My partner booked a meal for Saturday 16th February to celebrate Valentines Day. The service was okay, but the waiter should maybe follow the correct dress code. No atmosphere, I am sure this was due to a very large restaurant with only 4 people seated and 2 of those where my partner and I! The food was luke warm, one of the courses had to be sent back because it was cold. The chocolate mouse had obviously just come out of the fridge, you could stand your spoon up in it. No coffees offered at the end of the meal. We are now wondering if the chef had prepared the food earlier in the day and left to be warmed up? I cannot understand why the restaurant would carry on with the evening when there was only 2 tables booked. We emailed the restaurant the day after and now 9 days later they have not had the decency to reply. We will not be recommending this restaurant. Very very disappointing.

Chipped plates, awful sandwiches, no filling, no salad, no imaginative display, no scones, stale, tiny cakes, an absolute rip off

We held a 70th birthday party at Haigh Hall Hotel and the venue, service and food were excellent. Would definitely consider for any other family events. We did not stay at the hotel as we live locally. Thanks to all staff for making it such a great afternoon.

Really great meal and service. It's a must try. They have spent a lot renovating the place and they have done a brilliant job

The hotel is almost renovated and when it is completed next month, we were informed that the restaurant will also be open for breakfast and then all day until 10pm. The menu is Italian influenced with small and big plates to share. The three of us shared 5 small plates of fresh, good quality produce. Portions were generous, we particularly enjoyed the presentation of tomatoes and lemon on the table and the warm bread provided to mop up the juices.

Quick bite to eat before going on to a gig at Robin Park. Very friendly staff who answered any questions always with a smile. Happy Hour when we were there so great priced drinks and the food was lovely. Would 100% eat and drink here again if we come back to Wigan and would 100% recommend
