Food was cold and chicken was grissly

Joke of a place ordered food for delivery and after it didn’t turn up was told it wernt there problem it was down to the delivery driver jokers

food was hot fresh and chips not greasy bonus as they very tasty too and lovely polite delivery guy credit to your company food was fantastic

£10 for fish n chips and there was a cone of chips and a fish finger. The two chicken burgers that had so much mayonnaise I could have refilled half a bottle. I ordered four burger meals and only got one drink. What meal doesn't come with a drink, especially when that's how you advertised it on your other delivery service? The chips were half-cooked, and the "free" cheesy chips were a joke. I paid £40 for that; how horrid. Service has gone downhill.

Avoid this place! I ordered online and it said it was open and they were preparing my order. Then I got an email saying my order was being cancelled. They took my money and then said we will give u a refund in 5 days. Won’t ever order from here again. What a con.

Me and my husband ordered from the place twice first time my husband food showed up but mine didn’t.The second time I order the nuggets and chips the nuggets showed up but not the chips so will defiantly not order from here again

Absolutely beautiful food.Ordered from here a few times and it never disappoints! My new favourite take away. Delicious food,it’s always nice and hot on delivery and large portions. Lovely,polite and helpful staff on the phone too and really nice delivery drivers.Give it a try! You won’t regret it.

Chips were lovely the fish on the other hand was terrible!! Both pieces of fish were horrid.

Fish was delicious, the batter was lovely and crispy on the top, a bit soggy underneath. Chips weren’t the best. We found a lot of small bits of chips. Mushy peas were very liquidy, would have been nicer thicker… all in all though, we very much enjoyed our meals, thank you Rio’s!!

The place looks amazing, the photography is great, and everything appeared clean and well-presented. They weren’t wearing uniforms, but given how nicely the store was set up, I was willing to overlook that. Unfortunately, the food was a massive letdown. First off, the cod looked completely off—the texture, the color, everything about it made me question whether it was even cod. I didn’t eat it. The batter was super thick and dense, and there was a strange discoloration to it that just didn’t sit right. Even my brother commented on how thick and heavy the batter was. I wish I had took a picture now. The chips looked good at first—white, crisp, deep-fried properly. But then I saw the young guy behind the counter scooping them out with a dirty white bowl that looked like an old cereal bowl, covered in black specks. That immediately put me off. It ruined what could’ve been decent chips by making them seem unhygienic. My girlfriend didn’t enjoy hers either, and she was starving. I ended up eating a few chips and throwing the rest away—literally tossed the whole fish in the bin. For the price, it definitely didn’t deliver. Way too expensive for something so badly done. I had second thoughts when I walked in, but it was the only place open at the time. Should’ve trusted my gut. The name *Rios* suggests something authentic—maybe a place with roots, tradition, and pride in its food, like a long-standing family-run business. So it was surprising when the reality didn’t match that image. The experience felt disconnected from what the name implies

The mini fish and chips were cooked fresh. Fish was on the smaller side even for a mini. Taste wise the fish and chips were ok.

Great place to eat fresh food nice people

Amazing 🤩 stopped off after a night out in town, not expecting to see a fish and chip shop open after 10.30. We didn't need to look at the extensive menu straight in with Cod and Chips x3. Our food was delicious, hot and fresh 😋 This has to be one of the best chip shops we have visited for a very long time and believe me, we have visited a few.

Based on recommendations I had Cod and Chips from here tonight. Sadly the batter on the fish was soggy and liquid inside. I could actually scrape uncooked batter off with my knife. The chips were a good portion but again were anaemic looking and undercooked. Won't be returning again.

It used to be a good service with good food when this first opened by the family owners I know who were competent, caring and empathic. Now is not. Chips wasn't cooked properly which can cause food poisoning. Staff not friendly. They don't listen. Lack of empathy.

Strange delivery, because the delivery person called me to take delivery, but I was already sat directly outside and so was he, he only saw me, when he looked ( I'm presuming in his rear view mirror ) 😂

spent 5.60 on cheesy chips it was tiny size of a small cone selected mayo but none was put on. ordered 2 piece sfc only one came. very disappointed first and last time ordering from here

over 30 minutes late no apology from the driver. The cod was inedible as you couldn’t get the grease proof paper off it, the curry sauce was cold and congealed , probably would not use again all we offered was £3 refund fir late delivery

We've ordered there before and will continue to do so. However, this time round, we were a little disappointed. Chips were nice, but we were missing a portion of them and the chicken in the wrap wasn't cooked very well. Everything else, the chicken drum sticks, battered sausage and halloumi dippers (Definitely Recommend) were just as exquisite as usual

I had my first visit today to Rio's and I was very impressed with customer service and how I was greeted by AMER who served me with first class customer service and not just that but offered me free mixed meat and there homemade sauces Chill sauce with and tang and homemade garlic mayo.The meat was moist full of flavour.This is first time I have ever been offered free food.Fantastic customer service and engaged in conversation with me while they cooked my fish from fresh.I would highly recommend Rio's there fish is super fresh and moisture crispy batter the chips was great and curry sauce beautifull.Thanks for making me feel welcome see you soon.(Gym Jay)

was told on the phone when we called after about an hour , that it's late because the order got mixed up so they had to start again . did not say anything about giving compensation. the quality is not good.

Initially the food that was delivered was completely the wrong order and I quickly called the restaurant to let them know and they were so kind and able to re-send us the correct order. Food was amazing and delicious when it arrived. Just Eat delivery driver was so rude and wouldn’t accept that the food was incorrect and walked off leaving me to sort it out. Just Eat was responsible for the order so it was on them that we were given incorrect food. I would 100% order again from Rio’s 🙏🏼😊

Ordered a mixed kebab with chips and a large cod and chips the order arrived on time which was fine but the food was horrible, the chips were more black then any other colour. I think it was the bottom of the barrel batch. I paid £30 for this and if I was being honest its not worth £10. I ended up throwing all the chips away and cooked my own. Everything was a disaster will never order again .

usually very nice maybe you had an off day. but the chips was not good this time. lots of bad ones. I had cheesey chips, at the price they were I expect more than about 20 chips and I didn't like the fact that they were then microwaved to melt the cheese. I asked for no salad on my chicken kabab burger, but got it and the batter was burnt on my halummi bites. usually very nice, but on this occasion not so much. sorry guys but you need to pick up the quality.

While working in the area I noticed a queue waiting for food most of the time. Need to point out it is 22:30 on a Thursday night. They must be good. Most chip shops are closed by 8 pm. Walked past 3 other takeaways to try this place. It was worth it. Owners said they been running it for just over a year. One was cleaning while the other making food delivery orders up. I wasn’t too sure what to order then I saw them cooking fresh fish. I HAVE ONE OF THOSE 🐟🎣 It the size of my forearm. We were chatting and I told them it’s nice to see a busy shop. I’m expecting good things. I told them Dads lane is my go too place when I’m this side of the city. Well I can say my fish was cooked perfectly. The batter nice and crispy. Steaming the fish to perfection. The Lamb Donna meat looks excellent. I be coming back to try that. I must point out on the counter was chopped oinos in vinegar. Took me back to bedders. Highly recommend. Be prepared to wait because it is cooked fresh.

my cat hasn't been eating very much lately and felt out of options, thought i would try giving him a kebab, he loved it and his appetite is definitely better now, he's asking me to order it again

Fish and chips weren’t freshly cooked - soggy batter. Missed an item from the order. Delivered the wrong cut of fried chicken. Disappointing.

Food wasn’t that that hot and the chips tasted like they’d been sat there a while - the food was always good but the last 2 deliveries have been disappointing

only issue I had was with the wrap and tikka kabab in pita. it gives you the option for salt and vinegar on your chip. but both didn't come with chip. so why is there an option? if there wasn't an option, I would've ordered chip aswell. confusing to say the least.

5 pound for cheesy chips I can literally count 12 chips shocking high prices for the tiniest portions kebab in nan might aswel have just asked for a nanny bread full on robbery

The food was fine, but ruined by the fact that I selected the no vinegar option... but still had my fish drowned in vinegar...

i'm sad to say i'm disappointed. the food today was terrible, I was not able to eat it. it tasted like it had been microwaved up from the night before and the portion sizes have got even smaller. not happy.

Order was a bit of a let down if honest. I don't order too many Takeaways so consider them a bit of a treat. Half of this one went in the bin. The Haddock was hot but tasteless. The chicken was dry and looked like it had been cooked and sat for ages. The chips were fine.

3 Meals chips were all undercooked. Donner meat was burnt and dry. Chilli sauce watered down packaging,I get is recycled, however falling apart and squashed isn’t good for the customer. Kids chicken poppers were inedible as they were tiny and overcooked

food was great shame the nann wasting freshly made ( that's not a negative? because the food was very nice, and definitely made up for that. I will definitely be back.

Have ordered from here so many times and the food is always lovely. However, this time we ordered 2 large fish and 1 small, we received 1 large and 2 small. When I called to say that we had received the wrong food they fobbed me off with saying that one of the small fishes were fatter therefore is classed as a large. Absolutely not it was tiny. Won’t be ordering again. Terrible customer service.

I always order from here , but this time The roe I ordered was like mush , it was as if it was a frozen piece , battered then thrown into the fryer absolutely disgusting & went straight into the bin , the rest of the food was ok

On the main road through cotteridge on the left heading out of town--run by a couple of Asian lads-- their chips are as good as any greek or English c run chip shop they are polite friendly and often having.banter with each other but a first class service from them-- I. bought southern fried chicken and scollops really was nice tasty filled the void couldn't fault them, the lad asked did i want a sausage to which i replied no but he said oh well you might as well have it-of which I wasn't charged for on my initial order--their prices are are good also -- they stay open till late well worth a visit give them a try👍👍you won't be dissapointed

Food was nearly an hour late and freezing cold. The sauce had congealed so was rock solid and the driver did not care to explain why he took a 40 minute detour despite the restaurant being 10 minutes from my house. Chips had been sweating in freezing cold so were both wet and cold. Will absolutely not be ordering from here again super disappointed

chips were not fresh the fish lacked flavour and the kebab meat was over salted. nann was nice though. I very ordered here a few times and it's usually been good but this was a grim offering.
