Good ambience, really friendly staff and very attentive, food was excellent, one thing I want to specially point out is the quick service.

Firstly let me say that I have never felt inclined to write a bad review until now. The young man that served us was delightful and can't fault him. They served me a starter of chicken. Not the veggie one.,which I kept as I'm not vegetarian and it was very nice. Our main course was tasteless, sloppy and I'm sure it hadn't been prepared by a professional chef.The garlic nan was tasteless we couldn't even taste any garlic on it. Paid the bill. Left a tip as service was brilliant. No atmosphere as only us in and.it was Friday. Maybe a one off but felt ripped off.

Never had a bad meal from here. The food is delicious and I’m not a massive curry girl.

We went to royal Bahaar just to try out the food and it was better than expected the food was amazing and the service was really good. The food was served in amazing plates.

Lovely tasting food, great service, good delivery timing and nice and hot too.

We had a delivery. The ordering process was easy. They give you a expected time of delivery however the food came nearly 10 mins earlier than expected. The food was very hot and tastes amazing. The service was brilliant from the driver, he was very polite when he came to the door. Would highly recommend ordering from here.

Recently visited the food was very nice quality and the restaurant was nice inside. They do have soft drinks and alcoholic available if you wish to. Staff were very friendly. Back again

food was delicious and hot. we had 1 lamb dopiaza and 1 chicken bhuna plus peshawar nan, everything was delicious and shall definitely order from here again.

Good service, arrived sooner than expected. Curry was nice but a little on the sweet side, almost too sweet. Naan bread was nice also. I ordered 2 of each dips I like as i remembered they weren’t exactly generous last time I ordered and I’m glad I did because they are still quite stingy with condiments. Overall a tasty meal and will order again..

Not sure what has changed in the recipe but didn't enjoy it at all. So sorry.

We went last night as its under new management and we wanted to try the food. OMG it was amazing. The quality and presentation of the food was top quality. The staff are friendly and helpful, we had a wonderful meal, 2 starters and two mains, and we couldn't fault anything. I would highly recommend you visit this place, you won't be disappointed. We will definitely be going again. It was awesome.

I'm actually annoyed to have to write this, as we have ordered a few times from here and the food has been amazing, to the point I recommended them to family and friends, I'm a really fussy eater, so it says alot for me to recommend somewhere.. However, I placed an order on 19th April to receive a phone call immediately to say they had not opened due to an issue and said that I would get a refund as they had not accepted the order. The amount was showing as pending for 3 days and then was taken from my account. I sent a message through their website, a week later and no response, I emailed them and no response. I called them 2 days after to advise of the above and to be offered the food again.. and some freebies thrown in.. and that they had a new menu. We decided to have the food again, to be then told we had to pay £6 for a starter and side.. which were the only other things we added on extra (no freebie was given not even a poppadom). The food wasn't the best either, I requested a mushroom madras and I ended up with a vegetable curry. Not impressed with the service or the food sadly and won't be ordering or recommending again.

This was our first visit but it definetely won't be the last. The food is superb. I had Fish Pakora for starters which was deliciously tasty. Following this, I had Chicken Tikka Pasanda. The blend of coconut, almonds, pistachio and cashew nuts was just right, with spices that didn't over shadow the taste. The pilau rice was cooked to perfection with added extra. The pic is of the lamb bhuna which was equally delicious with tender pieces of lamb. Spiced up just enough, not overwhelming to hide the taste. We had excellent attentitive service at a lovely laid out table. All in all, a great dining experience at this little gem.

Decided to try a takeaway from here, as we have previously had a nice meal in the restaraunt. Ordered a takeaway for collection. Food took approx 25 mins as it had said it would, and was ready straight away for us when we went to collect. The food was really lovely, and one of the nicest currys I've had. Would definately recommend 😊👍

arrived late, no answer when you call. used to be our go to indian, most of it was burnt, curries and sauce all leaked in the bag, tikka masala used to be our favourite, tastes nothing like a masala anymore definatley a different chef, nan breads not edible all thick black underneath, chicken burnt, rice tasted horrible, onion bhaji too spicy, poppadoms tasted strange like oily. wont be ordering again. spoilt it for themselves. waste of money.

Four of us went for a meal last night, what a great little place. We booked online and had a confirmation within the hour to confirm the table, they also called just to confirm as well. We were greeting by a pleasant your gentlemen who showed us to our table. Brought the menus and advised us of the drink’s menu. (They have just been licenced to sell alcohol) Cobra, bottled wines, beers and spirits. The restaurant had a nice ambience to it. Nice and warm, music playing at the right volume. Our starters came and we were not disappointed, we had off the menu and a couple of picky eaters with us and they accommodated them perfectly with nothing being too much trouble. One also asked for an item not on the menu, which they kindly made and hope it makes to the new menu that’s coming soon…. The mains were absolutely delicious. A shout out to the chicken tikka masala is the best we have had for many a year. It looked and the tasted amazing. (Trust us we have eaten in many of the area’s curry houses). We also enjoyed the quirky plates. The chef came out and asked for our honest opinion, which we found very nice as it gave a change to give him feedback. For new owners and staff, they couldn’t do enough for us and the food, well, you must go and try it for yourselves. Can’t wait to go back for another yummy meal.

IT IS UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT We went to try as the couple we went with had had a takeaway from there and they were very impressed We seated straight away, we order drinks ,looked at the menu and we ordered The food was well presented and it was absolutely lovely, could not fault it Unlike before the have drinks licence , The staff were professional ,will be going back

Second time I’ve tried to order from here 1st time turned up 4 hours late and now not at all !!! Joke

So one of the worst meals iv had. I waited for 2 hours to receive a meal that was not worth the wait. The curry tastes like it was made from a jar it certainly wasn't Chicken Tikka Massala, it was brown not red didn't have any coconut in it or if it did I couldn't tell it just tasted like a salty mess. The nan wasn't much better. The only thing I ate was the samosas which again tasted like store bought. The onion chuckney was a bag of chopped onion which made my eyes water . Tbh I could have made a better meal myself. I approached the restaurant for a partial refund and was refused. So £25+ down and an empty tummy.

Always good and arrives hot everytime

Not like my usual dhansak I have from here. Not much taste. Doesn’t take sweet and sour. And don’t usually have chickpeas in when ordering. But tonight they did. The curry wasn’t horrible but not something I’d order again.

Everything was over seasoned and over salted. I could barely make it a mouthful without having to take a drink. I normally love ordering here, it's never missed. But today was borderline disgusting. The cherry on top was that the sauce lid wasn't closed properly and had leaked all of the place. I know you guys can do better but tonight I was severely disappointed

Amazing meal would definitely order again

Food was lovely, curries really tasty. A little more spicy than expected but still enjoyable. The dips are nice but the portions are small and only one comes with the meal deal so I ordered extra. Fish pakoras were bland but onion bhajees were nice.

Royal Bahaar is our usual favourite. However, today we noticed there is an additional £4.5 for delivery. Bit too much really. We ordered Dhansak, Lamb but the pineapple was not cut, served in the dish as a pineapple ring! Quite average this time. disappointed for us as the loyal customer

absolutely outstanding food the stuffed pepper is most defiantly a must. the portions are large and taste so good still one of the best Indians in stoke area.

Food took nearly 2 hours to be delivered with phone lines "busy" all the time When we did get a answer we were told 4 to 5 mins more like 45 mins . All food was Lukewarm at best and 1 dip provided with poppadoms . I ordered a Madras and a Chicken Tikka Massala came i didn't even bother eating it . If we didn't pay cash i would of asked for a refund. Possibly the worst takeaway I've ever had .

I ordered from this restaurant and waited over an hour. I could not get in touch with the restaurant as there phones appeared to be forever busy. My order was 40 minutes late to be told there was technical difficulty and my order was not accepted when I placed it. They cancelled my order and I did not receive my order. Customer service was terrible and I will not be ordering from this restaurant again.

Under new management, with a change of approach ie heating turned on and didn’t overcharge! Food is decent and very tasty, service was good and didn’t wait very long for food! All very good and reasonable prices… fancy an easy tasty meal, try here 👍

When they first opened was amazing My last order wasn't great, however, thought that I would give them another try, as it has been a while since I last ordered Ordered chicken ceylon , which I have had several times previously from here. Supposed to be a hot curry with coconut and lemon There was 'no taste or flavour' whatsoever, just a coconut paste, not even a sauce/ gravy? The blandest 'none curry' that I have ever had, and nothing like when I have ordered previously? The 'fries' were mainly fat chips oozing in oil? Very disappointing Like to support local businesses wherever possible, however, this was appalling and will not order again

Ordered on ubber eats I live in kidsgrove so other end of the city and even tho didn't meet the delivery estimated time I didn't care because it was warm it was excellent quality and very good value for money I can honestly say it was the best takeaway IV had in ages credit were it's due

Never again ordered from just eat over an hour late, they should not accept orders they cannot cope with, tarka daal was just water will never use again. Tried to phone, but phone on answer phone so they take orders they know they cannot cover robbers.

After having a meal delivered a few weeks ago which we thoroughly enjoyed thought we'd give them another go big mistake. Lamb curry was awful watery tasteless on the plate it had a film on top. The poppadoms were without doubt the worst I've ever had flopped about like Hugh grants hair very disappointing. The lamb bhuna massala was very salty, never get how some places can be so inconsistent.

Great service from all of the staff food was excellent and value for money would definitely recommend and we will be going back soon

What a hidden gem !! Visited tonight for the first time and we are so glad we did The food is amazing and the service first class We had the set menu and you can have any starter , main and side from the entire menu We had the shami kebab and chilli paneer starter and for main we had the chicken tikka chilli masala and I had a Moza chicken ( absolutely yummy ) mushroom rice and the most gorgeous garlic coriander naan I have ever had Hassan and the team were so friendly and attentive and went the extra mile with their customer service We will definitely be back and will be spreading the word of what an amazing place this is

I didnt enjoy the food the lamb was overcooked and the curry overly sweet. There wasnt much meat in the curry.

I had a takeaway tonight for the time from the Restaurant and it was amazing full of taste and Hasam was very helpful as I wasn't sure what to have I will definitely have more recommend them

Wouldn’t bother using the ‘delivery time’ function when ordering on their website. It’s been over an hour since the time we chose and still no sign of our food. Rang the restaurant who said ‘your food is ready we’re just waiting for a driver’ brilliant so it’s sat going cold. Couldn’t even give me an estimated time for when it would arrive. Wont be ordering from here again. Which is a shame because the food was nice when we ordered previously but the service is terrible.

We don't mind this as the chef can concentrate on our food rather than anyone elses, apart from takeaways of course. I had the Tandoori Bhuna as main. The sauce was very nice and the keema ball was good as was the chicken tikka but the lamb tikka did not melt in the mouth and was rather gristly and chewy. If I visit again I might avoid having lamb!!!! My partner had Khazana from the old favourites list as main. This is a veggie dish with spinach and mushrooms which she liked. We did find the menu a bit overwhelming as novices to South Asian food and deciding what to have was a lottery. We would try different things if we visit again. Overall the quality of the food was reasonably good, tasted nice and was nicely spiced and we were satisfied. We were also pretty full afterwards. Service was attentive and polite which we appreciated. We will return in the future

Very poor food quality, food was barely warm, madras was watery and didn’t taste like a madras at all, lamb was very fatty, rice portions are definitely on the small side, tikka massala was okay at best definitely wouldn’t order again and would most likely advise against ordering from here!

Absolutely amazing. I would call this the best Indian restaurant in Stoke! I have been to various different curry houses all my life, trying their dishes of all and I must say! This is spot on!

The Royal Bahaar has been refitted out with nice relaxing decor. Very clean and nice table settings. We usually have a takeaway but decided to sit in. The service was excellent, and so was the food. It was very busy with takeaways. This did not affect the quality of our food or service whilst dining here. I would recommend.

The food is wonderful, some old favourites and also more authentic meals...plenty of availability currently for dining in but also very busy cooking takeaways for local delivery

Did a last minute booking on a Friday night to be met with friendly staff and a lovely modern and incredibly clean restaurant. We had a starter and main with drinks and we were impressed with the overall portion size and price! Food was absolutely lovely and the staff were incredibly accommodating, will be back again soon! We had the banquet meal, starter, main plus side and ice cream, it was gorgeous. There were 4 in our party and we chose different items and everything was cooked perfectly, the whole meal was lovely. We will be going again very soon and would recommend it.

Honestly this is the best curry house in stoke on trent- without a doubt. Indian is our favourite cuisine so we've tried a few and this, without a doubt beats them all. The restaurant is spotless, the staff are so friendly and can't do enough for you. The food, is amazing. We've been about a dozen times and not once have we found fault with anything. It's great value for money. Honestly you wont be disappointed.

We live in Hartshill and have never tried their food before, so thought we would try it. We ordered our food online so we could collect it at around 5.30 when they open. The ordering process was quite simple and the prices were reasonable, we got an email straight away confirming our order. We then got a message telling us when to collect our food. If we have one criticism it would be that the garlic naan didn't have much garlic on it, but everything else was lovely, the food was cooked well, my chicken Jalfrezi contained plenty of meat, the portions were good. Will be using them again.

Had a fantastic takeaway apart from no poppadoms phoned to explain, will sort out something with next order, the food was excellent shame about the poppadoms.

Worst restaurant in Stoke, the quantity is just insignificant. The owner on call did not even appreciate the complaint.

Meal booked for 4 for 8pm, no one else was in the restaurant, place was very cold, no heating, staff not helpful, we didn't realise that they had no liquor licence, not told at time of booking, decided to leave, no apologies, just told we could go to the pub next door for our drinks.

Quiet when we visited, but didn't take away from the excellent food and service, only gave the service 5 stars because they wont let me do 6.

I’ve just been across to Royal Bahaar for the first time and honestly I have to give credit where credit is due. The food was perfect and the service even better. The chap that served us really did go above and beyond. I think we forget that these little treasures are just on our door step.

My partner booked us a table for an evening meal and I have to say I was extremely impressed with the whole experience. The restaurant is beautiful and tastefully decorated, the staff are amazing we were made to feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble, the food was delicious easily the nicest I've had. We enjoyed our evening very much and will definitely be going back again soon. 😊👍

We ordered a carry out on the 4th of November which was without doubt the worst and most curry I have ever eaten. My lamb Dhansak had very little lamb in it I had to poke around to find the few small pieces of meat.the Bombay potato side was so small you could see the bottom of the container. The prawn dish that cost nearly £13 had very few prawns which were not very nice and were over cooked. I could go on but I definitely will not use this restaurant again
