Robinsons Fish & Chips in Stockton-on-Tees

Go every week more or less. Fabulous Fish and Chips be it Cod, Haddock, Plaice or Skate. Cooked to perfection.

Really smooth, safe takeaway experience. Rang my order in & requested time, shouted in that i was there to collect & waited outside for them to get it ready, in no time at all it was bagged up & ready for me to pay. Food was hot & delicious. Great service.

Moving here to Stockton from Yorkshire we were quite shocked at the drop in standard of fish and chips. Seemingly a couple of miles apart and there is a world of difference. This is the first place that we've been to around here that measures up to the high standards of Yorkshire fish and chips.

on the last two occasions i have called the fish has not been as good, a lot thinner and not as well cooked , hopefully just a blip as i have always enjoyed them previously

Great variety of excellent fish which have the source detailed and prime potatoes for the best meal of fish and chips i have eaten in a long time. Highly recommended for a visit

Away for the weekend and we fancied fish and chips, checked tripadvisor and Robinson’s fish and chips was close and had good reviews. Found them easily, and they weren’t too busy, all fish etc cooked to order. Had fish (Cod) and chips, chicken bites as they no longer do chicken portions due to lack of demand, mushy peas and curry sauce. Fish was excellent and chicken bites were large chunks of chicken breast in light batter. Very friendly staff. Would recommend.

This is the second time I have visited this fish & chip shop in the last 10 days even though I only live literally 10 minutes walk away. Simply fantastic fish & chips. Nice friendly service from the two ladies behind the counter and the nice pleasant guy frying (the owner?)The portions are good but the Cod & Chips are fantastic; even better than the Mighty Cod at Seaton Carew in my opinion!!!

I would not consider going anywhere else for these great fish and chips. Freshly cooked to order, staff very friendly and well trained and always find time for a little chat. The overall appearance is spotless, staff well presented, food served in convenient boxes. The fish is beautifully white, batter thin and crispy and chips perfectly cooked. Also a wide variety of other foods are also available, and their Whitby scampi is delicious as is the mushy peas. Best in the area - highly recommend.

Orders are freshly cooked and always taken with a smile and a friendly chat. The staff are lovely and know many of the regular customers. You can order over the phone and collect if you wish. The place is spotlessly clean. The food is always well cooked and very tasty. The portion sizes are good. Homemade tartar sauce is delicious too. A great takeaway... we don't go anywhere else for fish and chips now.

These are the best fish & chips in the area. The fish is fresh & chunky & the batter is crispy & delicious. My Dad says that it's the best fish patties since going to 'Alberts' (Used to be at The Swan in the 70's!!!) & happily drives from Ingleby Barwick because they're so good! The staff are friendly & efficient & actually acknowledge you as you walk in & take your order to be cooked fresh. Martin, the proprietor, is from a family of fish fryers & the experience shows! The place is very clean & is awarded a 5 on the 'scores on the doors'. Finally, a really nice touch is Martin writes on the blackboard which fishing trawler caught the fish & the type of potatoes! Never seen that in a takeaway before!!! Open daily except Sunday & we wouldn't consider anywhere else!

We moved house recently and were regretting being away from our fantastic chippy. Although a little dearer we needn't have worried. These are great fish and chips.

If you are hungry it's worth a try. Chips are hit and miss, seem undercooked most of the time so feel heavy on the stomach. Fish is usually edible. Not the best but I'm sure not the worst in the area.

The chippy has been here a couple of years now and is still as clean and friendly as the day it opened. Every time we get fish and chips they are the same. The fish is meaty and tasty and the chips are always top notch.

Fish cooked to order and good portion sizes and very delicious. Every member of staff is friendly, helpful and efficient. Would not go anywhere else for fish and chips or scampi.
