Curries were advertised at a medium spice being a dopiaza and a balti, neither were spicy. ordered an onion rice and it was different to any other I've had, was a funny colour and had god knows what in it, tasted funny whether you ate with or without the curry sauce. Both curries were completely different types but we had to closely look which was different as one was chicken and the other panner as my partner is vegetarian. Again curries were different types but were a bright red colour, unlike any balti or dopiaza we have had. And to add to it the panner was cold but the sauce was hot, clearly cooked at different times. The chips were in a paper bag which is normal but then wrapped in tin foil which was so hot it nearly burned my hand. Delivery time was supposed to be 8 till 8:20 but was 40 minutes late. When it arrived the driver passed the food and walked off. No enjoy, thankyou or nothing. Made 4 requests on uber for an update but no feedback so called. As expected, the usual response was it's just left. Convenient thebexact time I call it had just left. Considering the time and distance from my house its a 4 minute drive, takeaway didn't turn up for atleast 15 minutes after the call. The food was not enjoyed and I feel we have wasted our money. Never been disappointed with a curry as even an average curry does the job.

I was really looking forward to a good curry and decided to give Riverside Spice a go. I wish I hadn't. The chicken dish I ordered was so bland and the chicken was as chewy as hell. One of the pieces in particular could be used as a belt. I've basically just paid £20 for something way worse than a £6 ready meal from Tesco. This will be my first and last order from there. Sorry, but it was awful.

Ordered off them tonight like we always do order was wrong rang up spoke to someone who said they would replace it, sat waiting for an hr and half no replacement arrived rang restaurant spoke to a different person who was arrogant and rude said no replacement would be coming, I will never order off these again absolutely shocking customer service!!

We use Riverside Spice a lot but delivery was slow to arrive and what it arrived (after nearly 2 hours) it was missing one of the items (a cheese naan bread). Whilst Just Eat provided a swift refund, it left us having to sort out a replacement for our meal. Quality was good as normal.

Can’t fault this place. Everything we ordered was tasty and hot when it was delivered. A+ from me.

The food was over an hour late, (2hrs 10 mins after ordering) due to “staffing issues “ which they didnt tell me they has until the food was already late and already had my money. The delivery driver was rude, and the food was poor to be honest, For how much it cost. Ive had 10 times better microwave meals from aldi for a 3rd of the cost, the naan breads were burnt, and the prawn puri tasted of coconut and nothing else. My curry was somehow bland but really spicy. Will never go back here, again.

Called to make a delivery and the man was extremely rude and hung up the phone on me Food could have been amazing but didn't get the chance to find out

Food is ok service is dire. Do not order food from here their time scales are diabolical and nothing is ever ready on time. Usually waiting over 30mins past due time. It had happened 3 times now. Never again.

I couldn't even enjoy my food after the service and rubbish delivery. was 45mins to 1hiur late compared to original time slot. called the restaurant first time no answer. requested money back with how late delivery was and got refused. called again finally got answered man answering was rude and didn't want to tell us when the delivery driver had left as it was clear he hadn't left when we were alerted he had by the app. food was cold when arrived aswell

Ordered a lamb rogan josh got a chicken not nice at all

took nearly 2 hours to arrive, curry was cold though chips were hot. ordered garlic nan bread and got a plain one. I Phoned to ask where my meal was and was told driver had left but it took him a further 20 mins to get here, I was quite shocked at this considering I'm a 2 min drive away if that!

Very nice. I’ve had curries since I was very young. The madras is up there with some of the best I’ve had. First time ordering the food is spot on. Proper Indian food

Order was delivered 1 hour 50 mins after submitting the order. Kept being told by restaurant that food was 10-15 mins away. Food was cold when delivered. Wasn't worth waiting nearly 2 hours for - should've had beans on toast instead!!

Ordered many times from here using just eat. On this occasion our set meal was delivered with no rice. Contacted them by phone to be told it stood far to deliver the rice. Happy to take your money but not to rectify their mistake. Fod is normally ace but after this experience I will not be going back.

Items missing from the set meal for 2, called the restaurant straight away and was told it's too far to deliver the missing items. Quick to take your money but fall short when they make an error and then refuse to fix the error. Food is generally good and tasty but this experience has left a very sour taste in our mouth.

And they was items missing when I rang up they said they would give me a refund but I’ve not received 1 and not heard anything about it

Food was amazing as always but communication through the app is poor. If I'm going to have to ring the restaurant directly to find out why my food is late, what is the point of ordering through Just Eat?

For once I was disappointed with my order. It was cold upon delivery but tasty as normal when microwaved to reheat so it could be eaten. I was impressed that even though I forgot the usual instructions to the restaurant that they recalled them and cooked my food as per my normal instructions.

Food was late and then items were missing from our order. They did send the missing items out but by that time the remaining for was going cold. It was a shame because the actual food that came was delicious and would definitely recommend trying it, hopefully our delivery/missing items was a one off.

We've had take aways from here many times and the food has always been great. Delivery can be slow, so we always order early. Today our food arrived in just less than an hour. It was all hot and really tasty.

Took an hour and 20 minutes to come. Then the quality of the food was poor and wasn’t the beat taste.

Thank you for our free popadoms. The restaurant tried their best to get our food to us before my relative's last train home. It's frustrating when when we have to wait but these guy's do try their best considering how busy they can get.

Over 90 minutes late. Couldn’t get through to the restaurant via phone. The just eat app contacted the restaurant who said it was on its way- was still 45 minutes after that. No apology from restaurant. Food shouldn’t take 2hrs 30 minutes to cook then deliver. Poor service and won’t be ordering again.

Abysmal service, wrong order delivered, rang to complain to be told nothing they can do about it and to get a refund off just eat.

Usually the food is lovely, we get our takeaway from here whenever we order , today we orded food at 6:15 for a 8:15 delivery, the food came at 9:20 was over an hour late and stone cold, the kids love food from this place but it all went to waste today unfortunately

Delivery from ordering took 2 hours and 40 minutes. I wish we had ordered from elsewhere. On arrival some of the food was cold and obviously had been sat around on the side. Awful service and will not be ordering again. Shouldn’t be allowed to deliver if they cannot do so within reason.

Had to go and pick up the order as after two hours from order it still hadn’t arrived. Unable to contact restaurant prior as phone number stated that the mailbox was full. The member of staff however was polite and apologetic and did refund me the delivery fee.

Was very late, good tasting food but was cool by the time we got it. Was told the lateness but due to weather but wasn't as bad as they made out as we live a few mins down the road but after a long 10 hour shift at work didn't really feel like going out again to collect food. When I called them to see where the food was after an hour, I was told he was JUST leaving now by a quite rude man who then hung up. Asked for a part refund for it being so late. Was told no as the weather was the issue, not them. I've always loved Riverside Spice before, but now i won't be ordering again. long, shift at work to come back home to get more stress, just trying to get some dinner!

The tikka massala and the rice were very bland. Garlic naan did not taste of garlic. The rest was good.

I ordered a Chicken Tikka Jalfrezi, Pilau Rice, Onion Bhaji, poppadoms. Which all were absolutely beautiful. 2nd time I’ve ordered from here now and I’ll not be going anywhere else for a curry. Delivery was bang on time too. Brilliant place.

The delivery was a little late. However the fantastic quality of the meal more than made up for that. Would order from this place again without hesitation.

Worst food I’ve ever ordered. Meat in our curry’s was black and gristly, suspect its cheap thigh meat and the sauce underwhelming. Ghee rice might as well be plain and even the chips were soggy. We had a couple mouthfuls and but rest in the bin. Very disappointed, we had a bad curry from this place a couple year ago that had a bone in it! Thought we give it another chance but wish we hadn’t. Safe to say we won’t be using again.

Useless service. Seems pointless leaving this as they're ending their association with just eat (and being tricky with customers because they're passed caring about service) Food was lukewarm but edible once reheated.

Once again, absolutely fantastic, the best yet. I had the King Prawn Madras and it was beautiful. The kids had Chicken Korma and Chicken Jalfrezi and both of them really enjoyed it. We like the food, service and delivery so much we have it a few times a month. I've tried other local restaurants/takeaways and whilst some are very nice we definitely enjoy Riversides the most. I can't recommend them highly enough 👏👏👏 ----------------------- Fantastic food. The most consistently good takeaway we use. The food arrives hot, the quality if very good and we always enjoy it. I'd definitely recommend Riverside to anyone. 10/10
