Small, lively, atmospheric wine bar in the hear of Twickenham. Bright and quite loud - not the place for an intimate moment - but excellent range, good prices, friendly staff. We will return!

initially discovered church street when exploring richmond and was pleasantly surprised! a cute little street which is occupied by small local businesses, from coffee to restaurants. that said, i was disappointed by ricardos. saw that the place was packed and was about to leave but staff insisted we stay and squeezed us into a corner. no complaints at this point as the atmosphere was quite pleasant! however, ordered a glass of wine and “nibbles” (overpriced pub snacks) which came to a total of about £14. My husband and I enjoy 2 things upon discovering new places: cheap drinks and welcoming people. staff took a very long time to serve us and we spent about £50 overall which is ridiculous for drinks. Would come again if things changed, maybe it was just a bad/busy day for them (if you are passing through the richmond/twickenham area I'd recommend the william webb ellis - much cheaper drinks and buzzing atmosphere!).

Came here recently with my husband and the owner's dismissal of customer needs is unbelievable, running around telling every customer to be patient and move tables to make space for more customers. Drinks are also a huge rip-off. My husband was charged a "corkage" fee (which is essentially for them to open a bottle), only once we had asked for the bill. Argued against this and was told "I don't make the rules" by staff. Crowd seemed friendly and the record shop is cool though.

Can see why this place is so high on tripadvisor! Ricardo himself is very friendly and attentive king with the rest of the staff. Decent selection of craft beer, nibbles and an extensive collection of wines. Can’t wait to come back!

Stumbled across this place by accident and can honestly say that it's my new favourite place in Twickenham to drink. It's a refreshing change from chain pubs, the wine and beer selection is great,the shop itself is pretty cool to sit in and the staff member on duty was fantastic and really looked after us We will definitely return, I'd say as regulars,very happy to have found this place!!!

Visited repeatedly across the past three years and there's always a warm welcome from Ricardo and his staff. The cheese and wine's not bad either!

A long delayed review...as a Twickenham local, I enjoy being a regular at both Ricardo's locations. The staff are friendly and always give good recommendations. I enjoy sitting outside on Church Street during the summer. Ricardo's was also able to arrange the wine for our wedding party at quite short notice. Highly recommend whether you're in Twickenham for the rugby, passing by or a local!

Came here as part of a pub trawl in the summer with 9 of us. 21.00, noone else in - very nice host who served us real ales, wine and cigars. Think he is Portuguese. If you like trying different wines come here. During the day the vintage and new Vinyl LP shop is open!

One of the hidden gems of the area, with an excellent selection of drinks. Cheese and small snacks are also provided to complement the wines. What makes it stand out is the quality of the staff who are so knowledgeable and offer great suggestions. A real favourite for the locals! The outside seating is a great addition and is very stylish.

Ricardo and his staff are always very welcoming and accommodating. They also make the best aperol spritz we have ever had!

I went to a wine tasting event organised by Ricardo's at the end of June with some friends. On arrival you get given details of the wines (and sometimes beers) available to taste, a wine glass and a check card which is ticked off when you are poured some wine to try. These events seem to be very popular. It is quite informal, so you don't need to be an amateur sommelier to feel comfortable. That makes it really good to go to with a group of friends, and it's in a nice area of Twickenham too. There is more than one table, representing different geographical areas- but it also means you're not waiting 20 mins in between each wine to taste. These tables are managed by some very knowledgeable people who know the history of each wine and can recommend wines based on your taste, depending on what you want to know. I have been to a couple of these tastings before and you do get to try a very wide variety of wines. If you like wine and you want to try some new wines (at various price points) in a relaxed atmosphere, then this is recommended!

We have been going to Ricardo's wine tasting events since they started, and they are great. Similar minded people whom are not portentous and just enjoy wine and a mingle. It is an event, but its also a community thing. Usually there is checklist of the different wines between red, white and sparkling and now there is also micro brewary session ales to try. Each person attending has a minimal of 10x or so tastings. Some of the wines on offer are of a higher quality and these are accessible to try as many times within the tasting limit. Ricardo and Ashley and team are nice people, they are approachable and fun and create a good humored atmosphere as suppose to a snobby one. All are welcome and we are Lucky that this experience is on our doorstep.

Great service and brilliant range of wines and beers. We were a bit peckish and Ricardo rustled up a range of cheeses in moments. Always great service. Cigars are also part of the offering 👍👍👍

Richardo, Ashley and the rest of the team have made Ricardo's the " go to place " in Church Street, Twickenham and beyond.  It's a pleasure to be served by warm welcoming, attentive people who are so knowledgeable about their wines, beer and the occasional cheese platter. The themed evenings are fun and vary between wine and food tastings. Stay as great as you are guys.

Have been going to Ricardos for a while which is located in the middle of buzzy Church St in Twickenham. Prosecco was served in proper coupes with tasty olives and nuts nibbles. Great atmosphere with lots of banter with surrounding friendly people. Service as always was excellent from Ashley and Ricardo, thoroughly recommended for aperitifs and early evening fun!

They have a fantastic selection of beers, ciders and wine as well as scheduled tasting events such as cheese, wine and even cigars. Ricardo's should be your number one choice for booze and friendly atmosphere that you can’t get anywhere else…….

The had a great beer and wine selection and the staff were very accommodating. Will definitely be coming back soon to try more.

This place is a little gem . The staff are attentive, knowledgable and nothing is too much trouble. I could not recommend this highly enough. The charcuterie boards are a must !!
