He reservado una mesa para mi familia y tengo que decir que estaba tan impresionado, la comida era increíble, un gran servicio y el personal era tan amable, no puedo recomendar lo suficiente.

Qué decepcionante. Para una reserva de grupo preordenada, caos desorganizado. La comida todavía llegaba a la mesa cuando otros en la mesa ya habían terminado de comer. Mezclarse completamente con los pedidos, especialmente cuando las alergias alimentarias ya han sido notificadas con antelación y preordenadas. El entrante de cangrejo era gris, húmedo, acuoso, papilla insípida. Pasta de mariscos desprovista de mariscos, solo 2 anillos de calamares y 2 gambas en una salsa de tomate insípida. ¡Bebidas extorsivas! ¿Qué le ha pasado a los Regina hace años cuando Joe era el jefe de casa? Solía ser realmente increíble entonces. Ahora sobreprecio, mal presentado, carente de gusto e imaginación demasiado caro para lo que es, costo injustificable. ¡No aceptes tantas reservas si no puedes hacer frente a ellas y no puedes entregar un menú y un servicio acordes con los precios que estás cobrando!

Qué experiencia horrible. Maridos 65 cumpleaños arruinado. Básicamente me llamaron mentiroso por la reserva. Hablé con alguien hace semanas antes de reservar para decir que mi esposo estaba discapacitado y no podía manejar escaleras, cuando reservé lo dije, pero aparentemente me dijeron que no. Sabiendo que tienen un piso de arriba lo dejé perfectamente claro. Me dijeron que era muy inusual que tres personas cenaran normalmente. La mesa en la que nos habían reservado fue empujada en una esquina donde no podías tener tres niños y mucho menos adultos. Nos dijeron amigos que no estaban impresionados con su visita, pero pensamos que lo intentaríamos. Lo peor que había hecho. Mi pobre marido se sentía tan incómodo que solo quería irse. Mi marido es parcialmente sordo y habla en voz alta y la persona frente a la casa lo llamó grosero, creo que ella necesita tomar clases de hospitalidad. Mi consejo sería no entretener este lugar, especialmente si tienes un miembro discapacitado en tu grupo.

Diners were squeezed into one area of the restaurant, I think that this was for the convenience of the waiting staff. This made for a very noisy meal where people were shouting over each other to be heard. Waited 45mins for a cold starter, then main was plonked on the table as starter plates were cleared. Poor service, mediocre food and London prices.

We came as a family for my birthday. It's not often I give a five star review but on this night everything was perfect. The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble, including us all changing the furniture around. The menu has a range of interesting options plus some specials of the day. My belly pork with crunchy crackling was the best I've ever tasted. It has a very restful atmosphere and is a charming old house. Would certainly recommend.

We had a nice meal albeit a bit pricey, but I just don’t think this restaurant is as good as it used to be. The attention to detail and personal element is now lacking. No mention was made of the ‘specials’ available when we were given menus or when we ordered. We had side plates but weren’t offered bread or rolls to go with our starters. There was only one variation on the dessert menu for the cheesecake of the day. The food was very good and there was a good choice of drinks including some great looking cocktails, although these have increased massively in price over the last two years. It used to be amongst the top restaurants in the area, but now sits ‘in the pack’ with other cheaper competitors available.

As a couple we have been going to Regginas for years, top quality food, fantastic service and lovely atmosphere. Staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming, food is always superb! We tend to try different dishes and go for what are on the specials menu which never disappoints! We have loved our time here so much that Regginas hosted our engagement party on the roof top terrace which was a hit with all our friends and family. The gala nights are brilliant if you are looking for a bit more atmosphere with lovely food, and music. Without a doubt our go to restaurant!

Called in for lunch with colleagues from work. The lunchtime menu doesn't offer as much choice as the evening but it wasn't bad. The lunch menu is a set price depending on how many courses you have, one, two or three. I ordered the lasagna with was tasty but it was unaccompanied by anything. You'd expect that for a £15 lunch portion it would come with a small side salad or a slice of garlic bread. I would hope the full evening menu would come with a bit more description. Place was immaculate and the staff were very attentive but I thought it wasn't good VFM.

Where do you start. From the moment you enter you can tell it is a special place. The food quality and choice is to the highest standard and the service is up there with the very best. The knowledge and friendliness of all the staff led by Josh shows that this restaurant really cares about its customers. First class. Best restaurant around. Highly recommend

Had a lovely lunch (Monday lunchtime) with friends to celebrate a birthday. Only two other diners eating, so it was like a private dining experience. The waiter was very attentive, but not annoyingly so. Gave us enough time to eat and chat, without long waits or rushing us out! The food was lovely too. Friends that had pasta were full, but managed deserts. The friend whose birthday it was had her desert arrive with a candle in it. Nice touch and unexpected!!!

We came here for our Galentines celebrations and we had such a lovely evening! The service was great, made even better by the charming, authentic service (especially the one rocking the moustache). Another lovely meal. Our go to place for Sunday lunch with my parents. Service is attentive and friendly, food portions generous and very tasty. Good vegan options - my vegetable plank was delicious. Highly recommend.

Lovely location, easy park ar the rear. Great choice of food, attentive staff. Only criticism would be over attentive staff, not allowing enough time between visits to enjoy the occasion.

We came here for my Birthday and we have been before and have never been disappointed. Headed straight into the main course of Bistecca Reggina. That is fillet steak stuffed with dolcelatte cheese and wrapped in pancetta then served with a port wine jus and saviardi potatoes (much like potato dauphinoise). What can I say, the steak was a good one and a good size, really well cooked, the taste and texture were to die for and the potatoes.... you have to try this. There's a really nice ambiance here and it's always a pleasure to have dinner with friends but not too often. It needs to stay extra special!!

We booked on the day to meet half way to meet family. Great night had by old on the coldest night of the year. Lovely atmosphere, busy too We met our daughter and Grandaughter aged 2 who enjoyed the olives, zucchini fritters and also tried my lobster. Visited on new years eve for an early celebration lunch. From the second we stepped foot in the door we were treated as an inconvenience. The waiter was so rude to us, tapping his watch at us and rolling his eyes. He actually said to us, can we be quick as he wanted to go home to get ready for new years eve. It was 2pm! The restaurant was full and if they wanted earlier reservations they should of called us and asked us to do 1pm which we would of obliged to. We regularly used to go to reginas but now as a group we have decided we wont visit again. The food was very average at best for a while since the chef left but being loyal customers we didn’t let it phase us. Now after receiving this horrific service on what should of been an enjoyable celebration we absolutely wont go again and have told our other friends and family we used to go with as well.

Lived in Botley for forty+ years, but never visited until recently. We had heard good things, and were expecting a great experience, and it nearly was. Atmosphere and staff, top notch. The food however wasn't as top notch as we were expecting. Had the gamberoni to start. And it was very wet. The "toasted "ciabatta. Was nothing more than mush, at the bottom of the bowl. I don't think that is correct. But even if it is, it's not how I like it. My partner had the Ragu. And again that was in a pool of rather weak liquid. Clearly hadn't been reduced anything like enough. So was really lacking in depth of flavour. This I think is absolutely rule number one, for an Italian restaurant. My Risotto was very nice. As where both of our deserts, the roulade and the raspberry and almond tart. Maybe just unlucky. But for us food wise, it wasn't right there.

Excellent food. Excellent service. Excellent atmosphere. Our party included a 95 year old lady who required additional attention. This was met in a friendly, kind and courteous manner, which made her feel special rather than awkward. We cannot praise this restaurant more.

Not been here for several years - not sure why as the food, service and ambiance were excellent. The lasagna gets the highest praise - well done to the kitchen team!

Having passed this establishment MANY times over numerous years , i finally took the plunge .. accompanied by my Wife .. & one other relative . Found Regginas to have a very fresh pleasant ambience , plus very helpful attentive male staff ( both with Portuguese bloodlines ) .. who were equally delightful . Was hoping to use my basic Italian lingo , learnt a few moons ago .. but alas had to use my three Portuguese words instead . This very minor point , obviously didn't detract from our evening . Lovely food , well presented & enjoyed thoroughly by all three of us . I would highly recommend this venue for ANY special Family event , as there is more to this place .. than the outside view of these premises would assume . Both the ground floor , & first floors have quirky corners .. plus bigger tables for a range of table settings . Also a separate first floor function room ideal for private parties .. with an adjoining covered outside balcony . All this doesn't seem possible for the uninitiated like myself , on first viewing from the outside . So in summing up , i wouldn't hesitate to return .. in other words .. don't take as long as me to sample this place . To the staff , & owner(s) .. grazie tante tutti - a presto ! .

Again another excellent meal at Regina’s. Every time we go it’s fantastic. Whether it’s an evening meal or lunch it never disappoints.

Not cheap but quality never is. This is one of the best Italian restaurants in hampshire food is lush.

This is an attractive Italian restaurant, with oak beams and linen table-cloths - a pleasant place to east. We chose from the two-dish set menu (£27). I enjoyed my mushrooms in sauce, also the seabass, with a good sauce, potatoes, pea shoots, snap peas, etc. I ended with an excellent tiramisu. We drank sauvignon blanc and Italian draught lager. The service was very friendly and efficient, and a good time was had by all.

What a hidden Gem!! I am so impressed with this restaurant, the waiter was ever so helpful and couldn't do enough for us. the building and decor was beautiful and the food was sensational. We had the lunch offer, which was amazing value. The chicken main was well presented and tasted amazing, We had roulade and cheesecake and they were so tasty and everything seemed homecooked and fresh. I would definitely come here again
