Oder on the app and food was not rady. When I ask the stuff how long is it to 3 minutes then the food was ready and bag was there for five minutes and they didn’t give was Waiting there 13 minutes in the bag was there then I asked how long she looked at the bag and she gave it to me bloody shit service she was just standing on the till. 02/05/2025 Time 22:58 till 23:16 Just Waste of time and the food was getting cold there.and they have parking cameras fitted in the parking if you stay long you get bullied ticket

Went from my favorite restaurant to the worst. It's been 2 times in a row that I had rotten and stale chicken in my chicken & rice box. The smell is so BAD i had to throw it all away. Please monitor for safe storing because this is probably the cause of bad storage.

Had their half chicken with spicy rice again and it was absolutely sensational as, so juicy flavourful and good portions.

Order from here often. Today the food they sent me was not fresh at all and stale and looked like from yesterday.

It would be good if they accepted card payment, as not many people carry cash around these days. Chicken grillets have gone smaller in portion compared to what they use to serve. Otherwise it's a nice place with quality of food. Nice parking area outside.

Just wanted to say im a regular customer i usually order 2-3 times a week. But the quality has been going downhill. Hence why i been ordering once every two weeks or so and it keeps going downhilll. The garlic sauce is just getting more watery the grande burgers gone small and it cost £9 for a meal. The wings today came burnt. Everytime it used to come with enough bbq sauce marinate but now its just like dry or somedays burnt or some days just oil not proper sauce. Ive spent about almost £500 at this shop last year from many apps not just ubereats but deliveroo and your own app. Wont be ordering anytime soon again. Disappointed as this was my favourite shop for the wings. The bbq flavour isnt just sweet but had a kick to it. But yh just gone downhill now overall. This was one place where i didnt mind spending a bit of extra money compared to chip shops because the food was very good quality and tasty but not anymore.

An absolute gem for anyone who loves Peri Peri chicken. My all time favourite is the Frango Burger with Peri Fries. The chicken is consistently cooked to perfection: tender, juicy and flavoured just how I like it. If your a fan of peri peri cuisine, Rio’s is a must visit. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

Update: Favourite sport to come to. Rancho burger with peri fries, best peri fries in my opinion. Everytime I come it doesn’t disappoint, always consistent. Highly recommended. Well done to the staff for the friendly experience and perfectly cooked food. Must try

AVOID!!! First time customer, waited 32 minutes for a burger, chips and a mini burger. 22 minutes later I asked where is my order, they said it’s coming. 26 minutes after I got my order I doubled checked it obviously because they took that long there obviously not good at there job and look what I see there missing my mini burger. I said it’s been nearly 30 minutes and you still can’t give me my complete order. So I waited another 6 minutes for the mini burger. He did apologise but I’m hitting my self “why didn’t I just go McDonald’s”. Save your self a headache and a long wait, just go McDonald’s or Pepe. DO NOT GO HERE

Ordered takeaway and really enjoyed the food. First time trying Rios and can honestly say it was better than Pepes where I have been going for years. Heard some branches are better than others but this is a good one.

I never write reviews for any places I visit but this place definitely deserves it and would definitely recommend.Always go there with my family,food is very nice that's why I was shocked to see someone rate them a 1 star but I guess we all have our own preferences regarding food taste.Seriously though the flavour of the food is very nice and made to your taste and liking.And I definitely give their staff and customer service 5 star's, always smiling and make you feel welcomed always asking how the food was, and I need to give a shout out to a staff member called tilak,very nice guy with a polite attitude always smiling and very attentive.

I’m a regular customer of this store. The customer service from Avais is always on point. Would definitely recommend as food is always fresh and tastes great.

Typical this place is a 5 star rated takeaway. Never have any complaints. But unfortunately today my food was not up to standard. I ordered a Chicken and Rice (Hot) with fries and it was not up to the usual standard. Chicken was not flavoured at all and was bland, not cut into fine pieces like normal with a healthy amount of flavouring sauce. As I said initially, this place is usually 10/10. But on this occasion it was far bellow the usual standard.

This is the go to spot for peri peri chicken. A must visit for anyone in the area. The wings and quarter chicken were very flavoursome and juicy. Also the service from all the staff at the front was top tier.

One of the best places in Birmingham myself and the family love to come to. We come here nearly 3-4 times a month, so much so the staff know our regular order. The service is impeccable and the staff can never do enough. Highly recommended.

Was just in the area looking for some quick but good food and found this this branch in lozells. By far the best piri piri food if have soo far. The customer service is just as good as the food. Anshul and Avais made me feel at home and made sure I was well looked after. Highly recommend if your in the area

Update on review (26/11): Surprised to have had unconventional contact from the store owner this afternoon, however, the exchange was constructive. The owner was pleasant, polite and respectful, kindly advising he simply wanted to learn from the negative review so that he & his team can take necessary action (if/where appropriate) and avoid any slack. Sharing my thoughts, one being that it may well have been the rice that was off, he explained the flavour of my order (Mango & Lime) is quite strong, sometimes overpowering, though he appreciated this was my regular flavour/order so I'd be familiar with its taste/scent. He explained that the flavour comes as a powder & it could have been poorly mixed as every other ingredient is freshly made thus can't have been the rice. To conclude, he apologised and expressed wanting to send a fresh, repeat, order this evening to make up for any inconvenience though I did say whilst this was super kind it is completely unnecessary. I tried to, and would like to reiterate again, this experience isn't one to turn us away from future purchases & thank you for taking pride in your quality of food, maintaining HMC certification & providing a respectful service! May Allah continue to put baraqa in your business (ameen, thumma ameen)! P.s. Thank you for the food delivered today, it was absolutely spot on! Original review 25/11 - 1 star: Ordered via Just Eat earlier, the burrito tasted off & smelt like it too. I'm not sure if it was the rice or another ingredient within it but I couldn't eat it so threw away. Unfortunately it's already made my stomach upset. Disappointed as there's very few HMC approved outlets and this place was a regular choice.

Have visited a few times. Food has been ok but on a few occasions staff have missed items from my order which has been frustrating.

The food was so yummy Alhumdulillah, the chicken and rice was so saucy, the restaurant is warm and spacious and extra 10 points to the nasheeds and no music. Got served by anshu and another waiter they both really nice.

Ordered peri peri with lemon herbs, chicken swimming in sauce. But they added chilli's into chicken. Did not want chilli. Zero allergen control. Complained. Guy said they marinate chicken in chilli. Why do they have mild lemon herb. No mention of chicken swimming in chilli?

Rio’s Peri Peri Lozells offers a quick and efficient takeaway service, even during busy hours, which is a plus. However, one downside is that they don’t accept card payments, though they conveniently have a free cash point inside. As for the food, the whole chicken platter is reasonably priced, and while the chicken itself is tasty, the wings were a bit overcooked and slightly burnt, which detracted from the overall experience. Despite this, the reasonable prices and flavorful chicken make it worth trying if you’re craving peri peri. A few improvements in cooking consistency could elevate the experience further.

Ma sha allah food at Rios in lozells is always spot on! It's tasty fresh and full of flavour! Customer service from the guys is always good...very pleasant and helpful. The 24 min drive is worth it..the inside is very clean and has plenty of seating for families as well. They also sell Palestine merch and all proceeds go to help those in Gaza. Definitely a regular place
