Top waiter 😊, great service and very good quality pizza

Overpriced and Disappointing Experience Our visit to this restaurant was deeply underwhelming. The Ragu Ravioli pasta was shockingly small—starter-sized—but priced at £26. For such a high price, I expected a proper main course, especially since my partner’s pizza, which cost £21, was clearly a full portion. At £26, a simple beef ragu dish should at least satisfy as a main. While I ordered and waited for more food, my partner ate alone. To make matters worse, the side salad we ordered arrived incorrectly and had to be replaced. When the correct salad finally came, it was incredibly disappointing: basic supermarket leaves, raw walnut halves, raw figs, a sprinkle of cheese, and hardly any dressing—all for a staggering £14. Charging £14 for such a plain, undressed side salad is simply outrageous. With just two drinks each, no starters, and no desserts, our bill came to a jaw-dropping £150 for two people. The ambience and service did little to justify the cost—both were entirely average. When the waitress checked on our meal and I mentioned that it was mediocre, she simply smiled and continued clearing the table, which added to the frustration. This restaurant sets high expectations but utterly fails to deliver. Save yourself the disappointment—and the money—and dine elsewhere.

Very well done Italian cuisine. We asked, the chef is not Italian but the kitchen manager is and you can feel it. I believe imported products, the description on the menu specified it. The pizza is also excellent

I don't usually go out for dinner on a Sunday night but it's Christmas after all and it's nice to sometimes break the rules. I wanted somewhere nice, fresh and Italian to eat and I came across this restaurant near Borough market. I had the soup of the day for starters, raviolo Genovese as a main and for dessert, an affogato with a shot of Bailey's. The food was delightful, the atmosphere was pleasant and the staff were really lovely. The toilets are great as well, full of feet sculptures and they're clean. If you're in the London bridge area and you fancy an Italian. O Ver Borough will not disappoint.

We had a fantastic meal at O Ver. Great service, ambience that was somehow both rustic and modern at the same time, and fantastic food. We especially loved the Cuoppo Di Mare starter. Overall a fantastic experience and would go again.

We had our wedding reception here on New Year's Eve 2016 and have been coming back ever since. Mauro and Alfonso have styled their restaurants beautifully and have created the best atmosphere. The chef's they employ are of a very high quality. We had a pizza with fresh ricotta, partially sun dried and fully sun dried tomatoes and it had a great balance to it. For desert we had the deconstructed cannoli. They refresh the menu regularly and many of the other guests from our wedding still return. Keep up the good work.

Ambience downstairs it's something else! Carolina took care of us and she was impeccable. The right balance between friendly and professional. Food is superb and I'm italian. Will be back.

The carpaccio and pizza were good, the tortellini were superb, I would have liked a bit more in the plate. Carlotta and Chiara were polite and made us feeling comfortable.

The food at 'O Ver Borough was everything we expected, and more! We arrived a bit too early but were given a place at the counter where we were given the drinks menu. The ladies waiting on us were very hospitable and friendly. Our table host was very helpful and no question with regards to specific drinks or food related questions was too much. She was very helpful and gave advice what would work best. Both our negroni (the mescal negroni is a MUST) and red wine were delightful. The food, as mentioned was very tasteful and portions were perfect. One minor thing : (and that wasn't just our party, had difficulties understanding some of the waiters. The special menu had to be repeated by another waiter in order for us to know what the specials were. He also didn't take note of our all our dessert choices. Besides that, if you are looking for an Italian meal and expect that little bit more of your food & drinks, this is definitely a restaurant to go to.

I can say nothing but good things about O Ver Borough! We arrived a little early. We were welcomed by a friendly hall manager. Super delicious food ! To be honest, that's what we came for and that is what we've got ! Service was excellent ! Super smooth and professional service, friendly lady was taking our order with a big smile. She was able to answer all our questions . I asked for some advice about the food. Her advice met my expectations perfectly. Neat and nice establishment. when the place was full it was maybe a bit loud... Bottom line, I'm comming back !

Our third time here. First time we sit upstairs, second time outside, this time we were in the basement. We didn’t even know there were tables in the basement. The food is amazing as usual. Our server Angelina is very nice and has a very good sense of humour. Highly recommended.

I've lived in London for 30 years and this is frankly one of the worst places I have ever been to. Service is shocking, manager anonymous. And then they charge £38 for two drinks. Hilarious! Accept it isn't. Avoid. London has so much more to offer than this tinpot place

I went to 'O ver for a dinner with my colleague. The service in this restaurant is impeccable. I ordered calzone and my only critique here is that it had a very little filling. I would expect for it to be more substantial. Other than that it tasted amazing and I had a really good time.

Very good food, service was not great tho. We had a pizza and the veal, both were great! The food was served before we had our drinks, the main dish was not complete, and we waited for over 15 minutes on the bill. It's a shame, for the food only we would return!

Delicious Italian food and excellent service. I had a terrific pizza and my friend spoke highly of her seafood pasta dish. Delicious desserts, too. As for the service - so often London restaurants are let down by so-so service, but the staff here are really on it. Very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend and certainly will return.

Classic Italian cuisine, tasty bolo pasta, negroni 5/5. A few tables inside, a few outside, nice trattoria-style atmosphere, service a bit chaotic and in a typical Italian style :)

Absolutely fabulous on every level - great location, attentive staff, the best Caprese salad in London with heirloom tomatoes and wonderful burrata, and a fantastic Cinque Formaggi pizza perfect for sharing. The atmosphere was festive but not crowded or loud. Just lovely. Second visit in two weeks!

Many restaurants in the UK have outdoor dining areas. I happened to pass by this one and randomly chose this one. The decoration of the restaurant is modern and fashionable. The portions are not large, but the food is exquisite and delicious. It has a certain standard. Of course, the price is also quite high. Dining in a British restaurant, Basic starting price for 3 people is NT$2,000

Was browsing Google maps for a Napoli pizza place and this place came up in walking distance. I arrived and asked for a table for 1. I was promptly seated outside to enjoy the remainder of the evening before the sun set. The food was served fresh and had great flavors. The only thing I would have liked is for the pizza to be cooked a smidge longer. It was a bit soft and could have used 15 to 30 seconds longer. Otherwise everything was great.

I went to Rome in May, ever since I came home I've been trying to find a restaurant that comes close to matching the quality of real Italian cuisine. This has been the closest I've found so far! The food was excellent. I had truffle burrata to start, tomato and smoked mozzarella gnocchi and cannolo to finish. The burrata was just like what I had in Italy. The truffle was there to taste but not overpowering. The gnocchi was something else though. I normally pick a meat dish and I worried I'd be disappointed if picking a veggie one, however it was so cheesy and smokey I needn't have worried! The flavours were amazing from the tomatoes and the gnocchi cooked perfectly. For a meal seemingly so 'simple' (and I mean no offence by this) it was just delicious, and I genuinely didn't want any more from it... Except another plateful 😆 Service very friendly from the start and all staff members happily would advise us on menu/wine choices. The hotel we were staying at recommended we went here and I'm glad we listened. Highly recommend and I will be back when I'm visiting London again.

We booked O'ver for a 2pm meal and we are so glad we did. First time here and it will not be the last. One of the best meals we have had in a long. We couldn't fault anything about this place. 10 out of 10 for the food and the service. Thankyou

For Frenchies traveling this summer in London and arriving by chance in this restaurant, we loved the cuisine! Delicious, succulent, refined...from starter to dessert!

I love it, when you go into an empty place and want to sit at a big table, but they tell you that you can only sit at a small one. Incredible lack of customer focus, we would have called in half an hour and left and the restaurant would have made money. But now there is no money, no customer, and a negative review.

Excellent pizza. Came here for lunch. I had the Primavera with extra Capocollo and my friend had the Diavola. Both were super tasty, especially the pistachio pesto on the Primavera! Service was friendly, professional and efficient. A hidden gem in the overly touristy Borough Market.

Came here for lunch with my colleagues, and I tried the salciccia e funghi pizza, which was delicious. My colleagues all enjoyed their meal as well. Friendly and efficient service.

The sweetest and most cheerful ladies are in charge of service here. We came in just before the kitchen was closed and they still treated us kindly. We ordered pizza 5 formagi, green salad and octopus salad and it was awesome. Specially the pizza, it was insanely good. It’s a must to stop and visit if you really love pizza.

Lovely spot with incredible pizza. Perfectly cooked classic Neapolitan style pies with a slight modern, sophisticated spin on a few elements, but not in a pointless trendy way. Super chill, casual vibe you can walk into and get some absolutely exceptional food. I can wait to go back.

Excellent Italian restaurant. Quality food, top staff and service, out of 5 evenings in London, 4 of us went to dinner there. The pizza is also excellent, really good. Highly recommended if you want to feel at home.

I recently dined here and it was a letdown. The food was okay, but the service was really unprofessional. Our server wiped the wine bottle with his fingers after pouring, which is just gross. Utensils were placed directly on the table without a napkin—another hygiene issue. To top it off, they added a 15% service charge, which is more than the usual 12.5% and definitely not deserved. Limited wine options too, though the Primitivo we had was a-ok. Overall, the place is poorly run, and I wouldn’t go back or recommend it.

Brilliant service, amazing food and really wonderful event space. We had a work social in the basement room last week and it was perfect. The food was so good, huge portions and of such high quality. The service was outstanding, so attentive, friendly and efficient. I booked the event with Soliyana and I have to say she made everything so easy; very clear in her communication and adaptable for our needs - she made me look good to my colleagues. We will be back!

We had a really good dinner here but the standout were the staff. They are amazing, so friendly to us with our 2 daughters. Couldn't do enough for us. The food was great, good size portions and very tasty.

We had such a great time: it was a special occasion and O Ver really put a cherry on top. One of us was late due to work commitments and whilst some places would have been disgruntled at that, the staff was so accommodating and never mentioned anything or rushed us. We ended up being the last ones in the restaurant and even then, they let us take our time and offered a shot at the end of the night. It was a perfect dinner, I couldn’t recommend this more. Oh and the food is incredible, so really 10/10.

The staff is so nice and they treat you with a lot of respect and most of all they’re very sincere and welcoming. The food was excellent and i would recommend this restaurant to everybody in London who is looking for a romantic dinner or just a really nice place to eat.

Came here again on a Friday evening and everything from food, wine to ambience was excellent. Don’t miss pizza Ostuni - it’s totally stunning we all loved it. This was originally recommended to me an Italian friend who is from Campania, the birthplace of Neapolitan pizza, and the best burrata and buffalo mozzarella. Having been here twice, their pizzas are exquisite and generally better than the pastas. The wine list is very good and reasonably priced. The Lugana (a medium body white) we had last night was lovely and perfect with pizza and pastas.

We've been to eat at Over UK, and I was truly impressed. I hadn’t eaten a delicious pizza like this in ages. We had the Ostuni pizza made with Fior di latte mozzarella from Monti Lattari, yellow cherry tomatoes from Vesuvio, basil, topped with organic burrata from Apulia, and artisan Capocollo ham. We also had the Diavola, made with Fior di latte mozzarella from Monti Lattari, San Marzano DOP tomato sauce, Spianata Calabra (spicy salame), N'duja (spicy pork sausage paste), and basil. Both were delicious, and I must admit, in London, I have never had a better pizza. I’m definitely going back to try other things from the menu.

I loved the food, I loved the atmosphere and the very friendly staff. Now why I give it 2 stars: because they charge you the tip no matter what, no one asks you if you want to leave or if you know what it is, they see that you are a foreigner and they put 15% in your ticket like SVC. If they force me to pay for it, the waiter should tell me. In my country, tipping is voluntary and you leave as much as you want. I'm sorry but I am a salesperson and I am kind to my customers without receiving, my only goal is for them to be happy and buy again. I'm sorry but I can't recommend this site. A shame 😞👎

Amazing food! We love it when the food has so much complexity in flavour and when is something you do not expect. Highly recommended for those who love Italian food and try something special.

Italian restaurant. Possibility to eat outside (on the street side). Aperitif has just been served and the food is already being brought. The main course (£32.5) apparently does not include pasta/potatoes… Food is tasty but I have eaten better. Price/quality I think it is too expensive. The menu includes an Aperol for £8 (+15% service) with the aperitif. Apparently it is only the Aperol itself, for an Aperol spritz (on account “Santoni Sprizt) you are charged £12.95 + 15% SVC. I kindly made a comment about it at checkout and immediately received a very short and very unfriendly answer and was immediately sent away. A very bitter aftertaste. Not recommended.

The food was delicious. We went for the pizza as we had heard that it's one of the best pizza restaurants in London and they didn't disappoint. We were also impressed by the service, the staff were so attentive to our needs. I highly recommend it.

I personally believe Over is one of the best italian restaurants around London Bridge. The ambience is really nice and relaxing, service done by smile and kind people and pushy at all (it was Thursday though) and the food... italian ingredient coming from Italy (and you can taste it) perfectly cooked. Pizza is just amazing, very tasty, and easy to digest. I have been a customer in Over since the beginning, and I will keep being one as the quality is superb

We 'discovered' this restaurant when walking the river bank looking for a place to eat. This hidden gem is close to the river but worth the small walk. The atmosphere is excellent, the customer service was great, and the food was excellent. Our table was in the basement and it was a nice, interesting, experience. The pasta was amazing!

2023: 5 stars. Parmigiana di Melanzane was delicious, and the pizza was a masterpiece. We will come back! Edit: 3 stars. We came back. Unfortunately after a year the quality of the pizza has greatly decreased. By all means, it's still a good pizza, just not what it was a year ago.

Top pizza. Better than in many places in Italy

I had a wonderful meal here. I had the arancini starter, which was fresh and savory. For my main I had the Raviolo Amalfitano, which included lemon zest and noticeably very fresh ricotta cheese. It was delicious and I could have have eaten two of those plates. Service was attentive and friendly. I sat outside, and my waiter proactively turned up the heating lamps when he noticed it was getting a bit chilly.

If you are in the area...try this place....the pizzas are excellent...for the prices...they are in the London average...a margherita is £14...a icnusa of £33 is £6.50...unfortunately this is London!!!!

Good service. Good ambiance albeit gloomy in the basement. Over priced and only slightly above average food. One starter was served way later than everyone else.

High price, small portion, hardly any veg options, slice pizza on your own (they will help by giving a sharp knife, and expect my 12 year old to cut the whole pizza into slices by himself) Taste was ok, but will not go again. Not a good value and sitting in clostrophobic basement paying high price with mediocre service is not my priority.
