Roxie Steak - Putney in Wandsworth

Honestly love the food here, but the staff have let the side down tonight completely. Such attitude, misplaced orders, wrong drinks order and then attitude that it’s not their fault. Poor performance from the staff (which i don’t normally say)…. Food once it was corrected, and the right sauce was given (after also forgotten)…

Great steaks in Putney, cooked to perfection. Staff were v nice, felt like nothing was too much to ask. Definetly coming back!

This place never fails to provide a fantastic steak dinner at a reasonable price! Great steaks, lovely sides, and good bottles of wine. The staff are always welcoming too, and the atmosphere is always upbeat, fun, and romantic if you want it to be!

Visited early evening on a Wimbledon day so was quite busy but good atmosphere and an inviting menu of steaks, burgers and cocktails. Janos, our server, was polite and helpful (particularly as I have a food allergy) and served us with a warm welcome and smile. Our steaks were so tasty and tender and cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

So this review is for the veg options as I was the sole pescatarian at the table. I was nervous about eating out here but my god, I had SUCH good veg food I had to write about it! I had the spinach and ricotta arancini and the small Asian salad with halloumi and I was stuffed from the meal! There are three arancini served and they are utterly delicious, gooey, hot and incredibly savoury. I had the salad with the dressing on the side and it was still incredibly fresh and satisfying, with crunchy veg and a good mix of veg. My husband and friends all raved on their respective steak and chicken dishes. Great chips as well: chunky and salty. I also had some of my husband’s mushroom side and was pleased how moreish it was seasoned. Yum! The salted caramel ice cream for desert was fine but nothing to rave about: overpriced and I’ve had better. Very good service.

9 of us went to celebrate our sons 23rd birthday. Highly recommend, everyone commented on how delicious their meals were. The fillet steak melts in your mouth :) Considering the location and quality of service and food it is reasonably priced too. Cocktails are great to, our table loved the Pornstar martini and mango passion punch. One vegetarian in our group loved the veggie burger. They even made a special little desert with a candle for our son fo this birthday!! A special thank you to Kim our waiter who looked after us impeccably. We never once had to ask for attention as he had an eye on us to attend to our every need. We all felt really welcome and valued as customers, so thanks again Kim, you made our evening special :)

We went for a lovely family dinner at Roxie on Saturday 20th. We were a group of 7 and from start to finish our experience was amazing. The venue itself has a fun lively atmosphere with great music, but not too loud so you actually hear each other speak. The food - we had a range of starters and different steaks all of which were made to perfection. These 2 things being enough in itself for me to go back. However hands down the custom service deserves credit on its own. Everyone was welcoming and attentive and the lady looking after us (Daga) was so lovely. She made our meal extra special and I just want to thank her for looking after us so well. We will definitely be returning soon!!

It was our first time at Roxie Putney on Sat the 20th, as we couldn’t get a table at Wimbledon. We sat downstairs which was a little quieter, just the way we like it. Our waitress Daga was a delight! She helped us with selections on the menu, so cheerful and attentive throughout, absolutely exceptional! I had a fillet, and my husband the Burger, happiness on a plate!! Steak lovers -don’t miss out! Just wish I bought a slice of the cheesecake to take away, delicious!

We went to Roxie’s Putney 30-04-2023 and Tomasz gave us the best service he welcomed us with a such a warm welcoming smile and was very very attentive to us. We ordered two Sunday roasts chicken and wow it was out of this world chef you know how to cook a very tasty chicken roast. We will definitely be coming back for the beautiful food but for Tomasz service especially thank you for giving us such a beautiful experience 10/10 on everything. I was with friends at roxys putney. And the food was very good and the service. Avoid booking a table over the phone. The polish girl who answer it, was rude and when we arrive she was argumentative. The rest of the staff was polite and friendly.

We have visited Roxie's Putney many times in the past. Sadly now for the last time. We arrived following an online booking. On arrival, we were instructed to find ourselves a table by a staff member behind the bar! When we found a table and tried to sit down the waitress told us that the table wasn't ready (it looked fine to us). We then went to sit at the next table and were told that wasn't available. Very poor and embarrassing. Service was mediocre and blunt throughout our meal. Certainly not worth the 12.5% service charge automatically added to your bill.

Outstanding food service and value - always consistent and never fails to deliver. One of the best deals around and long may it continue

The food here was amazing and the waitress was very attentive. We were here as a large group for a friend’s birthday and the service and food were both exceptional. The fillet sharer was cooked to perfection, the chips were crispy and the sauces all delicious. Not one complaint from anyone in our group

80% empty at Sunday lunchtime should have been a warning but we had booked so we went in. 1/2 hour wait for a rare steak, when all the Sunday roast trimmings must have been long ready, was unexpected in an almost empty joint. The meal, when it came, was just OK but only because the steak was excellent: tender and tasty. Unfortunately, the nicely cooked vegetables were barely warm, the tasteless and gloopy sauce in a "gravy boat” lukewarm and the Yorkshire was cold. Apart from the terrible “gravy”, everything had potential, if only a little more care had been taken with food temperatures. We would not return. Prince of Wales, across the road, was buzzing so we’ll go there next time.
