Went for Sunday lunch superb value for money for a thee course meal, both the beef and belly pork was excellent and the home made cheesecake’s are really good

We went to Emma's on Saturday for a surprise party, despite being nearly 30 people in the party the service and the food were absolutely amazing. Staff were very attentive. I had king prawn for starter followed by pasta roma which was super tasty. Can't wait to go back and thanks again for a wonderful evening!

First time at Emma's since changed from Desi's. Not disappointed. Lovely food and friendly attentive staff. Will be back for sure.

The desi offers a Italian menu and set menu offering great value. Service is fast and efficient, I’ve also enjoyed a few take aways too in lock down. We got two drinks each, two starters, two main courses and the bill come to £38 so great value considering I went for king prawn starter.

Very nice and the gravy was lush on the Sunday dinners and the Yorkshire puddings are huge and it’s was very fluffy and light and a bit crispy but a party from that absolutely delicious

Lovely food and the pizza was massive although could maybe have done with being left in the oven a tiny bit longer. Great prices too, I had 3 courses and a kids meal for my daughter, 3 drinks between us and came to less than £25.

My 4th visit to this fabulous restaurant which I now ensure I go to when in the area. A million miles from the plastic chain restaurants, really friendly Italian staff, great decor and atmosphere and fantastic food. Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for and this is quality. It was packed out on Friday and this speaks for itself but even as a solo diner I was treated brilliantly and not kept waiting. Superb.

In the past I have had takeaway food from this establishment, and it was fantastic. As it was getting on and to late to cook, I decided to have a sit in meal. It was quiet. The service is excellent. A great menu to choose from, and quite reasonably priced. I thoroughly enjoyed the 3 course special. I was never pestered as in previous comments about drinks. I highly recommend this little gem of a restaurant in Winlaton, and I will be back.

Lovely Italian food and good value if you do the early bird deal. However, the staff clearly expect customers to spend a lot more on drinks. They ask you constantly if you would like another drink and encourage you to get a large wine, or a dessert, etc. They actually look quite put out if you say no to this and have a bit of an attitude at times. This is really quite annoying and a real shame as the food is really good. Unless you get a takeaway, in which case expect your food to be cold.

Sooo impressed with the Desi takeaway Sunday lunch. The portion size was very generous, extremely good value for money. The meal itself was delicious and you got a lot of meat. Loved how much gravy you get too. Giant Yorkshire pudding was lovely. 100% recommend and will eat from here again.

Visited on Thursday 6th August, really nice friendly greeting, staff and management are so nice, food is sublime, and the have good offers on too, just ask and they will talk you through them, food was piping hot and top quality ingredients, nice decor and ambience in the restaurant, totally recommend

The Sunday lunch was nothing but outstanding , you will not be disappointed . We went early evening with a family group of 10 we were met by a very friendly staff member who showed us to our table.There was a tea time special venue which we all chose from. I selected Garlic bread and what a surprise I got when it came a 10 inch plate full which was excellent. Main course i chose a calzone which was huge and tasty.Every member of our group enjoyed the fantastic food and drinks.

Visited on a Friday night with my boyfriend. Very welcoming staff and attentive. Angela the waitress was very helpful and charismatic. She couldn’t have done more for us. They had mussels on the special menu which were so tasty please do them again! The wine was lovely, food was exceptional and the staff were fantastic. Will definitely be returning.

If you catch this place at a quite time it is the place to go. Go at 1 o'clock on a Sunday afternoon and it is a nightmare.We used to eat here often until they put table's in the gangway (e.g. the 2 seater Infront of the bar and one nearly in the doorway), it is a logistical headache just trying to go to the toilet.The chef does not read the orders properly, I ordered a Sunday dinner with no gravy, it came with gravy, I ordered a plain stake and chips only, the stake was covered in some sort of oil and green things.

We love it here and often go to celebrate birthdays with family. Food is always tasty and service is great

Came here with quite a large party but had booked in advance so the tables were arranged for us with a highchair... ordered our food and decided to go with the specials menu all our meals came together, perfect temperature and absolutely delicious food. Good ambience, fabulous table service and the staff were polite, cheerful and very knowledgeable about the menu...would definitely return again

Turned up at 7.40 on Sunday just as they were about to close to get takeaway pizza. I apologised for my late arrival . Staff Could not have been more helpful. Pizza , salad and desert where great. Thank you!

Absolutely fantastic food here at Desi’s. We recently celebrated my Grandma’s 90th birthday party here and what a fantastic place to spend it...all of the food was served fresh and hot, big portion sizes with good quality service to add. We couldn’t have been happier.

Fuimos a celebrar un cumpleaños familiar, 27 de nosotros. El servicio fue bueno y sorprendentemente rápido teniendo en cuenta el tamaño de la fiesta. El menú era más o menos italiano estándar, pero estaba bien preparado y porciones generosas. Definitivamente iría de nuevo.

First time visit for us was Friday Lunchtime, it had been recommended to me by a work colleague. What can I say, very impressive, the service was exceptional, friendly, efficient and you genuinely got the impression you were very welcome and more than just another customer.

This is a restaurant which is local to me, so I do frequent it from time to time. On my most recent visit for dinner with family and friends, I was extremely impressed with the high level of service from the attentive waiter; a young man who knows how to treat customers well.

Cannot speak highly enough about our first visit, Wednesday night and the place was really busy but not a problem for all staff, they were brilliant, the food was perfect, from pizza's to belly pork or squid cooked to perfection and well presented, prices are very reasonable too, will definitely be returning soon.

Hate to burst anyone’s bubbles! First time ordering a takeaway. Ordered Chicken and Mushroom Risotto with a garlic and cheese Garlic Bread..... NOT a Garlic and cheese Pizza. £13,95. Okay. Ready on time. Surprised.. NO EFT POS, sick of businesses not offering this Millennium type of payment.... smacks of dodgy tax payments .... cash can be hidden... hate hate hate this Got home , pizza???? Fine but faced with a tasteless risotto, bland , all chicken in uniform pieces what the ef is that all about. This is supposed to be a 5 star restaurant ... god only knows who the clientele are but I have had Chicken and Mushroom Risotto all over the world, I make it myself..... much better.... won’t be going back !!!what I paid £9 for plus the cost of the garlic bread, £5 was disgusting. Why don’t they give a pottle of grated cheese as a free gesture and put some flavouring into their risotto something to make it tasty..... come on Winlatoners, I was born here, travelled the world... stop putting up with ..... crap.... much prefer the Chinese and the Indian Takeaways... there again .... cash only....... hmmmmmm..... why ?

Hot evening decided to try local Italians desi it was absolutely chokka but shown a good seat .service was excellent for a apsolutely full restaurant. potato skins starter wife had a pizza i had a very delicious pasta .then wife had sticky toffee pudding i have the cheese cake. with a bottle of wine shared great value and great food. Never lets you down this restaurant. All for 40 quid

Great food , lots of it, value for money great staff. A great range of food choices to suit all. Can take away if you can't handle it all. You just have to try the place for yourself especially if you like good food and a good size portion.

Recently went for the set menu. I ordered garlic bread to start which was the size of a full pizza but was lovely. I then had pepperoni pizza again it tasted beautiful. Service fantastic presentation lovely and the restaurant its self is lovely and clean. My only negative would be that they don't offer bruschetta as a starter on the 3 course special meal. Most Italian restaurants offer it as part of the deal.

Cenamos aquí por primera vez en una noche de sábado con "media" expectativas y era más que gratamente sorprendidos. Comida deliciosa y un servicio eficiente y cordial. Nos trataron con una copia local de un piper, ya que era otro cumpleaños diners que fue un detalle encantador. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente y dado que es local para nosotros sin duda regresaré! !

We went here last month as a last minute thing on s Friday nite. We normally go into Newcastle but couldn't be bothered .We ordered and the starters came during mine I found a coarse black hair we informed the waiter and were offered s replacement and declined this .the mei came and as was nearly go used I the bottom of my pasta sauce another black hair. I have ocd and was disappointed at this we I formed the waiter and the little women came over and accused us of putting the hairs I the food ourselves and not to come back absolutely disgusting behaviour we've been all over the world in holidays and ate food with out problems this place is a pokey little hell hole of a cave also you don't need to ask someone if they want another drink every 2 minutes and seeing as though you use cheap rola cola the answer was always going to be no !!!! We've never been.so insulted we don't appreciate the accusations of doing this ourselves as we wouldn't and don't need money taken off bills period the little women with curly hair has a shocking attitude I've only ever bee here once before the incident and wasn't impressed at all

My partner and I fancied a night without cooking decided to go to desi again tried the 6-95 deal really good we both had potato skins.great as usual.i had pizza wife had pasta followed by coffee a really great deal excellent meal and service I had a beer wife had lime and soda.total cost less than £20 fantastic will be back again.

Hemos estado tanto para una noche y los italianos domingo tradicional y las dos veces no nos decepcionó. Las comidas son recién hechas y el almuerzo de los domingos es fabuloso. De salsa sabrosa gruesos azotados por un budín de Yorkshire y que, no puedo ver la mitad de la cena. Verdura fresca y experimentados. Asientos es cómoda y las bebidas no son tan caros

No me sorprende esta pequeña joya está tan ocupado, la comida ya sea tradicional cena domingo o platos italianos, nada en el menú te decepcionará. Ha sido varias veces y nunca me ha decepcionado. El personal es atento, educado y procuran por favor. Los menús están bien de precio y la comida es sensacional. El único aspecto negativo es que podían hacer con algunos ventiladores para hacer circular el aire, se pone bastante cargada, pero en general, un sitio magnífico.

Maravilloso servicio y comida maravillosa. El restaurante tranquilo a las 4:00 p.m. del viernes. Mi hija y yo tuvimos la mariscada en salsa de vino blanco, atún, calamares, mejillones y gambas, tuve dos tés y helados, mi hija tenía una pinta de agua de soda. 23. 50 en total. Tienen una buena selección de vinos. No puedo esperar a volver.

Found this Italian restaurant by chance in Winlaton. Had a three course meal for £6.95. Delicious . Staff friendly, welcoming and helpful. Surroundings comfortable and nipping clean. Worth a visit.

Although not a traditional italian Tratoria restaurant in decoration, the food certainly is. Well cooked and well presented. Value for money. The staff are friendly also which makes a good food experience.

La intención de venir aquí para unos pocos meses y finalmente pude en fin de semana. Tuvimos el 3 platos especiales que a £6. 95 es una ganga! ! Las pieles de patata eran muy sabroso y no grasienta, servido con dos salsas muy agradable. Entonces me pidió una pizza, ¡era enorme! ! Buena base delgadas y muy sabroso. Mi marido tenía un plato de pasta y dijo que era uno de los platos de pasta mejor preparado ha tenido. ¡volveremos! !

Decidimos probar después de una recomendación de otro amigo momia. Reservamos para comer el domingo en el mismo día. Poco uno (5 años) optamos por patatas fritas y pizza margherita de menú infantil y helado de fresa para terminar. Elegimos panceta de cerdo y ternera del menú almuerzo de domingo. Gran podíamos mezclar y combinar del menú general, domingo y uno italiano.

Llegamos en Newcastle (Winlaton) en domingo por la tarde y nuestros amigos nos sugirió que nos vaya a Desi para comer tarde. En oferta, además de su menú normal, es una cena tradicional asado a 6 libras británicas. 95 por 3 campos - sí £6. 95. Algunos de nosotros fuimos minestrone hasta helados hechos en pieles de patata y otros y un chapuzón. El minestrone hasta helados hechos era agradable y gruesas y muy sabroso. Había 3 carnes para el plato principal - 2 de cerdo con chispeante y el resto de nosotros tenía carne con verduras y pudines yorkshire. Helado para el budín, no recuerdo qué más.

Un grupo de nosotros han sido un par de veces en una noche de sábado, la comida es fantástica, no me puedo quejar, pero el servicio ha sido empeorar progresivamente en cada ocasión. Ahora después de la última visita que hemos decidido pasa por un tiempo este fue finalmente el camarero masculino debido a ser muy hosco y antipático, estoy seguro que otros han experimentado este. sin duda probaría de nuevo en el nuevo año esperamos que el servicio ha mejorado.

Visitamos el pasado fin de celebrar un cumpleaños! No nos decepcionó, la comida era excepcional, pasta suave y sabroso vino decente! Me gustaría decir que los tamaños de porción enorme, aunque nos dieron las sobras como llevar a cabo!

Qué puedo decir, estado aquí unas cuantas veces, y cada vez que he estado, es de 10 a 10... en lugar de comida tienen un día especial a través de la en que bien vale la pena. También ha sido un domingo para comer el domingo y de nuevo en el clavo... la bebida es a un precio razonable. Muy amable y servicial, pero la comida es perfecto

Recomendado por un buen amigo y resultó ser todo lo que ella dijo que era. Excelente comida italiana y un servicio excelente. También nos han dicho que hacen un fantástico asado tradicional inglés domingo, que es muy popular entre aquellos en el área local. El restaurante no es en Newcastle, pero en el suburbio de Winlaton. También tome efectivo, ya que no aceptan tarjetas de crédito o débito en el momento. La próxima vez que visitemos el noreste, sin duda encontrar tiempo para comer aquí.
