All the food we ordered in the evening was delicious. Small plates were really good sized portions- suggest start with 3 dishes between two and then order more if still hungry. Amazingly fresh cocktails and wife loved the large non-alcoholic cocktail selection. The 20%off when staying at The Bristol was also a pleasant surprise so will be looking at repeating this combo of hotel and Ricks for the next treat weekend. Ambience was perfect: background music but not so loud that we couldn’t have a conversation. Thank you and highly recommend. (We had beef brisket toastie, KFC (Korean not Kentucky), triple cooked chips and cauliflower wings).

I came for some birthday drinks and we had such a lovely time thank you! We got espresso martinis and fresh as a daisy which were delicious! The atmosphere was great and the staff were so friendly- particularly Hugo, James and Bert. Will definitely be returning!

I had the best birthday drinks here, everyone is so welcoming you feel like you are being served by your friends. Hugo made the yummiest cocktails ever. We had fresh as a daisy and would defo recommend. Bert and James gave exceptional service. There was a DJ in the corner because it was Saturday and he was funky. I think everyone should go to Ricks at least once in their life.

Reasonable price for such atmosphere

Had an amazing time at this riverside spot! The atmosphere was perfect, and the drinks were even better. Valeria was fantastic, her suggestions from the drinks menu were spot on, and she made sure we had everything we needed for a great experience.

My friends and I ordered gin and tonic and espresso martini. They were truly excellent. The manager, Valeria, welcomed us all and made us sit near the fireplace in the warmth. She was very kind and attentive to our tastes. Thank you! My friends and I will gladly return.

I came in for Sunday brunch, the espresso martini was amazing, and the service from Alice and Lorcan was great.

First time visiting Rick's,very comfortable decor,amazing cocktails and uber friendly service

Has potential but needs better training for the staff. Took 25 mins after being seated to receive a menu, it was reasonably busy, maybe 75% of the outside tables were occupied but no one inside. The staff that seemed to be allocated inside were stood around doing nothing whilst the 2 guys waiting outside were busy yet not very attentive. Ordered steak and we were not asked how we would like it cooked. Steak knives didn't come out until the food was cold. Which is a real shame as the chips were delicious and the steak was tasty when we finally got to eat it. Took 20 mins to receive an ashtray after asking and the dirty plates remained on the table for the half hour after our food was finished. Empty glasses on the table and no offer made for another drink . Planned to stay for cocktail after the food but everything Took so long we went some where else instead. Overall the price for the food was okay but considering the service it was not worth the wait or the money spent with that in mind. The whole meal Took nearly 2 hours and in that time we had one course and one pint. Doubt we will be back

Ricks bar is a really nice bar friendly staff, But it is table service only, they want tobe a cashless bar, if you pay cash, you have to pay the correct money because they dont give change, 😢 😬you also pay a table service charge on top of your drinks, which then makes drinks quite exspensive, i paid over 8 pounds for a single vodka cranberry and soda, because they didnt have any black currant, the cocktails are 12 pounds, and all cocktails are in martini glasses. Just giving people the heads up.

I came here a few nights ago for a few drinks with my friends. It’s very nice and chill. The staff are excellent especially our server Bert! He was professional and seemed very happy to work here. Bert was very helpful and friendly, great customer service! I’ll definitely be returning.

Went for some drinks with a few friends, and have to say service was amazing. Bert was so good with us, top notch service and very smiley and chatty. Good vibes for a chilled drink or even to get the party started! Give this man a raise!

We enjoyed our Valentine’s Day here. The atmosphere is wonderful. It's very cozy to sit by the fireplace. The brunch and cocktail is fabulous as well. Lorcan provided exceptionally friendly, lovely and professional service. Highly recommended! Will definitely be back next time.

Maybe our expectations were too high. Thoroughly disappointing experience. You pay a high premium for it too. Obviously won't be going back.

Had a vegan toastie & chips at Rick's today & I can honestly say it was absolutely delicious, the staff were friendly, highly recommend!

Called in for lunch pre christmas with friends, food great and service from the staff too. Place was a bit cold unless you were seated near the fire. Very quiet at lunchtime so no atmosphere its probably much better on an evening. One of my friends saw cockroaches in the toilets, glad I didn't.

It was sunny afternoon on the harbour side and I said to my girls “ooh this place looks gorgeous” and wow it was! The wonderful staff were attentive, charming and kind. Being 3 women and a baby having a few drinks which then turned into tapas we appreciated the fuss. We really felt at home here and we can’t wait to come back! Thanks Jamie especially who went above and beyond.

Looked beautiful from the outside and got me eager to visit it. Came here for Sunday brunch and ordered the strawberry daiquiri and an aubergine shakshouka. Unfortunately, the food was very mid. The eggs were heavily overcooked, and I could barely break through them. Despite not giving any specific instructions for how I wanted my eggs to be, I believe there’s a difference between done, well done and so cooked you can barely chew. (And I assumed they’d be soft and gooey by default?) It was probably just the one dish that was a miss but I’m not sure if I’m willing to pay that price again for food that’s way below average. The music was nice, they played delightful covers of the good-old classics but it was so loud, we struggled to have a conversation at our normal volume.

We went for brunch and the food was delicious. Beautiful spot to sit both inside and outside. The cocktails were fabulous as was the service. Relaxed and elegant, will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

Rick’s is a really trendy bar by the Bristol Harbourside. Had a few cocktails after dinner here and they were delightful. They even make a very 007 themed cocktail, the Vespa martini which you must try! The live music that evening was also sensational. The decor is very chic and the drinks are amazing. Great atmosphere and overall flawless service.

Went for brunch. Really disappointing. The mushrooms with the crumpet were not cooked. Pancakes really burnt and sent back followed by a long wait for a replacement. Live music was good and waiting staff were pleasant but the fod did not represent good value for money.

Ordered a pint of cola only to be told it was only available in 330ml cans. Fine I said, I was happy to have 2 cans. When the pint glass came it was over half filled with ice cubes. I asked for the ice to be removed and the glass to be topped up properly, only to be told it would cost me an extra £3.50 for another can. What a rip off, when the bill came I was charged £7 for in effect half a pint of cola, there were never two 330ml cans in the glass. Save your money there are plenty of other options nearby.

Where to start! With an amazing and welcoming team the ricks has it right from the moment you step in, the atmosphere feels like an escape from the city, as though you are somewhere abroad. The food is always perfectly curated and the drinks are just out of this world, with the bartenders having expansive knowledge in their field, specific shout out to Noah, Jamie and Akeem, they all seem to create a lovely atmosphere and space.

Wanted to visit for a quick after dinner drink yesterday. A group of four adults and a baby. Were turned away and told we couldn’t visit as no under 18s allowed after 6pm. Crazy when we were happy to sit outside, the bar was very quiet, etc. if this is your policy then it should be clearly publicised. We had walked across town specifically to visit Ricks.

I like to be here on every Thursday to enjoy the live music. Yes, it is expensive compared to other bar. But the service, food and vibe is exquisite. Check out the singers and performance on their website. Sit outside to enjoy the harbour view, too. Chill….

Great cocktails and Korean chicken.

My friend and I went to relax after an event. Very friendly and attentive staff BUT I was charged the same price for a virgin mocktail and not even pre warned about this! £14 for a bit of soda, mint and a teaspoon of sugar. Disgusting! I WILL not be a returning customer.

Stayed in the Bristol Hotel so Rick's quickly became our favourite spot for drinks. Before and after dinner and tried the brunch menu too on my birthday. Bar is excellent (the Old Fashioned is amazing) and the food is amazing. Table service was quick and staff are all friendly and helpful, even got a glass of champagne with my birthday brunch! Best of both worlds, a more relaxed and classy experience but close enough to the waterfront to get the atmosphere

"Sorry no under 18's" .... He's a tiny baby that's asleep, you're empty and we just want to sit outside for a drink.

We pictured this place to be bustle due to there advertisement but when we arrived it was very quiet and the live music was too loud, so much so we couldn’t hear the waitress speak. We were also expecting more for what we paid. Portion sizes were small and very salty. We can see this to be a nice place for cocktails in the evening but would not return during the day.

Located in the city centre, "Rick's" is a hidden gem that offers an exceptional dining experience. I recently tried their seabream and seafood chowder, and it was amazing. The seabream was cooked perfectly, tender and flavourful, while the seafood chowder was rich and creamy, packed with shrimp & and fish. The restaurant pays great attention to detail, with beautiful presentation and friendly service.

Don't accept children even with adult and even if adults are the parents. They said : we don't accept children. Well, we left and hope that you will do the same. If I can rank it with 0 star, I'll do that. Hopefully for them they get 1 star sure to the rank system

My friends and I went to Rick's bar yesterday and were lucky to experience their new brunch menu. Loved the entire atmosphere with live music as we ate probably some of the best food I have ever had.

Great food, attentive staff, and delicious drinks. They also had live music playing which was a delight to hear on a Sunday afternoon!

The food in this place is so delicious! The steak was to die for - you have to try the lemon meringue pie cocktail! Staff was lovely. Live music was magical ✨

Good but not worth it with the current staff. We came here for drinks and food for a birthday. Food was actually really nice, combined with the drinks, we really enjoyed this although the kitchen was closed so the menu was limited (and some of things we ordered were not available) That being said, the waitress was rude and dismissive combined with a really lacking knowledge of drinks and food menu, and when we brought this up, we were told “this is an expensive place” as if we shouldn’t make a complaint with her attitude or knowledge! It being expensive should make it even more of a reason to raise her attitude! Actually really disappointing as visually and quality of food was good, I wouldnt return with the attitude the waitress had as it just belittled the fact we paid £15 service charge to have that comment made.

Emily and the rest of the team really looked after us. We tried some of the signature cocktails and small plates, all delicious. The service is what made our time at Ricks and would very much recommend it and will return next time we are in Bristol.

Terrible waste of money. Don't bother. A clue, is the wasteful gas burners OUTSIDE NEAR THE GATE! not warming anything up except the planet. Then there's the plastic hedge and the plastic table flowers. Nah. Ecocide springs to mind. RICK owes us.

Great cocktails, reasonably priced and fantastic service.

Came in on a cloudy Saturday evening and was immediately met with a beautiful bar, warm atmosphere, attentive and knowledgeable staff and fantastic drinks. Recently reopened after a refurb, Rick's is well worth a visit for a drink and sharing plates with friends.

The best place I have eaten in Bristol. Incredible steaks and excellent beer. The service is 6 star, the heated outside seating has stunning views of the harbour. On top of that the prices are very reasonable! (apart from beaver town)

Is one of the most elegant dining venues in Bristol. Overlooking the harbour, it is the perfect spot to sit and drink local ales, draught beers, cocktails, and good wines. They also have a delicious a Vintage Afternoon Tea served every day.

The smallest bowl of sweet potato fries possible. At £4 it was literally cost 20p a fry. Never buy food here.

Actually part of The Bristol hotel, but prices for the same food from the hotel bar is marginally cheaper. On the Tuesday night when I was in town on business the bar was dead. But sitting outside watching life go by on a summer's night meant I didn't notice. Staff were attentive, my fish & chips arrived promptly and were well worth the money; for example, homemade tartare sauce, not an HP sachet! Beer selection is local and I would've loved to have tried them all, bar the fact it was a school night!

It's a bit odd for a hotel bar. Great viewing for the big match however seating is sporadic and there is a lack of atmosphere.

An eclectic ensemble the shore bar offers everything from sky sports to live music, coffee to cocktails and real ales. All slap bang on Bristol Harbour side.

Really nice bar next to the waterfront. Nice drinks and nice meal options. As a very nice outdoor seating area. Indoor decor is nice.

Its a nice chill.out place not too loud like the other places by the harbour side. Live music every fri and sat and the cocktails are great. The staff are friendly.
