Finally found the place where it is proper Italian pizza!!! Been disappointed in so many other restaurants recently. Amazing taste! Can’t wait to try other options

Best Italian in the area. Food is always fresh and prepared for you, service is top drawer and to top it off, the wine is lovely. Authentic Sicilian food at its finest

We always enjoy eating at Ricardo's and are made very welcome. The food is excellent, as is the service. It is our family's favourite place to eat.

The chef is amazing. From what I understand, he does it all by himself. Yet still the food was served quickly at the highest quality - I even ate seafood tonight that I wouldn’t normally eat (such as calamari done PROPERLY) also the waitress could answer you questions before you even asked them. What a place.

service and owner super friendly, but really disappointed with food, spaghetti was really over cooked and felt cheap quality, potatoes and veg that came with the cod was frozen and over cooked, house red wine tasted really cheap and they had the local radio on as ambience, cmon guys an italian music play list from spotify takes no effort at all and would make it soo pleasant, had to listen to horrible radio adverts while eating pasta, who wants to do that

I've recently celebrated a couple of birthdays here with friends and family, and I can't recommend it enough. There's a huge choice from the menu as well as a changing selection of dishes on the blackboard. You can have several dishes as a starter or as your main course and we enjoyed choosing a few different starters and sharing them. The food ranges from enormous pizzas, a variety of pasta, fish dishes, steak and interesting vegetarian options, and the portions are huge! Over a few visits, I've had mussels, mushrooms, grilled fish, pasta, and a delectable juicy steak in a wonderful sauce, and have thoroughly enjoyed them all. The staff are very friendly and helpful and there's a really nice cozy atmosphere. There's also outdoor seating to enjoy when the weather's good, or to nip out if you smoke or vape! We will definitely choose this lovely restaurant for our next get together

We dropped in hoping for a table tonight and they got us in. We went and took our son, the atmosphere was great. The girls were really busy in there but the service was fast and friendly. The food was also amazing. We can't wait to go back

Absolutely fantastic. A perfect family-run cosy Italian restaurant serving up home-cooked rustic and hearty meals. We had the most delicious food here and we absolutely cannot wait to come back. The service was excellent, the food was genuinely divine -- you have got to try the chilli garlic bread, it was sensational! We came mid-week quite early and there was plenty of room for walk-ins. If you read this review and you're even slightly thinking of coming here, please take my word for it and just come - you will not regret it. Random comment, but the toilet was also exquisitely clean!

I would like to say I enjoyed my lunch here, but alas I was denied this. I walked half an hour to get here and the place is closed. Every business is responsible for updating their own opening hours. I've done it for you, and wasted my day. Thanks.

It’s my sons 9th birthday today and I decided to take him to try the best pizza in the area. Called up and spoke to the owner who managed to book us a table last minute for 7pm. We ordered a couple of lemonades and 1X 12 inch meat pizza between me and my son which had sausage, chicken, ham and cheese. The pizza was so fresh, delicious and very lite that we ordered a second one and after that we were stuffed. I supplied a chocolate cake and the owner/chef brought the cake out with candles and sung happy birthday to my son. It was a beautiful moment and was so nice of him to do that. This is the best pizza place I’ve been to plus the friendly staff etc made us feel very welcome. Thank you very much for everything I will be bringing my son and mum back here very soon. I think it’s going to be my son and I new place to go. Don’t hesitate to call to book table now you will wish you booked sooner!!!!

Absolutely adore this place. I'm quite unadventurous and stick to pizza (Pizza del Chef being my favourite) but my wife has tried all sorts of things and declared every single one as being excellent. Ricardo is always charming and our six-year-old daughter was delighted when the chef gave her a chef's hat...

We where recommend to have the Mojos Seafood staff party at La Pizzeria. Lovely atmosphere we where a bit loud but the other dinners where Lovely people and we chatted freely. I started off with the cream and garlic mushrooms. WOWZER the flavours where out of this world. Main course was fillet steak saltad potatoes and seasonal veg" GET IN THERE" Mr chef! Fantastic. The rest of the group where all bowled over with there food. The owner is the chef. Lovely chap made us feel so welcome. Great value spot on grub. Thanks to everyone at La Pizzaeria for a fantastic evening. All the best from Adam and all the staff from Mojos Seafood.

Went to La Pizzeria before a show at the Palace Theatre, the food was delicious, it's a small restaurant but the staff were really friendly. It was an excellent start to our evening.

Recommend by a friend. Nice atmosphere. The food was good and there is a good selection of wine. We all had pasta two vegetarian mushroom Florentines and one meat balls. We had sweets too but the savoury food was best.

I came here the other evening with my daughter and her toddler. We were made to feel very welcome. The food was very good. I am not a great fan of pizza but my prawn and garlic one was delicious. A real hidden gem of a place.

I have been coming here for years now. To this day, the best and most authentic Italian I have come across in Essex. It's a hidden gem, you can so easily walk past and not realise how wonderful it is. I was perhaps intrigued/anxious that the food would be basic as the menu is very big, but I can safely say every genre lives up to it's expectation. Just so yum. Lovely wine selection too. (P.S - I took my Dad here who is from Napoli, and he approves)!

After a show at the Palace Theatre, we called in for a meal, La Pizzeria to round the evening off, we were not disappointed, it was delicious, Pizzas for the kids,soft drinks canneloni and some delicious looking Pizza for the adults, a perfect end to our day. Spotlessly clean in the restaurant and the toilets, highly recommend

Was last in La Pizzeria a few years ago, well, before lockdown, and it was really good then. Nice to see a high standard of : Greeting at the door Great wine Great food - We all had steaks, which were very nice, great sauce. Great Irish coffee (my friend is Irish, if he was Italian....) Very nicely priced Please phone and book otherwise you will be missing out on a very nice meal.

Very nice meal with authentic flavours. I’m always a bit concerned when I see a menu as large as the one La Pizzeria offer, but everything we had was very good. We started with the Caprese salad with some fresh bread and olives. I then went for the seafood pizza, which was delicious although I feel there was a little too much cheese on it. My partner had a chicken tagliatelle dish which she enjoyed but said it could have been better seasoned during cooking. The restaurant itself is small but cosy and nicely laid out. Everything is spotlessly clean and the service is both friendly and attentive. Would recommend

I visited the restaurant with my family to eat here and it was a very good experience. We had a break and the place was beautiful. They do great food and service. I am currently studying Italian in my free time. I met the chef who was very kind and let me try my Italian again. I will recommend people to visit there. I'm happy to visit again. :^)

One of the best food what I had in Italian or any restaurants. I had a soup for a starter which was huge and delicious. All together we've ordered a few different meals and all were big sizes and with beautiful taste. It's worth to go, I would recommend it to all, you will be satisfied
