The most appauling service ive experienced. Waited over an hour for food and items were either missing or wrong. Went up to speak to staff on several occasions and was told it was end of season and they had either supply issues or delays. Ordered more drinks and still never arrived be because of delays on food. No apology given. Ended up leaving at a cost of £92. Should not be open if they cannot operate properly. Will not be returning im afraod

Awful, food worst food ever, hunters chicken cold cheese not melted and bbq sauce like greasy water clearly microwaved, service poor, item not arrived when asked they didn’t know what it was (a Budweiser very common knowledge) and then said it wasn’t on menu so how could i of ordered it lol - roller costed just a black bit of plastic could of at least looked like a roller coaster, very expensive for quality of poor food, feel sorry for table across us who had all food thrown at him under the coster shoot, nearly got hit on the head by glass bottle

Staff were polite and friendly. The QR code required to order food was damaged and didn't work properly. Food was very overpriced and was average at best on quality. Food turned up at different times despite being ordered together meaning some members of our group were waiting for there food while others had already finished. Lots of noise and constant 'rollercoaster adverts' that are very loud and annoying. The atmosphere was honestly quite stressful and the restaurant seemed chaotic. The smoke machine and constant changing of lighting made everything seem unbearable. I don't think I'd come back, would honestly avoid this restaurant altogether. Probably my least favourite dining experience and cost a small fortune.

Excited to arrive and a quirky theme with the food being delivered by roller coasters, however the excitement and bright lights is where it ends. There is zero customer service, as you are seating and then order/pay through an app before food being delivered by the roller coaster. The app was difficult to manage and payments wouldn't be accepted as wifi issues and it kept crashing before the payment went through. Eventually I had to ask a member of staff to make the order before we walked out. We were warned food would be delivered and there maybe a 5 minute gap between the orders when being seated. There was actually 13 minutes between the 1st and last order being received, my eldest girl ended up eating her meal with us watching her as we had finished - not good! We were all still hungry as well, even McD's fill you up better and a fraction of the cost! Very expensive for a few burgers and zero customer service. It cost us £70 for 4 soft drinks and 4 burgers and chips - ouch! I wouldn't recommend and we would never return, other than to look at inside and see what happens in there.

This place was fun and a little unexpected. I have never looked at a review for here so after a little while queuing we went in. Firstly, you need to order online via the website and theres a QR code on your table, which is fine, except that theres no mobile signal inside, so you need to use the wifi. Then, just when you thought youd got there you, my card asked for a OTP, which i couldn't get as rheres no bloody signal! I had to log in to my banking app. It was a pain... The menu isn't huge, but what I had was good. The food delivery is kinda funny.

I think this was actually the worst meal I've ever had. We went because my son had his heart set on it ( wish I'd never even mentioned it) Despite the quirky theme it somehow seems to have no atmosphere really in there. The food was awful. Arrived either cold or slightly warm and obviously just cheap frozen stuff, very little taste or care. We had an amazing time at Scarefest, this was the only major low light. Never again.

Horrible experience, never again. Waited outside in a queue for 45 mins before allowed in to our table. There was only 6 people in front of us. Ordered and ticket said 15 mins for food. 45 mins later we enquired where our food was. 15 mins later manager said she would refund order and get our food to is. Waited another 15 mins then 3 of 4 dishes arrived. My wife had to ask again where her order was. Another 10 mins later it eventually came. Food was OK but very very expensive. £100 for 3 burgers, chicken tenders and a couple of drinks. Wow! Refund was issued on Saturday however still not received back into my account. Really poor experience.

It is the worst burger I ever had. It might be a fast food but even McDonald is better, the meat is clearly frozen but tastes like it has been sitting in the freezer for 20 years. The waiters are nice but the music is too loud and the room is cold. I would not recommend it to anyone, for the price you could go to real restaurant (20€ for a fast food that tastes like crap).

Quirky restaurant inside Alton Towers. Not easily signposted in the park, it's near to Galactica (formerly Air). We were sat quickly and given brief instructions on how to order and pay. Needed to use our phones which was just about doable but I didn't have much charge left after taking lots of photos and videos in the park. It wasn't particularly clear when the food came down the "rollercoaster" who the food was for, you have to check the ticket and even then it isn't obvious without opening the container up. The food was fine, nothing special and not huge portion sizes but you are paying for the privilege of eating inside the park even after closing and for the theatre of the food coming down from the kitchen via the rollercoaster tracks. Drinks weren't ideal for kids - no fruit shoots or similar, it was either Coca-Cola products or fruit juices full of sugar. Eventually managed to get a servers attention to get a jug of ice water but being app based and very dark and loud it's not always easy to be seen/heard. The decor is nice with lovely throwbacks to older rollercoasters like the Corkscrew and Black Hole older fans will remember. Easy access to car parks and hotels front dedicated exit.

We attended with our 2 autistic children. The idea is great however the food and service is chronically bad. My hunters chicken came in 5 minutes. Just enough time to be microwaved and it tasted like it. The chips had obviously been cooked a while before that as they were cold. My son’s chips were cold and his chucked wings were only warm. Cooked but only warm, another reheated meal. My wife’s food finally came as we were leaving after 35 minutes of waiting for her burger. Nothing special. Just a burger and fries. We checked and the fries were cold and they got the burger filling wrong. They forgot the salad that was supposed to go with it anyway. When we chased it up after 15 minutes of us eating we weee told it was the next one coming down. It sadly wasn't the next one nor any of the next 20. A really good idea ruined by bad service and sadly bad food.

First of all, it says online the restaurant opens at 11am, so we got there bang on time and it’s more like 11:30. TLDR: Do NOT visit!! Overpriced and horrendous service The delivery system is a pretty cool gimmick, but it was evident this restaurant has either severely incompetent, or simply no management at all. Despite their gimmick saving labour costs, the food is severely overpriced for what it is, even with my Merlin pass discount. The food itself was mediocre for me, but terrible for my guests. The food was cold and dry, the desserts were cardboard. £29 for a burger, coke and slice of cake WITH discount. Trying to get hold of staff was also difficult, and they were not understaffed (4 waiters and 3 additional floor staff for 4 tables). A lot of staff, especially Harry, had a MAJOR attitude problem, just one example being when i asked for more cutlery (as there was none on the three tables around us) we got kissed teeth and an eye roll as he walked off, to be met with our cutlery by having it slammed on the table to the point where the nearest table (three tables away) turned to look. ALL the front of house staff had a miserable look on their faces, despite not having to do much (4 tables in the whole place and only drinks had to be run) The “entertainment” was a 30 second video projected on the wall with horribly loud audio and the LED lights changing colour. I’m autistic like many coaster enthusiasts and the loud audio made me have to literally cover my ears. The only saving grace, and the only member of staff who actually seemed to care about guests was Ruth, who was absolutely delightful and made me feel actually welcome. (Context: I have ran and worked in countless restaurants and bars over many many years and this is equivalent to Wetherspoons on a Tuesday) I would have been happier with a pot noodle.

Better in thought , than in reality. Customers must remember to buy what they need when they need it . We forgot and desserts came before mains. The smiler burger(best on the menu) was £18 ish and yet only (only) £3.75 to add extra burger . I wanted to share my food on Facebook to show off where i was and my food . But here was my meal. With a pineapple juice and Cajun fries. Around £35 ish. If you are on holiday you don’t mind right? Or maybe forced to pay expensive prices as there isn’t anything else you can do.. oh and it’s super hard to find. We had to go down a don’t go this way road just to get there as sat nav took us round in circles twice in the dark . Better signage to location needed . Food was pretty tasty, but portions seemed a little haphazard, I ordered a burger and chips, with an extra portion of onion rings, my meal arrived with them all in one box, so a smaller portion of fries than if I hadn't paid extra for the rings. My son's child-portion had a lot more chips than mine did! (I ate his as he's only 4 and couldn't even finish half of his meal, so everybody left happy) The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, but the awesome gimmick of ordering your food by rollercoaster just means that they spend 10 minutes explaining to everyone how to order via QR code, when they could have spent 5 taking the order. The system itself is the problem, not the staff, they were great. Very dark, but the lights and screen were cool

Been to this restaurant previously and thought it was ok, but today was awful. Waited 40 minutes to get in and the restaurant was only half full, if that. Last time we came it was dark with blue lighting and a better atmosphere, this time the regular lights were on and just felt like sitting in a canteen. Ordered food for 3 of us, just a main and drink each and the bill came to £59.85. Food took ages to come out and all came at separate times. One meal came, then 20 minutes later, another came, then the last meal came out 10 minutes later. It was quite bizarre. We all ate at different times. I chased up twice where our food was and got a disinterested, defensive response and at no point an apology, felt a bit of an inconvenience. The food was crap, really dry and none of us finished our meals. Overpriced and underwhelming. Definitely won’t be back and have told friends and family on the group chat to not bother visiting when they come.

Very bad experience.. bug at the time of payment. As a result, the order was not validated. We go to the checkout and the waiter makes fun of us in his headset 🤬 (we are French and not very comfortable with English).. We received the desserts before the hot dishes, so the melted ice cream. Brief Let's talk about quality: a burger that's more than meh, even the worst McDonald's I've made is better 🤢🤮.. the dessert is hard as a stone and tasteless (apart from the sugar). At 8:50 p.m. we felt oppressed and we were waiting for us to leave because it must have been closing time (although marked closing at 11 p.m. on the internet 🙄). All the servers around us including 1 sitting on a table who was taken over by the manager.. Our food was really good, not unreasonable prices for a resturant ( burger and chips 15 quid), the service and food arrival was good, it is served via roller coaster rails, so human interaction is kept to a minimum if thats a issue for you, the only downside for us was the lighting, the blue and red lights above tables and made the tasty food look grey and unappealing, but def worth a visit.

All in all our experience was standard. The food itself is good - hot and very decent sized portions. However, by the time one member of our table’s food arrived, everyone else had finished with little notice being taken by staff. Additionally we found that aspects such as cutlery were lacking alongside clearance of plates- leaving us with a lot of dirty plates whilst trying to eat. The experience of the rollercoasters is good, however the novelty quickly wears off when you’re sat waiting for food as it’s stuck/miss timed.

It was 'ok'. The best bits were the gimmick of the food being delivered from above, my daughter's mocktail and the smiler burger. But were far outweighed by some staff who were clearly rushed off their feet, waiting 10 minutes for 1 party's food while everything else was there, having to use a qr code to access the menu and order, not having enough cutlery... Such a great concept for a restaurant with cool theming including the rides in the park. We ordered a cappuccino and a corona and it took 15 minutes to arrive to the table, was understandable as they were quite busy but the 45 minute food wait wasn’t. When we arrived to the restaurant the lady seating people to their tables told us the food would only take 20 minutes. Chips were cold and the lettuce in my burger looked like it had been sat underneath the hot light for the whole 45 minutes. Told was a breast. It wasn't. It was a dry slab of breaded nugget at best. Asked for a replacement meal after a bite. Simple cheeseburger instead. It came very fast, but unfortunately was worse than the attempted chicken "breast". Akin to chewing on rubbery plastic. Staff on the floor were great with the issue/s. But the food, such a let down. Great atmosphere and customer service, just let down so much on the food. Left without having any real meal and ate some crisps and biscuits instead because we'll, nothing else open nearby

My family have been big fans of the rollercoaster restaurant for years. We've been more or less every year since it opened, most recently in July 2024. The theme is great fun and the atmosphere is perfect for a theme park. That said, the experience has got worse every single year. This year my daughter commented that she could have got her dinner (Wicker Man chicken and waffles) from her underfunded state school canteen for £3.50. At the rollercoaster restaurant it was £17.45. And I mean the exact same food: same nuggets, same waffle... Identical. Obviously I'm not expecting to pay the same, but if I'm spending the best part of £20 per head on mains, I want something better than school canteen food! Don't get me started on the price of drinks. A second round would have meant arranging a second mortgage! They should provide a financial advisor to help customers with the drinks menu. I think Merlin have outsourced all catering at Alton Towers to a company called Aramark, who according to their website specialise in hospital and college catering amongst other things. This has not gone well. Quality has nose dived across the park - but it's worst at the rollercoaster restaurant. In the end we spent over £150 to feed a family of four with reheated frozen grot, delivered on an overhead track. I'm genuinely sad to say, we won't be back. When we return to Alton Towers, we'll be taking a packed lunch or heading off in the car for a pub dinner.

Bit loud and had to keep asking for cutlery, but the food was good. Good portions as well. Great experience

Our food got stuck on the rollercoaster....food not really great. Our table host was nice. Price-quality ratio not good. It's mainly about the experience.

Such a cool concept to have your food whizz down to you on rails! Recommend booking a table in advance as this place is VERY popular. The Nemesis Reborn burger was amazing!

full stars for the friendly staff and theming. however, it took ages for the drinks to come and even longer for the food. a side salad was missing and i had to ask a waiter to get that sorted. the chicken was so dry and i also found a bone in it. the quality of the food was seriously lacking. i thought i would get a wuality meal for the price, unfortunately it did taste like school dinner.

Crazy riot of a venue with nice staff and some funky bites. Oh yeah it has coaster delivery service. Complex app based order system but it all got there in the end, no dramas.

Food is pretty poor tbh. Extremely overpriced. Drinks are extortionate. Staff are very friendly & helpful though, so they should be praised. Don’t think it’s a placed I’d go back too, sadly.

Had a great time at the rollercoaster restaurant, service was really good & the waiter was very helpful in explaining the concept & ordering process. Really enjoyed the theme & watching the orders zooming around on the rails. The burgers were awsome & was really nice to have a few pints after a long day in the theme park.

Very disappointed, first of all we had no cutlery, so asked a member of staff twice for some. They asked what we wanted and didn't understand the term cutlery, so said knives and forks, with which the waitress just wondered around aimlessly and didn't return to our table, my daughter had to then get some from another empty table. My starter didn't arrive and after asking the same waiter twice and being advised he will follow up with the kitchen nothing arrived, so when I approached him for a third time he appeared shocked, so asked for the manager and requested a refund for the starter which begrudgingly gave me the cash back. Food was very poor and didn't come with the extras I had paid for, with the curly fries undercooked. After this experience next time we visit will look for an eatery outside of the main park.

Staying at the resort food options are limited and the recommendation is to book ahead. First evening we went here. First impressions were a smoky restaurant, and what seems to be the lack of customer engagement / real interest with food ordering via an app. The menu was very limited in any nutritional value and variety in general When you have finished your order, you then wait to watch your food being delivered inside metallic bowls strapped onto mini food trucks on rails. This novelty was interesting for about 5 minutes. . When the food did arrive, it had the look and taste of budget supermarket food that wasn’t cooked or presented very well. Deep fried and / or microwaved by the looks of things. Rice and chicken goujons were exceptionally poor. Macaroni cheese beyond poor. Chips poor - actually smelled funny. 3 cheese selection poor. All very poor. I declined to order anything from the adult mains as it was north of £15 and based on what I saw the kids eat thought better. Looking ahead, things can only get better (I hope).

What a shocker of an evening. We have visited The rollercoaster restaurant at least 5 times since it first opened, probably more so felt safe in booking it for this trip to the resort after a 3 year break.. Boy, what a mistake! Food is clearly microwaved to within an inch of its life so made some of the food so hard that it was impossible to chew, meals came out on the track without numbers and sometimes receipts so we all had to open strangers food to check as they did to us which is not the customers fault .. Many items got stuck on the track so had to wait for that, meals didn’t come out with their sides so we were waiting more than eating. We complained about the poor food after our starters and because we had eaten 2 of the 4 un overcooked bits of chicken Kofta we were not entitled to a refund! After my husband spoke to the manager they said we could have a dessert free which we weren’t really interested in at this point, to be told 20 mins after we had ordered these that one was out of stock and my cheesecake had still not even arrived so after this we just walked out. Absolute shambles and we will warn anyone against eating here, it’s not even worth it for the novelty ..

Rollercoaster Restaurant is a novelty, Food is average across the board but definitely one of the better of choices across the park, over priced as with all Merlin food outlets.

The atmosphere is nice and it entertains before and during the meal but the food quality is very very poor. I wasn't expecting much of the place because it's a restaurant in a theme park but even though the bar was so low, they managed to go lower. I was charged 98 pounds only for the food, not counting drinks here. We got two kids meals, and two adult ones. No starters at the beginning but I was still hungry at the end so I decided to order a starter/side of cauliflower wings and it's actually hilarious what I got. We laughed for a good few minutes so I have to give them that at least. It was a connection with my family where even my 1.5 year old laughed as we couldn't stop laughing. I'm adding a photo I took comparing one of the few wings I got with a single piece of sweet corn. I also got chicken breasts in a "ketchup" kind of sauce. It was very sweet, very hard to process everything but I was starving so I couldn't care much about it. The kids meals were ok, I mean, they got chicken nuggets and falafel so it's hard to mess up with that. I'm glad we went because it's still a funny experience. It was like a comedy movie. I saw food getting stuck in the rails and the staff moving it with a stick. I hope they get their own tv show. It would be a good combination of drama and comedy.

Visited on Friday 28th June 2024. Excellent service. Was shown to our table immediately on arrival. Ordered food and received it promptly. Food was excellent and given the venue it was reasonably priced. Drinks were delivered quickly after we ordered. Great atmosphere.

Absolutely loved our visit! We booked a table for our family to visit the restaurant whilst we were staying at the park. On reading the reviews, we came with very low expectations. Well, we absolutely loved it!! The food was exceptional, staff friendly and atmosphere amazing! The meal I wanted from the menu was unavailable but a member of staff came to advise me of this within a few minutes of ordering and I was offered an alternative. I really don't understand the bad reviews. The prices were as you'd expect in a theme park, portion sizes good and food full of flavour. Our kids absolutely loved it, as did we. We had the Nemasis Reborn Burgers and the Salmon with rice. Followed by Chocolate brownies and waffles. Have to admit the birthday tune being played every time someone ordered the brownie was a little irritating after the 15th time 🤣 We would definitely recommend a visit and will be returning again!.

We ordered our food then only 2 dishes came down we waited 25 minutes for the rest and by then the rest of our group had already ate then when brought up they reordered it only half the stuff came again so we had to try and chase down where the rest of our food since at this point we had been there for a hour was they only really started to care when a parent of our group came in to try and get our food, the manager I think was very rude and hinted that we were lying but the younger waiter and waitresses were nice. I wouldn’t go if your younger since it felt like the manager saw we were teenagers and automatically thought we were lying

Great idea, staff wasn't paying much attention to clients our table didn't have glasses or cutlery.. one of the dishes was stuck and we had to prompt the waiter.. nice concept but service wasn't good. We also had an issue to place an order as you need to scan the QR code but internet and WiFi was really bad so it took a while to place the order
