Reshma Balti in Wigan

I’ve been going to reshma balti for years. The staff are super friendly. The food always comes hot and it’s tastes delicious. Would recommend to family and friends any day!

Excellent take away tonight from Reshma lost faith in indian take away after my last 1, but very good tonight I will deffo try Reshma again soon. Had another curry last week excellent again the 1st time I have ordered a Naga and been able to smell Naga as soon as I took the lid off excellent Lost a star tonight food great and delivered on time ordered 2 mango only 1 delivered should not happen...

Possibly the worst delivery we’ve had , tiny chunks of lamb barely bigger than mince pretending to be lamb tikka ! The highlight was the onion . Sorry but a waste of money . Used once never again .

Simply Dreadful. Just had delivery of... Tandoori Mixed grill with Madras sauce. Supreme Naan. Chips. Chips weren't cooked through, I had to finish them off in the air fryer. Mixed grill meat was slimy and tasted strange. Madras sauce was watery & inedible, far too hot and hadn't been caramelised. Supreme Naan was nice but went in the bag and into the bin with the rest of the slop as I rapidly lost my appetite. £23 wasted. This used to be a great takeaway but now its terrible.

We have had some great Currys from here but the last couple of weeks our chicken jalfrezi has not been as good and last week was the last straw, it was bright red??? Not sure if it's been a different chef. It's so annoying when you think you have found the perfect place. 😕😐

Used to be the best Indian in Atherton but lost its touch. Couldn't eat the curry as there was so much salt in it.

We've always enjoyed the food from here and never had a problem before today. Last time I ordered we were asked to leave a review with us being loyal regulars. I order later on in the evening on a Friday because my husband only finishes work at 9pm. The attitude of the delivery person was disgusting, moaning at me for ordering late. He's never said anything when my husband opens the door. If you don't want people ordering at that time shut the websites down.

Was slightly put off by some of the negative reviews but pleasantly surprised, very friendly staff and fast service. Food was delicious. Must try for yourself and judge rather than read other people’s comments. Well done guys will be back soon.

Quite possibly the worst curry I've ever had. The mixed starter was nice but stone cold so had to be reheated, poppadoms very nice, but the garlic balti was the worst thing I've ever tasted. Again, stone cold and threw the whole lot in the bin. I won't be returning to this place.

I'm not giving 1 star because I didn't taste the food, but after waiting for 2 hours and 20 minutes I rang and cancelled the order. 20 minutes later the driver turns up, nobody has told him. So they can't get food out on time and they can't communicate updates with each other. I declined the food as we'd already agreed to have the refund. If you order from here on a weekend order it waaay before you'd like it. Waiting 2 hours and 40 minutes is unreasonable in my opinion.

Naan is fresh and is great but am afraid that's where the good points end. The papadaum were stale, with the mango chutney being sickly sweet. The curry was basically just a tin of pureed tomatoes which had a small handful of spices thrown in. Just a bad experience all round.

Expecting great things we were let down , very let down . Quite possibly the worst curry ( i wouldn’t call it curry ). I’ve ever been served . I’ve been eating and cooking curries for 30+ years and what we received was atrocious. Both curries Kushboo and Balti Afghani full of red food colouring , salty exactly the same taste , flavourless . The only identifiable difference one had peas the other an abundance of dry bay leaves which added nothing to the dish. Definitely not worthy of a further order and one to avoid for me. Marks out of 10 , -20.

I'm not surprised the delivery was early. Maybe we were one of the few to be unfortunate enough to order food from this place! We had the set meal for two. The chef must have a thing for bright red food. I expect it for tandoori, but not tikka. The starters were shis kebab, but in a red tasteless slop. The chicken tikka was the same. The tikka masala was just chicken chunks in the red slop, which tasted like sweet red custard!! Totally unpalatable... The lamb bhuna and mushroom bajhi was just OK, low on flavour and salty. How the hell this place got the reviews its received is a mystery to me. Maybe the chef had a night off. I will never use this place again!!

First class. We've been using The Reshma for many years and the standard has been consistently high. Our food arrives hot and on time and when collecting its ready when I arrive and the staff are very friendly.

just spent over £60 and very disappointed I think they forgot the spices today Chicken Pakoras dry tasteless breaded chicken nuggets, Lamb Rogan Josh advertised slightly spicy no spice whatsoever a tomato sauce with lamb in tasteless, Nan bread was charcoaled even the kids complained their meal chicken tika tasted vinegary Poppadoms were ok we had more stuff but none of it hit the mark all without taste Was looking forward to a nice meal very very disappointed.

Never go here, rats everywhere...

Normally I don’t have Indian food unless I’m going to a restaurant, but this place is proper decent there food is better than any Indian restaurant iv had quality is bang on and fast delivery definitely my new place to go

Ordered on several occasions.....no problems, on time and tasty. 1st bad experience, food cold and didn’t taste like what we ordered.....brought to their attention and offered a free one next time.....what about ‘‘this time?

i have eaten curries all over Europe over 10yrs while working,i can honestly say this place is in the top 3 ,should have a restaurant it would be packed ,,respect to the chefs

Quick delivery, best Indian takeaway in Atherton. Only drawback, sometimes curry is a bit oily.

I ordered the mix meat bhuna curry disappointed to find the meat was still full of bone even a full chicken leg in there not what I expected same with the mix tandoori starter I wouldn't recommend this place unless you was vegan because the curry it's self was really nice.
