Royal Pizza in County Durham

Much better now, usually get pizza, parmo or chicken kebab, always good and delivered on time, definitely one of best in town 👍

When we used Royal last year it was the best, thought we would try the first week of opening and it was such a let down. Chips were just cheap frozen reheated, parmo tasted of fat, they forgot the salad and sauces....husband was ill through the night possibly off the kebab and burger. Definitely won't use again!

Been a few years since my last visit and they've still got it. The food was good, not 5 star fine dining but for a takeaway probably one of the best in the town.

Last time I will be going here, everytime kebab stone cold as its been sat in container then mixed with luke warm meat, texture like rubber, even the dogs wouldn't eat it and the grease that comes off it is horrendous, Definitely won't be ordering again.

BEST BURGER AND KEBAB MEAT I HAVE EVER TASTED . THE ONLY THING I WOULD CRITISIZE IS THE SMALL AMMOUNT OF CHIPS YOU GET BUT APART FROM THAT AMAZING . STRONGLY RECCOMEND !!

Order the Burritos and chips extremely tasty, nice that it came early as I was ravenous, if there was one minor fault with the order it was the salad just cucumber, tomato and lettuce, a nice chilli & a bit of lemon would have it complete.

Food was 25 mins late and nearly cold, the chips had been fried in old oil and was a waste of 20 odd quid, wont use again or reccomend

Absolutely disgusted at the foul kids outside blocking the door way and in and out of the shop the poor lass serving did tell them quite intimidating as lots of them

so firstly i notice cross contamination, using the same cutter for a meat pizza and a vegetarian pizza, which couldve potentially caused an allergic reaction for me.. secondly “thin crust” apparently is no different to a regular crust, which is extremely disappointing. don’t offer something you cant serve. the food was ready on time and the service was quick and easy but the food itself was really a disappointment.

Wouldnt have been to bad if they delived it hot or atleast a little warm!

ordered a pizza deal at around 7pm. delivery estimation was set at 19:55. at 20 past 8 we checked the just eat app to see if had left for delivery and it had updated itself to 20:25 delivery estimation. it's now 9:15 pm and our food still hasn't arrived. we are absolutely starving, the curtains have started to look like Donner kebab meat and we had a magnum in the freezer ready to eat for desert we've now resorted in having to eat prior to the meal because we're that hungry. We're becoming slowly delusional and partially blind with hunger. this is ridiculous.

I called when the food was 10 minutes later than the time the restaurant confirmed. I was greeted with a clever comment about it being Christmas Eve. I understand that which is why I left it an extra 10 minutes, to call after a time THEY confirmed. Food was good but customer service was very poor.

I asked for peparoni and I got peparoni onion and pepper so I sat for 20 minutes picking the pepper and onion off before I could eat it

I accidentally missed a garlic dip from my order. Called to add it on & the woman on the phone was very polite. She assured me it would be added on. An hour later my food turns up. A cold stodgy brick of a pizza, a charred unappetising burger and the worlds greasiest parmo. Low and behold no garlic dip. The driver even had the cheek to try & change the delivery price. Sticking an extra quid on for himself per delivery probably makes him a tidy profit 😡

Food was nice but I had to call the driver back as he forgot a Pizza. After he left, I noticed we were missing the bottle of Coke.

Got to say it's got to be the worst takeaway on the town... Ordered a chicken and donner kebab and it came in a wrap with a box of lettuce... no cucumber, onion or cabbage etc... just lettuce... no taste, very bland. Limited cheese on there pizzas... It might of been late the delivery order but it's no excuse. Wish I wasn't lazy and went to the town.

Pizza was colder side of OK. Side order of chips £1.40! For just about a handful. They need to reduce the price or increase the amount. Don't think I'll bother next time..

Best pizzas around at the moment not had a bad one yet.

Pizza dough was sooo unfresh and hard , ordered deep pan but got thin crust, burger bun was hard to chew. Really disappointed by the food and Was dead cold when reached us.

It was to expensive. I paid nearly £15 just on a 12 inch Pizza some cheesy chips and a bottle of coke. The pizza was a little undercooked for me . It was good but won't be going there again

ordered at 7.58pm. time to deliver was 9.10pm, arrived at 9.40pm. I phoned at 9.25pm because the app said the food had already been delivered to be told it had left about 20 minutes ago so add on another 15 minutes and the food left 35 minutes before it arrived to me. pizza was barely warm but my son was starving so blasted it in the microwave. chips not edible. used this restaurant several times before with no problem but tonight was quite a let down.

Pizzas are ok but doner meat is a bit dry.

When food arrived it wasn't what we were expecting ordered a naan salad it wasn't a naan bread it was a pitta bread and the salad consisted of a pile of dry lettuce and way too much onions I will not be ordering again

Currently waiting for my food which should have been delivered at 7.10pm restaurant updated to 7.40pm having phoned the restaurant at 7.45 I was told it was on the next run should be 10mins it's now 8.15pm and I've been told the driver has just got back after getting lost at his last delivery be with me in 10mins... we shall see :-/ I ordered my food not long after 6pm - food arrived at 8.25 and yes it's nice, the small request I made hasn't been acknowledged and the driver just told us hes been sitting for 20 mins because the chefs dropped one of our parmos 😂 well that's the last time we order from here and all because of the lack of honesty!

food arrived late and cold, I paid extra for extra toppings and the toppings didn't even turn up on the pizza, not happy at all.

very disappointed in tonight’s order, the kebab was dripping with grease as was the wrap, the pizza was like rubber and the chips were soggy and you could tell had been reheated. I contacted the shop directly just to be told they’d look into it, no offer of a partial refund or a voucher etc. won’t be ordering there again which is a shame as we have ordered from there every Friday for months now. they have lost a customer now due to handling my complaint poorly

Food not grate was dispointing

frustrating when we leave a comment but no one reads it so you get things you didn’t want. for instance I had salad I didn’t want in my roll and I asked for just a plain garlic bread but got a cheesy one.

The pizza bases were the wrong way round and they were smothered with tomatoes (which we never asked for) they were all you could taste. Very poor quality and not what I expected for the first time of ordering. My pepperoni pizza had 5 pieces of pepperoni. Both pizzas were only lightly cooked leaving the base in the middle still doughy.

food was not delivered by 11pm when I needed to leave to collect my daughter. Pleased arrange an immediate refund!

Not happy with my service tonight ordered thought here tonight used to use this takeaway a lot till tonight ordered a 16" bolognaise pizza for me and the missus and daughter to get a phone call saying they didn't have any bolognaise available to that end we ordered something different got no money back for this event not only that I understand the takeaways can be busy but not to have to wait 1.5 hours for delivery not happy and unfortunately the owner is the nicest man ever and is very polite but I won't be ordering from them anymore due to this as it's the 5th time this has happened to us!
