Rock Steady Rum Lounge in Southwark

Go here regularly with my parents and always make sure to visit when I’m back from uni. Such a gem of place, staff are wonderful, family who own it are brilliant, food is great and drinks are 10/10. Would highly recommend !

What a wonderful friendly, warm welcome like turning up at a friends house. Put me at my ease immediately, thank you. We’d had delivery from their app for ages but this was our first visit in person. I highly recommend anyone to go visit, the food was mouthwatering. We had the chicken patties and salt fish fritters followed by jerk chicken and rice & peas. So lovely, so full of flavour. The rum punch is magnificent. Do yourself a favour and treat yourself. All the cocktails we tried were awesome but that punch is something else! Just love it. Please go and try it yourself.

Excellent food! Excellent service! Excellent rum! Home cooked food with a difference. Can't rate this place high enough! Just wished we lived closer for it to be our regular. A must visit!

I am so lucky to be living so close to this place. Me and my partner go there once a week. Delicious food perfectly spiced, very generous cocktails and the friendliest service from the owners. Very cosy atmosphere and incredible music too. The vegan options and the sea bream are amazing. Highly recommended!

Great food, great service and a nice atmosphere. I especially liked the background music, a selection of reggae and other genres that helped create an enjoyable atmosphere. The meal was a surprise celebration for my birthday and it was great to see family. If you are looking forsomething differentand laid back, this place is worth a try. (My wife chose this restaurant as it was recommended by someone from its sister restaurant (Blue Mountain) in East Dulwich.)

Just had a delivery, via Deliveroo - my first delivery since March, due to Covid but have worked til really late and just can't go out for food now - and the portions are sooo small, that I'm really disappointed. The curry goat - which is £10.50 - comes in a tiny box and has about 6 small pieces of meat in it. Seriously, I'm SO disappointed. It's tasty, but it'll be gone in a sneeze. Annoyingly, I can't see how to write a review on Deliveroo or in the restaurant's website, hence resorting to this.

The staff is very welcoming and friendly. It has a great location because it’s directly opposite the station so easy to get to. The atmosphere is good the restaurant is not big however it’s a nice cosy size and decorated with some iconic photos. The food is very tasty and priced really well. I will certainly be going there again I found a gem in the middle of south London

Excellent en tout point ! J’ai adoré l’ambiance, la musique et les plats vraiment de la caraïbe. Ils sont délicieux, de grande qualité (chapeau bas au chef 👍🏾), ainsi que les desserts.

What a great little find. I kept seeing pictures of amazing food pop up on my instagram as a recommendation, and one day I tagged someone saying we should go and visit this place. When I did, someone from the venue got back to me saying, "We would love to have you," and I was sold from that point. It took about a year for me to make it happen but I was certainly glad it did. I treated my friend to a birthday meal and we both said we would come back again, without a doubt. The starters were amazing, main course did not disappoint and we were far too full for a dessert. The rum punch went down a treat too. There is so much more on the menu I would like to try, and I am happy to continue to give them my money to do so! The staff was so sweet, accommodating and friendly. It was a lovely vibe that we would be happy to experience again.

Went to celebrate my daughters birthday and was not disappointed. The rum cocktails went down a treat, the food was delicious and dessert was yummy. The restaurant has a nice relaxed friendly vibe which makes for a great night out. Can’t believe it’s on our doorstep and this is our first visit, we’ll definitely be back. Thank you to Mel and all the staff for making our night a memorable one.
