Ricks Mexican Street Food in Calderdale

The staff are rather slow, we waited a while to be served even though we were stood about a metre away from then. However, the food is absolutely to die for.

Stopped off for Burritos before the cinema, and really enjoyed the food. Would strongly recommend the beef burrito and loaded fries! Generous helpings and good prices. I look forward to coming back to try the jalapeño poppers!

Rick’s is a family favourite and is our preferred method of bribery for our 14 year old - she will do anything for a Rick’s! For our latest visit we had burritos and tacos and they were amazing but my favourite is still the fully-loaded nachos because the cheese sauce is the best thing in the world!

My recent dining experience at this restaurant was nothing short of a heart-wrenching disaster. It has left me feeling deeply wounded and utterly devastated by the shocking level of incompetence, disrespect, and outright callousness displayed by both the staff and management. To set the stage for this culinary catastrophe, I ordered a cocktail, priced at a staggering £8, and eagerly awaited a delightful treat. However, what arrived shattered my expectations and crushed my spirits. Instead of the beautifully crafted cocktail I had anticipated, it was unceremoniously plonked in front of me in a pitiful, disposable plastic cup. My heart sank. Summoning the last shreds of my optimism, I delicately expressed my disappointment and kindly mentioned my previous visit when this same cocktail had graced my senses in all its glory - a magnificent glass adorned with tantalizing fruit garnishes. But the response I received was like a dagger to my soul. The staff member, rather than acknowledging their blunder, unleashed a barrage of accusations, painting me as a liar. As if that weren't enough, the chef, in a scene straight out of a nightmare, chose to respond with vitriol. Profanity flowed freely as they retreated to the kitchen, leaving behind a trail of disbelief and humiliation. The pain of this moment cut deeper than words can express, as not only my table but also an adjacent family bore witness to this excruciating spectacle. It was a gut-wrenching display of unprofessionalism and a brutal assault on basic human decency. Desperate to salvage some semblance of dignity and hoping against hope that this was an isolated incident, I hesitantly decided to let it slide. Perhaps the chef was having a wretched day? But any hope for redemption was swiftly and brutally crushed. Approximately 10 minutes later, the owner himself emerged, not as a peacemaker but as a defender of the indefensible. He brazenly justified the chef's cruel behavior by citing an alleged deluge of customer complaints. As if this were an excuse for such a heinous disregard for the sanctity of a paying patron's experience! My plea for a refund for the cocktail, a sad imitation of what I had ordered and untouched, was met with a response that cut deeper than any insult. The owner didn't just refuse; he screamed at us, a symphony of anger and contempt. The final blow, striking my heart with the force of a thousand sledgehammers. This restaurant, with its shocking display of incompetence, cruelty, and outright hostility, has forever scarred what should have been a joyous family celebration. My family had traveled thousands of miles to share this moment with me, and it was irrevocably marred by the gaping wound of this abhorrent experience. I implore anyone reading this to spare themselves the anguish and despair that this establishment inflicts upon its unsuspecting patrons. Avoid it at all costs, for it is a place where hopes and celebrations go to die, leaving only a trail of shattered souls in their wake!

Popped in for lunch on a day trip to Hebden Bridge. Really busy with takeaway orders. Chicken dirty fries and beef burrito were delicious. No complaints at all.

Seriously, what is the matter with you?! Website says close at 8pm; Blackboard outside your restaurant says 8pm; Well guess what? 6.15pm; yes, that's an hour and 3 quarters before you're advertised closing time...you're shut!! Same as a previous review, what are you thinking? We came down to Hebden specifically to eat at your restaurant only to find that you couldn't benares opening. Well thanks very much. It also looks like you don't give much of a s**t about negative feedback, so we won't even bother trying again. And rest assured, we will.spread the word.

Despite other rude and demanding customers on another table complaining throughout our meal and lacking any understanding or compassion for staff, we had an excellent meal. Whilst service wasn’t as fast as it could be, it was clearly a busy period and as was repeated throughout our experience; staff were in training. Food was excellent and staff polite and attentive. We will be returning.

Service extremely poor. Told to wait to order as were understaffed. Waited 10 mins just to order. Then told would be a further 15 mins for food. 5 orders were processed before ours. Had to chase up as it took so long. A further 10 mins to come. We ordered a sharing nachos but received only a single portion. We challenged this and they said we hadn’t ordered a shared one until we produced our receipt. They then said they could only refund, no apology for their error. Staff claimed the error was a trainee error but looked like the senior member of staff that took the order. Most rude and unhelpful, would not recommend to anyone who wishes a good experience or is in a rush. Most disappointing and will not be returning to Ricks Mexican Streetfood!

Came here for a quick lunch, didn’t disappoint. Unreal scran and boss service. Good tunes too laa. Keep up the good work

All platforms said open til 8 on saturday, arrived at half 7 and was shut. Never seems to be open any other time either

Amazing Mexican food, ricks is a great place, great decor and atmosphere. Huge menu with lots of options. Our group had burritos, tacos, dirty fries and loaded nachos. All really tasty and huge. It’s great place to eat give it a go

The burritos served here are to die for - I recommend this place to anyone visiting Hebden. My favourite filling is the chicken or pork!

The food was ok but thought it was expensive at £25 for two burritos, one chips and two cans of drink. There is a 20% charge on top of the prices on the board. The tables weren’t wiped down between customers (it’s messy food) and the seating area was cold with no heating on. Lots of people eating in their coats. You walk along the side of the kitchen to get to the toilet, loads of food just left on the floor , not swept up.

I’ve been here loads and they do a seriously good burrito! I like the halloumi and jackfruit options. I’ll be back again!

Just been for a quick stop in hebden and came in to this place for a bite to eat. The food is absolutely incredible and has some of the most flavourful pulled chicken. The design of the place is amazing inside and the staff are really friendly. Will be coming back to try more of the amazing menu soon.
