Everything was nice,place,food,staff,service. The only thing i was a little bit disappointed i been over charge £12.00 for the beer was included on the deal

Had another fine evening here. It's a friendly, relaxed bar with loads of space and an area reserved for dining. Attentive service and excellent Sardinian food for reasonable prices.

He visitado este restaurante en un sábado por la noche buscando un lugar donde podemos comer una pizza y tomar un par de copas y una vez que entra allí hemos visto la oferta que tienen donde puedes disfrutar de una pizza y una pinta de cerveza en su elección sólo por 10 libras. . . El ambiente era muy relajado, la música era buena y el servicio era rápido recomiendo este lugar a nadie

Yo estaba con otro de 2 amigos a tomar una copa y fue increíble ambiente y buena música y estaba muy contento con las ofertas para la cerveza y cócteles. Mi opinión acerca de las bebidas es que tienen los mejores precios de bebidas en Clapham y Battersea. Y el viernes por la noche que DJ en vivo con canciones bonitas. Altamente recomendado

Have eaten here a few times recently and it is definitely one of my favourite restaurants in Battersea. Da poco trasferita in questa fantastica città, il mio futuro marito ha pensato bene di farmi una super sorpresa portandomi in questo ristorante dove i sapori sono gli stessi della mia terra. I prodotti sono di ottima qualità e rispecchiano quello che potrei trovare in sardegna in un ottimo ristorante rinomato. Consiglio a tutti quelli che vogliono conoscere e apprezzare la cucina sarda di fare una visita qui.

per un pranzo domenicale ho gustati dei buoni piatti italiani in un bel locale molto ampio e confortevole con tanto di Sky tv a disposizione dei cliente per seguire la serie A anche a Londra.

Essendo sardo non potevo non venire a mangiare qui, dopo due giorni di schifezze trovate in giro per Londra abbiamo finalmente mangiato come si deve.Per un paio d'ore ci siamo dimenticati di essere in terra straniera.La cameriera è stata efficiente e anche molto simpatica.

I've been invited to this place by friends who tried it before and they were impressed about the quality. I had to say that when I entered it I was a bit shocked as it is a big English pub with some tables where you can eat sardinian cuisine.The food is really good; we tried 4 different type of pasta and they were all good; we also had the antipasto sardo and funghi with pecorino cheese which were really good and very generous portions! Prices are average (fregola was £13.50) but I'd recommend if you like Italian pasta and beer (Ichnusa!).Good service (they offered us limoncello at the end of the dinner) and I suggest to go there if you want to do a casual dinner with friends, even with a big group as the place is quite big!

We had just one course of pasta each and both dishes were superb. Would highly recommend. Atmosphere not as good now it's also a pub but the food more than makes up for it!

Sono stata in questo ristorante la prima volta con un amica! Siamo rimaste molto soddisfatte per la quantità e la qualità ! Il personale poi molto cortese e i prezzi sono accessibili. Lo consiglio vivamente per chi vuole sentirsi a casa, almeno per un giorno!

Siamo stati per due volte consecutive nel giro di pochi giorni e abbiamo gustato diversi piatti a base di carne e di pesce. La gentilezza del proprietario e di tutto il personale ci ha fatto sentire a perfetto agio e abbiamo potuto festeggiare due grandi vittorie dei rossoblu in diretta. Il profiterol finale (autentica squisitezza) e il limoncello della casa hanno completato il menù di piatti sardi (e non solo) cucinati come in Sardegna. Consigliatissimo a tutti. Un altro motivo in più per tornare a Londra.

I went there invited by some Italian friends. We all work in the F&b industry, shefs, restaurant management, bar management. ... started with an Aperol Spritz made with a flat sparkling. ... not a problem, we didn't go there for the drinks but for the food. Starters, tooked one of each to share. Delicious and fresh, here you cannot go rong. If you go rong with the starters in an Italian restaurant, you should close! Mains, I had lamb, wich wasn't cooked properly, but. .ok... maybe I'm too fussy! Now the problem starts! We order deserts. My friends order all the same, Seadas, if I remember right. I was the only one to take the profiterole! The worse choice I have ever made! I saw that it didn't look the way it is supposed to look but I still had it. I had stomach pain for 4 days! Now I'm asking, why would you do a mistake like this as a restaurant guys? If you know that your profiterole is not fresh, don't serve it! Inform your customer that you don't have it or invent some other story! I wanted to give this restaurant a good review but a mistake like that says allot about the place and about the shef that prepares the dishes! Unfortunately, I will not recommended this place and I will not come back the second time.

Ichnusa has been a family fave for a few months now, the food is always brilliant, the wonderful family who staff the place give it the warm and friendly atmosphere which it exudes, great wines, seafood platter for two (intended as a starter but big enough for a main) is excellent. So the question is why the hell isn't is as bustling as its pricier neighbour (and former family favourite) Donna Margherita?? Ok, it's a little further out of nappy valley, it's exterior looks a little run down, but trust me, this is PROPER Sardinian/Italian food, and as nice as it is to feel "in the know" their business has all the makings of a winner, it just needs the customers. Try it, you know you want to. Well, I know you do.

Sono stata a pranzo in questo ristorante dove l'accoglienza e il servizio sono assolutamente molto cortesi. Dopo un piatto di salumi e formaggi da dividere in due perche e' molto grande, oltre ad essere molto buono ho preso la fregola con il pesce. Non sono una esperta di questo piatto ma mi e' piaciuta e la porzione abbondante. Nel menu hanno una selezione Di primi piatti una piu interessante dell'altra!

Abbiamo trascorso una piacevole serata con i nostri amici sardi, I quali già conoscevano il ristorante. Porzioni abbondanti e cibo di buona qualità. Dal mio punto di vista, l'unica nota nella quale si potrebbe apportare un forte miglioramento è il servizio di sala troppo confidenziale che conferisce alla struttura un'atmosfera troppo familiare. Migliorare o creare degli standard quali una divisa per il personale di sala (non che ti accoglie fumando appena di fronte al locale) o che rimane esterefatto (quasi fosse un peccato) se un cliente è amante del parmigiano e ama gustarlo anche su un primo piatto di pesce.Il locale avrebbe bisogno di una ristrutturazzione in particolar modo il bagno e parte del soffitto all'interno della sala. Ottima la cucina con tipici piatti Sardi fra I quali fregola, malomalloreddus, seadas e delizioso Mirto. In generale il feedback è positivo ma potrebbe puntare molto ma molto più in alto.

Here for an early afternoon midweek birthday party of four on an atrociously bad weathered day in an unprepossessing restaurant at the unfashionable end of Lavender Hill .Well ,it was excellent .So refreshing to see the more unusual like rabbit and wild boar on fifer as well as many Italian favourites one would expect.Mussels ,cold meats and wonderfully light and crispy calamari for starters.Rabbit ,sea bass followed ,mouthwatering.Good choice of deserts ,with a cocktail starter and wine with the meal it came in ,with a well deserved tip, at £45 per head .For the quality of the food ,presentation and service this was very good value indeed.How fortunate that we live nearby as this is a find to which we shall return.

A Londra c'è molta concorrenza tra ristoranti italiani: una garanzia di qualità, accoglienza e genuinità la fa il ristorante italiano ICHNUSA! Ho passato una splendida serata con la mia ragazza, avendo privacy in primis, ma ho avuto modo di conoscere uno splendido staff che tra ottimi consigli e vini di qualità mi ha reso la serata splendida. Il cibo era di qualità elevata e consiglio di provare gli gnocchetti sardi con vongole, spigola e pomodoretti ( perfettamente mantecati) e la grigliata di pesce al sale! Da consigliare, specialmente a chi ama ridere e vivendo a Londra voglia fare un salto in Italia immediato senza passare per Gatwick!

Uno dei posti dove si mangia la migliore cucina sarda a Londra, anche meglio della Sardegna stessa. Paste fatte in casa veramente eccezionali, come quelle della nonna. Porzioni che saziano già alla vista, di una bontá unica. Come sentirsi a casa senza esserlo, con un personale davvero fantastico lo raccomando a chiunque voglia mangiare cucina italiana seria e sentirsi a casa anche solo per un giorno. Great menu with local dishes, always a problem deciding what to choose, which is a good thing. Very generous sized dishes so bring your appetite. Local wines are fantastic that compliment the food very well. Staff are great and the ambiance in the restaurant is avery friendly and relaxed. Perfect for any day of the week lunch and dinner.

Una fetta di Sardegna a Londra!Non si capisce come ma i piatti regionali Sardi sono meravigliosi, si sente la qualità degli ingredienti e la freschezza nel cucinarli! Decisamente da provare specie dopo qualche giorno a Londra dove la vera cucina manca. La famiglia italiana che gestisce il locale ti accoglie come se fosse un parente viziandoti e coccolandoti senza mai essere invadente. Lo consiglierei anche le coppie perché la luce eè soffusa e l'atmosfera è romantica. Un bel 10 e lode ad una perla sarda a Londra!

This place is simply a good 'Sardinian Trattoria' in London. It doesn't aim at being fancy, and the location wouldn't help anyway. None of the food is amazing, and you won't be disappointed either. If you want to get some simple and in-your-face Sardinian dishes without spending too much and in a relaxed/friendly ambiance, this is a good option. Totally okay -- nothing more, nothing less.

I'm an Italian girl living in London and after long time I finally find a nice occasion to go and have dinner with my friends. Food is to die for ...We didn't know what to order so we end up order to many different dishes,every of that really tastefully and satisfying. The food is so fresh and so good...oh my God....staff very friendly, we end up as proper Italian girls to calling them by name Alessandro and Omar. Good wines and the prices are very reasonable. LOVE IT

As an italian it is pretty difficult to find the right place in your area and I am one of those lucky one that found it! Every dish in the menu is a taste of Sardinia, made with love and real knowledge of the ingredients. The ingredients are always fresh and never over cooked, as a real chef should do.The starters and specials are on another level!! The staff is friendly and warm, they really make me feel home.There is no place like Ichnusa Restarant Oh I forgot to mention that they cook the traditional "Porceddu", suckling pig on special orders for 5 guests minimum, what a dream suckling place

This place is like finding gold! Sardinian food, nothing like i ever tried. Don't make the mistake that you are going to an Italian restaurant. It is not. It is much MUCH BETTER! Service is outstanding!

I have been to Ichnusa a couple of time and have also celebrated my birthday: I am the Chef of Osteria Tufo and I think this is one of the best Sardinian restaurants in London. I have tried the spaghetti with "ricci di mare": guys it was a tasty dream! For main course I had a "porceddu": it was melting in my mouth. Thank you to all the staff.P.s. I had a beutiful experience having dinner in this Italian restaurant, i suggest to try the fresh urchins pasta it' s really good and you can feel the freshness.. and they have even a very good wine selection!! YOU MUST TRY!! Roberto is a Legend!!

Went here on a date last night, as was intrigued what Sardinian food was meant to taste like.The restaurant is on Lavender Hill; a fairly busy road, but the place has a well protected outside eating area. We sat inside though at the window. The decor is authentic Italian, although they had some Italian basketball playing on a TV, which did absolutely nothing for the atmosphere. Keep it simple in my book.We got a bottle of their average priced white wine, which was surprisingly good. Then we shared a few starters. First the Carpaccio di Manzo - Beef Carpaccio served with rocket and shavings of parmesan cheese. There was far too much Parmesan shavings on it, although the Carpaccio was superb. Then we had the Melanzane alla Parmigiana - layers of aubergine, baked with tomato sauce and parmesan cheese. Another quality dish, although Iam not that bothered about Aubergine - my Date was though! That said, we both agreed that the amount of Aubergine served up was far to much for a Starter. Finally we had the Impepata di Cozze - sautee, peppery Mussels served with lemon and toasted bread. These were good, although the sauce was a little overpowering. My date had never tried Mussels before so it was a first time for her. She thought they were ok, but in retrospect she should've tried Moules Marineries for her first taste of Mussels - next time!Then we decided to not order any mains, as we were getting full, so we just ordered another starter and a mixed salad. The Starter was Moscardini alla Diavola - Baby Octopus in a spicy tomato sauce. This was excellent and my Date became particularly squeamish about eating the Octopus whole, as she didn't feel comfortable eating their brains - fun times!Overall, the place is a little on the expensive side for the quality, although the portion sizes are quite generous. The staff are friendly, although one staff member went outside and lit a fag near the entrance, which I was not impressed with, as we were near the window. Thankfully we couldn't smell it, but it doesn't look professional - full stop.In conclusion, I would recommend this place, although I rarely eat that much Italian, so I probably won't be returning for a while.

I'm an Englishman who lives in Cagliari, Sardinia. I love Sardinia and it's special food traditions. I find the food to be good and the wine menu is fairly complete. They also have a great selection of Sardinian spirits such as mirror and fille e ferru. The staff are very nice and keen to educate about Sardinia. I recommend this.Also..... Great food experience! Fresh sea urchins and spectacular mains. Roberto is phenomenal. Typical food from the marvellous Sardinia Island. While the settings may be more inviting the personnel and the food are exceptional and the atmosphere is relaxed and very pleasant. Highly recommended!

I am from Sardinia so I appreciated a fully regional menu in this restaurant. Although the venue is not easily reachable (20 mins walk from Clapham Junction), I wanted to give a try.When I enter the restaurant, nobody is available to welcome the customers (it's Sunday afternoon, obviously quiet but..). I wait 5 minutes and eventually a waiter turns up.I order the rabbit (a difficult dish to be honest) but, relying on pretty good reviews, I expect something decent. The result is quite depressing: the potatoes are tasteless and raw inside, the rabbit leg is ridiculously thin, I struggled to find meat to eat. When I express my disappointment, the waiter talks to the chef and apologises that no large rabbits have been delivered this week. I politely say it's fine, he offers a mirto but I don't drink liquors. I expect a little discount on the bill, at least no service charges. On the contrary, I pay 19.50 (12% for service) for a dish they even agreed it wasn't great!Sorry guys, this is not the way to deal with customers in London. Because it's clear I won't be back based on the promise "next time the dish will be better."I would have appreciated a very symbolic compensation (a dessert if the liquor is not suitable, which may be common for Muslims for example).

I've been to this lovely restaurant yesterday with a friend. I had been curious to see if it was really as good as the reviews say as I'm half Sardinian too and I loved the food!It is really superb! Big yummy portions, nice staff, warm environment.I will definetely come back soon!

We went here for dinner tonight just chance, well how delighted we were. Food wonderful bruschetta is huge could be shared and veggie risotto was amazing!! Was able to use taste card but not on specials which was fair enough.We had a lovely evening atmosphere is great and staff are very friendly.We will be back !!!!

Tutto eccezionalmente buono: dagli antipasti ai primi (pesce fresco e pasta fatta in casa, una gioia per il palato e lo stomaco) fino ad arrivare al dolce.. Non potevo aspettarmi di meglio! :) Poi qua a londra è molto difficile trovare ristoranti dove mangiare bene e non spendere molto! Rapporto qualità prezzo 10+. Quindi grazie mille a voi.. e al meraviglioso staff che ha reso la nostra esperienza ancora più bella!Se passate per londra, non dovete perdervi l occasione di mangiare qua,assaporando una cucina Sarda DOC. Eat tasty, eat Mediterranean as you can eat here at Ichnusa (and please STOP eating Pizza as a meal: Pizza is only a snack in the Boot!). This Restaurant could easily have Italians customers only, in the sense that they didn't change anything of the real Italian Cuisine to meet local tastes as it happens! It is really like eating in Sardinia or in Italy, if you prefer. Fish "molto fresco". Their olive oil, for instance, is flavoursome but not "heavy" ad so a guarantee for all their dishes...The service is fast; the Staff is kind and friendly, as for the Latin tradition. Beer Ichnusa MUST be tried! Prices reasonable. Also a warm Italian atmosphere...Back soon. (N.B. when I'm abroad I usually prefer to enjoy the "local" food and I try to avoid the Italian Restaurants but... this was a beautiful surprise!).

I've been here with three friends of mine for lunch in December and I can say that I've been able to find some real Sardinian food. Everything was very good, from the starters to mains and fishes. Personnel was really kind and friendly. I can suggest to everyone that wants to try some real mediterranean food to go there, as for me, i will definitely go back!

The lady with the ladle transports authentic Sardegna to Lavender Hill, and we have "Ristorante Inchnusa." The "seafood Fregola", prepared to order, is to die for; perfectly complemented with the local white, the "Vermentino Sardo"; presented with grace and charm in a relaxed and homely ambience at a price that is as honest as Gianfranco Zola's performance on the football pitch. More gems from the island to be discovered, so can't wait for the next visit.

Wonderful experience at Ichnusa.We just moved to the Clapham area so we are excited to try out the many restaurants in the area. We had bruchetta, swordfish carpaccio, antipasto and two pastas for main. All was delicious! Good portions and full with fresh authentic sardinian flavours.Wines are affordable and overall a very good value for money.Service was very friendly.If I had to give one point of constructive criticism it would be the music. Would prefer a more italian choice of songs on the background instead of the music channel that was on.We had a lovely night, very good start to our discovery of the area. Ichnusa has two more regurlars!

Went in there tonight and found the place with three other occupied tables - all the diners were wearing their coats/fleeces/heavy jumpers at the table because any central heating was having very little effect and the front door kept blowing open and letting the cold night air seep in. Couldn't quite see my own breath but not far off! Anyway, we had been attracted in by an advert for "2 for 1 cocktails, all day" offer - these were perfectly fine and not too expensive in their own right. But when I came to pay it turned out that the offer only applied id you are having a meal at the same time - as far as I'm concerned, that's false advertising as nowhere was this obviously stated. Not tried the food - no meals on the menu for less than £11 so I'd advise trying your luck elsewhere.

Went for dinner with my friend on a Friday evening - the restaurant was dead, only us and two other tables of two/four.Service was great and it was fairly priced, especially as I used a tastecard, but the food was quite average. Calamari starter was lovely but we then had the risotto and venison pasta for main and wasn't particularly impressed. If you're in the area and have a tastecard then maybe pop in, otherwise i wouldn't rush back

Having found this Italian restaurant on Taste Card with 4-5 star reviews and on Trip Advisor with the same, I was looking forward to a home cooked Italian meal. I advise Taste Carders to be cautious about making an order – after collecting the order the waitress returned to say that the 2 for 1 offer has to match exactly – our starts were fine but my partner ordered a past and I a fish dish and it had to be two from the same section of the menu for the main??! I objected and was told by the chef who overheard, that it was fine. My starter was the baked aubergine. Whilst this had a fantastic taste it was a like a soup – it was swimming in tomato source – the texture was not minimal enough to use a fork. Less sauce is definitely required to make this dish sand up to the popular Italian dish made in so many other restaurants.I ordered the sea bass, which the menu states is served with vegetables. When I ordered it the waitress said it comes with salad O_O however I wanted hot vegetables so she asked the chef if I could have spinach – that came out very blank – no garlic or seasoned taste. I was horrified to find that the fish had been fried in a thick crust of salt! I tried to peck at it but gave up after 3-4 mouthfuls. I queried this and was told the case is made of rock salt and that is how it is cooked in Sardinia. Also that in future should I come back I should ask for my fish to be off the bone. The suggestion here was that my concern was excessive! I felt sick– it not only ruined the dinner but my appetite for the evening. Today my Italian friend commented on my check-in on Facebook, congratulating me on going there as he is from Sardinia and always goes to the same restaurant when in London. I spoke to him privately and asked about this vile salt tradition. He was alarmed and showed me the recipe online (attached) – it says clearly that the salt is used to seal in the flavour and must be removed when serving!!! He also confirmed the same from his upbringing and said the restaurant is bang out of order if they served my fish with the salt crust on – it's not edible!I would not recommend this restaurant. Gross.

Atmosphere, people and above the italian food are amazing, excellent and delicious! For sure I'll come back soon!!!

Popped in for a quick bite to eat on our way home having walked past a few times and all I can say is a wish I had "popped in" sooner!! Absolutely delicious, authentic, Sardinian home cooking. The Burrata was wonderful and the wild boar papardelle was probably in the top 3 pasta dishes I have ever eaten (the other 2 being in Italy) - literally to die for. The restaurant is not a fine dining atmosphere by any means, but it makes you feel like you are in Italy in a relaxed, local establishment with Italian football on the tv and wine bottles stacked in every corner of the room, which I think really adds to the authenticity of the experience. This is a family run establishment and the food was brought out to us by the patriarch himself - and we were delighted to be able to compliment him in person. Feel very lucky to have found somewhere so brilliant right on our doorstep and will be returning imminently!

I went there last week and I ate my favourite Sardinian dish: malloreddus in tomato sauce with sausage and saffron. There, at Ristorante Ichnusa, they are hand-made following the traditional cuisine with just the most genuine ingredients used. The taste in fact was the tangible proof that only quality products are used by the head chef Roberto.The pasta was just amazing! It tasted sublime...the salami and cheeses were amazing as well, accompanied by the crunchy Carasau bread. The Sardinian wines matched perfectly with the food and the restaurant offers a comprehensive wine list of Sardinian wines, not easy to find all in one same place. The Seadas was my treat of the day.. an unbelievable great dessert...now that I have experienced it, it will become my favourite Sardinian restaurant in London.

The service was horrible, not friendly at all and the food was rather average and expensive. The tiramisu, however, was excellent, but could not make up for the rest, especially when they miscalculated our bill at the end. I will definitely not be visiting again.

Hellowe discovered Ichnusa 3 weeks ago (went there already twice and will come back tonight) and it was a very good surprise. You will find a welcoming team and amazing italian food. Everything is homemade (pasta, tiramitsu...) and with the best ingredients (the seafood is excellent). The food is tasty, original and typically "ichnusa". It is my first rating on trip advisor and I give a 5 stars. Nicolas & Sarah

I have been here three times and I always felt as I was at home. Service is amazing and professional, food is delicious from starters to dessert, and the portions are surprisingly huge. I hardly recommend this restaurant if you wanna taste the real Sardinia food. You will love it!

Yesterday my boyfriend and I have been to Ristorante Ichnusa! Everything was awesome! Friendly service, amazing Sardinian homemade food, all accompanied by the real Queen, Ichnusa Beer!!! And as dessert a delicious Tiramisù with Mirto!!! We'll see you very soon Roberto! Thanks for everything! :)

Con amici siamo andati al ristorante ichnusa..abbiamo mangiato una deliziosa insalata di polpo seguita da un ottima spaghettata di ricci! Direi che le 5 stelle se le meritano tutte!

Literally the best Sardinian food I've tasted, service was just as good and the staff was incredibly friendly. The environment was also very welcoming. Highly recommended.

I've been there with my North Italian parents, that loved the place more then I did. It took quite a while to reach you, but it was more then worth it, lovely food!

It was top. It was quick and delicious and everyone was really friendly. It felt as though I was invited over for tea with close friends. Overall, it was a very warm atmosphere.

I have recently visited Ichnusa with some friends and I must say it was amazing because it's really hard to find such good Italian food and even harder to find good traditional sardines food so it was a great experience and meal!The fish and seafood selection is fantastic and fresh.I highly recommend this place to everyone and I will be coming back very soon.

Siamo andati al ristorante ichnusa io e la mia ragazza, già dalle recensioni sapevamo di non restare delusi ed infatti è stato così !!!! Il cibo era squisito e cucinato perfettamente.Essendo noi sardi e quindi abituati ad un cibo di qualità è stato come essere a casa! Sopratutto per quanto riguarda il pesce. Ottima la seadas! Il personale gentilissimo, è stato un piacere scambiare due chiacchiere con lo chef grande appassionato del suo lavoro, torneremo sicuramente. Consigliatissimo!!!!!!

The best I have visited, highly recommend! The food was amazing as well as the environment and service I would love to come back to have a nice meal. The decoration of the restaurant was beautiful and I really enjoyed coming here with my friends and I didn't have to wait long for my food or beverages either - staff was lovely thank you for having me.

My partner and I had a great meal at Ichnusa this evening. Splendid freshly cooked food. The outside appearance of the restaurant belies the superb quality of the food and the service. Will definitely be visiting again and recommending to our friends.

I viseted Jchnusa on a Saturday night with a few friends and was realy good . The food were outstanding because are realy typical sardinyan and freshly homemade and they iven offer a good selection of wines obviously from Sardinya . Really good service and atmosphere . I highly recommend this place as I visited other sardinyan restaurants and are not comparable . I will definitely come back .

I went with some friends on Sunday the six june,we had a wonderful lunch the nice place and the staff was very nice and friendly, the food was great with very big portions,a good choice of wines all of excellent quality,for a good lunch or dinner i can only recommend it
