Splendid meal! Best food we’ve had in two weeks of travel! Kind and helpful staff, most tender lamb shawarma, pockets of tasty veggies and fresh cucumber salad with amazing sauces! Baklava and mint tea so nice! Highly recommend you make the stop! Enjoy!

We had a Groupon for a choice of hot or cold mezze - we went for the hot and it was delicious. We added baba gannuge and chicken hummus bil lahmeh and both of these came with huge light and tasty naan bread. It was all absolutely delicious. Oh wow!

Highly recommend! Melaine our waitress was first class and the food was delicious. We had the King mixed grill sharing platter for 2 which came with a fresh nan and so many incredible mezze’s. Will definitely be back! Thank you

This place is wonderful! The food, staff, ambience + were tremendous. We were a team group of 15. When I first read the menu, I wasn’t sure I’d like the cuisine, but I / we loved it! The chicken wings are the best I’ve had anywhere on the globe. And the other offerings were super tasty! Go visit Rojava!

It’s not easy to fail with kebabs yet this place has the worst kebabs I’ve eaten in my life. Full of salt, and oily disaster.

I am italian and my food sensitivness is very high. I can truly say that this restaurant provides delicious typical Turkish and Kurdish food with an high attention to details, quantity,mix of tastes.. Extraordinary food experience. The service was professional and hostly, an Italian waiter served us during the dinner. He was always very polite and supportive for any question. The price is correctly balanced with what we eat (an incredible goulash with lamb and vegetables!!! And many others delicious things). The place is clean and easy to find, by walking from city center or by bus. I strongly recommend this place, and I hope to come back soon to visit it again.

The space and the staff were absolutely great. Unfortunately the food was a huge let down. The falafels and bhajis were overcooked. The staff tried to redo the order but it was still not right. It was surprising that so many people liked the food here especially the Lebanese section. We couldn't dare to eat the main course after this so left. It was on the eve of my son's bday and he was so excited about this place and was quite upset with the experience. Unfortunately would not recommend this restaurant for Lebanese food. Responding to the owners message: Courteous customers don't pick on things as soon as they enter and we definitely aren't built that way. Hence we kept quiet and ate the food served. Upon the staff asking we mentioned that it was burnt and never expected you guys to reserv The second time around when you guys served us the same food, please note that most 80% of it was left untouched cos that's the only way we could show our disappointment again as it was as still overcooked. When the oil is too hot and u put in the batter it gets burnt on the outside and is undercooked on the inside. If this was our first attempt at eating middle eastern cuisine we wouldn't have known the difference. And being an Indian we definitely know how our bhajjis need to look or taste. If this offends you there is not much that I can do about it. If there is something that we don't like, it is to be said as it is. We clearly mentioned the same to your staff too. Apologies for being honest.

Delicious food. Friendly service, not pushy.

We spend two weeks in Scotland and had great food in different restaurants. Rojava is our absolute favourite. The kids loved it as much as the adults. Delicious dishes, very friendly service.

Massively overpriced and small portions! You'd think that the taste would be heavenly given how much they charge for such small portions but you'd be disappointed: nothing special, just ok. The lamb shish was tough and chewy (and too little). The wraps were ok but too small for the price. They even skimped on the sauces, which came in really tiny tubs! With so many other places that are both cheaper, tastier and filling, I really wonder who orders from them (apart from first timers like me)...

Food was delicious, but we ordered at 7 and it wasn't delivered til after 10, even though the estimated time when we ordered was 45mins to an hour.

I loved the food! It was delicious and the personnel was kind. I can recommend the naan bread! The falafel was my favourite.

I'm vegetarian with a number of food sensitivities, and although Middle Eastern restaurants often offer lots of choice for vegetarians, it is often disappointingly oily or overly reliant on the same heavy tomato-based sauce. This was my first order from Rojava, and I'm already looking forward to ordering from them again. Everything was light and fresh and looked lovely, was nicely spiced, and wasn't too salty. I love baba ganoush, and Rohava's was unusual and delicious, with more texture and a lot less oil than most. Likewise, their tzatziki was flavourful but not claggy or watery. The BBQ veg were tasty, with plenty of delicious aubergine. And their salad was full of colour and herbs, and someone had gone to the trouble of cutting each component neatly and attractively. These details make a difference. I was delighted with my meal: the best Middl Eastern food I've eaten in Edinburgh (and I've tried all of them). Portions were very, very generous!

Excellent food in a warm environment. We ate the hot starter combination, the Lamb qozy, the kofta kebab and the Special Rojava casserole. Every plate was a pleasure for the eye and for the taste.

Ordered our meal around 5.15pm it arrived at 8.15pm this was down to lack of couriers from Just eat. When we got the meal it was cold and missing items. Called the restaurant and they apologised for the missing items said it was due to the lack of courier's. 3 hours waiting for a delivery is a disgrace from just eat.

Our dinner at Rojava was exquisite! The best Tabouli salad I have ever tasted. A medley of vegetables grilled to perfection. Baba Ganoush and hummus and hot, fresh pita, all memorable. And the service was terrific.

De passage à Edimbourg, il nous a fallu trouver un restaurant assez tard dans la soirée. On a choisi d'aller chez Rojava: Accueil excellent, ambiance calme et détendue. Le serveur, adorable, était aux petits soins. La carte propose un grand choix de plats. On a opté pour une entrée et un plat, les portions étaient tellement généreuses qu'on n'a pas pu finir. Et la qualité et le goût étaient plus que présents. Bref, excellent repas! Merci pour tout.

I'm totally disappointed about this restaurant. They don't even know what the main dishes are in the Middle East. I've been for years in the middle east. But i couldn't find popular Middle Eastern dishes in this restaurant.finally i had a chicken biriyani which was the worst biriyani i ever had.

Went there on a Thursday night. It was fairly quiet. The food was really good, very tasty, plenty of it and very reasonably priced. Would definitely go again.

Me and a couple of friends spotted this place by chance and honestly we were so lucky! The food is amazing, generous portions and the quality is fantastic. Prices were also more than fair. Can't wait to come back! Thank you for having us 😊

One naan bread missing but food was all delicious!

The only what I’m confused about the prices, that what we ordered for 4 peoples and 3 Porsches chips 🍟 they charge us £130 , our Order was £70 , they charge us for 3 paqlava,+ 4 tee’s was absolutely was nothing because he sau is kurdish tee, but it was a bottle tee, £70. Never come back,

Really enjoyed this small Middle Eastern restaurant by EICC - succulent and tender Chicken Shish, tasty Hummus and super fresh Tabouleh. Great price too including drinks - very friendly staff.

Excellent traditional Turkish food,starters and kebabs were excellent.2 starters 2 Kebabs 3 alcoholic drinks for £50 excellent value.

Attending Rojava on 3 occasions now. Absolutely love the place. The food is fantastic, especially the mixed cold platter and the lamb shish kebab. My favourite is the Tabbouleh salad. The prices are very reasonable compared to other Mediterranean restaurants in Edinburgh and the staff are very friendly.

If you want a great Halal meal when visiting Edinburgh, then this place is a must visit. I had the Chicken Biriyani (pictured), which, unlike traditional biriyani, was cubes of perfectly marinated and chargrilled chicken, with biriyani rice, grilled vegetables and a side dish of okra. The portion size was generous and reasonable value for money. The waitresses who served us were friendly and courteous and we didn't have to wait too long for the food to be cooked. I will definitely go again on my next visit to the city.

Best BBQ, great place. All of us enjoy a lot. We asked them to make special Big platter and they made as we wanted. Very traditional way made for us. Though it was very busy but they done very well. We will be definitely back again for next party.

It was a fantastic experience of Middle Eastern food. Food was awesome. Compare other Restaurants in Edinburgh price is very reasonable and portions are enough. Waiter and waitress are very very attentive, also chef came to check us. Overall we enjoyed a lot.

I love Kurdistan and its people, music, culture and and food.

They are scammers; they basically made us pay an extra 10£ for nothing. The food was OK but I felt like it was very little compared to the price we paid. Personally I felt uncomfortable with the service. What made our experience bad is that even though we mentioned we had a limited budget they didn’t mention anything about 7.07£ for a service fee. They also made us pay 3£ because we brought our own bottles and they also didn’t mention that it wasn’t allowed. When we told him that he didn’t tell us in the beginning about it he said “it’s common knowledge .” That was very rude it’s funny they made us pay 7£ for that service. ONE OF OUR WORST EXPERIENCES.

Delicious authentic food and exceptional attentive customer service

Went here for dinner. Used my Itison voucher. We were treated to fantastic customer service and a FANTASTIC meal. Very attentive. A "hidden gem".

Very delicious food ( we ordered the mix grill ). Large portions. Very clean place and polite staff. Our meal was slightly late. The chef and the staff were apologetic.

I was definitely excited to try this place as I have been waiting some middle eastern food for a while. Coming from the Middle East, I know exactly how the food should be made. The restaurant is nice and cozy but the only thing I would change about the interior is to remove the string lights hung on the inside of the entrance, and replace them with something matching the rest of the vibe of the restaurant, but I was here for the food, so moving onto the important part. I started with the hummus and meat, which was good, but definitely not authentic flavors. Next was the cheese borek, which was very disappointing as it was just a basic cheese spring roll with not enough filling, so it felt like a frozen spring roll I would’ve gotten from the supermarket, and it didn’t have the oil properly drained off after frying. I also had the falafel, which were actually delicious and spot on. The bread served with the sides was also excellent! I could have eaten 10 of those breads and been satisfied. The garlic and chilli sauces given on the sides definitely were not matching the style of the food in the restaurant, but more of dominos style sauces. The authentic middle eastern sauces are very easy to make so I would definitely recommend to implement this. For the main course, I had the mixed grill. The meat was definitely delicious and very properly cooked! Definitely the best choice to make, just can’t go wrong with bbq. The sides of the dish included rice and I think some eggplant dish. The rice felt a bit too wet and the grains weren’t as separate as they ideally should be, and the eggplant dish didn’t have flavors from rojava or the Middle East, more of south East Asian flavors. I also had the fattoush salad, which was a decent salad, but it is not how fattoush should be made. My overall review on this place is that it is a good restaurant, but seeing the chefs and workers, I understand why it is not really authentic. It’s more of middle eastern food with southeast Asian chefs adding their own twist.

The Food was Delicious! We came during the peak hours so it was a little busy and we had to wait a bit but WORTH IT!!

*Posting new review as my previous review was misunderstood by the Rojava management - I had written that the restaurant staff comprised of 2 men of south Asian origin & 1 white girl - Just to be clear I was merely sharing my observation; nothing more nothing less! Of course the ethnicity of the restaurant staff doesn't matter - What really matters is the service and the food quality; both of which were average @ Rojava!* We bought a Groupon voucher. Used it to get a hot platter. Should have noticed while buying the voucher that the hot platter doesn't include any meat items. We were a bit disappointed due to this albeit it's not the restaurant's fault. The hot platter most comprised of over-fried stuff not the best option to select if you are health conscious. We visited the place on Saturday evening and it was quite empty. There were 3 staff members. We didn't see the chef but believe he is Syrian based on the info available on their website. Anyway the food was OK in taste; nothing great. Don't think we would return to this place again. Finally, the restaurant was accommodating as we had to change our reservation twice due to change in our plans. But then as afore-mentioned they weren't busy at all when we arrived so presume it wasn't too tricky for them to change our reservation.

Me and my wife went Rojava restaurant on valentine day and I requested Rojava restaurant to arrange something special for us and they surprised us. We were really happy with overall service. Perfect environment for us also food quality was perfect and delicious. Thanks to Rojava restaurant's all team members for provided us lovely service.

Excellent Choice We ordered some Meze and main courses including Sea Bas. It was really so good as the are saying in social media. Coz I booked table after seen them in social media. You’d better have something in the fridge at home, because the likelihood of your attending here is as good as you are getting invited to a Christmas party at the Birmingham Palace with the king. Ordered the kebab and I have to say it was up there with the most disgusting food I have ever tasted. The lamb appeared to be boiled, the salad was pickled and soggy and the bread was stale. When I returned the food, the server swore at me! And then resorted to a language i am not familiar with. Not the customer experience the restaurant should be promoting .... definitely won't be going back and you must keep away
