We took our mother in law out here when going for a run up the coast. A great little cafe with such friendly owners. Had cakes and scones with our coffees which were delicious. Hope to see you again soon.

The Masons Arms

02/08/2020: We only called in for pre dinner drinks, and sat in the very socially distanced beer garden. All drinks order from a Covid safe kiosk and delivered to a pick up point to minimize contact, and the system worked very well.Heaters were available for those cooler evenings. Not a huge range of beers or wines, but adequate for pre dinner drinks.

Thai Vibe Cafe

02/03/2020: We were very lucky to grab the last free table, having dropped in without a reservation (others were not so lucky later on). The first good signs of things to come were the fairly short menu (compared with most run-of-the-mill Thai restaurants) and some unfamiliar dishes. William, the host, patiently guided us to our choices based on our likes and dislikes, and neither of us was disappointed. Every dish was beautifully flavoured, with the hotter ones retaining the complexity that can sometimes be masked by chilli. Although the place was soon full and the staff were really having to work hard, we never felt rushed or ignored. Sadly, it was our last night in Alnwick, otherwise we would have been keen to return.
