Rose & Crown in Forest of Dean

We just had the most amazing Sunday Lunch. The pub, food and people are amazing. Proper home cooked lovely food. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners and we will definitely be returning soon thank you to all the staff for a wonderful time.

Stay here after moving our daughter into local Uni we where made to be very welcome, lovely home made Sunday lunch made for us traditional Sunday lunch good portions, we stayed in one of the room to save the long journey back home room clean and all your basic things you needed, nice and quiet room thank you x

Very friendly and helpful staff, dog friendly and a fab menu. We were 4 people and everyone enjoyed their meals which were all fresh and delicious 🤩.

Staying nearby, we have recently eaten at the Rose and Crown 4 days on the trot. Be it lunchtime or evening, we received an extremely warm and accommodating welcome, including for our working cocker puppy, and thoroughly enjoyed the home made food on all occasions, on the back of excellent, convivial service. Bravo.

What a lovely, friendly and welcoming place. We were able to park our camper overnight in the car park (thank you). Enjoyed a few drinks, great food and the added bonus of midweek live music (as is was Cheltenham Festival week). The staff (and locals) were very chatty, service was fantastic. And we were able to enjoy a huge full English breakfast the following morning 😋 Will definitely return next time we’re passing. Thank you.

Although we only live 25 mins away we had not come across this pub. Saw an ad on our local Facebook page earlier in the day for the Reivers Gallows who were playing at 4 ( brilliant band!) What a fabulous place. Friendly customers, great atmosphere and delicious pizza. Spent a great couple of hours watching the band. Thrilled to see they have live music every Sunday and at a decent time 4-7. Already planning our next visit and can see this becoming one of regular haunts
