Sunday lunch was absolutely delicious. All home cooked and such a lovely pub.

Rock in Roll out. Had my dad's wake here. Helen the landlady did us proud. Brought back so many memories of drinking there with my Dad when I was younger.

£5.80 tonight - 31/1/24 for a pint of Stella and a diet coke.Far too much for a middling pub on the outskirts of town - Aberdare. No food served unless a sunday. Pool table the 80's want back with balls the flintstones want back...

Great friendly pub. Popped in on a Friday night as a visitor to the area, few pints of good IPA. Pub has a good mix of pool, sports screens and a traditional pub feel, along with welcoming locals. Returned on Sunday, they happily accommodated three of us and a dog in the bar area for Sunday lunch, which is highly recommended and all very reasonably priced. Thanks for good beer, food and great service.

Prices gone up 15 - 20p a pint. Most expensive pub in Aberdare area. Now £3.70, beer Brains £3.50. Make up your own mind!

There's a karaoke night on a Friday, beers about average price lots of room, pool table and a beer garden if the weather is with you

Only in there briefly but nice little pub, drinks little expensive but you pay for what you get, staff were polite and friendly.

Pub 13/13 of our Golden Mile! A home away from home for us to end the night. Absolutely love coming here. Caters for everything. Juke box has all the greatest songs, pool table was perfect and the pints went down incredibly smoothly. Ended up staying until close then stumbled home to watch The World’s End. An amazing day of drinking was had and I can’t wait until next years pub crawl! Time, gentlemen!

It's was incredibly quiet for a Saturday night. But most patrons had moved on to Aberdare after the rugby.

Good choice of ciders, friendly staff, good pool table, tidy size pub, good size bar area. I like the karaoke nights you've done Fridays. Will be nice to see some singers/bands there in the future.

What a stunning Sunday Lunch! We had three courses and everything was so well presented and served by a lovely waitress. We had lamb with all fresh veg and a homemade Yorkshire. The desserts were also homemade! Couldn't fault it at all! We live in Pontarddulais but will definitely be back!!

Went for the first time for Sunday lunch. What a lovely tasty meal, plenty of vegetables a wide selection and nicely cooked meat. The trifle was the best I have tasted in years. All served in a pleasantly decorated dining room by friendly efficient staff. What's not to like, I will definitely return

Excellent food and unbeatable service. We go there practically every Sunday.

Wonderfully decorated and very friendly. Great place to watch sports with 5 tv's and a big screen. Pool, darts and a new smoking deck. ATM and convenience store within 100 meters, and space to park in the surrounding streets.

This is one of the many local pubs nearby. Given it';s literally next door to the Legion public house (review to follow) it's very popular. Both have, in recent years, done a great deal to get updated and the Rock has expended into next doors premises such was the demand for more room. Their Saturday night Karaoke sessions proving one of the more popular locally. Indeed o one occasion, shortly after I moved in one friendly (I assumed) local told me he had, in fact, come 12 miles just to sing and did so regularly. I'd have given it 5 stars except it doesn't do a stout on tap (but they'll pour one for you from a tin mind:) )
