The food was warm, borek were really skinny and bland, the kubba mosul Lamb was chewy as if it had been reheated in a microwave, partners shawarma wrap and chips were great. Good delivery time and nice driver.

This is a good restaurant in Edinburgh, middle eastern food makes you feel like you’re in the Middle East food so Moorish. Service is excellent and the atmosphere is great atmosphere very relaxing.

Food was barely warm when arrived l, however tasted ok but in our view the mixed grill was poor value when compared to other Turkish restaurants (Ada/Rodi etc).

Today we booked to go to this restaurant as a party of 4. I booked online although didn't receive a confirmation. I called the restaurant to advise we were running 30 minutes late and to ask if I could use my tastecard which offer's 25% off your final bill, the gentleman that I spoke with said no problem just come along when we were ready and no problem for using my discount. On arrival the restaurant was very quiet so we asked for some music to be put on to add a little ambience. The food we ordered was ok not great (our first visit here was so much better). When I asked for the bill I mentioned my discount again but it wasn't added so I took my receipt to the desk and the chap took a picture of my QR code and called his manager.....he returned to say when I booked that I didn't mention my TC which I did. Again he went back to the phone and came back again saying I need to give 24hrs notice to use my TC, this isn't true....I have checked the t & c's but there is nothing stayed. I removed my service charge purely for the principle of the matter and I definitely will not return here as this really is a poor show!!!

The food was amazing. Didn't wait long to collect. Nan bread was fresh, not greasy or heavy, tasted delicious. Would order from here again if I lived in Edinburgh!

Our second time in the last month. I was looking forward to coming back again. This restaurant was very memorable: a very friendly, smiley waitress greeted us and recommended to try the rice which I thought later was to die for. The chicken shish dish with the tasty rice had so much flavor, so nicely cooked that I was taken by a surprise. It is very hard to find a dish that meets your expectations. This time I ordered extra Okra as a side dish and a bottle of Lebanese wine. We had a lot of fun drinking it while waiting for the tasty meal to be prepared. There is a lot more to try and I am looking forward to my next visit. Thank you very much for trying so hard. I really appreciate it your effort.

I've been ordering food from here, and I can confidently say that I'm absolutely enamoured with this place. After a long search for decent Lebanese food in Edinburgh, I finally found it. This restaurant ticks all the boxes. Their Sabanikh is outstanding—I've never tasted anything quite like it.

Wanted to try something new and different but after the meal, I was disappointed by the quality of the order, majority of the meal was cold apart from the chicken wings, the lamb chop was full of FAT very unhealthy and for the price paid it was truely below par unfortunately even though on a quiet night still didn’t get quality food.

No Kurdish vibe there, sorry. We had to wait for food 1.15 h. They made so much smoke with trying hard make bbq that 4 fire engines came 😶 Very very cold, food was fine, overpriced and not kurdish . Would not come again 🤷‍♀️

It's a lovely dinner I had at a Kurdish restaurant. We were served by a Bengali person with  Arabic music  and Turkish food, and Kurdish tea. Edinburgh Scotland north England

We had a Kurdish friend with us who had high expectations. The food was not too bad but the price/quality range is not worth it for us. Also there was no Kurdish hospitality.

The food is delicious, the service is fast, and the staff are courteous. We ordered biryani and doner kebab with fresh bread, and ayran with cumin. It was delicious. Thank you. Starters and Mixed Grill Platter was Great!

I enjoyed the mixed grill. It wasn't the best I've had but it was good. The baklava was a bit disappointing though.

Splendid meal! Best food we’ve had in two weeks of travel! Kind and helpful staff, most tender lamb shawarma, pockets of tasty veggies and fresh cucumber salad with amazing sauces! Baklava and mint tea so nice! Highly recommend you make the stop! Enjoy!

We had a Groupon for a choice of hot or cold mezze - we went for the hot and it was delicious. We added baba gannuge and chicken hummus bil lahmeh and both of these came with huge light and tasty naan bread. It was all absolutely delicious. Oh wow!

Highly recommend! Melaine our waitress was first class and the food was delicious. We had the King mixed grill sharing platter for 2 which came with a fresh nan and so many incredible mezze’s. Will definitely be back! Thank you

This place is wonderful! The food, staff, ambience + were tremendous. We were a team group of 15. When I first read the menu, I wasn’t sure I’d like the cuisine, but I / we loved it! The chicken wings are the best I’ve had anywhere on the globe. And the other offerings were super tasty! Go visit Rojava!

It’s not easy to fail with kebabs yet this place has the worst kebabs I’ve eaten in my life. Full of salt, and oily disaster.

I am italian and my food sensitivness is very high. I can truly say that this restaurant provides delicious typical Turkish and Kurdish food with an high attention to details, quantity,mix of tastes.. Extraordinary food experience. The service was professional and hostly, an Italian waiter served us during the dinner. He was always very polite and supportive for any question. The price is correctly balanced with what we eat (an incredible goulash with lamb and vegetables!!! And many others delicious things). The place is clean and easy to find, by walking from city center or by bus. I strongly recommend this place, and I hope to come back soon to visit it again.

The space and the staff were absolutely great. Unfortunately the food was a huge let down. The falafels and bhajis were overcooked. The staff tried to redo the order but it was still not right. It was surprising that so many people liked the food here especially the Lebanese section. We couldn't dare to eat the main course after this so left. It was on the eve of my son's bday and he was so excited about this place and was quite upset with the experience. Unfortunately would not recommend this restaurant for Lebanese food. Responding to the owners message: Courteous customers don't pick on things as soon as they enter and we definitely aren't built that way. Hence we kept quiet and ate the food served. Upon the staff asking we mentioned that it was burnt and never expected you guys to reserv The second time around when you guys served us the same food, please note that most 80% of it was left untouched cos that's the only way we could show our disappointment again as it was as still overcooked. When the oil is too hot and u put in the batter it gets burnt on the outside and is undercooked on the inside. If this was our first attempt at eating middle eastern cuisine we wouldn't have known the difference. And being an Indian we definitely know how our bhajjis need to look or taste. If this offends you there is not much that I can do about it. If there is something that we don't like, it is to be said as it is. We clearly mentioned the same to your staff too. Apologies for being honest.

We spend two weeks in Scotland and had great food in different restaurants. Rojava is our absolute favourite. The kids loved it as much as the adults. Delicious dishes, very friendly service.

Massively overpriced and small portions! You'd think that the taste would be heavenly given how much they charge for such small portions but you'd be disappointed: nothing special, just ok. The lamb shish was tough and chewy (and too little). The wraps were ok but too small for the price. They even skimped on the sauces, which came in really tiny tubs! With so many other places that are both cheaper, tastier and filling, I really wonder who orders from them (apart from first timers like me)...

Food was delicious, but we ordered at 7 and it wasn't delivered til after 10, even though the estimated time when we ordered was 45mins to an hour.

I'm vegetarian with a number of food sensitivities, and although Middle Eastern restaurants often offer lots of choice for vegetarians, it is often disappointingly oily or overly reliant on the same heavy tomato-based sauce. This was my first order from Rojava, and I'm already looking forward to ordering from them again. Everything was light and fresh and looked lovely, was nicely spiced, and wasn't too salty. I love baba ganoush, and Rohava's was unusual and delicious, with more texture and a lot less oil than most. Likewise, their tzatziki was flavourful but not claggy or watery. The BBQ veg were tasty, with plenty of delicious aubergine. And their salad was full of colour and herbs, and someone had gone to the trouble of cutting each component neatly and attractively. These details make a difference. I was delighted with my meal: the best Middl Eastern food I've eaten in Edinburgh (and I've tried all of them). Portions were very, very generous!

Excellent food in a warm environment. We ate the hot starter combination, the Lamb qozy, the kofta kebab and the Special Rojava casserole. Every plate was a pleasure for the eye and for the taste.

Ordered our meal around 5.15pm it arrived at 8.15pm this was down to lack of couriers from Just eat. When we got the meal it was cold and missing items. Called the restaurant and they apologised for the missing items said it was due to the lack of courier's. 3 hours waiting for a delivery is a disgrace from just eat.

Our dinner at Rojava was exquisite! The best Tabouli salad I have ever tasted. A medley of vegetables grilled to perfection. Baba Ganoush and hummus and hot, fresh pita, all memorable. And the service was terrific.

De passage à Edimbourg, il nous a fallu trouver un restaurant assez tard dans la soirée. On a choisi d'aller chez Rojava: Accueil excellent, ambiance calme et détendue. Le serveur, adorable, était aux petits soins. La carte propose un grand choix de plats. On a opté pour une entrée et un plat, les portions étaient tellement généreuses qu'on n'a pas pu finir. Et la qualité et le goût étaient plus que présents. Bref, excellent repas! Merci pour tout.

I'm totally disappointed about this restaurant. They don't even know what the main dishes are in the Middle East. I've been for years in the middle east. But i couldn't find popular Middle Eastern dishes in this restaurant.finally i had a chicken biriyani which was the worst biriyani i ever had.

Went there on a Thursday night. It was fairly quiet. The food was really good, very tasty, plenty of it and very reasonably priced. Would definitely go again.

Me and a couple of friends spotted this place by chance and honestly we were so lucky! The food is amazing, generous portions and the quality is fantastic. Prices were also more than fair. Can't wait to come back! Thank you for having us 😊

One naan bread missing but food was all delicious!

The only what I’m confused about the prices, that what we ordered for 4 peoples and 3 Porsches chips 🍟 they charge us £130 , our Order was £70 , they charge us for 3 paqlava,+ 4 tee’s was absolutely was nothing because he sau is kurdish tee, but it was a bottle tee, £70. Never come back,

Really enjoyed this small Middle Eastern restaurant by EICC - succulent and tender Chicken Shish, tasty Hummus and super fresh Tabouleh. Great price too including drinks - very friendly staff.

Attending Rojava on 3 occasions now. Absolutely love the place. The food is fantastic, especially the mixed cold platter and the lamb shish kebab. My favourite is the Tabbouleh salad. The prices are very reasonable compared to other Mediterranean restaurants in Edinburgh and the staff are very friendly.

If you want a great Halal meal when visiting Edinburgh, then this place is a must visit. I had the Chicken Biriyani (pictured), which, unlike traditional biriyani, was cubes of perfectly marinated and chargrilled chicken, with biriyani rice, grilled vegetables and a side dish of okra. The portion size was generous and reasonable value for money. The waitresses who served us were friendly and courteous and we didn't have to wait too long for the food to be cooked. I will definitely go again on my next visit to the city.

Best BBQ, great place. All of us enjoy a lot. We asked them to make special Big platter and they made as we wanted. Very traditional way made for us. Though it was very busy but they done very well. We will be definitely back again for next party.

I love Kurdistan and its people, music, culture and and food.

They are scammers; they basically made us pay an extra 10£ for nothing. The food was OK but I felt like it was very little compared to the price we paid. Personally I felt uncomfortable with the service. What made our experience bad is that even though we mentioned we had a limited budget they didn’t mention anything about 7.07£ for a service fee. They also made us pay 3£ because we brought our own bottles and they also didn’t mention that it wasn’t allowed. When we told him that he didn’t tell us in the beginning about it he said “it’s common knowledge .” That was very rude it’s funny they made us pay 7£ for that service. ONE OF OUR WORST EXPERIENCES.
