Absolutely amaaaaazing food! The takeaway afternoon teas are to tie for, the cakes an home made soup delicious, and the Saturday Supper Club when restrictions allowed were amazing too! Definitely treat yourself to a takeaway afternoon tea this lockdown! You won't be dissapointed.

Had a take away afternoon tea for two. Simply could not fault it. Sandwiches and cakes were fresh and tasty. Beautiful scones and the chocolate brownies were probably the best we’ve had ( and we have a lot of experience of afternoon teas!) A lovely treat and can highly recommend. At £24 for two ( including pork pie!) the value for money is outstanding - would have happily paid more.

The best afternoon tea. Let me make that clear. Everything was just so gorgeous. The lemon cake has to be tasted to be believed. Everything I've had on the menu is so tasty. The "very good" bacon sandwich needs to be upgraded to "most excellent". Service is friendly. They even have a card machine now! What more do you want?

This is one of our go to places for food, we love it here. Food is always tasty and well priced, we especially love the Afternoon Tea, which is one of the best around. My friends now request to go here for afternoon tea :)We recently went to the Supper club and it was amazing, as a Vegetarian its sometimes hard to get a thoughtful menu - so was a lovely change and was faultless.

The afternoon tea is the best I ever had . Had afternoon tea in lots of lovely Hotels and on Crusie ship . All the food is home made and a very high standard love it .

Beautiful homemade soup and fresh warm bread and butter. Excellent coffee and a piece of the raspberry and coconut cake. Absolutely melt in the mouth !

This is the best Afternoon Tea we've had, the staff are so friendly and the food excellent, a great selection of sandwiches and cakes and the scones are the best I've ever tasted. A lovely little cafe, highly recommended

Afternoon Tea for Ladies day for Ascot 2020 was beautifully made and was easy picked up. It was a really nice treat during lock down mum and dad loved it I will definitely order again.

When ever I have had the opportunity, I have enjoyed afternoon tea at Rich & Fancy, so for my friends 50th birthday garden party I knew not to look further than there. Rich & Fancy did not disappoint, the sandwiches have so much flavour and the scones and sweet deserts were divine, there was plenty of food to go around. They also personalised a number of the cupcakes for us .They definitely put the icing on the cake for our party x

Ordered a Father’s Day tea collection for my parents and my in-laws - went down an absolute treat with everyone!! I must admit I was reluctant to hand them over as they looked so delicious! Have also used Rich and Fancy for my husbands 40th birthday cake (accompanied with cupcakes), and for a ‘no special reason treat’ delivery of lockdown cupcakes, all of which were fantastic - wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!

Well we have just picked up A Father’s Day tea for My husband and Dad to our son.What a lovely treat. Sandwiches so fresh, scones yummy and as for the cup cakes made by Rich and Fancy. The pork pie and quiche also look delicious and I am sure with a cup of Yorkshire tea in this treat will all go down well with Rich and Fancy shortcakes. Well done Rich and Fancy Horbury.

I have visited Rich and Fancy a handful of times now. Every time it has been superb. During lockdown I ordered a take away afternoon tea for my Auntie's 81st birthday. She was over the moon. The scones are absolutely beautiful, the best she has ever tasted. Highly recommended! Keep up the fantastic work.

Ordered afternoon tea to be delivered for my dad's 85th birthday he was overwhelmed with it I had a salad which was the best id ever eaten definitely 5 star quality

I’d just come out of hospital and it was my birthday. My friend from Horbury came to my house with the most delicious, amazing, much needed gift. It was one of your afternoon tea boxes. Everything in it was delicious and plentiful. It fed myself and my husband for 2 days. You even did it with no fish ( I couldn’t have eaten any of it if it had been near any kind of fish). Unfortunately I couldn’t share it with her due to strict lockdown in May so as soon as you open to eat in, I have promised to return the favour, or when the weather picks up again we could now eat it in her garden. Thank you so much.

We have been regular customers at Rich and Fancy for many years and we love the food. Richard prepares delicious food which is always beautifully presented. We recently ordered afternoon tea for two using a gift voucher. We collected the box from the cafe, it was quick and easy to collect. The afternoon tea contained a selection of sandwiches and cakes! Delicious food at reasonable prices and very family friendly. We had the afternoon tea at the weekend. it was pre-ordered, all beautifully presented , all boxed up ready for collection and absolutely delicious. We'll definitely use this friendly and accommodating service again whilst we're waiting for them to be able to fully reopen. Highly recommended!

I ordered 24 cupcakes for my son's 6th birthday and we ate every single one they were absolutely gorgeous cupcakes 100% recommend. Will definitely be ordering again. Probably the best cupcakes I've tasted yet 🧁

I've eaten here for a quick lunjc, afternoon tea and for the supper club and it has always been absolutely amazing. Top quality food made by more than just your average 'cafe' owner, but an amazing chef. The cakes are unbelievable (try the lemon drizzle, omg you will be addicted). Their afternoon teas and birthday cakes have made each one of my families birthdays special during lockdown, amazing every single time. I really can't recommend this place enough, I would travel a long way to get food and cakes this good. Thank you Rich & Lou! You have lifelong customers in us.

I’ve been here many times, with family for lunch and to the supper clubs and with friends for afternoon tea. I have also bought take away food during lockdown. The food is always fresh, locally sourced, superb quality and reasonably priced. Beautiful presentation with attention to detail. The afternoon tea is out of this world. The cakes are always beautiful, baked and finished to perfection and great value too. In the last month I have pre ordered a box of cupcakes and a slice of Victoria sponge - both were perfect. We ordered an afternoon tea box from Rich and Fancy for a special birthday a couple of weeks ago and it was absolutely fantastic. The lemon drizzle cake (without sounding too cliche!) was to die for! Meringues perfect, a lovely selection of sandwiches and the cupcakes were lovely. Highly recommended - we cannot wait to order again.

I didn't even know that this place existed before lockdown, but I do now! Their buns are amazing and their afternoon teas are absolutely gorgeous, I think I'm addicted!! And the delivery and service they are providing during these strangest of times is brilliant! Very highly recommended!

My husband and I are in three months lockdown. Our neighbour and her twins very kindly gifted us a box of cakes today from Rich and Fancy in Horbury. It was a wonderful surprise. I visited Rich and Fancy with my mum and my two children today, and the afternoon tea was one of the best we've had anywhere. Can't wait to visit again soon!

Well we were not disappointed with the breakfast made by Richard at Rich and Fancy. Attention to detail with how we wanted our eggs. Even our boy who is a fussy eater was able to choose a bacon sandwich and toast. We will definitely be back. 5 plus star rating a great start to Sunday.

Beautiful food, lovely service, the kids had a great time making the cupcakes. We were so glad to have the leftovers to take home!!!!

Richard’ s menu was first rate, prawns with a difference hot and cold were so yummy I could of had more. The salmon cooked to perfection and the pear tart a sweet ending. Definitely recommend Rich and Fancy for a lovely supper or even afternoon Tea. Nothing is too much trouble.

My friend and I decided to treat ourselves to a Horbury Afternoon Tea. Booked table and my friend drove over from Barnsley to partake. Booked the table a few days before, arrived at cafe to find......closed, with no prior notice or cancellation of our table booking. Not happy ladies:(. Very disappointed. Still not tried the Afternoon Tea!

Called in today after looking on T/A for a decent tea room. Really glad we did. My wife reckons the home made soup was one of the best she’d ever had, my ham & brie ciabatta was great too. Coffees both good and the slices of cake we brought home were delicious too. Only complaint was that the place was cold. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back soon.

The portions of this tiered stacked afternoon tea were very generous. Varied and yummy selection. The coffee was really good too.

Took my friend for afternoon tea and we weren’t disappointed. There were 8 different sandwich fillings ranging from egg mayonnaise to prawn. The cheese one had a delicious onion marmalade, so tasty.

We held my daughter's 40th birthday party here last Sunday. The arrangements were easy and fuss-free and Richard provided an amazing High Tea for 14 people (adults and children). The food was delicious (how can sandwiches taste THAT good?), the table looked beautiful and the large selection of cakes were wonderful. The whole afternoon was perfect, relaxed and cosy and I can't thank Rich and Fancy enough for this great, stress-free experience

Wow! So fresh and exceptionally good quality. Full of flavour and value for money. Really nice atmosphere and music. Small place but big on satisfaction. Would well recommend booking to avoid disappointment, you will not be disappointed.

I often visit this cafe with friends. It's a lovely place to meet up in the centre of Horbury. The cafe has a relaxed atmosphere and we are always made to feel welcome.

My daughter and 6 friends did cup cake decorating and had afternoon tea. Richard was a great party host, the cake decorating was fun and the food was delicious. All home made, tasty and generous amounts. It was all for a very good price. We will definitely visit again and recommend Rich and Fancy.

Richard did an amazing job with the baby shower food. All the guests loved the place. Second time I’ve had a party here and it won’t be the last.

We're very lucky to have this gorgeous little place locally I think. We went to the Supper Club, the first one they've done, last night, and it was superb. Very professionally done and in such a small space, which is impressive!

The toffee pudding scrumptious and the starter fresh, appealing and served just like a 5 star resturant. Well done Richard and here is to more. Booked for January to celebrate my hubby's birthday and if we are lucky will probably book a few more but believe bookings are going fast!!!!

Amazing little place a real gem don't tell everybody !!!!

I have just been for afternoon tea in this charming little place which had been hired on a Sunday afternoon for a fundraising event. The sandwiches were excellent and freshly made and all the cakes were divine and homemade. The scones were also delicious. The only criticism I have is that I would have preferred a larger cup of coffee or a refill but maybe I should have asked for one! Do not let that put you off though as it was the best afternoon tea I have ever had!

The cakes here are honestly amazing, it’s worth going just to sample them! The menu is great though with a relaxed atmosphere, a fab cafe in Horbury!

Delicious and beautiful. Ordered the mouthwatering lemon drizzle and creamy, soft and buttery Victoria Sandwich for my nieces baby shower. Not a crunb left and will definitely order again. The flapjack goes down a treat also and a good substitute for my son who is allergic to eggs. Thanks Rich and Fancy will definitely be back.

My mum and sisters organised a surprise baby shower here, absolutely fantastic! The room and tables were set out lovely and the sandwiches and cakes were all handmade and absolutely amazing, so much food, we all took home a doggy bag for later! I would 100% recommend this place for afternoon tea it’s the best I have ever had. Thank you so much for making my afternoon brilliant.

We saw good reviews about this little cafe and booked afternoon tea for 4 adults and 2 children. The couple who run the cafe were lovely. The Aft tea is absolutely delicious.The sandwiches were so tasty above your average fillings. Bread so fresh. The cakes all homemade by the owner are light and moist and scones beautiful. We will definitely be back as we couldn't fault it and good value for money.

Richard managed to fit me my mum and my grandma in for a lovely mothers day treat of afternoon tea. It was by far the best afternoon tea we have ever had. The sandwich selection was incredible on the softest breads. By far some of the nicest cakes we had ever tasted and beautiful scones and such a lovely atmosphere. I visited here as part of a baby shower party so we had hired the cafe out especially. The whole experience was great. The tables were set out lovely, although only a small cafe it has a really nice feel to it. The afternoon tea was beautiful, the sandwiches and cakes were all really fresh and tasted amazing. There was so much variety! I have a nut allergy and none of the cakes had nuts in which was a real plus for me! Richard who owns it was really friendly and attentive, as was the young lady who was working at the time. I would highly recommend Rich & Fancy! 5*

Had a lovely afternoon tea here today. The food was plentiful , the bread on the sandwiches was so nice and the fillings very tasty.

As a group of 20 year olds looking for lunch on such a busy day we stumbled across this little cafe and it is safe to say we were not disappointed. Very friendly and welcoming service, fine attention to detail, great Yorkshire humour and I thought it was a nice touch that you can watch your food being made.

My four year old daughter and I love this cafe. She's starting school in September and I will miss our little lunches and coffee&cakes; out. This is a great place, serving fabulous soups - I make soups and always appreciate a good homemade soup when I'm out- lovely bread and wonderful fresh cakes. I'm always taken with the children's menu, they have got it spot on when so many other places get it so wrong. Friendly, unobtrusive service. A real asset to Horbury. Thanks.

Ordered a tuna sandwich - was absolutely gorgeous . Plenty of filling in homemade brown bread served with a tasty salad. Very reasonable, excellent coffee too. Cakes looked magnificent but I managed to resist !

Mum treated us to coffee and cake and it was lovely. I'm guessing the cakes were home made because they certainly tasted like they were an reasonably priced. Popular and busy on a lunch time, well worth checking out.

Visited on Sunday for a friends baby shower. The tea room, which was opened especially for us, looked amazing. Everything was homemade and absolutely delicious. Wide range of fresh sandwiches, scones, cakes, brownie etc etc. Such a great afternoon was had by all. Richard couldn't do enough for us. Thank you for the 5* service and excellent value for money!

An excellent place to drown your self in comforting coffee, soups and salads. On a special day a slice of lemon drizzle or scones and a cream tea is a treat. Young children catered for with a special menu and hot chocolate with marshmallows. For a treat with friends an afternoon tea party beats even those we'll known coffee shops. Try it on my recommendations as anyone who knows Ronny knows she loves her cake and coffee.

After several visits, I can honestly say this is an excellent cafe. Had lunch here with family last week. We all chose different dishes, we were all extremely happy with our meals and they arrived promptly. The ingredients are fresh, the bread is delicious and so are the homemade cakes and scones. The staff are welcoming and the service is second to none. Looking forward to our next visit in a few days! Highly recommended this fabulous eaterie!

We have been here a few times. I always choose this place over any other cafe in Horbury. The afternoon tea is wonderful and the home made soup is to die for. The chicken, avocado and pancetta sandwich is yummy and today I had the ham, brie and caramelised onion ciabatta which was amazing.

I visited this little cafe with my mum on her birthday for a high tea. Richard the owner was very courteous and the waitress was friendly. The food was gorgeous and plenty of it, Richard made all the delicious cakes himself. There was so much we had to take a doggy bag home! The cafe is tucked away in a little side street in Horbury so potential passing trade may miss it which is a shame but I will definitely be returning and recommending to my friends.

My Mum and I came here for afternoon tea and absolutely loved it. We are both vegetarians and we were catered for superbly. There was a vast selection of food and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. I'm looking forward to going back again soon!

A new gem in Horbury. I ordered Easter cupcakes and they were delicious. They came in an amazing Easter box and were a hit with the kids! At £5 for 4 they were an absolute bargain and each one came with a mini chicken too. I will definitely be ordering again and I will be telling everybody about this fantastic place! Looking forward to seeing the cupcakes they'll be making for the Queens birthday, Halloween and Christmas this year!

Rich and Fancy is such a special find. I first visited with friends for lunch and the homemade soups are fantastic. I noticed the Valentines Day afternoon tea and booked for me and my husband. It's the best afternoon tea I've ever had (and I've had a few!!) Everything is home made and the attention to detail is superb. I was so impressed that I also booked for Mothers Day which my mum loved! It was my birthday last week so we ordered some of Rich's homemade cupcakes and they were incredible. Nothing is too much trouble and they will adapt the menu to suit your needs. Rich and Louise are so welcoming and it's a lovely atmosphere. I can't recommend it enough! Visited here for coffee on a very quiet Tuesday morning. No welcome as such from the owner on arrival. Overpowering smell of bleach permeating the cafe. This place lacks any kind of atmosphere. Staff indifferent not made to feel welcome at all. No comparison with another cafe in the town which is always busy and friendly. Won't be visiting here again anytime soon.

This is a lovely, small cafe, serving excellent home made cakes, scones etc which are second to none in quality. Their sandwiches, soup and other food are also very good. The setting & atmosphere are lovely with really helpful, friendly staff. It is a great place to meet up with friends as it doesn't have the noisy background acoustics of some other cafes, allowing conversation to flow. This is a real asset to Horbury and I would recommend anyone to try it - your first visit won't be your last!

A very charming tea room. Had a lovely lunch of soup and sandwich. The sweet pot & red soup was homemade and really tasty. The sandwich menu is varied and interesting. I had the chorizo and mozzarella panini, my other half had chicken, pancetta and avocado they were both beautiful, including the side salad!! The owners/staff are really welcoming. Didn't have one but the cakes and scones looked delicious. Wish I lived a bit nearer and I would definitely be a regular for coffee and cake.

We had a lovely lunch here and were really impressed with the children friendly welcome. The boys had ham sandwich fingers (in delicious bread) served with carrot sticks and a piece of yummy cake. I seem to remember this being really good value too! There was a good selection of adult sandwiches and I had the warm salami sandwich which was very good. Cakes were fresh and a selection to suit every taste..and the carrot cake was delicious. Colouring books/crayons and chocolate milk shake served in cute milk bottle topped the experience off nicely!
