Rhythm & Spice in Manchester

After reading the reviews I ordered curry goat rice and peas and a dumpling all of it was unedible it was dry, sweet and tough it had obviously been sat for hours the place was clean and the women was polite enough but the food was terrible will not be returning

Only giving three stars because the chips and Mac and cheese were good and so were the gravies but the rice was completely undercooked and rock solid and the dumpling didn’t seem fresh either. Would have rather had no rice and a refund. Makes no sense why you’d serve that.

First time ordering, definitely not the last. Best jerk chicken I've had in a long time. Tasted like it had been smoked on the BBQ.

Ordered a few different meals.. Couple of fried chicken meals, oxtail meal, curried goat with some jerk wings Jerk wings was nice n tasty, curried goat meat was soft and tender and very flavoursome... The oxtail and fried chicken was lacking tastewise in the brothers opinions. Like I always say everyones taste buds differ and opinions are different but this is just my honest opinion...

It’s a bit more expensive but the food is really nice.

We had Rhythm and Spice cater for a family event of 20 people. We ordered rice and peas, curry chicken, curry sea bass, fried chicken and plantain 2 ways as well as coleslaw. Everything was absolutely delicious and all the guests loved it. There was more than enough food provided for the amount of people and Orville and Lecia personally delivered it for us and were a pleasure to deal with. We would definitely recommend

THE FOOD IS AMAZING 🤩👅 This little hidden gem serves proper jamaican food. We had the curried goat (real goat) and brown stew chicken. The meat literally melts in your mouth, the rice is moist but not stodgy, the dumplings were crispy and fluffy inside. We ate every last bit of it. Big yardie portions aswell. Really friendly lady serving aswell (thank you for getting my food ready early)... love this place, will be back for sure 😀

Well, what can I say 20 years of eating Jamaican food, all-round, Manchester and rhythms and spice takes the top place every time real authentic Jamaican food, this family absolutely smash it out the park every time the meat quality is absolutely fantastic i have been eating from here for quite awhile and it’s always incredible and I can have it delivered to my house which I am very blessed for thank you very much guys keep up the great work 🇯🇲💚💚

The food was served warm, instead of hot I had to ask the owner to reheat. She did apologise, when I asked for a take away box. I was given a box to put my food in, and struggled over the customer counter.

I went to Rhythm & Spice today with my family and the food was amazing. The customer service was top-notch. The jerk chicken is a must and the soup of the day was fantastic. Would recommend them to anyone who need a quick bite to eat. Definitely will be returning.

Overall, my experiences at this restaurant have varied based on who cooks and serves the food. There's a noticeable difference in the presentation and taste (eg, the jerk chicken) when a certain person is present versus when the other person serves. When this person is around, the presentation is impeccable, and the flavors are consistently exceptional. However, on occasions when someone else serves, the presentation can be haphazard, and the flavor doesn't quite match the standard set by the chef.

If I could give 100 stars for the service I definitely would! Made an order without realising I provided my old contact number. The team went above and beyond to contact me to deliver the order. Delicious food , good portions and fantastic service

Only had large jerk chicken and rice with a few extra sides, but very nice. £10. Dumplings at 60p each are a tip. Deep fried delicious savoury doughnut ball. Food needed a reheat when I was home, but it was a cold night. Friendly staff.

First time ordering and I am delighted. Had curry goat, rice and peas along with dumpling and coleslaw. All of it was so tasty and delicious and large portions. Would highly recommend.

First time ordering but i can't say im that impressed. Portions were small where only half of the plastic tub was filled with Ackee & Salfish & the chicken wings were all tiny with hardly any meat on them, quite dry. The Rice & Peas & salad were ok but nothing special. They forgot to add the two patties so i had to request a refund via Uber for them. Just been to pick up some food that we ordered via a third party app. Firstly what a lovely lady who served us. The food was plentiful, and tasted absolutely gorgeous. We wouldn't have known about this place unless we had ordered via the app we used. So glad we ordered from here as we will be returning and we have already sent recommendation to our friends. This man knows how to cook. The food was beautiful. The curried goat was so tastey. It was full of flavour and soft. Lovely staff and a relaxed atmosphere. You won't be dissapointed. I'll definitely be returning!

Fantastic food and brilliant service! Rhythm and Spice supported our corporate event in Manchester City Centre - providing our colleagues a taste of Jamaica. They suggested an excellent tasting menu based on our needs/headcount and were extremely responsive throughout arranging the event. The food arrived perfectly on-time - with a fantastic range of vegan, veggie and meat-based options. Enjoyed by everyone - from colleagues who had never tried Carribean cuisine before, to others who adore it. Generous portions and it was all absolutely delicious! Would highly recommend their food and catering.

Delicious - had curry goat, oxtail, curry chicken all with rice n peas and veg - great flavour and portion size - my son asked for his gravy separately as he doesn't like the way it all gets absorbed into the rice which wasn't a problem but would have liked a larger portion of the gravy! Reasonably priced too would certainly recommend.

My hubby and I stopped on our way from the airport and had no regrets, the food is absolutely delicious,(we ordered oxtail, curried goat, ackee & salt fish, fried chicken & jerk chicken along with rice & pieces, boiled food and soup. As a Jamaican sometimes it’s really difficult to find that authentic taste outside of Jamaica, but, I tell you undoubtedly this is the best food I’ve had out of Jamaica and definitely will be going back especially when we have an event to celebrate. The owners Ricky and his partner as so Hospitable which makes it worth a visit …10/10.

My husband and myself had this twice in the last week, its very hard to find a good carribean food shop now days we usually travel to Trafford kool.running s. but this is definitely our new spot 👌the food is amazing cooked to perfection , and the mac and cheese us amazing 👏

Best Caribbean food we have ever had. After some great meals we decided to try the catering service for a party and it was phenomenal. Excellent food, brilliant team. Very easy to work with and very reasonable prices. Will use again. Probably every party we ever have.
