Expected food to be value for money but it was not. Chicken fried rice basic, chips looked over cooked and £3.70 for two Cantonese spring rolls, the size of my index finger and as thick was ridiculous. Not ordering from there again.!! Had better else where.!!

After using this takeaway for many years and spending a lot of money weekly last night 23rd Feb my order was 2 hours late after constantly being lied to by the lady on the phone that it was 5 mins away i dared to complain. I told them if the food arrived cold then I would not be happy well the food did arrive cold and after tying to ring them for another hour the food went on the bin. When I finally got through I was told by the obnoxious rude manager that he would refund me but he never wants to hear from me again and suspended my account on food hub. I would like to say to the manager you need to remember it’s your customers that keep you in business and why is it my fault that you messed u with the order and sent it cold 2 hours late. My friends and family use this place weekly but will never be using it again. So my suggested to you is learn some customer service skills before you go out of business because you are rude beyond belief and will never have my money or my friends and families money again!!!

do not eat/order from ruby Chinese erdington. Found a live caterpillar in the salt and pepper chicken. Called the shop, they shouted abuse at us on the phone, told us they can’t refund all of our order & only the salt and pepper chicken. We asked for advice on what we should do and they said there’s nothing we can do unless you bring the food back. We told them we would put them on Facebook and they said they will take us to court. We sent photos to there email, they turned around and said they don’t believe it’s from their shop. Absolutely disgusting customer service.

The ordering process for a delivered meal is ridiculous. I have used this take away for many years BUT never again. Ask for information from staff - he couldn't give a dam. Terrible!

We have used ruby many times but this time they sent the wrong food and blamed us very rude girl on telephone finally got her to admit her mistake and replace the incorrect food but by the time it arrived the rest of the food was cold so food when in the bin as I don’t like microwave food don’t waste your money

I have been visiting this takeaway since 2006. That’s a long time. They have one chef who takes the orders and does the cooking same time. His food quality, taste the aroma is 2nd to none. Last couple of years he had started to take a few days off. Another lady chef takes his place, the food taste is no where near enough the same. I’m fact it’s a complete disaster, the Fish soup with coriander is a different colour, the taste is nothing what i have been used to. So best way forward is I always ask if they have their regular chef in place, if so it’s all good. If not .. local kebab house will do.

Hubby and I have used Ruby for years, we love it. Food is always hot and tasty, great customer service and best of all I never have to wait too long! Favourite dishes, salt and pepper squid, special foo yung, nasi goreng...

Have used this Chinese restaurant ( that delivers!) for over 15 years ,food is always of the highest standard , but I had to call them tonight ... as the food was off the scale delicious , surpassing there already high standards! OUTSTANDING, thank you, kind regards Debbie and Eric

I have used Ruby's over the years and have always found the standard good! Although the takeaway is small it's possible to park any evening near it! Always had quick service.

BEST CHINESE IN ERDINGTON BY FAR! GREAT FOR VEGETARIANS! SUPERIOR QUALITY & GOOD PRICE. My new regular Cantonese take away! Every dish was prepared and presented with care and love. A healthier option as nothing is loaded with oil or salt. The crispy duck pancakes were presented beautifully, with plenty of wraps &veg to go with it. The plain chow mein was delicate, fresh, colorful with plenty of bright, crisp veg. Not greasy at all or swimming in soy sauce and oil like it usually is from inferior places. I also ordered a tofu & Pak choi soup which was light, fresh and tasty. Not feeling severely dehydrated after, either :)

Ordered 2 separate dishes & disappointed that one of the meals arrived without the rice that the menu states is automatically included.. Although, the manager apologised by highlighting it as human error, he remained reluctant to accept this has impacted on the meal/evening that had been specifically ordered for a diabetic who requires regulated meals. However, it was stated the only option offered is having the remaining part of the order sent out - based on the surrounding circumstances I feel a kind gesture, such as prawn crackers or bottle of pop could have been included.. After all that the appetite was ruined & food was left. i feel the quality of food has changed dramatically from how it used to be. This includes, the poor quality/shocking delivery of customer service.

Iv used this Chinese for many many years, it’s the best Chinese in erdington and I’d rather go without than go anywhere else!! Lovely owners and staff, nothing is to much trouble, portions are excellent, food is excellent, always delivered hot and quickly and with a smile!

Good food. Good portions. Good service. Good Prices. Helpful friendly staff. Generous portions. No need to go to the others nearby - as this is the best in Erdington.

Food consistently good, reliable quick delivery, reasonably priced food. Have used on many occasions and never any complaints re the quality of the food.

The food is always Good, admittedly they do occational forget items in your take away but always apologise and either deliver or refund. Can't fault them.

I was surprised that the price of this establishment had increased since the last time I was there, but hey the quality is still good and I like their egg fried rice, they deliver within a radius for free
