pm as it was the only times they had left. My mother made the reservation and had mentioned that she was physically disabled. When we got there we were told to wait outside for a table to become free so we did, got some drinks while we waited too. Waited around 20 minutes or so before I went in and saw there were multiple tables free! I then asked one of the waiters if we could have a table after standing around like a lost puppy waiting to be seen to. After a couple of minutes of awkward silence from this waiter he pointed around his shoulder to the first table he seen and said there have that table which was a table under a speaker playing extremely loud music, I then had to ask to swap a chair for my mother! We then ordered our food which all came out at different times which was another thing to add to the dissatisfaction. One thing I can praise is the chef for the quality of the food; it was delicious so I can't really fault the chef atall. Whilst eating our food we noticed a waiter watching us, waiting to clear the table, 3 times he came and watched and waited for us to finish even though we clearly were not finished. When I asked for the bill I was giving it in a rush with no respect whatsoever, the waiter literally gave me the bill unfolded facing up on the table and once placed on the table he proceeded to draw a circle around the amount and aggressively stab his pen into the receipt with the word "there you go". Have to say at the least we were all extremely unhappy with the service we were provided! And I would not recommend anyone or even think to suggest it as somewhere to eat out in Omagh!!!

Clean and good food and friendly.

Four of us on a family holiday in Omagh had 2 superb evening meals, served by exceptionally friendly staff and great value for money too in relaxing surroundings.

The best meal we have had in a very long time. Portions were massive and staff were extremely helpful 👏

Went in for a meal the other evening- the food was first class as were the staff and the service was quick. The decor of the place is also beautiful and well thought out- will definitely be back!

Always good,but they don't have a fruit tea...

Just back from a two nights break with my Mum, two course dinner each night was included. As soon as we walked through the door we had a warm welcome and two very helpful members of staff took our cases for us, which was much appreciated. The rooms are immaculate, spotlessly clean and very comfortable, bathroom was spacious with lovely toiletries. Restaurant was equally brilliant, food was delicious and all the staff were very friendly and helpful, would definitely recommend this lovely hotel, very handy for the town for shopping etc. Many thanks to everyone for a lovely stay.

Birthday celebration meal for 25 people in the upstairs room. Perfect setting for a small private party. Food and service was excellent throughout the evening. Thank you to all in Rue for making this a great evening. Highly recommend.

Lovely place for a coffee, meal or a beer. It's located in the middle of Omagh and ideal if you're meeting for a chat, taking a break from shopping or heading out for a few drinks. The food is very good and there's usually a lunch special on offer. The staff are friendly and service is efficient. It's got the option of outside seating and a lift for disabled access to upstairs.

Rue bar and restaurant has good food, friendly staff and lovely surroundings, we enjoy our visits here.

Food has got alot better since the last time I was there which was a good few years ago ! Friendly staff and good service

Called in for a drink on the way home. Staff were lovely however was made to feel very uncomfortable by one customer referring to me as an orange bastard. It would appear that this venue and some of its clientèle would prefer only one section of the community to visit. Other customers didn't react to this mouthpiece. I don't very much the good people of omagh would like this however I shall not return.

1st class service amd great food☝

Couldn't get over the friendliness of the staff, genuinely interested. Served by two different young men and a young blonde girl who were so welcoming and professionall. They were over busy the evening we were there but kept smiling Could have done with someone to take the pressure off them but they gallantly and cheerily coped. I had the two courses for £13 special cos I longed for a normal dinner after eating everything else for the early days of our break. My wife had the homemade burger. Both dishes were excellent in their simplicity and quite perfect in flavour and in quality of presentation, aided in no small manner by the aforementioned charming staff. Top marks. Couldn't fault our experience except we waited a while for the bill but only because there were cupla large parties in and they could've done with more help for that peak period. But topnotch. Will return next time in NI. Thanks again

Waited 15mins after being brought to our table (which we had booked) before eventually catching a member of staff on the way past - we had to ask for menus then ask if someone would take a drinks order. Small starters mostly priced at £6.95. Food was ok but very long wait and every time we wanted another drink we had to wait to catch a staff member walking past as with covid we weren’t allowed to go to the bar ourselves; not once were we asked if we wanted/needed anything. Can’t blame that it was busy as the five tables around us were empty. Brought out food & drinks without clearing table so everything was piled on yet they still didn’t clear it (even though we gathered plates ourselves and set them at the end of the table!) Didn’t dare ask for dessert as we’d probably have been eating it with dinner plates still sitting! Lots of staff walking about but no1 seemed to want to look at tables in case they actually had to do something. Will definitely not be back. Poorest service we have received anywhere and we eat out every Sunday in different places. Need to teach their staff to gauge when more drinks may be needed and to clear tables when they are clearly finished eating.

The food was lovely and the staff where very friendly

Had lunch today, easy parking across street, haven’t been since done up but lovely decor inside. Was quiet at 12.30, but filled up before we left. Plenty of staff. Had a beef dinner and turkey and ham dinner. Served piping hot steam still coming off it, 4 slices of thin beef, Yorkshire pud, roastie, mash and mixed veg was mine. No wastage cleared my plate. Turkey came with stuffing not Yorkshire pud. Both delicious though veg slightly undercooked if one wanted to be picky. Overall thoroughly delicious, at 12.95 a pop well worth it, too full for dessert but they looked good. Lovely blonde waitress served us. Will be back

Wow!! Food over priced and not great quality, I had the skewer (yes one) for a whole 18.75£ I think it was you could argue it had beef pork and chicken on but maybe two slices of each is a big no no, crazy prices...

I ordered the quinoa & kale salad with chicken but had to send it back when it came with almonds (the person I was with ordered it for me and neglected to ask them to remove the almonds, I’m allergic) so I had to send it back. To their credit a new salad came back out fairly quick without the almonds. Unfortunately it also had no dressing and no kale. It was made with butter lettuce, which is way cheaper than kale. I’ll admit a mistake was made when my partner left the almonds on but that doesn’t excuse the substitution of lettuce. The server Colin was not very welcoming either. I wish we chose somewhere else to eat. A waste of money & time.

The only reason we stopped here today was that we wanted to eat in the shade , unfortunately for us there where no seats available at the time in the shade so we went in and got a table at the window (16) we ordered...

Very accommodating to vegetarians, I personally had the carbonara tagliatelle but asked if it was possible for it to be vegetarian. They were more than willing and very kind. Hands down the best carbonara tagliatelle I've had in a long, long time.

Visited rue with the wife and baby, I ordered the beef curry and the wife had salmon with cabbage and bacon mash. The beef curry was absolutely delicious and the salmon equally so, baby had soup and spuds which was top fair as well. Drink...

Food very expensive(very small portions), accomondation expensive compared to service and room. Staff extremly unprofessional, some with very bad english (sorry we living in UK), avoid this place,is all about to rip you off!!!!

I had the Roast Beef dinner, so delicious,every mouthful, one of the best Sunday dinners I have had in a restaurant for a long time,staff lovely. My friend had a jacket pototoe with various toppings,she really enjoyed it, thank you all at the 'Rue'

This is our third visit and again we weren't disappointed. Once the staff on reception found out it was our wedding anniversary, they upgraded us to a lovely room and welcomed us with a bottle of prosecco and refunded our breakfast for the second morning....
