Ruchi Spice PFC in Islington

Used this place for years. Always a reasonably priced option with half decent food. It’s had a gaudy makeover. Like a PoundShop Vegas. I mean, that’s okay ish. I had a main, a rice, a side and a beer. Pretty standard, yeah? Not when they charge you £40 for that! When questioned, I got a load of crap from the staff. ‘Overheads’ and all that piffle. Will certainly not be going back again. By the way, it was completely empty. Small wonder, they’ve completely forgotten what they are and should be.

Lovely family run business with great food

Este es nuestro restaurante indio local que utilizamos tanto para llevar como para comer. Tiene un ambiente tradicional que me gusta mucho. La comida es excelente. Todos los platos tienen una cantidad decente de ingredientes principales y no solo unos pocos pedazos nadando en salsas. El staff es muy amigable.

The standard was rather poor from early days. The service was good but the food was cooked quickly and rushed to the table. Overall I would say needs big revamp of the menu.

I've been going here for years & the food is always fresh & hot & arrives quickly. It's not oily either which is good for taste as well as cholesterol levels. I've tried a fair few dishes over the years & never had a dud. I especially like the lamb biriani, the Tandoori king prawns & the okra side dish. The best Indian in the area for my money.
