Rossi Bros in Redbridge

I've been going to Rossis at its various locations in and around Barkingside High Street ever since I was little. They even had a van selling lemon ices outside my junior school for 3d back in the day! Yummy. Just sorry that they don't produce frozen yoghurt now and also stopped doing some of my favourite flavours.....pistachio, ginger, etc. (Not sure why no salted caramel either as it's sooo popular now). However, it's very hard to beat the simple vanilla, always a hit.

Visited this place after a few years. Great ice cream but disappointed by a missing selection: No "blue cloud", no tutti frutti" (empty tray), no waffle cones with chocolate/nut coatings, etc. The on-line advertising is flashy, suggesting all of these are available but the person serving the ice cream said some of the missing flavours would not be available henceforth. Let's hope the local businessman to whom David Rossi sold the business to maintains the previous high standards and selection. Only time will tell.

I visited the Barkingside store on Wednesday afternoon. It was not a particularly hot day therefore there should not have been a shortage of any ice cream. We waited patiently in a queue with just three people in front of us to be served by a very slow serving assistant. It took her 20 mins to serve these three people who were actually in one group together. When we finally reached the front of the queue we were greeted with the fact that there was no Rossis vanilla ice cream in store at all. At this point we left with no ice cream 🍦 . How can an ice cream parlour renowned for its vanilla ice cream not have any in stock to sell !!! The management should have at the very least put up a sign saying No Vanilla Ice cream today to prevent customers queueing for no reason .

The recipes have been passed on to the new owners by two generations of Italian experts. We miss David Rossi and feel he has left a great legacy behind-you have to try it. The flavours are fantastic and there is now a vegan vanilla.

There are other places popping up in the high street doing ice cream, but none can beat Rossi, best ice cream in the world.

Rossi bros is an amazing ice cream parlour in Barkingside, the ice cream cannot be beaten, the ice cream is on its own level way better than other stores on the high street. On my visit I was told by a man that ice cream Christmas cakes were available for just £8.99, looked amazing and tasted just as good as it looked. Looks like 2019 could be a big year for Rossi’s... hoping to see more stores around soon.

I am so sad that Rossis Barkingside has closed - they slowly downsized twice from the original restaurant situated up the other end of the High Street. I even remember the Rossis ice cream van coming to our school as we were leaving and selling wonderful 3 penny lemon ices back in the day! (And the great Knickerbocker Glory for half a crown!) The flavours were never disappointing and all Home Made. I was only a little miffed when the family stopped doing my favourite ginger ice cream and pistachio frozen yoghurt - the basic vanilla was Superb anyway. BUT, I hear all is not completely lost as in February I'm told a limited variety of their product will be on sale at the Post Office/Pound Shop next door. Hurrah!

Absolutely disgusting service from the rude and miserable man at the counter. Please do not waste your time or money here. Go to cookies and cream down the road instead, a much wider selection of ice cream and always great service (you can sit in as well). The Ice cream here is overpriced and absolutely nothing special... I don't know why people go here to be honest.

I scream you scream we all scream for icecream. Fantastic flavours, crunchy cones and they do shakes too. A bit of a hidden gem really being tucked away behind a Costa.

Good ice creams but very pricey,there are a lot of choice,but for the low income family at best a treat if can afford it.

on a sunny day the best way to finish a perfect day is a trip to Rossi's always a pleasure and a treat. Brings back loads of memories and makes you feel good.

Best I've cream in barkingside. There icecream taste homemade and not store bought unlike curtain places

lots of ice cream sold here .. lots of flavors .to choose from ar an average / reasonable cost not much else to say ..

I have seen this place for MANY YEARS from when it was a bigger store to now and had NEVER been It was my sister who said I had to go and I am SO GLAD I did All the ice cream Is made on site so it doesn't taste cheap and mass manufactured Copped with the fact they have a big selection and this pace is CREAP, no wonder it is ALWAYS BUSY! The only "downside" is that is is takeaway only as the shop is so small But this is not an issue and the ice cream is gone in no time anyway And I am all for supporting local businesses so this will be my new local ice cream shop
