Enjoyed our meal was a great potion for both me (gammon and chips) and my little girl (double cheese burger and mash) the staff where very kind we will definitely be coming again thanks guys

After a great walk around the Marina it's ideal to enjoy a good meal here and it's a Marston's pub !

The service and staff were delightful and friendly and personable; the atmosphere was calm despite the amount of full tables, and easy to chat with friends. The chips are super crispy on the outside and fluffy inside so that’s always a winner!

Being someone with coeliac disease its tough when eating out, but I've actually found a pub chain that caters, & I wasn't disappointed. But you don't need to have coeliac to eat here the food is brilliant all round. I would highly recommend this pub chain to anyone.

Ryan was a perfect barzmen very polite and friendly and Tracey was a great waiter also very polite and friendly are food got mixed up and she was ready to fix it a really good place to eat

Service on the day wasn't the best, but it was a fairly hot day and so was probably a little more busy than normal. On this particular occasion I ordered the Donner Kebab with fries. The plate was presented well. The meat was just ok. There wasn't nearly enough of the sauce that I requested. They definitely skimpt on that side of the dish. There was a side of salad, including tomatoes and leaves. Again, I feel there wasn't enough of this. The toasted flatbread wasn't toasted or if it was, it was only very lightly toasted. It wasn't fresh bread, either as I'd say, 25% of it was hard and I wasn't able to eat it. The fries were the standout of this dish as they were crispy and freshly prepared.

We didn't have to wait, great bar choice, including non alcoholic drinks, food was excellent, I can recommend the green curry with prawns, and sherry trifle cheesecake, my friend enjoyed the scampi. Jamie was a star serving us.

Food was amazing. Came out quickly and freshly prepared. Staff were helpful and attentive. Dog friendly. Could use my blue light card for a nice discount as well.

Lovely warm, welcoming, family pub with lovely food. Jamie is a lovely guy and couldn’t do enough for us.

Always a good place to go if the sun is shining. Staff are friendly and helpful.. food is ok not amazing but good. Just wish they would do a smaller burger. Second visit... Got a chicken kebab. Luke warm and 3 pieces of thigh meat not worth the money at all. Better quality food at a Greene King and that's saying something! Pea shoots on top of crap food do not make it worth 50% more.

Nice meal but quite small portions, the burger meals didn't come with any sides (veg/salad) other than the fries that came with it. Kids menu good choices but again small serving, 5 yr old ate all and still after more.

Party of 22 and all the staff was great, the food was hot and delicious, it arrived in dribs & drabs but that was fine as it was busy and had to put up with us lot aswell, I got a free drink & a dessert as an apology as mine was the last plate out and a tad late. 1st time here in 3 years nice and clean and warm,great service at the bar we had prawn salad and turkey roast both were good they forgot my pig in blankets I did think the roast should have been a bit bigger but enjoyed it anyway.

Had my daughters 13th birthday meal here, there was a fuffle with people coming then not coming so had to change the reservation number a few times but the staff was so understanding! Food was all brought out together and hot, empty plates and happy faces all round. Thank you

I loved my experience. Caityln was great, she told me a joke about a 'wide mouthed frog' and it killed. Corky was alright but i prefer my bartenders more petite, he was a little bit threatening.

Great place , great food, very welcoming. Martin was friendly and kind the minute me and my daughter walked through the doors. As it was our first time there our impression was left with definitely coming back. Highly recommend the place. Thank you for great experience.

We came in after the cinema and the service was incredible. Sally the Lady on the bar was amazing so friendly and welcoming. The food was great aswell I had the southern frid chicken and the did not disappoint. Staff amazing food amazing couldn't recommend more x

Amazing venue with the best atmosphere for whatever the occasion. Especially if it’s Sally on shift! Amazing customer service!

3 of us went in for meal before going to the cinema. Service was good but the food was awful. Cowboy burger was burnt and was like cardboard. Hunters chicken was dried up and burnt with dead rocket thrown on the plate literally looked sorry for itself! Mac n cheese was passable but the garnish that came with it was completely dead either that or they had put it in the microwave with the mac n cheese.

No worries I was going in a rush and forgot to review. Well I had good company with me so that's always a good start. Good atmosphere, quick pleasant service with no issues. Food was lovely, good portion sizes. Was an impromptu visit but been a few times more so when I'm visiting the cinema. Nice to be nice and a good venue should always been praised. TC

Very welcoming environment - was served at the bar by Sally who was very friendly and catering when taking order Good food, nice ambience and overall a great experience. Suspect we will be back to dine here again some time! Also, next time might need to ask the kitchen for their burger sauce recipe - weird thing to fixate on, I know, but honestly the nicest I’ve ever had! McDonald’s beware 😋

Came in today for food and a meet up with friends and family. Sally is a breathe of fresh air, smiley, bubbly and happy to help. I've come in many times over the years (since I was a child) and I don't think I've ever seen her have a bad day. There was another male behind the bar who served us for food (I didn't catch his name) showing interest in the reason we were all meeting up (in memory of a friend who passed some years ago). Made us feel welcome and again nothing too much trouble. Food was amazing, drinks amazing and the icing on the cake: the staff. Keep up the good work lads and lasses.

Came today while Tracy and a blonde lady was on shift complaining that there understaff and walking round miserable no apology for wait or being skipped at the bar or wait won’t bother coming again if they would of apologised I wouldn’t of minded it was like being served by two teenagers

We had the meal of the day for Wednesday. We had to pay for the meal before being served and the tip was taken before we had even eaten !! The food arrived and was obviously two microwave meals just plated up!! I’ve seen them at the wholesalers down the road ! The best part of the meal was the chips which we paid extra for. We paid extra for two puddings mine was ok but my husbands apple crumble was a thin layer of apple and a bit of crumble on the top just not what you would expect! I can’t understand why a chef would send food out like that. The staff were friendly and the service was quick but it doesn’t make up for really poor food.

Nice little pub overlooking river. Seating inside and outside. Good deals that change regularly / offers on food. Food takes a little while to come out but fresh and good.

Friendly staff, clean tables, good selection of foods, though limited gluten free options, however, baked potato was lovely and presented well.

I come with my parents ever week. They are very elderly. My Dad has dementia and is his cancer is end stage. Mum has early stage dementia. Mum always has the light bite fish and chips and my Dad whatever he can manage. I always ask for lightly battered fish and hot milk with my Mums amercano. All of your staff bar one are wonderful, very efficient and so kind. Sally is incredible and gives us a lovely personal experience. Will (your assistant manager) and Dan are also lovely. We had a very unpleasant experience unfortunately with your general manager who was so off-hand and rude. He refused to do hot milk for my Mums coffee; allow a request for lightly battered fish, and to accept the 25% Meerkat code. He refused to heat Mums coffee.. unfortunately it comes out of the machine luke warm. All of other Marstons managers and staff go the extra mile so that my parents enjoy their meal. I have never sent a negative email to any company but he has been by a long way the most unpleasant hospitality member of staff we as a family have ever come across Maris

The food was great, staff were great, time of service was great. The only issue would be that we were celebrating a birthday, and were split across 2 tables that weren't adjoining or facing one another, one was round the corner from the other, which made it awkward opening presents together and celebrating together etc there was plenty of room to move tables to have the party altogether, so I'm unsure why the decision was made to use the tables they did.

Friendly staff and food was beautiful.

Portions need to be bigger for the price, the fish was so dry the vinegar soaked into the batter instead of the fish. The fish was dry and chewy, required me to fight it to eat it. Disappointed in the warmth of the food, everything was cold except the pies. And the glassware smells like cheap perfume. Although the venue is nice and clean, service was adäquate. Its disappointing the prices and food are lacklustre in comparison to the beautiful scenery.

Susan was such an attentive and positive waitress. I can’t remember the last time I have been served with so much kindness! Thank you for being so good at your job. You are a huge credit to The Ribble Pilot!

The only pub left on the docks. A wide range of drinks and good seating inside and out but the food is very boring, a bit too prepared. More microwave than cooking with fresh food!

Myself and my sister went today for lunch, and it was lovely. The staff were very pleasent and helpful.

Came here on Friday with my Yorkie while I was waiting for someone. Treated her to some nice crispy bacon and a j2o for myself. All the staff I came across were friendly and helpful. While waiting an unfriendly stranger passing by arrived and sat at my table unexpectedly causing stress to my dog. A worker dealt with the stranger in an impressively professional and effective manor. So, I returned later to have dinner here which was lovely. I have been here before a few times and will happily return again.

Went here for a birthday meal on saturday and it was great. Parking is always plentiful. Ordered online at the table and food was literally there less than 10 minutes later. Sides and all. Staff were great. Burger was really smokey and tasted like a summer bbq. Had a nice play with our kid outside with a cider and went home. Really cosy place next to the docks especially in the evening sun. Many thanks to your team. 👍

I had no way of giving this place a zero star rating. We went here and had some lovely ant visitors at our table/windowsill next to our seat. (Didn't see until ordered) We resorted in having an alternative meal as the meal we requested (from menu) they wouldn't do due to stock levels and having to save food for other customers. The food came out burnt, yet cold. The kids food was soggy. Defo wouldn't recommend this place to eat

Staff are so accommodating and nothing is ever too much trouble. I had booked for twenty people and they just made my job as organizer so simple and straightforward, even with a few changes on the actual day. Brilliant service and everybody thoroughly enjoyed their meals especially the praline chocolate tart 😋 thank you so much xxx

We had good time in Ribble Pilot. Food is amazing. Cocktails are average. Definitely recommend this place for a nice brunch over the docks in sunny weather.

A nice pub for a pub for lunch in the heart of the Preston Marina Complex. Good food & service yet is reasonably priced.

Popped in with a colleague to do some remote working, and a bite to eat - lovely

The staff were friendly, the pub was tidy and welcoming and the food was good. The only downside was the menus were dirty, with food splashes on them, which was a bit off putting. Overall we enjoyed our visit.

The location is very nice since it's right on Preston Docks. You get to enjoy a beautiful view while you are having a great meal. The place's cleaningness is absolutely spot on alongside with the service. The staff is very bubbly and friendly and will go above and beyond for their customers. Definetly reccomrnd the Ribble Pilot if you are looking for a nice quiet and did I mention dog friendly place???😁 my server today was Tracey who mafe our stay very comfortable.

Always a great place to eat and when ever Sally is on duty, she approaches our table in her usual friendly way to greet us and ask how we are.

Friendly atmosphere, fresh food and hot. Only bug really is everything is clean and modern just the toilet facilities are a little unkept other than that a great visit.
